My daughter has 2, tor! (got 'em right away)
hello everyone
hey there
*trying to think of something Pini's daughter might have... cats dogs kids
will have 2 kids here in the next few days...but not yet! :)
(my comment piggybacked on tor's comment about uv5 and uv6) :)
I knew you were referring to tor's uv call, but have no idea
ah ... gotcha
Most people have just one ..
ah, love that corvosier! Thanks for the help last hour, torg!

{{hugs}} my dearest sprite. loved your pics. xoxox
hello my dear friend *hugs* Great to see you. Am glad things are still okayish at your side. How did today go?
not too bad. have been resting on the bed most of the day.
very good. It will take time for you to come back to full strength after this ordeal.
how was your night, and what shape is today taking?
tonight was fine, and today is busy... cooking day. Must shop soon, and then cook. Already picked a dish. Curry with cauliflower-'rice'.
sounds yummy. not too difficult to put together?
no, pretty easy. And I am tossing a simple salad as a side dish. Not at all in the mood to work hard today, grin.
good, please take it as easy as possible, right?
yes I will. Once the shopping is done, I will be fine. *hug* Thanks for caring.
left and right column greyed out. So symmetrical, lol
yay you sprite
back. Sorry, I just got terra pushed into my hands with the message that he had poop stuck to his behind. And then my girl had to run off to school, lolol
nice job, cleaning diarrhea before breakfast
ain't it good that we mothers can handle anything?
roflollll... poor you. why do you think terra has has diarrhoea?
I bet he snacked on something he shouldn't.
and oh, the drama, grin. He is ever so pathetic when we have to wash him. But sweet as pie once it is done, and he seems happy to be clean again.
*giggle* i can imagine.
he has this weird tendency to poop on top of some sticky bushes... imagine that with diarrhea. Quite the mess.
yuck!!!
amen, sister. Amen.
oh the kids' exam went fine. Caya was finished first of all, lol. Walked out after 50 mins and they all went WHAT??? They checked their answers and it looks like they both at least scored an 8 out of 10. Probably higher.
well done kliddos
yeah. Amazing how much the extra effort in their early years to read english with them has rendered later on. Even Tim, who is SO not an alpha brainiac, is very good at english.
that yu5 is odd
the second one, I mean
yeah, i haven't seen it spelled like that before.
I had to list for it. And then had to monkey like mad, lol
fireflies. un5 the final word.
WTG SPRITE!!!
thanks my darling :) Guess I should go shop now. You have a good rest, ok? And a lovely, long night of sleep.
son and his wife due here any minute. so i'll say good-bye. {{hugs}} and enjoy your day. xoxoxox
bye sweetie! *HUGS*
Good morning everyone:)
And now it is time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!! Feeling down? Have the blues? Ever feel that the world is steamrolling over you in everyone else's quest to look out for #1? Well all you have to do is remember poor Ronald Wayne. In 1976 Ronald Wayne sold his 10% stake in Apple for $800.00 and a used car--now, that same 10% is worth $58,065,210,000.00... Kind of make you feel a bit better about the day eh? :)
Wow that little tidbit is really doing the rounds. First it was on Reddit a couple of days ago, and now it's everywhere.
*Disclaimer* Dues to curcumstances beyond our control, and the fact that there are billions of people with a computer, there will be times when a specific bit of information is repeated more than once on the internet. All 5 billion of us apologize for the inconvenience;)
:)
:P
I wasn't having a dig or anything. Trust me, I'm not a doctor.
besides, if you are selling your own blood on a monthly basis just to be able to have ketchup[ soup and kool-aid, that story kinds of brightens up the day:) Most likely why it is so popular:)
it is all good, I just think of Ronald, and I am all set for the day:)
I suppose so yeah :) Whatever helps.
beat weeping and gnashing of teeth any day
Speaking of teeth, I should see what this tiny grid is up to:)
Of course it could be worse. You could walk around every day with a name like Tokyo Sexwale. Or Dick Bong. Or Harry Baals. (all real people)
Wife new a girl named Zippety-doo-dah
She liked to be called "Zip"
mm:( small grids are always like this-- nasty, and babblet-filled horrors:(
tadone!! this little grid was quite challenging.
and good morning, everyone!
Morning all.
hi sukee
Crossy is right, nasty grid.
Yay, I notice Rose was back!
Does the uv5 use both 'u's?
Howdy, LBD, Sukee:)
yes, it's nice to see that she's getting back to functional.
Yes, our Rosie is back:)
yes, Marc
hi crossy
got them both thanks
All is well now.
ty for the uv words;)
Think the U words will have to wait for later.
mmm.. best way to work this grid is to just randomly type in 4 letter nonsensical words until you get a hit:) I have found 5 "words' that way so far:)
What are the stats for the lone 'm' in the bottom right corner?
mi 4/5
MI 4/5
First name of Aston Kutcher's baby mama :)
thanks
sort of...
crossy shudders at the term "Baby mama" about as bad as the word "aksed" as in "Yo, baby mama, I aksed you not to mess up my kitchen"
I know, but I can't remember if they are married or not :)
Sounds like they are saying "axed"
Okay, gotta get ready to go out. Talk soon.
Watching orange is the new black with the mrs and I almost need a translator for the bit of stuff that is not a curse word> additionally, I have never seen so much "diving" in my life without the benefit of a swimming pool:)
