in 4 + fog
My day was fine - planting flowers and stuff and then gym.
Thanks, Diz
How was your night?
yesterday's wasn't easy either
Yesterday's was really nasty for me.
nice, Liz! It is gonna look so great with the flowers
I slept well :) No bad dreams either.
That's good.
fog ....
my brain is a fog...
As long as the cockatoos don't destroy them. They already bit the heads off one planter full of marigolds :(
{{hugs}} and good morning sprite. {{hugs}} lizgirl. {{hugs}} mrp, flosey
ugh... bad birds
hi rose :))
Hugs Rose.
*hugs rose* Good evening dear friend... how was your day?
Yes, bad birds but we do get such a lot of pleasure from them - especially the 3 that we recognise.
ah got it thanks
nice and quiet thanx sprite. hmmm, you had a good night, huh? i wonder.....
I must admit I'd sacrifice my flowers, just to see those funny birds every day in my garden, lol
I did, rose... what did you wonder?
We'll see what happens!
well, i had this amazing dream. my friend from the netherlands actually phoned me. do you know anything about it? *grin*
BBL - time for something to eat - just back from the gym. Hugs - hope you'll still be here but you probably won't. So enjoy your evenings / days.

I must say, I understand what Liz just said. Not an easy grid to get into
yes. and that gerund end gets used but it is hard to see the word.
yeah, I have one so far, with 66 words in!
'ier' and 'ism' endings too
phantom: spiritism
there are 15, but it isn't always at the end lollll
roflol rose
rose: ironite - rocks that contain iron
like it... put it in. *grin*
ok! :)
there! Growing and growing.
dare i say it?? of course i do. irontits, female footballer
roflolllll
added
*giggling* well you would have to have them. can you imagine catching a hard leather ball to your chest without them. *cringing at the thought*
ouch ouch ouch
hmmm, you have three??? where do you keep them??
in a jar in the fridge
can't risk them starting to rust
not in a jar by the door? strange woman!!!
oh that's right. you're not eleanor rigby are you?
all the lonely people...
that has to be one of the saddest songs i have ever heard.
yeah, very true
at the volunteer's job I am gonna do they say it is the majority of the callers... lonely people
you are a braver person than i am sprite. i'm afraid i couldn't do it. i would be blubbering into the phone all the time.
aw sweetie *hugs* I doubt it... I think you'd be a rock as long as you were on the phone. Afterwards though... hmmm... yeah.
brb. need a drink
35 to go and must get to bed, falling asleep here!
goodnight all and thanks for clues
night flosey, I hope you will sleep well!

wb rose :)
how are you doing with the grid, dearest?
ok, I have to go, must take Terra to the vet. He is shaking his head the whole time... looks like ear ache.
not done yet, getting there though. But it must wait till later. *hugs*
okay, sweetie. ttfn. hope to see you tomorrow. xoxox
Back - but looks like you've gone :(
i'm here
Hi Ro - have you spoken to Rich?
lol...yeah...I was just about to ask you the same... what a bummer eh?
Real bummer. Messaged Deb too - she's really low.
yeah... rich just texted...about some stuff of my mum's
Didn't know that. Just about Debs mums.
Perhaps he's going thru stuff more now.
yup...I gave her a pair of her pearl earrings when we were sharing out stuff
:(
It's such a personal violation.
Nothing can replace sentimental value.
and that's the word I used...violation... when we were broken into... and they took my engagement ring... ok..i wasn't wearing it...but I had had that ring on my person for 28/9 years..... its was part of me...
:( I felt that way about my mums candlesticks - stolen from my dad and step mum.
i know its bolting after the horse.... but once it all calms down there... I'm going to suggest getting a little safe...
I think Pete said they should talk to Steve.
yeah locksmiths sell them....
Like you said, better late....
but naturally when rich realised what had happened he went straight to the music room...
Great relief for him! Small comfort but at least that's good.
The story about rewrpping the plates is odd. Hopefully not casing the joint for future activity!
i didn't get that story
You can imagine the plates I mean?
They were unwrapped then re wrapped.
