*blink* and there she is!! {{hugs}} and good morning my dearest sprite
good morning my dear friend, *hugs*. How was your night and how was your day?
21? wth? come on!
night not too bad. wakeful but not really in pain. another busyish day. i just couldn't stand the state of the floors another day and when don vacs he pokes at it with the upholstery brush.
oh dear oh dear... rose... you know better! Don't do this to yourself, sweetie.
roflollll, sprite. your favourite letter
I don't even KNOW 21 k-words
how was your night sweetie? and yesterday? did you travel okay?
there you are, there's one right there. unfortunately it's not in the grid
yesterday was ok, I got the groceries and I cooked. Was very pooped though. I slept ok :)
three nights in a row. new record??
see? I know know, kiss, and kvas. Not in the grid.
definitely a new record since the op. Going in the right direction here, grin

I still have about 200 words to go, lol. I will be here when you come back.
np's sweetie. xoxox
Hi Sprite and Rose
hello dianne :)
Sprite, how are you doing?
doing pretty well, thanks. Healing up properly and eating is becoming a little less challenging. And how are you doing?
I am glad to hear that all is going well. Soon you will doing so many things better and easier. I'm doing o.l. just a bit frazzled with getting ready tomove back to the USA/
oh wow... that is a huge step. How long have you been living in hong kong?
We've been out here more than 20 years.
that is a really long time. Probably will be just as big a change as the initial moving to hong kong! Are you returning to a part of the states you know well?
We have an apartment in Florida. So that is where we are going. Hpefully we will be able to sell it and find one a bit bigger before too long.
exciting, Dianne!
I am not thrilled with it - I like the city life we have here. I can walk to everything. Where our place in Florida is you have todrive everywhere.
aw :( So why the move then, if it is ok to ask?
It is the smart thing to do financially. We own the place in Florida and owners are not allowed to rent. So it is sitting empty while we are payinga big rent out here.
that is really sad. And you have of course considered selling in Florida and buying a very cheap small thing? Or even selling alltogether?
It is time for us to be back in the U.S. We are able to get affordable medical care because we are seniors. Pur families live in the U.S.
well I hope you have some things to really look forward to in the states then, Dianne. It is hard to leave a place you love.
and back showered, hair washed, in my jammies, meds. ready. *settles back into armchair* well, g'day dianne. big move dear.
It is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate. The idea of "spring cleaning" is a really good thing. Too bad I didn't do a thorough cleaning and trashing every year - things would be easier now!
*wonders how rose manages to only shower her back*
hahahaha sprite. ;-P
oh I hear you! We need to clean out here too. I have been too ill/depressed/handicapped for so many years and things have accumulated beyond belief.
*giggles* silly rose!
yeah sprite?? try still going through MIL's stuff, bags of my mother's stuff, and boxes in the garage which have been there for over 11 years and need to be vetted.
ugh, that is a lot of stuff too
it's ghastly how it has all built up. i know what you have been through, and i so wish i could pop on over and help you out.
We need a new rule - if you bring something new into the house something old has to go out the same day.
so do I. crazy idea we are half a globe apart
very good idea!
good one, but where do you throw a husband to? recycling, green waste or the tip?
I would put him on the street, rose. I bet there is somebody who is just yearning to have one for their own and will pick him up.
recycling could be fun.
fat chance sprite. at their peril, i say.
my love and I were married 20 years last saturday :D We just decided to go another 20 years together, so I am keeping mine!
wow!! congrats sprite. major achievement!!
it took work, but it is so worth it
I just came across a photo of us on our 30th anniversary trip - and we looked great!
you still look great, Dianne
ikr? all marriages are a work in progress. the minute it stops progressing, end of life
so true, rose.
I found a fly!
well done sprite
lol. Always a nice one to spot.
and there are rodents too
rodents? Hmmmm do you mean the ones that stuff their cheeks? Those I have
yup, well done
it is a smooth grid so far
and a couple of birds, and plenty of sheep
was very sad that kyree was not valid. Tsk. Does nobody read mercedes lackey anymore???
apparently not... lolll
TY for clues below.
well, Liz did! She knows :)
hiya Scrabs :)
g'day scrabs. how are you, dear?
I need 33 more wods and I think I need to list to find them - 11 of them are s words.
Waking up. I could use 2 more hours of sleep.
awww scrabs. th4s not good, honey.
*hands Scrabs 2 hours of sleep, distilled and concentrated*
There is no shame in using the list, DIanne.
TY, Sprite.
Dianne, go and list, lol. Don't torture yourself. With grids this big, the last few are tough without list... you feel like you have already tried everything even remotely possible
well done dianne. *takes off hat and bows to dianne's wisdom*
Hi there!
hiya car.ee :)
g'day car.ee
Hi Car. How are you? How is your back? How are the boys doing in the new school year?
ugh all those re words
I'm ok. Injections for my back were denied, so I am now appealing that. Boys are doing great!
Yes, appeal!
why were they denied?
Damn health insurance companies!
there should be a law that before denying someone a treatment, the person judging should have the pain for a week.
volleydee had trouble with her injections too. she ended up out of pocket mega bucks.
As of August 1st, my insurance company now requires all such procedures be authorized by the National Imaging Association...for what purpose I am not sure. I had 2 doctor referrals already in place. NIA denied it because they did not have documentation that I went to PT (yes, for 4 months), a chiropractor (no), or had tried medication therapy (which I don't want to do). I had to contact my PT which then sent over the summary. Now I am waiting to hear....... In the meantime, I am just about back to where I was as I only got a shot in my left SI joint and not the right one, so I've been walking around lopsided. :(
Sorry, that's long.
tough break, car :(
don't insurance companies just give you the total irrits??
I have spoken to NIA docs frequently and I always make the story grim so they have no choice. Or, if you know a lawyer, get a letter from a lawyer.
The whole thing is stupid. If the insurance company wanted to implement that for NEW claims...fine. Don't mess with those already in place and under treatment.
The NIA docs are snots but I have found them easy to speak with--they have always approved my requests.
The NIA docs, I think, are told to deny everything.
Scrabs must write you a letter, car :)
Well, that is not helpful at all.
Car, your doc must speak with an NIA doc.
I had the left SI joint done and then couldn't get the right one done, so now I'm back to square one again.
I spoke to the NIA...that's how I found out what they were missing.
Today I must spend more time on the phone figuring out where it stands now.
OK...new topic
Yes, we have established dislike for health insurance companies.
Add an S to every word.
pretty much
yes, scrabs. the lower right hand s tile is well used
finally the 9, pfff
Yay!
well done sprite
ok strange there is no f letter, but I have the word fume on my word list???