My pick after this--think I will pick Mad Men:)
Now that the final episode is airing, the Mrs and I can binge watch it from start to finish over the summer:)
I have uv6, what are the stats of the other 6's, please?
ca6/24 ... ca6/30
Could I get a clue for them, please?
ha6 makes the 4 6's
... ca 5/18 is an alternate spelling of the old leader of Islam who was usually resident in Baghdad ... the six is plural
ca6/30 plural of abbrev for US state where Disneyland is.
ca4/6 ca6/24 ca 5/14 ...
... oh well ... 90% ... but gotta run ... ... the bus, like time and tide, waits for no man
I got the ca6/30 but need another clue for the ca6/24, please?
ca4/6 + M**sissippi
I don't see the first ca4/6. hi all
first one is "not nervous"
second one i have is money
oh, I have that one
third one covers the head
I have them all. ty
yw :-)
I am missing that ca6/24
clued it at 6:43
found it ty
lololol an early morning "peri"
off to munch on granola -- BBL
stuck with 21 left
ha6, please?
don't have it Marc, but looking
Marc, ha6. do you have ha5/16?
A perfect single "peri" is a beautiful thing. There was barely a ripple in the pool when she nailed that one perfectly for the judges;)
:-)
OK I have the un5/14 what are the stats for the other u? I have the uv5 and uv6?
uv5/20 and pl uv6/33
I have those and a un5 so I need the last u, please?
don't have it
I had a grading system for "Peris" once. Anything that rolls over into the next minute after posting does not qualify as a peru, but everything within that time qualifies. They are graded in 15 second increments, with the most valuable "peri's" falling into the 2-15 second range;))
LOL crossy
I am not being naughty. the peris, like my tidbits, add depth, fun, and character to the babble chog:)
Hahaha.
Howdy, scrabby:)
Like the story clues. sadly min is very busy these days:(
good morning dear friends. Primo's graduation from college is today - gulp.
I was lurking while on the phone with a friend.
Yaa for Primo!!!
Yippee for Primo! It seems like he just started college.
:)
I am a symphony of emotions
Any job lined up yet?
LOOOONG story there, scrabbler. short answer: he had one, and then the offer was rescinded a day later. They told him to come back in September.
((Trif))--pride, love, ...sadness that time flew by so quickly...new chapter in life for both of you...
the mom in me is pissed at the company for doing that, but also worried - he wants to work there SO much that he will wait until September, and then what if they dont' offer him something then? he will have missed out on three months worth of chances....
but it's his life now, isn't it?
My Secondo nephew just graduated last Saturday and is moving to Las Vegas in a few weeks. Computer science major. He will be an Android Developer at Zappo's and starting salary is MORE than what I now make!
he gets to enjoy the summer
Aw, Trif, not a nice way for Primo to be treated.
wow, Scrabbs
wow scrabbler! not loving the moving far away part, but man - great start!!!
better "Come back in September" that the old "We will keep your resume on file for 6 months, should an opening that suits your qualifications becomes available" letter
I will miss my Jason so much.
tell him to stay away from those show girls! (or show boys....I don't judge)
Oldest nephew cannot get decent job after college graduation 4 years ago. Making $12/hr.
what did he study?
Jason and his longtime girlfriend are moving together. He is not interested in the casinos.
at least he is working, Scrabs which is more than I can say for some people I know
My bothers eng degree from Mcmaster ended up not being worth the paper it was printed on. 60K later he found it best to stay home and raise the kids while the mrs made the money with her nursing degree;/
Peter majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology---no law enforcement jobs here. Also, he created 2 unplanned pregnancies with former girlfriend. Grrr.
Child care (day care or babysitter) is VERY expensive.
was 12K for them. he crunched the numbers and stayed home with the kids
her nusrsing degree, on the other hand was solid gold. the U.S hospital admins were waiting at the step of Mcmaster U like vultures.
ignore typos please
A Texas hospital set them up with a car, an apartment and paid the moving expenses. This was in the early 90's when the brain drain was at its worst
biab
Wow, Crossy, wonderful for them.
I wish the same was true of industrial designers....
I have to go. Mammogram at 9:15. There might be two explosions south of Buffalo. *BOOM*BOOM*
ask about their package pricing - 8x10s and wallets!
Actual size would be quite large. Scrabbler gets the jumbo plates!
pro pic!
I always hope for no power failure during the big squeeze.
Bye kids. Congrats to Primo, Trif!
from what I gathered from his last night activities, primo will be "looking and feeling his best" today - hahahaha
I have greyed the right hand column - FEAR ME
Hey, it's a holiday weekend. Perhaps you should LOUDLY play some John Phillips Sousa. : D
I can't wait to see all the graduation gowns - Mass Art lets them do whatever they want to them. This is gonna be GOOD
count for the lower s in the first column please? tricky little bugger
don't have it Trif. Been looking for a while
ty
must be sc 5/16
got it - weird homophone for where teachers work
It's actually a Yiddish word for where Jews pray
There's also synagogue which comes from Greek