Very carefully, I believe.
ooooh... the ones part of the set??... i thought he meant the miniatures.... geez.... carefully eh?... well at least they were considerate...but yes.... he does need to speak to steve....quickly...that would be a worry...
Yes, I think those.
Just checking with Peter.
that would have really upset me... isn't it silly... they are just things....but as you said its the sentiment they represent
Yes, those.
You can't replace sentiment- it's a part of us.
*shudder*... when pete and i were first married... we were broken into when we lived in Canterbury... we were so broke the best they could do was steal some cigarettes...lol... and the guy who did it was having a very bad day.... and he ended up getting caught after trying to escape through a window he thought was open......but wasn't...lol
Lol but just the thought of someone going thru your things ...
oh absolutely...when we got home my knicker drawer was open..... that was just....not nice
Yuck!
Anyway - are you enjoying the summer hols?
i am.... i spent the first couple of weeks doing what teachers do....catching up on cleaning and maintenance.. and now i'm potting..... we have a friemd of den's staying last and tonight...then we have a high friend staying here for three weeks....i will taking her to York next week...and the Cotswolds the week after
*high school*
Lovely :) And back to PT work in Sept?
OH YES!.... i tell ya what... i did not realise how difficult it was going to be going back full time... to that job in particular... SO streeful
I can imagine. Really good of you to do it but I guess we all help out if needed.
You'll totally appreciate it when you go back.
i so will... and the way i look at it... its paid for my share of the bathroom renovations... tho i did have to attend a core group meeting last week and write a report..
In the hols? Outrageous!
well... it was my choice really... this family is heading for a crisis point...and ive been working with them for three years... i could be called to court... i felt i needed to be there
Of course. I wasn't serious. It had to be pretty important.
yeah.. rich has just sent an email if pete wants to pick it up..
Just told him. Thanks.
the stuff about timing is a bit scary
Just going to read over his shoulder. Back in a mo.
Very scary for Rich.
and his mother.... you don't wanna be part of that...
Poor Deb
Poor Deb
yeah... this is not what she needs
For all
Just sends shivers thru me.
well...im getting no where with this grid for now... i best be productive else where.... and then i'm having lunch with a friend... and being taken out for dinner tonight.... i reckon that's a result!
Enjoy your day.
*foop*
Hello babblers :-)
Hi Zooz. How are you?
Hello, liz, I am well thanks.Just listening to the thunderstorm we have here!
How about yourself?
I'm fine, thanks. Getting ready for a cold night - down to 6 C. Mind you, it was 22 C today, so not complaining.
Brr hope you will be well wrapped up tonight then, Liz!
Sure will :)
Doesn't seem like your having much of a summer this year.
You should know this IS our usual summer..lol
* you're - hate misspelling that!
Lol, I guess I do.
I knew what you meant, Liz :-)
I know but as an ex English teacher, I hate it!
Ah yes in that case you should of known better. Detention for you young lady!
It's one of those words, along with there, their and they're!
Yessir!
Teehee
Of course, autocorrect doesn't help.
I use firefox and auto correct does not seem to work for some reason.
Using my iPad right now.
I have used my parents galaxy tab a few times when I am there. But could not see the words too well on it to use.
Time for dinner now - have a good day.
You too, Liz.Nice to see you.Have a wonderful night!
Down to 67 more to find but slowed right down.
any clues for the 9 or 10 please
IN 9& 10 someone who stay overnight in hospital?
Some one who just pops into hospital for help then leaves is an out_______
Did that help at all, Jenny?
Good morning.
Hello, Sukee :-)
Hi zoo.
How are you keeping, Sukee?
:) Not bad. Got new TV, cats are fed and napping
Oh yes how is it.Did he set it all up for you?
Yes, it was quite easy. And it was a girl :) It took about 20 minutes for everything.
It would be perfect if I had HD channels but still it is a big improvement.
Excellent so no more internet bandwith usage then!
I also found apps that let me control some things from my iPad. I can search YouTube on it and bring the videos up on my TV.
Bandwidth*
Well, I will be watching Netflix and You Tube. I am going to change my plan to unlimited since it's only about $10 more than what I pay now.
