*struggles in* {{hugs}} my dearest sprite. gosh, i feel ghastly.
*hold rose in a warm hug* My poor darling. Am so sorry you feel rotten. Call doc John first thing tomorrow, ok?
i am absolutely freezing. it is cold, but as you know i don't feel the cold.
btw, i think i have found a way around this stupid return to work thingy.
nope, this is cold that comes with feeling rotten. Not easily remedied.
oh good! Please tell me.
my doc, being truthful says i do have some capacity to work. i can sit and i can use my hands. but what if she also wrote a medical cerrtificate to say i am too unwell to work?
that sounds good to me. And exactly the truth.
if doc John would be willing to do the same, your case would be a lot stronger.
yeah, i think so too. both certificates tell the truth. workcover will have to accept the truth.
have already thought of that * grin *
hehehe great minds...
as i keep saying i am simply not well enough to work.
I remember I found that one of the toughest things in the whole process. The amount of 'whining' you have to do before they take you seriously. While your normal attitude is to downplay any weakness you find in yourself.
muscles still achy, i think i might take some paracetamol as well.
darling, if things are bad enough to make you very nauseated and cold, you should take anything that can help. Don't forget your magnesium.
don just felt my face. i am burning up.
ok, not to sound silly or anything... but could it be you have some virus going on there?
Rose, it sounds as if you need some serious hand holding today.
that's what i am wondering.
hi jaxx :) Yes, she does, doesn't she
aww jaxx. i have had one of spritey's hugs.
Sounds like a virus to me. Not a lot to be done but keep warm, rest and lots of fluids. As for me I have knobbly nodules!
on the thyroid, jaxx?
aw that is so very unpleasant.
Indeed. Some have cysts in them.
poor jaxx. i just have the nodules. no cysts as yet. what is your doc's plan?
Will see him on the 22nd. I will be able to tell you more then. meanwhile we keep holding hands.
*hugs jaxx* all that waiting, huh... awful.
np's jaxx. * takes firmer grip on jaxx's hand*
sprite, what is on your agenda for today?
Jaxx holds on to Rose's hand and wishes her better soon.
oh, gosh. don has brought his dinner in here. i am trying to n ot smell it.
a little less than I planned, probably. My body is protesting the gardening I did yesterday. So.. dusting... laundry... shopping... cooking dinner.
oh sweetheart, please tell him to eat somewhere else.
Much as you love them, men can be so dense sometimes.
amen, sister
keep talking....ugh..... the smell of meat....
please do't overdo it darling. just the bare essentials. xoxox
I really want to get my berry bushes in the ground. Stupid body.
how has the boyo been behaving?
*smug side note: greyed out the right column*
*giggles* what all those words ??? my... how clever you are...
I will be off, ladies. time to go and vote. Not that I have decided who to vote for. Look after yourselves and, Sprite, take a rest the bushes will still be there tomorrow. Bye for now.
bye jaxx, all the best!
xoxox jaxx. i hope you can enjoy your day.
I know, rose, I know... I am so smart I astound myself :D
it will be quiet after the hype of the last month.
jaxx, do you HAVE to vote? is it compulsory?
sprite ?? do you know ?? is it compulsory to vote in the UK ?
roflolllll my son is singing. He couldn't carry a tune if it came in a bucket. But it sounds so happy.
no I don't think so, rose.
oh, gosh. how lovely, sprite.
what language is he singing in??
he is tidying up downstairs. So that I can dust later today.
only God knows.
probably english.
does he sound like a cat whose tail has been stood on?
no, not at all, his voice is very very low. He sounds a bit like a happy drunk... but he is fully sober.
roflollllll, good for him.
yeah :) I am enjoying it. I suggested we would organise a bbq for tomorrow and for him to invite some friends. He is really into it.
good for you sprite. i hope he doesn't invite the whole neighbourhood.
no, only 5 people. His girfriend and 4 guys. Two are bringing their guitar and bass. It is gonna be a great night.
which reminds me... must drop by the new neighbours and tell them, and ask them to give us a yell when it is too loud or too late.
how lovely. i bet you will enjoy it too.
oh I will. Very much my kind of thing. Good food, good company and good music.
