Good morning.
good morning, sukee and everyone
Sukee, yesterday after you said 'going to be 27 here today" people thought it was your 27th birthday. Isn't it nice to be young again? : D
HI Molly
Plural abound
*plurals
... yes ... add 's', 'es', 'er', 'ers', and 'ered' at the end of everything ...
and also "ed"
... with "re" and "de" at the beginning and you'll have just about everything
looks that way..good with the 8's and 9's
With 4 S's in the grid, it would be odd if there weren't a lot of plurals

Crossy, I am going kayaking for the first time this season, finally. We are leaving in 2 hrs.
Yaa for car!! what is your new job?
Fun!
I am happy for you, Car.
very nice, scrabby. My beloved and I already have one hike in on the Burce and have another planned for this weekend:)
I MUST get up there to hike with you, Crossy. How will I find the time?
What is good for achy, arthritis and bursitis filled knees other than glucosomine, scrabby?
Ibuprofen, naproxen, and/or knee replacements.
I would love to take you hiking on some of our trails, scrabby
lol, I will pass on the knee replacements for now, ty
congratulations, car.!
Hi annie
Figure if I hike more, build some leg muscle, take some weight off I can ease the load on the poor things
Ty!
Hi Scrabbs
Yes, weight loss would help tremendously.

I am out of chocolate and gin :(
Found my next read. I love looking for the highly rated, but obscure classics, especially in the sci-fi genre. For those who enjoy dysopian, futuristic, novels that are full of end of the word potential, this is worth looking into. The novel is called Level 7, and was written in 1959 by Mordecai Roshwald. If you like books such as 1984, The Road, Swan Song, I Am Legand and the like, you may wish to give it a try. For any babbler interested, I have this tough to find novel in epub format as well as many other formats should you wish a copy.
hey crossy, ty but not my cup of tea
when do you graduate, crossy?
Just offering:)
Near end of june:)
very nice of you to offer
Grad pics are on May 28th;)
looking forward to seeing the pictures. you must be very proud of yourself.
I am proud of you!
Peri, it is something that i should Have done 30 years ago:) it has been an amazing experience.
I will post a grad pic on my web site so any babbler who wishes to can have a peek
better late than never is what they say and good for you!
do you know what you will do after graduation?
Right now I am helping at the school and doing some freelance copy editing work on the side. I am content to wait and see what comes along. i am still firing out 30+ resumes a month in addition to the school and edit work.
good luck, crossy. I hope you find something that is a good fit and something you will enjoy. any company would be lucky to have you.
So there is no definite thing in mind as of yet. I finished one career and am in the calm before the next big thing in my life:)
tyvm, peri.
I have found 90 words so far and just greyed one letter lol
how is your book coming along, crossy?
i used this dead period to finish what I should have done years ago, and deem it time well spent:)
as you should cross:)
it is 3/4 dome and those three parts have been in edit mode for 6 months. I think that once I have the three parts done to my liking, the remainder of the book will almost write itself.
Once that is done I will find a few friends who can peer edit with brutal honesty.
I would be willing to read it, crossy
Then i will do a final edit and send it out into the world to live or to die;)
I will keep you in mind peri when the time comes.
ok
cross what about the other book you were working on.. you have two right?
No, just the one so far. the other is not a novel per se, but rather the beginnings of a short story collection.
I have ye 6/24 ending in an r can anyone help with the other ye 6/24 please?
ah how many short stories will you be writing together for it cross?
morning.
pl of affirmative answer with double consonant in the middle
morning jes
hi jess
thanks peri
If you're looking for proofreaders, crossy, I'll volunteer. I am a little wrong in the head, I think, but take serious joy from proofing :)
the great thing about a short story collection is i can just keep adding untill it feel right, however, publishers generally agree to not exceed 350 pages OR 80,000 words, give or take, for a single book if you are new to the game.
350 words for a short story??
YA stuff can be 60K-70K though
no for the whole collection of them
45 left, nice grid
350 pages,mlf
ruts
cross oh I was a bit confused sorry
oops
peri yeah not too bad of a grid though I have 128 left
As far as word count per story, i do not worry too much about that
Some are 2 pages, some are 25 pages:)
cross have you chosen a publishing company?
I like Harper /Collins since they have a North American and a Euro office
ah that is cool
But I am still far away from Officially approaching them.
123 words left:)
Rule #1: never rush a book. Rule #2: Never expect it to make money; if it does, consider it a happy surprise:)
Rule #3: Write for one person, and not the world.
cross a few copies of any book sold can make a good amount of money for yourself
Then share it:)