I can't believe how much bandwidth watching baseball team used, 4 times what my normally daily use is.
I think going unlimited is the best way.I have that so no need to worry about how much usage i am using.
Well if it is HD then it will use a lot more.
The plan I have now is not being offered anymore :)
But, I will have to exchange my modem before I can upgrade :)
That is no big deal as they send you the router code with the new one anyway.
Are your cats behaving themselves?
More or less, both jump on the counters now :) But jump down when I come near.
Tried putting lemon juice on the counters, no effect :) Tried pepper, no effect :) I will pick up some double sided tape to try that.
Little buggers. Yes that could be a good idea.Never thought of that!
Damon discovered the top of the refrigerator a couple of days ago.
Well you could just put items on the edge of the refrigerator so they have no edge to jump up onto. That might work for a while.
I have done that around the TV so they don't jump up there.
I think as they get older they might settle down and be less inquisitive.
I'm sure they will.
how is the gym going?
Good, going 3 times a week, most weeks, haven't been since Monday this week.
How are things going with you?
It is good to keep fit..something I should do more of..lol
I am doing okay thanks, Sukee. Staying in today as we have had lots of thunder & lightening and lots of rain today.
Still raining as I type.
We had that a couple of days ago, today it's sunny and no clouds in the sky. Going up to 26C but they are saying rain is coming back.
We have not had a good summer this year that is for sure. But still I am sure the plants are have a wonderful time!
I would go out there and enjoy it while you can then, Sukee..lol
If we had 26c we would call it a heat wave haha!
Will you let your cats into your garden or would that not be a good idea?
Sorry..you have come here to enjoy babble not to be interrogated by me.i will leave you in peace :-)
zoom, you are not interogating anyone! especially cat talk :)
Hello, Mrp :-)
I have been bombarding sukee with ideas on how to get the cats to stop jumping up on the food counter. I still suggest orange and black pepper oil... :))
but her cats seem to be made of something stronger than feline! LOL
Hi Mr.
Sorry had to clean the cat box
hi sukee :)
I live on the 9th floor, my cats are indoor only.
Cats are a lot clever than people realise..lol
same with my puss, but he is allowed out for half hour on the large balcony at sunset
They keep trying to get out when anyone comes to the door.
Oh yes Sorry, Sukee I had forgotten that.
and he is monitored at that time. Idiot got bit by a redback spider last time he was out without supervision
Oh goodie, got a note the plumber is coming in today to fix a pipe. Will have to hide the cats. And that means I have to get dressed :)
do you have long hallways sukee?
Nasty.did he need vet care for it?
Yes.
are there cameras out in the hallways?
yes zoom... would have killed the poor bastard
Not that I know of, but I would worry they would jump on the elevator. Although, Damon did get out one and ran in when he heard the elevator.
We have false black widow spiders here now. They can give a nasty bite so i am told.
I cured Dmitri of his curiousity by letting him go out the door, and then chased him all the way down the hallway and back... he flipped out!! LOL
He is now trained to see the open door and go back to his pedestal
I got so used to having an older cat, they tire me out sometimes :)
yes, kittens can be a handful!
You love it, Sukee :-)
And there they go fighting again.
my oldest cat is 19... she is such a darling but gone back to kitten behaviour
Better than being bored.
I took out a wicker box I had in my kitchen and they take turns sleeping in it. They can't chew it, although they try.
her claws don't retract anymore, so she gets stuck on everything she steps on!!
that is great sukee! get a couple more for them... is a good sleeping spot :)
Yes, Boo used to get his claws caught on things and I'd have to rescue him.
I love all this cat talk. I once cat-sat a cat that used to wait on the lintels above doorways and pounce when you came through. Unfortunately, he lived on the 7th floor and committed suicide or maybe was trying to catch a pigeon and misjudged
Now they are both in it and fighting :)
Aww, poor kitty.
oh ruby! poor puss!
Oh how sad, Ruby!
Was it bad of me to sort of giggle when you said that story though.
sounds like a terrible accident
These i words are giving me grief today.
Dont be a child, Sukee.