the lead teacher in my class room is doing a bbq life skills activity for our kids this week. she wondered what we should make for a dessert for the kids, and automatically I blurted out "For kids? At a bbq? Hoodsie cups, what else?"
seems to me one should be able to tack an S on the end of that word.
bbq life skills. Now I've heard everything
heh
I work in a life skills classroom bichon - teaching these kids how to cook is a huge part of the curriculum
how to cook ANYTHING
I take my advisees out to frozen yogurt for "team building"
at the beginning of the year we had one kid who couldn't use a broom.
We called that Home Economics
classtime! bye!
give em hell, harry!
hello...
hi pen
trif, is that a special education classroom that you work in?
hello penquis
yes
bye HH, hello pen
it is for kids who can't participate in the majority of the regular curriculum, don't take the state tests, will be on disability for their lives, etc.
i worked many years in schools as a school psychologist...spent a lot of time working with life skills students...
the hope is that with basic life skills, like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, simple, practical math skills, at least some of them could hope to live independently, at some point.
Trif, do you work in a private school?
I wish you would come work at mine, penquis!!! I like our school psychologist, kinda, but she is lacking in the warmth department
no, annie, a public school
ah....that's too bad...
it seems an unusual vocational choice for her personality...she would be a great private therapist, though. and god knows she would make more money that way....
what state are you in?
massachusetts
maine here....
I'm going to maine (one of my FAVORITE states) for a wedding in September!
cool....whereabouts?
I spent almost all of my childhood summers in Alfred, ME at a wonderful girls' camp....ahhhhhh the memories
I don't actually know - it's in a state park, and I think it's near Portland?
ah....Wolf's Neck?
Anybody know what those U's on the left are?
oh nevermind I found them
I don't have the actual invitation yet, just a save the date :)
i have been to Alfred but only in passing.....there are lots of kid camps in Western and Southern Maine...
hello all
hi TO...
gm, Owl
good morning TO
It was heaven on earth penquis, and I loved it dearly. One of my daughters went there as well. the other one thinks a 2-star hotel is "camping"
hah!....my brother lives on Thompson Lake in Oxford....it's not far from Sebago Lake...
never went to overnight camp.
me either...
u's upended
had a week or two of girl scout day camp, and one night we would stay there.
I went to summer sleep away camp and I loved it
the dance festival at strawberry park is coming up in two weeks. that is a beautiful camp, like summer camp for grownups
Meeeee tooooo annie
That's where I learned all my silly songs
and we slept in tents
We sang and sang and did all sorts of cool activities, crafts, sports, you name it. I learned to swim real strokes there, canoe, hike, and everything a girl needed to know about tampons :)
yes, all those activities too...they had to pull out of the lake..loved swimming to the raft..was a super Jacks player
i need to get going but i am just a mess today. everything is wrong with me! :/
*me
Oh dear Owl
oh 72 dear one.....you are so loved!!!

I didn't see the actual words, but saw that the dictionary was expanded
oh no - twerk???? theres goes society

i think dictionaries now include words like that to get publicity for new editions, hoping they will sell more...

that's too bad...i can usually get to see the PA on the same day i call....

did you miss my lamentations a couple years ago about the crazy he brought home in girlfriend form?
he's much better now though.
oh.. no.. I didn't know of Junior..
yours? or a previous engagement ?
not mine... i have a long standing goal of avoiding both pregnancy and jail.
in that order ?
eh, yes, actually. You get over jail faster, unless you go for a spectacular reason.
but they're both very high on my do-not-do list.
kids weren't on my short list either
but I have to say .. I'm really enjoying a relationship with my nephews... I might have been decent father material .. but I didn't think so..
weren't?
oh, i adore my niece and nephew, and my cousins' kids, but am very glad they are not mine.
I figured if I tied it in a knot I'd be safe :D
yah, i couldn't ever find anybody to knot mine. Freaking catholic-controlled health care. Happily, Bruce got his done

it worked for me in my teenage years.

Amazingly, incredibly & fantastically, it's looking increasingly likely that Ireland will become the first country in the world to allow same sex marriages as a rsult of a public referendum. If this was Facebook, I'd click the 'Feeling Proud' button.
good for Ireland.. and hopefully the entire USA will follow
For a country which was priest-ridden -literally - until very recently, this is a huge step forward. 😊
