Speaking of news. I am hoping and praying that next year brings a Trump vs Sanders presidential race.
There was a time that I wouldn't have believed that the American public would back a Presidential candidate like Trump. But after they elected that clown who is in The White House now...not once...but twice...I'll believe anything.
Yeah we have had 2 consecutive 2 term clown presidents. Depending on your point of view.
I wish The Supreme Court would amend The Constitution to one term per president.
And maybe one term per family, considering the Bush regime.
That would be even worse. Term limits increase the rate of politicians going through the DC revolving door. Get elected make connections with the lobbys and cash in.

it has been a year and a half now. I have been doing a lot of cuckoo clocks lately. I hope to learn watch repair too.
I love clocks. The more intricate the better. It is my dream to someday have a Grandfather clock.
Most of the people doing this work around here are in their 80s. I will be 60 this year. It is fun. I have always liked working with my hands. Being a programmer you don't get to actually touch what you make.

There was a short run series on network TV called "Zero Hour" that featured a clock repair person in the story. It was fascinating to see the inner workings of the clocks in the story.
As for me, I'm a lot older than 6. But I try to keep my inner six-year-old alive and listened to.
What is pretty cool when you think about it, the power that allows a clock to run is not driving the clock.
the clockwork is actually releasing the power of the spring or the weight with every swing of the pendulum.
So the gears are not there to transmit power but to inhibit it.
It's amazing how clocks work. It must be a lot of fun to build them.