That is why I don't want to let my cats out on the balcony, they are so curious and jump up all the time.
that was a hint by the way :-)
TY, got it :)
:-)
We had a dog on the island jump of the cliff chasing gosh knows what and well you know what happened there.Sad but sometimes domestic animals forget their surroundings and that's what happens.
whoohoo just found a war aircraft in the grid!
what does it start with?
Since my neighbour has moved and took her two cats with her.i have not had so many cats coming in and pooing on my garden :-)
SP8
I want the Tuscany Hidden Cat Litter Box
Ah, I see it, ty :)
looks so much nicer than a standard box
I do have to buy a cat fountain, they keep knocking over the water dish.
Is it automatic? :)
Just googled it, Mrp, looks like a plant pot.Nice!
don't think so sukee, but would pay good money for that!
it is zoom! I want one!
I think many people would pay a good price for an automatic one..lol
Cute, they would eat the plant.
well I know I would!
Could put catnip in it.The cats would be in heaven!
My two are not sure about catnip, they don't know what to do with it :)
I am stunned at Dmi... he will not eat anything but cat food... not a nibble
I think it is catnip that cats go mad for?
Good morning, everybody:)
One ate a bit, the other completely ignored it.
Hi crossy.
my cat goes mad for cardboard boxes and glasses of water (knocks them over)
Hello, Crossy :-)
hi crossy!! ((hugs))
I have banned all cardboard boxes from my apartment. My last one chewed it a lot, may have contributed to his intestinal problems.
oh for sure sukee
I have to go get dressed and make breakfast, stomach is growling.
see ya sukee :)
Hey crossy, got the new TV. It's a Sharp with Roku.
Enjoy breakfast, Sukee :-)
very nice, Sukee:)
I'll try, talk to you all later.
I now have to upgrade my Internet to unlimited :)
My dad is going deaf so got a sounbar for his TV.He can hear it again now!
Soundbar*
Oh now I want one zoom :)
oh crap, forgot to ring dad :(
Well it does seem to work well for him, Mrp. But really all he needs to do is have his ears syringed but he is stubborn and will not go again.
It is not too late to do so is it, MrP?
it is almost 9.30pm...
Yes it is a bit late then.
I will try him at lunchtime tomorrow :)
Still need 46 words.I am finding this grid a hard one today.
Better write it down so you do not forget again, Mrp :-)
it is in my phone set as an alarm
too much on my mind with the kids and school
My sister's children are moaning that they only have three weeks left of the summer holidays and then back at school..lol
how long do the holidays go for?
I think it is almost seven weeks.
ah well yes, would get boring
Please they don't know what boring means.I used to go round with a bike tyre and roll it around pretending I was a racing driver..lol
ah, before ipads :)
Exactly.
Plus they go to a lot of places like legoworld, zoos, carshows, lizard lick etc they do a lot during the summer holidays.Yet they still complain they are bored!
We would roller skate (I was useless), play hopscotch, play with a skipping rope, or hula hoop, ride our bikes, play hide and seek and 'What's the time Mr Wolf'? and there were never enough hours in the day. No TV till I was 15, just a radio, which was my dad's, and a record player. My sister and I were never bored.
what's the time mr wolf.wow I had forgotten that one!
And The Farmer's in his Den!
did you guys play 'who's got the ball?'
I used to jump off of a bike shed onto an old matress and thought that was the best thing ever!
Don't know that one, MrP
Queenie, Queenie.. who's got the ball!?
Not heard of it unless it is called a different name here?
Is it a girls game or for both?
It is a group game for all
Kids don't play group games any more, do they? They're all isolated with their hand-held devices. Sad.
http://tinyurl.com/pwgbr3v
I am sure that is it, Mrp
Mr partner's granddaughter is only 4 and already has her own pad and other techy stuff.
Not just children to be honest, Hydra. Even my mother has her face buried in facebook on her phone theses days. It is just my dad and I who sit and talk most of the time I am there.
oooh hydra... that is young
and here we are on our computers playing and chatting! LOL
I personally think that is way too young. But am not surprised that at that age they have these things either.
as far as I'm concerned, I need to be online and keep up with the brats!