Good morning, my friends:)
hello dear crossy *hugs*
good morning my dear crossy. xoxox
((sprite))
((rose))
how are you and the beautiful Mrs Elegant?
crossy, did you do anything special for your birthday yesterday?
No, but the kids at the school found out and got me a cake:) Was nice; everyone in the class got a slice;)
it was crossy's B'day? Happy belated birthday, dear friend. May you enjoy many more in good health and happiness.
oh wow !! how special was that ?!?!

I think net year i shall start with "un-birthday's"
next
counting down?
did you see the 101 year old man pulled from the wreckage of is ouse a week after the earthquake in nepal?
Yup; every year from now on I take on off.
no I don't watch the news...
I also have been mostly avoiding the news except for a quick 5 minute glance on cnn.com
silly crossy. Bear your years with pride. You earned every grey hair and wrinkle... and every little bit of wisdom you gathered.
he was amazing. he looked more like 65 years....they breed them tough over there.
Wisdom, Ha! Been married 22 years, and the only thing about women that i can say with any certainty is that it has something to do with chocolate:)
lolllll.
hm yeah, chocolate works. You know enough, crossy :)
lol
That and to say "Yes, dear"
yeah well that one goes without saying. 'Yes dear' and "I am sorry" will take you everywhere.
Speaking of which, it is time to awaken my better half. brb
sprite...you forgot the sick puppy look....roflollll
hehehe kiss her awake, prince charming
*giggles* Ever since Shrek, 'prince Charming' brings back quite a different kind of image...
ouch yeah, the sick puppy look...

Ugh, I have to work all day and be on call, and we have a nice sized grid.
so not fa4 scrabs.
I will work on the grid tonight before bed. I find it relaxing to locate and type in words.
Okay, time to go get ready to go out. Take care all.
Bye, sukee.
xoxox sukee dear.
160 left for tonight. Bye, kids.
Nice grid indeed. It is my favorite size of between 200 and 300
anything under that range is a babblet filled nightmare and any thing over that spectrum is nothing but a typing endurance contest:)
LOL crossy
Sigh.. Now I know why i rarely turn on the news anymore. North Korea is loudly polishing their new arsenal of nuclear weapons once again :(
Good morning!
Crossy, sorry to have missed you yesterday...HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!

We got a call from our vet yesterday. Our almost 13 year old cat, Duchess, who had surgery for mammary cancer just after her 10th birthday (with a prognosis of 22 months survival rate) had a biopsy last week. Results are in. It was malignant, but no indication of metastasis. We have chosen not to have her undergo a complete mastectomy, with the full and unqualified support of the vet. We are just going to keep caring for her and checking her periodically as we have beeb doing. It just breaks my hearrt, but I do not believe she should be put through major surgery at this point. The vet said Duchess and her sisters are very lucky to live in our home, with people who love them so much and take such good care of them. We have virtually every medical record all of these cats have ever had. The vet said she has never seen anyone keep such meticulous records for pets.
((Angelsong))

Greetings, fellow mammals.
It can also be a female type of voice....used in yodelling
vocal harmonics!
i'm still 2 F's short of a terrible report card
Yodelling is really just a cry for help.
only if you are falling from an alp, Judi!
was just testing to see if there are any string players here
Yodeling is hard if you are alpless
every one in a while i get amnesia and deviate from my no clue policy. hopefully, this is it for the year.
lol ruru!
DOODY doesn't count either????
it was a good clue to -- I just didn't know that the 8/9 began with fa
down to 100 -- time to get some breakfast - bbl
i am glad it worked for you, nan. it was fun finding it last night.
*checks joseph's temp*
Why are you checking my temp
To see if you are delirious
stuck right out as soon as I knew those beginning letters -- mind you I have the advantage of having been a music teacher
thinking DOODY should be a word makes me delirious?