and after an r word before an s word....
the goblins have been messingwith my computer
How odd.
huh?? gemini ?? it sure looks like it.

oh my goodness!! LOLOLOL
If nothing else, the bitch does listen to me.
lol car.
sukee, how so, honey?
Oh no! Horrible
Hi une

What do you mean Rose?
Hi Une.
sukee, how did the poor darling die?
I don't know that, I assume she was also murdered in some way.
oh for goodness sake. has the world gone mad??
I can't compute killing a helpless 2 year old.
yes, the world has gone mad
i agree, peri ...
there are crazy, heartless people out there
They had arrested a 22 year old yesterday.
eek, I just noticed there are 21 K words.
yep and i only have half of them!
back in a mo . . .
and 45 W words!
I found 18 of the k words
well friends i would like to run a little something past you all. as you know from my profile i am only 63. ultrasound shows i have advanced osteo in both hips, and i have ruptured both anterior and posterior tendons in my hips. the only possible cause is a major trauma.
why won't workcover accept the fall is what has done this?
because they do not want to put out any money?
It is ridiculous that they don't. Of course it is what obviously caused it.
did the workers comp cover the initial injury?
yes dawg
they probably have a clause for pre-existing condition. stupid, but it also can be litigated as having not been properly or thoroughly treated.
*scratching head* it wasn't until after the surgery and i was struggling to get back to work that the pain in my hips surfaced. i feel like i am between a rock and a hard place.
unfortunately, it will probably have to be litigated through the court system or your judicial medical system to be reevaluated.
yeah, dawg. and i have the time and money to ride it out. i am not a greedy person. i only want wh4 is rightfully mine.
Good thing I have nothings else to do today but work on this grid :)
it's a great grid, sukee. i had a ball.
sukee, I just read back. Glad you are starting to feel better.
Hi Annie, ty.
It's amazing what a full nights sleep will do for you.
hiya, annie
hi dawg :)
thanx for your feed-back girls. i was wondering if i was being unreasonable.