Yes, hahaha! We're just as bad. But at least we learned how to socialise when young.
I must change my photo. Poor Flad passed away a few weeks ago. I miss him like mad. He was 18.
oh hydra :( sorry darling
I agree to a certain extent I meant when you are with other people.Like when I see my parents. My mother sister her partner and my sisters children are all on their devices except my father and I..lol
Jessie is coming on 19 years old... she is looking rough too, but I reckon she will go a few more years
Sorry to hear that, ((Hydra))
I have bought a bench and had a memorial plaque made. Anyway, let's stick to the chat about kids and games!
zoom, I love sitting down with a newspaper puzzle and working on it with other people... so much more fun!
It is ookay to talk about her if you wish, Hydra :-)
I just like to sit and talk when other people are in the room family members I mean..I have a problem with speaking to people I do not know..lol
that is so nice and what a lovely memorial
Talk about him sorry.
They ahve banned a game in schools here now called britsh bulldog.
Have* My typing is getting worse.
Must admit though it was a bit of a rough game to play and you could easily be hurt.
Oh I so need to go shower and get into bed... big day tomorrow my dears
hello babblers
Have a great nights sleep, Mrp :-)
Hello, Annie :-)
hi zooz:)
hi and bye annie see ya later all :)
good night's sleep, mrp
How are you keeping these days, Annie?
zooz. very well, thank you. going to CT this Saturday to visit daughter and family. Hope you are well.
I hope you have a wonderful trip and a great stay at your daughters :-)
I am well thanks for asking.Staying in today as it is not very nice weather here today.
yes, I will. Nice spending time with them. We might even go to Mohegan Sun ( a casino) an hour away. We will see. I'd rather sit by the pool.
Forgive me for my ignorance but is CT far from where you live?
The weather here is glorious. Blue skies, slight breeze
A casino heh never been to won.Would like to have a quick dabble at a game of poker but not for serious money though..lol
No, It is an hour and a half drive. I am still able to drive for which I am gratefu.
Sounds nice, Annie.Send some this way please. We could do with some sunshine.
One not won..lol
Left off the L. Just had Fedex pick up some sun to send your way. Casinos are fun if you dont mind losing money. I do not belong to that club.
there is a gerund ending at the left top
Excellent like I said I am in all day so will wait in anticipation! wonder what time they will get here *looks at watch*
can you give me a clue for the ap5, please
ap + gerund :-)
LOL. and I just mentioned the gerund. Thanks, zooz
I have about 8 or 9 gerund words so far.
I have 6/
Still missing one ten as well.
I just started so I am not there yet.
I still need 38 words. It started off really well but this grid has some sharp teeth near the end.
I need 93 so I have a bit to go.
I need to get a fresh cup of tea so will leave you in peace for a while, Annie.Really nice to see you though. And have a wonderful time at your daughters if I do not see you here later :-)
enjoy tea. You are always a pleasure to "talk" to. I am leaving Sat. so will be here for a while.
I just opened my front door and, lo and behold, there was a package right in front. My friend that lives in Florida sent me a book I was looking to buy. How nice.
what a nice surprise! :-)
Yes, it is.
What an odd marking around Mara's eye. Looks like a patch.
lots of the English setters I transport have a cute "patch" :-)
taking a break for a big bowl of peaches! back in a bit :-)

Good morning, all!
Hello, Hurshy & Judi :-)
sooooo sore
Uh oh. What have you been doing, Hurshy?
What have you done..oh is this from the move?
unpacking
That is the problem with moving..You have to unpack everytthing all over again :-(
Ah. Always a workout.
I nice hot bath later to help you unwind is what you will need.
A not I
yeah i should do that
Hope you will be happy in your new home, Hurshy :-)
I bet your cat is exploring all over the house now..lol
Moving is a slog. I've declared I'd never do it again. I'd rather sell everything I own rather than take it with me.
Yes there comes a time when you say to yourself no more moves.
yeah unfortunately this is not that time for me
I thinnk I will probably move once more.
i KNOW i will have to move again, sigh
ugh not nice, Hursh, Maybe don't unpack everything then.
