Ties and shoes and dogs and cats, think we have covered a bunch of topics tonight :)

No Liz....these kids are aged 12/13 and had to put together a package to help the community - because they are in a low socio environment, the kids came up with the idea of a home package for youngsters about to start school...the package includes pencils colouring books, sight cards etc.
A shame - but still a fantastic achievement for the school.

200 down - time for a break. BBL
I think my new way of doing the grid makes it twice as hard, I start with the first tile and I cannot leave that tile until I find at least half the words.
My method is to get to nbt doing the tiles in order, left to right, top to bottom, only one word per tile, then proceed.
However I ca add words if theyare within that main word from that tile
Don't we luv to challenge ourselves (;
So I fill in some of the other words that way
I think I miss less words this way, than when I would jump all over the grid.
For the initial pass that is
Sometimes, tho, a word will jump at me, and I'll break that routine to seize the word.
Yes me too if its a big word I always grab those!
halfway and bedtime. laila tov! [poof]
Nini Melon
Ha found the re 9 in the tiles I had left to do :p
And yes there is a clue in there.
morning all
{{hugs}} and good morning my dearest sprite. how are you today?
tired, lol. But otherwise good. *hugs* my dear friend. How was your day?
church this morning. we had a soon-to-be five year old girl baptised. she was absolutely gorgeous.
aw how precious
our vicar made us all laugh. she was about to baptise her, and the little darling hid behind her mother. vicar said....you didn't tell me she was camera shy.
hehehe :)
the night shift was interesting. Pretty intense too.
then came home and have not done very much except watch the BIG motorcycle race on the tv. my thoat is so sore from screaming. those riders have no sense whatsoever of danger.
at least you had a good time
what time did you actually "work"?
from 11 pm till 3 am. then home, got up at 6 to say goodbye to my girl who has left for england for a week, back to bed, to be awoken by my noisy husband at 8 am. Sigh.
oh you mean the fairy elephant you live with? his clone lives with me.
that is the one. I said: what are you DOING? And he said, totally beside the point of course: It is only me.
minoride: when your puber son steals your car keys
*rolls eyes* i get, in a stage whisper, leaning over me, are you awake?
ugh! To which you answer: I am NOW...
that said, I appreciate my love a little more again after last night... such rotten marriages in the world, ugh.
that would do it. i try not to complain either. most of my complaints are tongue in cheek anyway.
*looks around* Where did our rose go? Squirrel?
ah there she is :)
*too busy munching on crackers and dip*
lol. Enjoy, sweetie.
s'okay. have licked the plate. it was capsicums, feta and roasted garlic. really ni4.
yummy
so, do you have a quiet day today?
nothing too pressing except for the laundry. I will indulge in a nap too :)
prolly a good idea.
yeah, 3 hours of sleep will not cut it for me
i bet caya was excited this morning.
she was. She has a fear of flying, so it was extra stressful for her.
oh dear, not the best for her then. perhaps a few short trips which are uneventful will boost her confidence.
yeah I hope so too. I am proud of her she doesn't avoid it.
v ires
that works better without the space... sorry
*giggle* also works better in your word list.

oh my, reporter is interviewing a couple who have been married for 72 years

I might wait for the laundry, hang it up and then go back to bed L(
i hear the magic sound of dishes being washed...just as well....we have run out of clean forks...lolll
sounds like a good plan.
Hi and hugs, my friends
{{hugs}} lizgirl
ah lovely, a man at work :D
*hugs Liz* Hello dear friend, how was your day?
Not too bad - a bit less achy today and my lovely hubby did most of the Sunday clean-up - like you said - lovely, a man at work!
our hubbies are all keepers, then
we can watch it for hours :) Glad you are in less pain, Liz. It sounded really painful.
For sure :)
Still taking paracetamol - might see how I feel tomorrow.
Laughing still hurts - coughing too :(
smart move
yeah well, dont' cough :) Laughing is unavoidable, you'll have to bear it.
Thanks for the Obelix stone - the word suddenly came to me!
good for you!
Trying to be very serious here - not succeeding.
*snorts*
How are you and you, Rose?
75 left - might have to list soon.
I am fine here
Seems like I've dr 6 Rose off!
not very comfortable, but i am not complaining.
How was yesterday? Didn't you have a session of work?
of course not, grin. Just another squirrel
I should learn from you Rose - I whinge when I hurt!
hmmmm, what to say, what to say? read my lips.. * blows a raspberry*
I guess it's because I'm lucky and hurt so rarely.
no you don't liz. you are a stalwart too.
tsk tks tks, bad manners, rose
roflol
a bit of whinging doesn't hurt nobody
Except those who keep hearing it :)
would you prefer i used sign language?
Talking about me, not you!