Uh..yeah
my stomach thinks my throat's been cut .....
If it makes you feel any better, JJ, some of my friends call me "doody".
not the kindest friends, are they?
Terms of endearment. Go figure.
Yeah but your friends are drunk a lot judi :D
LOL, Ru. How did you know??
Just a guess
I was just using a temporal scanner joseph :D
Clue for Is6, please?
is + vowel + what peas grow in
Howdy Doody!!!
Ty.
Ha ha. Hiya, Bich!
102 left and I'm not liking this grid much.
DR7?
Ends like the Doris Day song Que...
Thanks
ty molly
dr + fourth vowel + either Italian evening or Latin plural of serum
Love that song.
*Bets Judi likes How Much Is That Doggie In The Window too
ty Erda
yw bichon
Hmm. Not so much. "Pillow Talk" is a good one too.
Obviously, I've seen all of the Doris Day / Rock Hudson movies.
<---Had the Doris Day part in Pajama Game in High School
Oooh. A starring role. Celebrity status for Molly.
Not really, what an awful musical. I did meet my first husband that way though.
Well, all that time in pajamas had to lead to something.
Didn't mind Doris Day -- couldn't stand Rock too-smooth Hudson --- but those musicals were the low point in the history of musical theatre I think
Most musicals don't translate too well in high school adaptations. However, traditions must be observed.
<--would pay anything for a video of that play
High schools are famous for doing plays that have cheap book cost rates. Ru, there was a video. It was so long ago that it was on reel to reel. : D
:D.. at least it wasn't cave drawings
Can we get an A/V geek in here to transfer the reel - to-reel to digital?
I was actually taking TV class at the time so the guys in the class did the filming so they could endlessly mock me : D
Who knows. It may be on the internet somewhere. What a horrifying thought.
* I can hear Ruru Googling now *
I have the vocal fa9. What does the other 9 start with?
fi 9 compound word
The Doris Day movie in question didn't star Rock Hudson. Just sayin'. It was Jimmy Stewart, I think! The Man Who Knew Too Much
She actually sang that song in two movies.
I loved the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies [as a teenager]. Also loved her with Jimmy Stewart in The Man Who Knew Too Much [Hitchcock]
She sang it really loud at one point in The Man Who Knew Too Much. Trying to get her kidnapped son to whistle in response.
Is the fi9 hot?
Yes, that was such a fabulous picture. Two great stars and an auteur working together
yes Alleyn
Ty for the Fi9 clue.
yvw
fer a
to 7/8?
Can't remember the first film she sang that in. She was singing it as a lullaby to her child. First film was in black & white. MWKTM was in color.
Had the most annoying student today. She was catching up on some last-minute assignments, and I said "If you wish, I will edit that for you for grammar and readability," and she replied "No, thank you. I do not edit;I just type it out and hand it in. I cannot be bothered with going over something twice." This from a 22 year-old student.. Had to shake my head and walk away after her not getting the idea after several attempts on my part;(
That would discourage me from being a teacher
Uhg, Crossy. How annoying. I hope spelling and grammar are graded. Ding her on every little thing.
It was the signature song for the Doris Day Show
actually Judi.. I don't google people on the internet I leave that up to other players here :D
Some are just after a bare-minimum pass--nothing more.
lazy ru
<--is glad there wasn't a "p" missing there as a typo :D
That is sad. Unless she does everything right the first time. * laughs hysterically *
to 7/8?
The stalky stalker players Ru?
Above deck on a ship, Bichon.
No, I highly doubt she does. Most of us do not on a first draft.
ty Judi
Imagine how amusing her first resume will be.
hello...clue for the po7? pls
Oh well. Everybody has the right to fail.
clue for the di 8((non- agreement) please
no di8
de8/50
di 7: 1st three of another word for plate cup or bowl + rope
Good clue Nan
There are rewards, however. had one female student who is 19 years old and up until these classes the bulk of her reading had been the sides of cereal boxes, and the instructions printed on make-up containers. i had the joy of helping her with her very first book .
looking for that po7 now, phaeton
lol, look at all my typos:)
found the po8
good heavens -- where has she been for the last 15 years!