and hello everybody from luker-land
hello ((ruby)) How's it going?
Hello, Ruby :-)
hello ((anie)): I'm working on an envelope for Bobby, but slowly slowly
ruby, please don't tax yourself. Please.
Things are very hard here as Burt is declining rapidly and is becoming more aggressive with me. Also much more confused
I was sorting through papers (belatedly, of course) and started finding things I'd set aside for Bobby.
He is having trouble dressing himself and can't follow simple instructions unless they're repeated over and over
ruby, Is his doctor really aware of the situation?
he came here yesterday and completed more paperwork which he was going to hand-deliver to the local nursing home
It will be terrible for Burt, but I can't handle him any more
He's scary and surprisingly strong when he's angry
ruby, That is a step in the right direction. Yes, it will be hard for Burt. When my fatherinlaw was starting to come down with Alzheimers, he attacked my mother in law. Please be very careful.
((Ruby))
I would prefer to keep him here, but this house is not set up for a full-time live-in person.
{{zzoozz}}
nd although I have help during the day, at least some of the time, he doesn't become difficult until after dinner
I've heard it's called "sundowning" for Alzheimer's patients
I think the local nursing home is the best solution.Would be too much for you to handle now he is getting rapidly worse.
Are my posts coming through?
He'll be lost because of his hearing and the language, but I'll never get well if he is here plaguing me
I see your post at 8;07am, Annie.
I rebooted. Ruby, do what is best for you. Easy to say, hard to do.
(I had missed your 8:07 post, Annie) ty zzoozz

hmmm. interesting question! I have a new job this year, and NO instruction in how to do it. TOTALLY flying by the seat of my pants, and not really loving that.
trying to be proactive, but those I do ask questions of tend to resent it, which is charming.
wow.. too busy to answer you or just being difficult
I would think teaching is a team effort for all involved
too busy to answer. they just want me to "know" it, or figure it out as I go. I don'
I don't find that a productive way to proceed, but I'll be damned if I'm getting thrown under the bus
would anyone love to clue me on the 9?
I agree with that
jimmy Hoffa was a te9
now he's a goal post
I don't find that exclusive to schools, by the way - I have worked a few places in different industries that have that mentality
best. clue. ever. (dead under Ginat's stadium won't fit though)
I would be very uncomfortable working in a place that did not have specific goals and guidelines for my job description.
they're going to bury Tom Coughlin there next
lol
After Eli kills him with ten more interceptions
I keep wanting to ask "can you show me where in the handbook this is outlined?" the joke being, of course, that there is no handbook
What a shame. I feel sorry for the kids in that school. There should be better leaders there.
I have to get to my doctor's appointment. Best of luck Trif.
in every job I've had since I"ve left academia, I've been the one to write the 'handbook' for whoever came after me
best of luck to you too, ruru
there just isn't enough time, molly. everyone is so overloaded as it is.
i have begun to see it as a learning experience, in and of itself. otherwise, Ithink i would be even more pissy and bitter
have a good one ruru.
I do sometimes think of writing down things as I go, and then tweaking it at the end of the year - handbook written!
but then so much is teacher/student/class specific, it would need to adapt for every teacher
of course, stuff changes every 17 minutes, but still
well, good luck Trifioso... hang in there and give 'em hell!
thanks. every day has its challenges and blessings. I have a good job, with health insurance, so Im thankful
Well I'm glad you are happy with it Trif. Most of your comments here have made me think otherwise. I'm glad that is not the case.