Poor hubby of mine - had to put up with a lot over the past few days.

going to start coffeemaker, be right back
re 8/50
Back to try and reach half (pathetic, I know)
((ruby))
{{annie}} how are you feeling? Did kje's suggesyions for your pain pills work?
Un8/60
don't feel ashamed for the goal you set - we each have different ones (in all areas of life) and amounts of time varies from day to day
helo teach. We haven't been in the room at the same time in ages
ruby, It hurts like the dickens. I am afraid to take so much Tylenol. I am taking Tylenol and Aleve and the anti-viral the doctor gave me.
Should I mail you some of my strong stuff? I would willingly share....
((ruby))
LOL...and we would be end up in the clink. But thanks for the offer.
good to see you today - we are staying at a lodge in the mountains this weekend and haven't had much time - but getting some in erly this morning - up in the mountains - cold here (29F) with some snow yesterday
I am lucky to have doctors who don't hesitate to give painkillers. They don't want me to have pain
((crossy))
And I'm very reswistant to the meds, so it takes a surprising amount to knock out the pain. With the amount of morphine I take, most people would sleep all the time
I just can't drive safely because my distance perception is compromised and I'm a little bit wobbly
ruby, I am so happy you have something that helps you with the pain.
The location of the tumors is too central and I couldn't function with the kind of pain I had last winter with the wrong diagnosis and wrong meds
Hi ruby. Glad you are doing well, albeit, with pain
hello, Bichon, the pain is under control and I can function pretty well, just not a lot of walking and nothing strenuous (no lifting because of the sternum)
And I love being in this big empty house!
ah, peace and quiet, nothing like it
vied
Sunday Freebie
Rufie's breeder said that she thinks letting him breed is a bad idea, that it would make him more likely to roam and could change his sweet disposition.
I'm sure the ffemale will be disappointed as he was certainly said to be her Prince Charming
I agree ruby. Most dogs in the US are neutered
Maybe you can let him become a Dad and neuter him
He is just such a magnificent and unusual specimen and comes from a very distinguished champion family
No, I would never do that. His "coquilles" are lovely, big and black! lol
And he's the sweetest dog I've ever known while being a formidable guard dog for me
Good morning
Hello car.
(Ruby)) How are you?
Much better, thanks
Excellent!
bonjour, ruby! :-)
bonjour, une
glad you're able to manage the pain . . .
annie, wish we could wave a magic wand and rid you of yours!
The doctors are wonderful and, if taken on schedule, the drugs work
Une, I wish the same. Wouldn't that be wonderful
excellent :-)
But like kje said yesterday, you need to take them BEFORE the pain sets in
((Annie))
What a sweet sentiment. Thank you
Yes, I know. However, it never leaves.
thanks for the hug, car.
gentle healing hugs to you, annie . . .
We need a separate column for a Babble Prayer List. So many in need
And some I miss because I'm on at different times.
I think Annie's pain is like what I had last winter or even worse! What number would you give it, annie? On a scale of 1 to 10 is it a 15?
thanks, Une
a bit over a 10. I didnt go out yesterday and I felt bad for Bobby but he didint seem to mind. He keeps telling me I pulled a muscle.
I think the many prayers made my blood work improve. Now if we could pray for the tumors to shrink....
Soodle even has masses said for me. I am lucky
th 5/14, first one, pls
having to do with heat?
ruby, I ask G-d to help you every night.
How wonderful of Soodle. That woman is a gem.
I know, annie, xx
soodle is amazing -- i put her in the category of "they broke the mold" :-)
I can add you both to the prayer list at my church...would that be OK?
I love her and we need prayers for he, too
yes, car. Thank you for that

and hi again, back to finish up - had been wakened in the night by a local dog barking nonstop. He's tied up outside.
yw mlf
Report them flosey. That is cruel
but he guards the chickens - a creek runs through our properties and mink, etc. occasionally come up and will kill chickens
Are you saying that the mink stoll the chickens?
I turned on the outside lights just to be sure there wasn't a prowler - dog eventually stopped, may have been taken inside
mink will just kill as many as they can and leave them
Wow why?
lol, never asked one
guess it's just in their nature?
great answer, flossy - lol
Maybe the chickens egg them on
they don't usually lay at night, ru
(that was a joke flosey)
got it ru, just back at you
I didn't know minks were killers.. that's really interesting
I thought minks stayed home in their dens ...rather sort of henpecked :D
another farm down the road lost the entire (smallish) lot of their chickens one night

A fair point, Une. She has a loving owner :-)

hahaha - had forgotten that word - cr 8/50 - what's left to put in the urn after you've been sent through the oven posthumously. No singular version, just plural.

HIyas, kids! Anyone ever roast veggies in the crock pot before? I didn't feel like firing up the oven, so I threw my beets, carrots & taters in the crock.
to roast? how is that possible? just dry?
I tossed in a little water and some herbs. It just cooks with heat, so dry would work too.
fantastic idea Judi - I will try it.
Also put some broccoli rabe on top. Plan on having it over couscous later in the week.
gotta run and do a carpool - bbl!
Harry is such a good Dad
re7/40(the last one....clue please