Clue for that Po8, please?
She had only read what had to be read--nothing more
... sorry nan ... she is in no way unique
pole and hot stuff in a pit
lol..that was terrible
po7 refers to a time after you finish a high college degree. Ends in abbreviation for MD
Her first book ended up being "Of Mice and Men" :)
don't know how she got through school without reading a book!
Did she like it?
ty Molly
ty molly
Well, I am sure she read for assignments, but had never actually sat down and read a novel all the way through. seems theses kids haunt the Sparknotes web site
... easy ... simply refuse to read and an educational assistant will do it for you
de7/36?
She loved it. She cried when Lennie died:)
po8 starts the same as the po7, add hot burning flames to it
pojohnnycash
damn it
Uhg. One of our cops has a 13 year old son who neglects to do his homework. He has taken to doing stuff for him. I wan to strangle both of them.
very close, ru:))
Although, he admits he was the same way when he was 13. However, his parents did not do assignments for him. They let him sit in detention to catch up on his work.
<---never went to detention
<---lying like a rug too
I attended the detention classes back in the day myself:)
<---Lived in detention (I'm sure no one is surprised by that)
I had detention a few times. Just did homework. Not a big deal.
I used to read in detention :)
lol. Molly joined the school play just to get out of detention.
I almost didn't get to be in the school play because I got caught skipping school
I'm well into the grid and so far i have no animals. That's always a bad sign.
Geesh. The things we did to get detention - now kids get expelled AND arrested.
yes, judi, but when i was in high school they still used corporal punishment. Got the strap several times
I do not know how crippling a persons hands can possibly made the schoolwork improve...
Cpl punishment was out by the time I got to middle school. Remember being spanked in elementary school, though.
Also remember a gym teacher who would swat kids on the top of the head. He wore a class ring and he hit hard. Sadistic bastard.
I had a priest that taught us who threw erasers at people
My gym teacher used to just make us do laps or climb one of those ropes that were tied to the rafters
Like Elvis Costello, his aim was true
Ha ha, Molls. I had a 5th grade teacher who did that too. He had good aim. Branded by chalk dust. Oh the shame.
Had one teacher who used to go through several yard-sticks a year. she used to send them whistling down on the surface of a desk to get our full and undivided attention.
No one is more deadly with a ruler or yardstick than an old nun
My beloved had one of those. They used to try and "beak" her of being a left handed writer--it was not plesant.
break
But, if you were good and answered a particularly difficult question, he would throw a hershey's kiss to you.
*!* ta da *!*
I like the idea of a Hershey's kiss for correct answers:)
is the fi9 a compound word?
...yup
where was this crossy? - trying to switch lefties went out in the 40's here
yes
She was in Sunday school for those who needed penmanship assistance. I imagaine she would of been 7-12 years old
a religious school?
her family was never really "churchy" but i gather it was free and it game mum and dad a afternoon off.
I do not know all the details, but i can tell you one thing; there is no sense in trying to convert a lefty.
weird -- my grade 6 teacher just handed me a ball point pen when everyone else had to use those old Maclean's stick pens
In grade school we had those big, fat writing pencils, and you had to earn a pen by showing proper writing skills
some things are possible to learn right handed, but not much
cyber they were still trying to switch left hand writers to right hand writers in 1950 when I was in the first grade in the Usa!
... yeah but a ball point pen was expensive then ...
glad I didn't go to school in the usa then
I would have gotten straight A's in grade school if it hadn't been for penmanship!
i went to a regular public school , and did not have to deal with nuns:)
I don't think we had to pick up pens until 4th or 5th grade. Pencils, crayons, chalk. Hmm. Never really thought much about it.
yes - but a ball point was definitely better than a bunch of smeared lines on a page. Even with the ball point my hand would be blue along the edge
My first grade teacher tied my left hand behind my chair back. My mother finally came up and said the I would teach myself how to write left handed.
