I tried that with the red pepper one. But finally I realised the only way to solve it is with a shape sort, and I don't like sorting.

There are plenty of things that could cause a chat log to freeze up. Usually it is an overload of things in your internet history. Also, if you are using an old computer that you do not regularly run virus and malware scans on, you will have problems like that.
