sa 7 x 2
Over hill, over dale, we have hit the dusty trail, ac the ca7s go rolling along!
I don't have any ca 7s yet
One ca 7 is yummy!
the melon, liz?
Ice cream
I don't see the ice cream
me either
It goes round in a circle in the grid. Often contains candied fruit
Italian, I think
Maybe it's called something else in the US
thought italian ice cream is called gelato
I don't have the melon, though.
me neither liz - only one I can think of is canteloup
Me too.
have the melon but no ice cream . . .
derogatory term for breast too ca 7
I can clue if wanted.
finished
wow -- kudos, ru
Congrats Ru
Congrats, ru.
well done ru
little toughie .. hi neil
Hi. :)
the derogatory term is not within my area of expertise!
LOL Nan
think big melons
:D
back to canteloups
Haha!
Found the melons - new word for me!
they are big and yellow with green flesh nan
delicious too
2 different spellings for the melons
Never seen them here or in the UK
very common here
and especially in LA :D
:P
Bye for now - off to airport to fly home. BBL
bye liz
only green melon I know of is the honeydew
google melons nan
it's very common
no break down clues?
it's a yellow melon with GREEN Flesh
I've never heard of nor seen one ruru
begins with Spanish house and ends with most of the worst rock group in history
Haha. You've got that right, ru!
that gave me the 1st half but never have liked nor listened to rock music
monkeyed it -- a new one for me
Don't think they'd fall into the 'rock' category though, would they? More like 'schmaltz'. :P
more luck smutz
or 'elevator music' in other words.
ty ruru
Yep... that too.
it's a delicious melon nan.. very sweet
oh.. god imagine being stuck in an elevator with that crap on
don't knock elevator music, neil --- some day that will be the only music you know the words to
ROFL nan
LOLOLOLOL
Good thing melonheadjujube isn't here right now.
<--choking
That day will never be, cybernan. Not to worry!
Oh.. I wish I was around when Neil is old
oh the optimism of the young!
absolutely nan
Nope. I just have musical taste: http://tinyurl.com/NN-Blogger (\nlist of favorite music there)
Hire a 30 year old.. while they still know it all :D
same here ruru -- like most young people he has no concept of what happens when you age
Where did that "\n" come from?
he will.. then he will be enlightened later in life
Still? I know a fraction of "it all".
as for me -- I have a very difficult time hearing any music at all in most of the so-called songs that are being produced now
Whaaaatever. :P
oh sure.. you're wise in many ways.. but ...
Oook, nan. You'd probably hate everything I listen to then. :P
most of the songs today are trash.
Even though I have awesome taste in music. ;)
(if he doesn't say so himself)
the only new singers I come close to liking are the Frank Sinatra wannabes
Hey. List for yourself: http://bit.ly/JoWjPM
Huh. Oook... at least ru will disagree with that. ;)
aaand I'm saying NOTHING. :P Haha.
I like some of the Sinatra stuff.. he had a lot of talent
I trend more toward the blues and jazz as a rule.. pop stuff doesn't do much for me
I like Frank Sinatra too.
I like the early stones, the beatles, Joe Cocker, Toad the Wet sprocket, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha, Al Green, Bonnie Riatt, Jonny Lang.. etc
blues and jazz were once considered pop as well ... as was Beethoven in his day
I don't like all of Sinatra's stuff.. but he really had a lot of talent and a great voice
I just meant that you would disagree with "the only new singers I come close to liking are the Frank Sinatra wannabes", ru.
oh
Yeah. I can listen to him any day.
sure
you didn't like Dean and his gold diggers, ru?
Michael Bubbli is boring as hell
Pretty much.
Bubblé, isn't it?
Bono is even more boring
Bubble -gum I think isn't it?
U2 have some good songs though.
they do
and they were impressive at the super bowl
Bono is a freak though
I tried to listen to u2 once -- too noisy and no melody
I like a couple of their songs
Yeah. Well I've always like them... their older stuff mostly, which my parents had in their collections.
Haha @ "Bubble -gum I think isn't it?" :D
their guitarist is really excellent
I just saw Jonny lang in concert.. he was amazing
yes, wel it was one of my kids' u2 tapes that I tried to listen to
http://bit.ly/1cWi1ag
oh.. I really don't know the names of the songs I like nan.. i'll try to find them on you tube sometime
I'd love to be a jugadore :D
Ohh god. -_- *rolls eyes*
you started it
well at least I adore.. oh never mind
I did?
simon!!
Uhhh, ru? Check your email... unless you have pretty recently already? Haha.
a while ago.. it was very funny
yeah. I'm trying to think of a suitably smart-assed response to that one. :P
you'll come up with something.
I'm heading to bed.. good to see you. take care
night ru -- i'm off as well - good night everyone
Probably just a big eye-roll. :P Night... I'm crashing too. TC.
night neil
c7/40 clue please