I went to public elementary school in the 1940 and I never saw a teacher hit a student
there was no leeway given on penmanship -- it had to be Macleans -- backhand was verboten -- so silly really
I did backhand, my beloved had to learn cursive.
I remember the Palmer Method for penmanship..I loved it.
... we were using fountain pens to start grade five in 1959 ... but about the end of the school year they came up with an inexpensive ball point for everyone ... ... before that a ballpoint pen would set you back at least 4$ so fountain pens with liquid ink made more economic sense
we had Maclean's Method in Canada -- probably the same thing
Fountain pens - big mess if they leaked or exploded.
*plays bye bye ms American pie on the monitors*
... I didn't say it was a good idea ... just that it was an idea
oh well -- it is still a right handed world
We had a fountain pen fashion trend when I was in 7th & 9th grade.
My beloved uses fountain pens with those plastic ink cartridges. Likes the feel of them. Me, I will write with any old thing.
... that's why adults wanted you to be converted ... ... unless you were catholic and they left handed meant sinister in Latin
Time to jet off for lunch. Later, kids!
tc, Judi
... fa8/9 for anyone looking for the other nine
on my way as well - hagd everyone
I wonder if anyone has ever looked at historical, and prehistorical approaches to left-handedness, through the centuries...
I am sure the information is out there somewhere.
Would make for an interesting paper.
It seems that it would be good for hunters and warriors to have a few lefties in the bunch.
lefties would have the ability to fire their weapons at angles, and in positions that righties would find awkward.
When my beloved writes, for example, the page is almost up-side-down. Do not know how she does it.
... but you're presupposing they made left handed golf clubs ... ... if you're casting stuff for right handed warriors and hunters and you've got right handled handles do you bother to make stuff with left handed handles
... they do now ... but historically .. I'd bet it was unusual
... and you wouldn't fit into a shield wall
There you go. there is another paper; did they make left handed weapons in pre-historic times?
Well, when the weapon is a rock, you don't have to worry about the handle.
Like the ole left-handed monkey wrench:)
Some weapons don't need to be specialized. Think baseball bats!
... yeah ... but for a sword you do ... and I'd bet for a long bow and for a cross bow you would ... ... or at least you'd be more effective with a proper grip
The harp world is disproportionately left handed.
one size fits all:)
Something like 50% of professional harpists are left-handed.
interesting. Now there is another paper. take all the popular musical instruments, find the top 100 players on the planet for each one , and identify how many are lefties v.s righties.
just googled stone age left handed....interesting
Must go and see a man about a horse:) back in a few...poink!
I am missing an 8. I have al, de,fa and po. what am I missing?

The Saturday Evening... + abbreviation for MD...not a nurse
OH...I thought MD was Maryland
brain dead today
I don't think you can abbreviate MD any further
ouw that's what I was thinking
*Wonders if Ouwachita and MLF thought that Trapper John MD meant Trapper John Maryland
I think it stands for "Mental Deficiency"
or maybe "Molly Dearest"
Molly seriously?
Quick question: what's an "invisible poster" ? I didn't think posters on chat could be invisible. Someone mentioned an 'invisible poster' yesterday, and I've been wondering ever since.
There was also a mention about Nancy Boy, so my first guess was a babbler pretending to be someone else...
(This is what happens when I don't follow chat regularly :)
I don't know. Could be what you said or someone who creates an alternate identity to post more anonymously.
Tocs
sorry
Mmm... that's probably it, pen. I think it struck me because the comment about it just popped up, and the others on the chat log were all people I recognized. Oh well. (diving back into the grid)
I saw that mention as well and have no idea.We have had some 'baddies' from tome to time but I didn't see one at the time.