That is daunting. When we were renting, seemed like every year we were moving on Memorial Day weekend.
re8/50 - your dough is doing this in the stage before it goes into the oven when making bread
Change the third letter and you have another word too :-)
hello
thanks zooz
Hello, Mlf :-)
ty zooz
Welcome.
can someone clue either 10 please?
listening to the crazy beverages people order at starbucks is highly entertaining
in10 staying in a hospital.
hurshy my husband always says they give x amount of items in a coffee and then it makes you wonder if it is still considered a coffee or not lol
LOL yes I can imagine with all sorts of weird things added to a coffee!
zooz isn't that the in 9?
well since i don't drink coffee, i just get a hot chocolate. which is nice and simple. not like these double caramel half-lite etc etc
Try a plural, Mlf.
What no marshmellows in the hot chocolate..lol
hurshy I have had Starbuck's hot chocolate too very good
don't think they have that, but they do put whipped cream
oh geez how stupid am I thank you again zooz lol
Easily done, Mlf.
i also drink green tea frappucino from Starbuck's
I will try to clue the MO 10 for you.
if you can ty zooz
there are three places to start IN words so i am having a smidge of trouble thinking up this hospital one
Famous painter + 3rd vowel + word for a beautiful sound from your voice box.
Green tea frappucino... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT???
hursh pa 7 goes with it
Some people, Hurshy are out_________at a hospital.
its a mix of some kind tea with cream milk etc i think
ah thanks
Sounds disgusting, Judi!
Sounds like genetically modified mutant green gorp.
zooz,w ouldn't it be easier to just say, "making into a commodity that can be bought with cash" or something?
LOL
Review: Starbucks - Green Tea Frappuccino. Most people know it at Starbucks as the Green Tea Frappuccino, but the full name is the Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Creme. It features a blend of sweetened matcha green tea, milk, and ice. Matcha has a distinctive, deep taste that sets it apart from other green teas.May 16, 2012
Blech.
I like a challenge, Hurshy :-)
i have never been to starbucks until this week. they are making me like them so much, the baristas i mean.
at first I didn't like it but it grew on me:)

Yes, Hurshy, My brother passed away just 53 years old. just over a year ago now.

Sorry to hear that, T Owl.
i just don't find it as hard to believe with like, my grandmother. but i'm glad people understand.
ty, zooz. when cousins begin to die... it is sobering. two this year
Another one of my highschool classmates passed away a few weeks ago. Always a gut check.
ack! 70 left,must hustle
hurshy their was a family that used to live next door to us the husband died of something related to his heart I think his wife died a few years later she had a rare cancer and decided not to do anything to help cure it. I think about them everyday they were in their 70s they had moved away and I used to get a birthday card from her every year though ont since childhood started later then that husband was ex navy
I said to myself I must get my brother a birthday card.then stopped myself and then was like shit.how could I forget.
judi I am more like I should have called them
Done that too, Zooz.

Hi and good morning, all :)
kind of medium, cos.. hi there Liz
I found it hard to get into this grid - but only 14 left now.
Trying to think about Molly's clue for ge 7
hi all, 55 left here
wtg, Liz.. 13 here
hah monkeyed the ga8!

WTG Cos, though I think you meant gi 8 ;)

lol yes gi8 :P
Indeed, Liz
Though hanging my head - don't get the ge 7 clue :(
ge 7 is a guy who cleans up genes
The ja7...the guy who mops up and cleans in the building...start it with a ge
Ah right - thanks.
Whew. I thought maybe they were called cleany men in England.
<---got the same clue in first :D
Would definitely not have thought of that - makes sense to me with pro in front of it.
scrub-bubs molly ..
That is because you are the Babble Beloved, Ru. : P : P
No, called caretakers! But I know ja 7 from TV
But I like cleany men! Might start using that.
cleany men would squeak
lol!
Molly Ive been watching The Stand the last few days and something I didnt notice before is now bothering me.. Why would people be piloting a plane or driving cars when they were dying of Capn tripps?
Cleany men who eat lollys and put nappies on their grandbabies.