Good morning, my friends:)

gran, ca7. ca + double consonant + vowel + most of sheep sound
good morning crossy. xox
((rose)) ty for ca7
Hey Rose - As Yogi Berra said, "It's like deja vu all over again".
*giggling* hey dianne
Rose, how are you feeling?
magnesium has worn off. :-( but otherwise still good. no pain.
Glad to hear that the pain is subsiding.
i am going to call the clinic tomorrow. doc was trying to organise something so that i can have more magnesium at 2 weeks.
how are you doing, dianne? did you ever try that fried rice recipe ?
Honestly I never tried the recipe - too easy to order in. I'm doing o.k. Still have ;ingering cough from a nasty cold but it is better and better every day.
Last one en 6/18 clue please
gran, en6. en + vowel + abbreviation for not brother
Thanks
lolllll, dianne. naughty you... but you are right. when you are working and not well, ordering in is so nice.
I misses ordering in Chinese food:(
miss
I made wonderful chicken breast last nigjt - stuffed with parma ham and cheese. It was terrific.
can't afford it, crossy? or just no place for it in the diet?
Almost a chicken cordon bleu
*drooling* dianne how yummy. and how clever !!
No place for it in the household budget. for three of is it tends to hist around $40
Almost crossy
Rose, send crossy the fried rice recipe.
Please just read through typos. My fingers are rebellious today.
could you not put a few dollars away each week or when you can?
Yes, I shall have to budget for treats better:)
crossy ?? did i or didn't i already send it to you?
I cannot remember, rose
okay. will send it to you.
cool:))
dinner ready. bbl. btw crossy found the recipe. will send it after dinner. xoxox

Speaking of school, my grad ceremonies are fast approaching. I will post pics on my web site after the big day;)) going to look at your recepie now, rose
has bacon in it, so it is a winner:))
lollll....yeah.... but no maple syrup, right?
Actually, I am not a huge maple syrup fan.
I do not use it on pancakes, however, i do cook with it from time to time
Bacon, on the other hand, goes with everything:))
Good morning people.
good morning sukee
Hi Rose.
Howdy, Sukee.
I am wearing my short yoga pants to go exercise today :)
Hi crossy.
Finally :)
Just had a interesting read on setting up barrels to collect and filter rain water for home consumption. Too bad that the powers that be in California have made it illegal in places to collect rain water on your own property, because homeowners out there could go back to old catchment systems like these barrels and cisterns.
I see they have changed the neighborhood beautification by-laws out there so you are not charged if you lawn dies.
Maybe officials will make an exception during the drought?
No, it seems the rule was put in place BECAUSE of the drought
Insane, no one owns the rain.
They want the rainwater to go to ground and not be diverted
it is odd indeed, but google it. I would challange that one
If I lived out there i would most certainly challenge it.
I stand corrected. seems the law is changing minute by minute.
http://tinyurl.com/nwr7jfv
My brother is in Vegas, and all their ware comes mostly from lake Mead. I wonder how it is holding out?
water
I haven't heard much about the drought.
the lake is at it lowest ever at 30% capacity:(

appropriate that there is a Star Wars word in the grid today :)
I hear the director bowed out
No... no such thing as climate change.... right...
People love playing the fiddle while Rome burns:)
Interesting, listening to In Flanders Fields in Dutch right now.
I had a period where I was fascinated by the Welsh language.
I may try and learn it(if there are lessons to be had) once I am done helping out at the school
So many interesting languages still. My oldest sister taught herself Gaelic.
Which I think is similar to Welsh, not positive.
the celtic group of languages
We have a babbler taking courses in it now. Will have to dig for info:)
an interesting language: "Iechyd da i chwi yn awr ac yn oesoedd"
Not to mention some of the place names.
Have to love those. need signage 5 feet long
Okay, I have to go get ready to go out.
Need half an hour to look presentable :)
Have a good day, sukee.
I need more than that:)
You too. Take care.
I just can't see the sa 5/12. Clue please.

ugh, all those changes in time differences. DST is a bitch. Anyway, very happy to see you. How are you today?
not too bad. had my first appointment with the vocational guidance guy. i still cannot see why workcover are pushing me so hard to go back to work.
I guess if you can earn money in any other way, they think they can get away with not paying you
yeah. btw i have the last IME report. want me to send it to you? makes for interesting reading.
sure
it's a pdf file.
no problem
so how are you my dearest?
a little disappointed about the difference in weight loss. Otherwise, I am fine :)
oh ??? did her scales weigh you differently ??
noooo, you haven't been yet... duh me.
so what has happened?
yeah. 3 whole kilograms different. It was a bit of a bummer. But she was very enthusiastic about it, at least.
well at least you both agree that 2 1/2 kgs have gone.
yeah, true. I received a whole lot of compliments about the way I am going about it.
Could I get a clue for sa7, please?