Agreed. Maybe it was a private comment between the two that got posted. In any case, nice to see familiar 'faces' today :)
Today is national prayer day
Ch I knowyou can hide the chat
Really? Gosh, I never knew that. Did Dr. God add that feature recently? Re: prayer day --- I read it was international day of prayer, but either way --- always a good thing!
Molly posted a clue for a word she used MD ouw and I thought it was an abbreviation for Maryland. I wasn't sure if it was for that or medical doctor
Have hit a brick wall at 41 left....bbl to finish...bye!
ch I was looking for a different icon to use and that's what it said National Prayer Day
it lited other "days" for today and all the other dates in the month among other months
I have my prayer list on a posty-note stuck to my computer. Kind of prosaic ... and my beloved husband laughs when he sees it.
i know a few who have a prayer list
i pray for people everyday just internalize it ie thinking about them etc
ch where did you get your icon?
It's because my memory is awful. I used to never pray for specific people or needs, but I've come to find it a loving spiritual practice. There are so many ways to pray, in every religion and faith tradition.
My icon? I found the illustration, then put the words on it. The phrase is something I've said for years to my adopted-step-extended family.
my memory is good with some things and bad with other things
its quite beautiful
:)

Please help me with the po 7. Please
Its an educational status. You need to be this after you get your pH d
ty harpjane! the previous clue that F was the fifth lette threw me off.
I finished the novel Mr Mercedes. Not bad at all:) Already decided on my next read. it is by an Aussie writer named Richard Flanagan and is called The Narrow Road To The Deep North. Looks interesting.

Evening all. I'm sorry I missed the earlier chat about the horrors inflictrd by nuns in the name of education. I could write the book.
crossy, I just looked your next book up on Amazon, it does indeed look good and I like other books by the same author.
I've just finished The Girl On The Train. A rattling good yarn. I recommend it.
Soodle, I just looked at that one too, my husband would definitely like that one. I finished Olive Kittredge, a quirky little book set in Maine. I enjoyed it a lot and have been passing it around.
Fuzzy, i am a huge fan of John Irving. Many of his very quirky books are set in Maine. 😃
I like Irving as well.
I must qualify that.... i am a huge fan of Irving's earlier work. His more recent novels disappointed me.
This grid is driving me crazy! 78 left and I think it is time to list.
it's a quirky place... ;o)
It's on my bucket list....
Penquis, Yvette says hi. I told her about meeting you here. She said she was not surprised, that you had a very agile mind.
ha!....tell her i said hi, too....
soodle, Maine is a beautiful place. The coast can be very dramatic, especially in the area known as Downeast. I live in an area called the Great North Woods. We are three hours from the coast, but I live in the mountains, on a lake and the nearest town to us is 50 miles away. We are quite isolated in the woods.
and i am in the Midcoast.....very beautiful place, too....i live about an eighth of a mile from the water as the crow flies....
Soodle, I should add that I love Ireland as well. So many different shades of green. The salmon and lamb are to die for! I got to cut peat in a bog when I visited. A very physical proposition.
never been but would like to go...
Need a clue for to7, please?
I have traveled many places in the world, and Ireland is the only other country I would consider living. The people are incredibly friendly and the food is wonderful. I loved driving down the narrow lanes. Mercedes Benz's have trailer hitches for transporting their milk trailers.
Sorry Marc, don't have it.
to 7.....not bottom + not front or back...
thanks got it and the 8
great clue penquis
Lol! Yup, Fuzzy, you nailed it. I would never live anywhere else, but I sure would love to travel to other places.
ty!
What always amazed me about your houses in Ireland is that they look very plain on the outside, but inside is a whole other world. The workmanship is superb.
And agile mind..interesting...
:oD....i was a problem solver at work....
And a helper...in the helping profession...
yes....school psychologist...
Hmm. I never heard that commented on before, Fuzzy. My house is as dilapidated inside as it is on the outside!
Perhaps Fuzzy was on the upscale side of town : D
We stayed in home B&B's during our travels and most of them were very nice.
topside
se5/16, please?
think of book printing....related to parts of letters...