word cruncher?
hi rolin
ty rolin
hi mlf
Well, as Mr King and many other say "The only way to write is to write" MLF:)
cross yeah I know:)
I'm a big short story fan, Crossy, having gotten the addiction started with The New Yorker, particularly liking Anne Tyler, Edna O'Brien and Alice Monroe
Munro, sorry*
My "word cruncher" is a very old computer that i have , MLF. It cannot connect to the internet, Has no extras, other than a few card games, but it does have "ommwriter" and a dictionary and a thesaurus. The perfect, distraction free writing machine... well except for my old typewriter which has not been out of the closet in 20 years:)

{{crossy}} and tues. is in the grid
Ruby Tuesday!
also Fr word for killer.....hmm
Time for a bit of my new book and a power nap. biab, my friends.
bye, crossy
Fiction...you gotta love fiction...
Whenever you're ready to collaborate, Molly.
Well Ruby, your book will not be fiction. Just a great tale of a saucy woman. : D
I'll have to pretend it's fiction
Oh, let's not. Too much pretending goes on here. People will love your story.
Do you think babblers really bother pretending? It seems like a lot of trouble.....
Except for the occasional nut-case, that is.
Yes, the occasional nut case. People believe things here that make my head spin.
And yes, I think posters here pretend, a lot. It's an attention getting device.
Bonsoir.
stuck on st 7/28 ??
Ends like the last 4 of Pinocchio's Father
had the 8 hour flu yesterday................went from rasping cough...chills.....temp of 101...air hunger. Oh SMom, you need a warm blanket and some homemade chicken soup. I'm glad you're feeling better. Tough broads make it through that stuff. : D
Also, someone should call you and sing the Soft Kitty song. : D
thanks molly. no. 3 daughter came over to help walter take care of me.. she sang soft kitty
she also gave me a glass of water with 2 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp of baking soda............ raised pulse ox to 96 and lowered pulse to 96-(from 126) and in an hour it was almost normal
she tells me that this type of flu has been going around her office for the past few weeks.............. symptoms are about the same sometimes in different order . my conclusion : the plagues are upon is and i will succumb

Reading back; Molly,we are most fortunate to have you around to use your keen perception as a shining lamp of truth to uerringly expose those shaxowy evildoers who dare to attempt to utter falsehoods in the Babble chog. Joso, and i said much the same when we met for lunch:-)
like that one crossy
pe 7, pls
I keep a lovely photo of flosey, joso, and myself on my website in remembrance of that babble get together. Joso and i agreed that we were not the same person, then proceeded to order anice breakfast. Lol
I don't know if I'll ever meet any other Babblers live. Maybe Annie. Her daughter lives in CT

Very nice pen:-)
everyone who went turned out to be exactly how i expected them to be....
none of us were gamblers....but we hit a lot of shows together...
I have seen pics of several babblers. Would love to get out one day and visit my Ruby Tuesday:-)
Better off not being a gambler when in vegas:-)
true, lol....i had never been there, so it was fun....great people watching place....loved the Star Trek Experience there...
Ag...a trekkie:-)

lol...cool!
There i am holloring in victory right in the middle of the theatre lol
heh heh....
Funny thing was that i was not alone hehe. There was so much noise after that climatic moment in the film tht they had to stop the film , rewind it a tad and play it again:-)
hah....great story...
We were packed in like sardines:-)
I could not get in to see the first one:(