ca7. ca + vowel + double consonant + not off
ty, rose. I should have seen that one since it appears often in my book.
thanks
oh i adore having my back scrubbed. but we would never get out of the shower if DH did that>
lol. We often stay till the hot water runs out:)
how lovely for you both. xoxox
need one of those on-demand hot water systems
or access to a gym with communal showers for couples... * grin *
I love the idea of only heating the water as you need it instead of keeping 35 gallons hot at all times
Hi all and hugs, Rose

I love the pics I have seen so far!
But so cold in the house! It's 20 C here now. first thing I did was take off my jeans and put my shorts back on.
I always wanted to visit Melbourne. I would demand 50% off the top on my bills though as royalty payments;))
Now need to see what pics hubby took.
Yes, you should - discounts for namesakes.
ditto from me about liz.

g'day aloy
hi granny (-:
good day in ohio/florida?
or is it night time?
florida.. 8:13am , sunny and lovely
oh, nice, aloy. do you have much to do today?
already did my sunrise water monitoring.. later I'll do some pruning and weeding and then figure out what kind of gourmet meal to fix tonight, lol.. what have you got planned?
nearly my bedtime, dear. but i had a visit to my vocational guidance counsellor. as i asked him...just what do you expect a critical care nurse to do when she is no longer employed in that capacity?
oh my, with your skills.. there must be a need.. what was the reply?
aloy... i need to have done 20+ hours of education to maintain my education. which has been impossible. one suggestion was a filing clerk... for heaven's sake !!
sorry.. to maintain my registration.
no.. that underutilizes your expertise.. can you take courses on line?
aloy, i have 22 months until i can retire on the old-age pension. right now, my fibromyalgia is still uncontrolled, and the nerve pain in my knee is appalling.
i really don't where this company is coming from. if they had stepped in and helped me 8 months ago i would still be employed.
I'm so sorry you are going through this! I only know one person with fibromyalgia.. she is in her 40's.. for her, she has flare ups, but then long periods of feeling ok..
aloy, i have never had time off from work because of the FM. this time however, the pain from the damaged nerve in my knee is not allowing the FM to die down.
rats.. does it keep you up at night?
no6, please?
well not up per se... but definitely awake. in fact the pain wakes me up... and then i toss and turn trying to find a comfortable position.

Don't have it yet, MLF.
IS7 gloves usually given around christmas
MLF - button on top of page - says "Refresh Babble".
Annie gave a great clue for en7 and 8...en and ends like a Disney movie (Where Mickey wears the sorcerer's cap)
The F5 key also refreshes
Wow. Had to wrack brain for Disney movie. Got it though.
Mickey's been out of the spotlight for a while. Not aging gracefully I suspect.
I hear all those old, out of work Disney characters are hitting the bottle pretty hard. Sad.
Living in the back lot trailers, like common vermin.
Poor Pluto. After years of therapy, he still hasn't figured out whether he is a dog, or a man that looks like a dog.
Rumor has it that he's a hermaphrodog.
What? No groans?
Well hermaphro- is between genders. Crossing species, you get a chimera...
However, I think Pluto is clearly a dog. It's Goofy that's the confused one.
Well, thank you professor smarty pants.
morning all, could someone clue me the sa 5 and 5 combo please
I live to inform :)
I feel a certain bond with goofy
And a chimera can be a cross-breed.
Ruru, can you help me with the SA 5/6 combo?

I'm finding edibles on the keyboard today. Literally. Where's the cleaning supplies?

I think the rescue group has found a home for my two fosters
Oh here we go. Same song, different verse. *Sigh*

That's why I use flea and tick application
Hello Molly. Which song is that?
They're not difficult, they just aren't housebroken
I do, too, so it may have been dead. I couldn't tell, though
The group assault on this board. It's getting so old.
I overcame my revulsion to ticks, anything for my Rufe!
I worry about Lyme disease in the dogs and us
toxoplasmosis here. At least when I get one, I'm not furry and I hold still
I thought that was a cat disease
I may b e wrong, I thought that my friend's dog got crippled from a tick-borne disease other than Lyme. I've been wrong before (and often)
No, it doesn't come from a tick. You should Google it, because it's too disgusting to talk about here
I'll look it up later. Thanks

yes now i must go figure out if i can open a window or need the air. the pollen count is through the roof.
turn on the air and just be done with it. no sense in having to get out of bed in a few hours with a stuffed head - to get allergy meds AND turn the air on
i raked leaves from under the azaleas and had to take a benedryl on top of flonase. arms were rashy and itchy.