Well you can get a bed (or a piece of floor) at Soodle's. And a dran good breakfast. But I think the Bed & Breakfast places in Ireland are expensively decorated.
Ah, Jaxx. One of my favourite cuts of beef!
Dran good?
Yup. Breakfast at Soodles is legendary.
Oh, but is it epic? (I'd take the legendary Soodle breakfast any day)
penquis, was that a clue for se5/16? If so I didn't get it, sorry.
That could be, it was 20 years ago and we did it American style....drove 1,800 km in six days, only got stopped for scenic vistas and piles of rocks that had been restored to their original looks. In the evenings we listened to great live music.
Like a font on the computer. Comis Sans...
Oh my God, my typing skills are gone. Comic Sans...
Thanks Molly, good clue
I am lost
i shot the se***
but i did not shoot the deputy . . .
s + H**e we go again + ** you give a mouse a cookie
Three friends of Son of Soodle stopped by for breakfast last Monday. 'Legendary ' was one comment. 'Epic' was another, and the most unsettling was 'orgasmic'. Heck! It was only bacon egg & sausage with a few beans & mushrooms...
:-D
Une, quit shooting fonts : P
hee hee :-)
Yes, but Soodle, they are y-chromos who eat burnt toast for breakfast and wash it down with last night's warm beer
Thanks Molly finally got it
After breakfast, they all went out to try & fix a car. I peered out the window & saw 3 asses in the air, hunched over the hood of a car. I had to call for my smelling salts, I felt so faint.
They should have put their pants on before they went out to fix the car.
Nah! I confiscated their pants, Molls... This is a 'funny post' meant to be read in 'funny font'. I'm not a weirdo. Really!
ro6/7, please?
While the collective sense of humor here borders on the invisible...I would hope that joke was read in good fun. But you never know. Good that you clarified.
i am done... :o)
We'll let helping Pen clue the rest then.
hah!...
Where did everyone go? I still need a clue for ro6 and 7, please?
doody isn't in the dictionary
I have an ro6 which is the latin plural of a speaking platform

hi owl, No. but I haven't listed yet and only 2/3 done.

just catching on to the superlatives.
hey thanks, I hadn't done that yet!
it helps.
was in hackensack today owl. My mom fell and broke her hip about 6 weeks ago, slow recovery. manymore trips to Hackensack than normal
oh i am sorry. is she at home?
yes she is, and feeling more pain than she'd like...She's never been good at it, and the PT is done with much complaint. The good news is that her xray today showed good healing, despite what she says.
that is good news. it is a very bad injury, good healing is a blessing.
yes, never a good thing, particularly for an 87 year old diabetic with many medical issues too begin with.

dr 7/32 please?
anyone here take glucosamine and chondroitin? my dr recommended trying it. it helped her after she broke her foot.
nm got it for fireworks
I take it for stiff joints-knees in particular
i just got that myself. dr + vowel + blood components
does it help? wondering how long it will take to tell.
the glucosamine really helps and I've recommended it to other people and they've benefitted from it as well
is?
how long till you had relief? i have pain.
it takes a while to get into your system and start working-maybe 3 to 4 weeks I think
is + vowel + what peas are in
thx, liv
i seem to be getting gi side effects.
i mean luv
my knee was so stiff that I could hardly move it first thing in the morning or after sitting for a bit but after I started taking it Inever have that problem
haven't heard of that problem before
maybe cut back dosage?
I don't think I take the full recommended dose
only taking two, split them up today,
can take either two or on twice.
did that seem to help?
the jury is still out. i had some issues but not as bad. just took the second.
i thought al8 was two words. hm.
can someone plese help with the po7/40 I am sticking everything with that base word and not getting it
fi4/5
Hi all
hi, liz
po 7/40 - Mail + medic
wow thanks liz never would have monkeyed that
yw
all of my fl words disappeared. no wonder long frids are a slog.
I lose words too :(
feels like bed time.
