Hello, Sprite :-)
hey zooz :) How have you been?
I am okay thank you. getting ready for the anniversary of my brother's passing.
How are you? did yu have a nice time away?
And how is our dear, Rose getting on? Anymore news on that front?
a year again already... always a sad time, especially the first time. *hugs*
Hi all and hugs and thanks for the email just now sprite
Hugs from me too zooz
I had a lovely vacation. Good company and lovely weather for the most part, and Rob and I very much enjoyed being away together for a while :)
Ah yes thanks yes just seen your email too, Sprite.
Hello, Liz :-)
I forwarded Don's last email to you, zooz. Rose is feeling better but they still don't know why her bloodcount is off.
oh ok, lol. Sorry, you read that already.
I take it your siblings did not have any parties in the house while you were away then..lol
Nor her kids!
Hope you are well, Liz?
welllllll yes they did. But all within limits. The house is still standing, the neighbours are still friendly and everything is clean :D
Alls fine here, thanks.
Her children yes sorry that is what i meant..lol
*giggles* Yeah I was certain zooz meant my kids.
So happy you and Rob had some quality time but I've missed you here.
Well that is good that you let them do that.and even better to find that they respected the place and yourselves to keep the home tidy!
Zooz - I've added some Cornish puzzles on jigidi.
Pol dark scenery and Tintagel.
*hugs Liz* I missed you guys too.
Cool thank you, Liz, I will check them out later! Thank you :-)
sounds good Liz, will check them out
They're not large Sprite but can make them larger if you'd like.
I can make a smaller one once in a while too, Liz, grin. Not a problem!
I know that - I was stymied by the daily limit!
I just haven't got around to making them larger yet.
yeah, if you want to make several sizes, that limit is reached very quickly
Larger! they are nearly 300 pieces!!
Most that I do are around 450.
oh, that is fine then, Liz. Zooz, I normally only go for the 400+ ones.
Except when I use my iPad then I only do puzzles around 120 or less. Too awkward otherwise.
yeah a lot depends on your screen resolution. Mine is huge, so it is easy for me to work big ones. You want to have an overview of puzzle and pieces at all times.
I'll make the Amsterdam ones large first but the clogs wouldn't go larger.
With my laptop screen being about 19" I find the larger puzzles hard as I have to keep making it smaller to fit the edges in.It becomes to small for me to see the puzzles pieces then..lol
Why do some puzzles not go large?
yeah that is what I mean, zooz, that is not pleasant. My screen is 24"
jigidi is programmed to take in account the resolution of the picture and the ratio.
Ah well that does make sense.
the biggest puzzles are high res and a 4:5 ratio.
*giggles* Can you tell I spent time figuring out how to make them big?
I did attempt a 500 piece puzzle (approx) that was of chopped logs. i got all the edges done and a bit more. But after the times was about three hours i could see i was going to be there way too long and i was starting to not enjoy the puzzle so I gave that one up..lol
Well glad you did, Sprite.Saved me doing it for a start :-)
it is good to give up if you are not longer enjoying yourself. I am a sucker for punishment, I think. One of my favorites was the coins one... huge and it took me ages. But FUN!
Some time, Sprite not today but when you have time.Find a link for me so I could take a look :-)
OK - just put up 4 larger puzzles.
One was not there previously - my mistake. Couldn't find the folder, where I'd put the Jigidi pics!
the money one is this one, zooz: http://tinyurl.com/n4e7arv
wow 494 .
We have a really challenging 1000 piece one on our dining room table right now - wolves - but all in shades of blues, purples and pinks.
EEEk! I can see what you mean by a glutton for punishment, Sprite..lol
awesome, Liz, I am gonna work the big ones :)
ohhhh Liz I wanna come over and help!
It is UK money too I see :-)
Sounds like a nice puzzle, Liz.I bet crossy would like that one too.Being the subject of wolves :-)
lol zooz, I know... took me over 6 hours, that one. But not in one sitting. It fascinates me to see how my brain works... and does NOT work... the things you start focusing on when details are not obvious.
http://tinyurl.com/k6raq4h You can see the puzzle here.
omg I love it!
Looks wonderful!
Yes, Zooz - I reckon Crossy would love it. It's so difficult though!
just the kind I love. A little bit mystical, tough and rewarding. And wolves :D
The ar (bum word) should be allowed to be PT as in "I can't be AR____ to do this anymore" :-)
yeah I agree. Guess enable didn't catch up with nowadays lingo yet
I love the picture - so does hubby.
Brick wall hit - 50 left.
*smug* greyed out entire top row
WTG Sprite
*giggles* yay me
Not my sister I see regular but a different one well her husband shouted upto her the other night as he was watching a late film..That he thinks he is having a heart attack.she shouted back down don,t be stupid and take a tablet for heartburn. A little later he had phoned an ambulance and he let them in and collapsed on the floor.they had to revive him.He is now in hospital!
omg zooz... oh she must feel horrible about herself. How is he doing now?