There was mass panic about Captain Tripps and people were trying to flee, thinking they could escape it. Have you read the book?
Ok I am actually reading the book now for the first time. But that makes sense since all the planes that crashed were small ones not the 747s
I'm confused because there is nothing about planes in the mini series.
Oh there were planes on the side of roads when they were all traveling to Hemingford Home
Ah, okay. I think The Stand was one of the best cast Stephen King stories ever (except for Molly Ringwold) Ruby Dee as Mother Abigail was an inspired choice. And Bill Fagerbakke was born to play Tom Cullen.
Rob Lowe pissed me off in this movie. His portrayal of a deaf man was truly offensive
No deaf person I know would hold their hands on someones chest and open mouth in awe when they are singing. No. Never would happen.
Rob Lowe is never a good choice for anything. And yes, the last time I watched the Stand I noticed Rob Lowe understanding what people were saying without looking at them.
Fireworks - thanks for the help. Enjoy your evenings.
But yes Rudy Dee and Bill were great. Ossie was good too so was Ray.
wtg, Liz.. congrats!
I'll watch anything with Gary Sinise in it. That man has appeal.
He was amazing as Harry Truman
He was, he is such a good actor. And under utilized, although I think that is by his choice.
Oh come on! Rob Lowe is answering a questing by writing it down but he has his eyes on the paper and not the person who is speaking. Makes me mad lol
Gary and Tom Hanks are pretty selective but that is fine. whatever they do is popular.. idk what people see in tom hanks though. cannot stand him.
congratulations liz!
That is what I meant by understanding people by not looking at them. They really should have had a deaf person as a consultant.
Marlee Matlin was at her prime then too. Makes no sense why they didn't use her. Phyllis Frelich (tony winning actress). I dont mean as the character but to advise. Theres also a huge deaf theater group in NYC. Well known.
Or while not looking at them...it's been a long day here
The deaf girl on abc family's switched at birth is not a native signer. she isnt culturally deaf but plays one on tv.
Well if I noticed Rob Lowe's mistakes portraying a deaf person, I am sure the deaf community did. I bet they got lots of complaints.
I probably dont remember because I was like 13? Or no I was a freshman in HS and I had a crush on rob lowe so I didnt notice anything he did wrong lol
last word, ti7.32 which I will be if I have another VT.. bye babblers, see you tomorrow.. poof
I think a better actor would have asked for a deaf person on set as a consultant. Rob Lowe is too in love with himself to think he needed that.
congratulations aloy!
wth sesame street is moving to hbo?
Wow, PBS lost big time on that.
And now, of course, kids whose parents can't afford HBO will not get to see it. That sucks.
Ah first runs on hbo. reruns on pbs
and 35 episodes per season instead of 18.
episdoes will air on pbs 9 months after hbo airs it.
THis deal actually looks like a winner to me.
PBS is free TV. HBO is pay TV. Why would anyone watch on HBO?
Yeah but the streaming thing .. they are going to be adding 150 episodes of past seasons on demand. PBS had cut the show to 30 minutes only starting this fall.
I'd rather first runs be on PBS then go to HBO. But that would make way too much sense.
I'm just glad I don't have young kids that need an explanation about why Sesame Street isn't on PBS anymore. Mine got perturbed enough about membership drives.
the back catalog of Sesame Street is where it's at anyway :-)
Oscar can swear now. Bert and Ernie can finally sleep in the same bed.
hahaha cos
I remember hos crushing it was for my niece when Mr. Hooper died. What will happen when Bob, Maria, Luis and the rest pass?
Maria just retired from the show.
I am still not over Mr. Looper's death... (That's Hooper Bird....)
Hos crushing? I really need to call it a day.
At first I thought you had to make crushed hohos for your daughter
No, it was my niece. She called him Mr. Hoo-Hoo. And she couldn't understand why he died. She was pretty little at the time.
Airing it on Thanksgiving was an interesting choice
I agree with 2Bit. The back catalog of Sesame Street is the best. Christmas Eve On Sesame Street is still one of my favorite Christmas shows.
I own that on dvd Watch it every christmas eve at 11pm