I suffer from bursiis in both kness, and was on glucosamine for a bit. I found the benefits to be negligable. Perhaps i was too impatient. Some people tell me that it can be as long as two months bwfore any real changes are noticed.
Have a good evening / night TO
Bursitis..cannot type on rhis rablet:-)
Good lord...
lol Crossy!
You get the gist anyways
Like the auto correct on my iPad - I know I can turn it off but sometimes it's useful.
Doing lots of hiking instead. Perhaps i can lise some weight, add more muscle, and take some of the load off the knees. It is tough going sometimes though. My poor knees feel hot today:(
Hiking sounds like serious stuff. We enjoy walking. Perhaps there's some enjoyable exercise less heavy on the knees?
By hiking, i mean lonf walks in the wood. I am nt bringing a huge back pack or anything, just wter and snacks.terrain is a bit up and down though
OK - that sounds like fun - sort of stuff we do in our hinterland (rainforest area) though I do prefer walking on the beach, feet in the water.
We have to leve the beach for the tourist this time of year and hit the forests om the mountain to get away from rhe crowds and commercialism
Our beaches are lovely all year - even in the height of summer, there's enough space that you can walk without seeing too many other people.
You can see a few pics on my web site of where we like to go
But right now we're getting into winter and there are few people on the beach and it's really fantastic.
I've done some of your woodland jigsaws :) Really beautiful.
Must be nice to have your beaches back:-)
I have not added a new puzzle since that picture we took of the deer and wild turkeys together
Sure is. We get the "grey army" up here from Melbourne - but they're not rowdy.
I also haven't added anything recently though I've probably got some nice pics from New Zealand. I'll have to look when I have a minute.
We get rhe good, rhe bad, and the ugly
Fireworks
Hello, 70 to go

You did fine, Bugs tyvm!
(((BUGS HUGS))) *really needing bugs hugs these days*
hey all
hey stid!!! I sure could use some good hugs too. I really want to come see your house and family when school finished. This is the hardest part
once the good weather comes, no one is interested in being inside any more
hi stid, bugs, and aebmusica
hi Stid !
hi Gwen. You are good at being quiet
(((bugs))) yes, hope to see you soon. Right now the house is a total mess... the yard isn't much better. But it will improve, I just need to get through this particular trying time (another week and then the rest goes back to normal). I detest testing.
hey gwen and aeb and lurkers.
My house is always a mess. i don't care about clutter. I live with a hoarder remember.
been stuffed facefirst into the grid ;)
{{{stidmama!}}} So sorry to hug and run, but gotta go, just got fireworks, and still miles to go before I sleep. Love flowing from Philly to westward! Goodnight, all you Babblers! *poof*
I always tell kids that tests are just like doing your assignments or your homework. If you have done all the work in the first place, a test won't have anything new
well... that's okay then. show up any time. we will shovel boxes of school supplies off the furniture so you can sit, and maybe we can organize. I am not a "hoarder" and have strong organizational skills... but all my run-time this year went to planning lessons and preparing materials rather than keeping things organized. The two hours daily of commuting ate into the available energy.
YAY JB!!!! see you soon!!!!
commuting takes more out of you that you realize. I hope you can sleep a lot this summer
two hours to commute? OMG
I hope so too -- thinking right now that teaching summer school might not be a good idea, if we even have summer school (legislature is in extra session to fix the school funding issues).
Well, about an hour each way, gwen -- but that is going to be the case almost anywhere I teach if the local school 12 minutes away doesn't hire me.
If you asked me, I would advise you to use the summer months to replenish your spirit. You will last longer in the long run
That is what I am (reluctantly) thinking, bugs -- going to really need that time to replenish my soul, get ready for next school year and just visit with friends.
Kids and parents need good teachers to stay year after year. If you burn yourself out too soon it would be so sad
Finito. I can try to offer lousy clues if you are wanting any
ok, bye then.
sorry bugs, was chatting with mother quickly
got up to 89 and I think my brain is ded.