Wow! Thank goodness he phoned the ambulance.
To say my sister is very ashamed of her self is an understatment!
Hope he makes a good recovery.
Yes - bad call!
He is stable and they might have to do something like open an artery up like a stent I am not too sure.
ah good he is stable, that is reassuring at least. Oh your poor sister. Is he mad at her?
He has not spoken since, Sprite so I have been told.
not at all, or not to her?
Not at all as far as I am aware.
Oh he would not be mad at her like that.He is not the type to not speak to her.
I hope he can forgive her. I'd be mad as hell in his place, lol.
That's good cos I'm sure the extra stress that'd cause wouldn't be good for him.
No I think he is not like that to be honest.he is such a gentle person. But who knows after a stroke.i have heard people can change.
I hope she will apologise wholeheartedly to him as soon as he can hear her. That should help.
Not a stroke sorry. She said heart attack.
I will find out more today when I visit my parents soo. Will let you know next time on babbleland :-)
soon*
ok zooz! Will hold both of them in my prayers.
Well like I said, hope he makes a good and speedy recovery.
Yes thank you both for the kind words.
*hugs zooz*
Oh I am ok :-)
I can be rather cold at times like this when it does not affect the very close family.i do not mean to be cold and hard it is just how i am.
Still, hugs never hurt :)
you are not cold at all, zooz. I think it is a good thing to be able to differentiate between real close ones and the more distant relatives.
I love hugs so all will be greatfully taken :-)
hi, all. does anyone have grannyrose's email address?
yes I do, angel
Yes I see it that way too, Sprite. But what pushes me more that way is when it is self inflicted as in heavy smoker lots and lots of booze and fatty takeaway meals. Not a great combo. And told by his doctor on many occasions to change his health style.
BBL - almost dinner time. Hugs and happy to have caught up with you both.
sprite, she asked me to e mail her about my cat. I've been missing her here for a while.
Have a wonderful evening, Liz :-)
things are often more complex than that, in my opinion. Underneath such a life style often hides some trauma or problem. Like low self esteem or high sensitivity and trouble with boundaries.
Angel, she is in the hospital at the moment. Maybe it would be best to wait until she is back home?
Liz, have a grand evening! *hugs* for you both
yes, sprite. I did not know she is ill.
it was rather sudden, Angel. She felt off, sounded like a virus. Doctor ordered bloodwork and when it came back, some markers that indicate inflammation or infection were through the roof. She was admitted to the hospital overnight. She is feeling a little better, but they still don't know what is wrong.
my goodness!
yeah, we are worried too :(
I was not ignoring you, Sprite.Just letting the other convo develop.I agree with what you say. I do nt know what has gone on in his life years ago or even now really. But I have known him for a few decades and has always been the same.I may have formed an ill judged opinion of him.
I wonder how, Don, is handling all of this, Sprite too?
I didn't feel ignored at all, zooz :) Yeah you know, I am overweight, very much so. And I know it has never been a lack of willpower. It is a complicated mechanism that has caused it and for me, losing weight is a process that is taking many years... therapy, learning to set boundaries, speaking up for myself, medication, food allergies to figure out... etc etc etc. So that is why I am not quick to judge.
I don't know, zooz. Just emailed him and gave him an opening to vent, in case he wants to.
Oh good lets him know that there is an outlet if he needs it!
On the not quick to judge part.i have known him for just a tad over thirty years so I feel I was not quick to judge him.
Still might of got it wrong though :-)
yeah, that was what I thought too. He may not want to, and that is perfectly ok. But in case he can use a listening ear, mine is available, grin
lol
I should think he is spending a lot of time at the hospital to think of anything else.
oh, I wasn't saying you were quick to judge, zooz! I think you are a beautiful man with a loving heart. I just meant that my own experiences make me look for underlying problems. But if in 30 years he has never TRIED to change things... that would make me a little judgemental too, lol
I know you wasn't, Sprite. As you said YOU were not quick to judge :-) I just wanted to say I have watched on and off for that amount of time but i still do not know what has happened in his life to want to live so un healthily.
Although it looks like he is paying the price for it now. I do hope he pulls through okay. And asks for help if needed.
sometimes it takes a very rough waking-up call for someone to start changing things around. This might be his.
fireflies. Quite an enjoyable grid!
I hope so, Sprite..not nice for all the other people around him if he does not grab his chance let alone for himself.
Congrats, Sprite!
very true. I hope he will find the courage to change things around. I'll certainly pray for him :) Zooz, it was lovely to catch up with you. Have a great day, and I hope to see you tomorrow.
I still need 81 words!
and to you all, a peaceful night and a blessed day.
this grid clearly has not decided which way it is going...debate is between **** to the orient, or **** to North America...lol
Have a wonderful day, Sprite.Sorry for all the glum talk.
I hit a brick wall about halfway, zooz. Took me a while to find the other letter combinations, lol. Like gn and ts and such.
lol Angel
not at all, zooz. I value your sharing stuff with us. Very much. *hugs*
((Sprite))
fireworks. I hardly came up for air...
Congrats, Angel!
Ha only now did I find the 8
18 left for later need to get going.Happy babbling everyone!

alleyn, to be frank with your opinion, to use ca6
sorry i got wrong one
Thanks Frog - that was one of my missing words :)
I can use a clue for ce6
yw liz, glad i was of some use lol
Thinking how to clue it.
candid - doesn't work!!
a girdle or belt, especially as worn by women of ancient Greece.
Means a belt worn in ancient Greece
Alleyn - the last 2 letters are wrong - what do you go through to enter a room. Then lose a vowel.
Hello everyone
Hi car

Runs from tidal wave of clues
LOL!
So not wrong didn't fly, but if it's right did. I'm flummoxed.
Guess I know know the co 7/8
hee hee :-)
You do, you know know it. : D
LMAO
love your icon, molly
it's soooo Thomas Kincaid don't you think?
ce 6, please?
Metal receptacles that can lick nan :D
ooops
scratch that
beautiful photo, molly
Alas, even though I have switched to warm, fuzzy icons, I'm still getting bitch comments in the chat. You just can't please some people.
assuming that was the ca 6/30
ce 6 sounds like the material that isn't used to insulate houses any longer
sawdust?
cabestos?
you are? For what molls?
My stalker, Serenity Now was back today.
didn't know there was something besides fiberglass - think pink and all that
oh..
look up mesothelioma nan
wasn't that from asbestos?
YAY... now use a c
ty --- never heard of it -- a brand name maybe?
now that I think about it .. they should have named it asworstos
*snort*
Morning!
sounds heavenly sort of.. or astral doesn't it
Is there a brand name girdle called ce6?
Morning Jade
don't know molly - have never owned one and don't intend to start now!
My mom wore one when I was little.. It always looked so uncomfortable
Smart of you Nan
didn't know asbestos was used to insulate houses -- insulation for hot things like pipes or around stoves and those electric fireplaces from the 50's.
I think Serenity Now is an oxymoron
not smart Molly -- just was a skinny minnie up until the time I reached an age when comfort was more important than not showing middle aged spread
come to think of it - asbestos paper was used at one time in the roof
anyway, that was my last word and I have some errands to run this am, so I should get on my horse. Hagd everyone
hence the saying .. and the horse you rode in on :D
Well, anyone who pays for a second log in to bash someone has some serious problems of their own.
Bless it's heart
Dr. God must love you for driving all these extra personalities :D
more dough!!!
Happy to send Dr. God some extra bucks. And bless all the multiple personalities.
I'm sure he could use it.. since the JC crowd is mostly doing free stuff nowadays
Oh, don't count the JC crowd out. I think there are still remnants here.
sure.. but they tend to do the free thing nowadays
cyber I know you wont see this but asbestos is in a lot of earlier building materials. roofs insulations etc. Its not a good thing to have in your home anywhere
halfway
Didn't Nan post that she knew what asbestos was?
...I believe she knew what asbestos was but she didn't know that it was being used to insulate houses ... only thought it was being used for pipes ...
... in that case ... I'm off to the great outdoors to pull weeds ... do they ever not come back? ... oh well ... 'til next time ...
I shouldn't have used that stupid clue to begin with
Not a stupid clue. The back end works.
I was asswaging nan's guilt :D
*waves to Dee*
Always a treat to see Daytime Dee. Hi Dee.
Hello, everyone! Popping in for a few minutes. How is everyone this Monday?
I'm great Mimi, thank you for asking
hee hee *asswaging* I've wanted to work that into everyday conversation since it showed up a coupla grids ago. Hi, everyone!
has dr. god abandoned us? i emailed for a password reminder and do not receive the emails the autoreply promised
luckily, i am still logged in on an alternate browser,
Is it too early to ask for clues?
No it is okay. Some people ask for clues minutes after the new grid has started :-)
Thank you! sa 4,5 & sa 5,12, please? Been eons since I've played!
Sa 4 & 5 The first king of Israel.
Thank you, zoozzoom!
Welcome :-)

That it does, zoozzoom. It sure does.

ty. this was a fun grid.
This grid is almost working itself.
yes, nicer than the last couple
There have been some non-intuitive grids for quite awhile.
non-intuitive, I like that!
I am just really speaking for myself but some grids are not as friendly to my way of seeing the words. Others probably thrive on them.
hello
Hello harp jane. Just musing about the personalities of the various grids.
hi harp. i agree stidgmere, some are really hard for my brain to wrap around
I spent most of my day doing laundry and ironing so my brain was happy to find something else to think about. Or just to think.
:) i had to work today... customers were exceptionally "spec-shul" today. and the darn phones wouldn't stop ringing...hense my no lo e for phones.
must go for now enjoy the grid!
