Thanks Lizlin!
yw

hi Rose
and FW
and off to bed, very tired
WTG FLOSEY!!! and sweet dreams dear
thanks Rose
and how are you tonight?
a little better flosey. i am now using a TENS machine. it is giving me some relief.
how are you, honey? and the mr flosey?
good to hear that,Rose - no idea what that is, but as long as it's working
we're both fine - just getting old!!!
and tired
lol...it is a machine which delivers small electric current to the troublesome nerve via gel pads placed on either side.
he still insists on doing far more gardening than we can use - he just gives it away
but, it's what he loves to do
flosey, as long as it keeps him active and happy, dear.
ah, that sounds interesting, Rose, hope it's working for ou
yes, but also very tired!
i slept right through the night with only the one potty time needed.
he has given a couple of plots to nearby friends who don't have the space to grow food
wow, that's great Rose
it is flosey. nice, and no drugs involved. and that is great for me.
I am lucky if I get more than 6 hours/night
that is indeed
sleeping pills cause memory loss!! so hate using them - usually cut them in half - tiny as they are!
the other night, I fell asleep in my easy chair - 2 hours, got up and went to bed and slept until 8 - very rare for me
been there done that, and i definitely don't want to go back. i was so hung over the next morning.
wow!! you must have felt terrific the next morning.
must love you and leave you, Rose, see you tomorrow night
sleep well dear fiend. xoxox
yes, you bet I did
liz... are you still around?
Wow found the 8 with in the first five minutes of starting!
I found the eight fairly quickly. It's the rest of the damn words I can't find
Good morning {{zzoozz}} poopy little grid. Don/t they know it's Saturday?
LOL very true, Matty :-)
Hello Matty
Hello, Ruby :-) Maybe a nice large grid for Sunday may be in order!
It may be little, but I am finding it tough
OK you two smarties, what are the stats for the"obvious" 8?
em8/50
EM 8/50
<-- brain dead this AM
If you'd not eaten for months you'd be em8
many thanks, matty, I would never have seen that, em that I am lol
Have you managed to put any weight back on, Ruby?
:D
maybe one lb. Ilook like a skeleton, perfect for Halloween
I haven't weighed this since I was 10
Well I am as thin as a rake too if that helps. And I just can not put any weight on no matter how much I eat.
Maybe you could try some protein shakes or weight gain products, Ruby.
Do your shirts look like you've left the hanger in?
Have you ever tasted those? tHEY ARE AWFUL! yOU CAN TASTE THE VITAMINS
I do not wear any I wear t-shirts and jumpers/sweaters.
I wear so many layers under a wool caftan that I look less scary and stay warmer in this freezing house.
The doctor put my father on these little protein bottled drinks that are full of all you need to keep you going. will find out what they are called when I go round there today. Will tell you nex time I see you here. You could try those and try to eat normal meals on top. That might help you gain weight!
I've started eating little treats all day, smasll amount of things I like. And lots of eggs and milk and whey
I just can't face much meat
Chicken is probably an okay one to try and eat & fish.
The commune brings a meal 6 days and I eat parts of it for two meals. Sometimes it's great, others, it's inedible.
Would those drinks be the ensure ones?
I'm lucky, though, that my very "branche" neighbor got me on the meals list
that is nice you are getting support, Ruby!
They bring a full-course meal for 7.50 euros.
This place is wonderful for support, both neighbors and gov't
hello DC
Not sure, Dc, he gets them on prescription. They are supposed to be about £4-5 a bottle and they are not that big!
That is good to hear, Ruby. Am glad you are taking the support too!
The same neighbor gets them for her son, who is ill, but neither he nor i CAN SWALLOW THEM
hello ruby..zooz. the ensure are what they give you in hospital when you can't eat and you can get them from GP
In this little bottle you could just survive on them without any other meals. I would not recommend that to anyone just saying that if you could not eat at all that is what they are for.
My big meal is breakfast' It's the only time I'm really hungry
ooh a nice fry up, Ruby!!
think they are 300calories
I make French toast with 2 eggs, lots of butter and maple syrup. It has to be 500 calories!
I know they are a lot of calories but do not know the exact amount.I will find that out when i go round there. I know they have different flavours of which he hates all of them. But suffers less with chocolate ones lol
Sounds nice, ruby!
Ha just found a greater Manchester town in the grid lol
I looked up Pendle Hill Witches and now I have to read some text. But the images of the countryside are beautiful
It does look stunning, Ruby, I looked at the pictures of it yesterday!
My dog acts like a "familiar" and makes "talking" noises. I would probably be hanged as a witch! lol
Okay I need to get off and do other things. Will find out the name of those nourishment drinks for you, Ruby.
LOL that is funny, Ruby.
Will have to see if i can find my last 18 words later. Happy babbling everyone!
You would love my dog, zzoozz. Have fun!
I'm going, too. If you're still here, AC, I'll see you later.
Bye both of you I disappeared to get breakfast

tough grid. I have 3 blank tiles and on 6's
it is not an overly friendly grid.
is the move just a change of scenery or other factors?
other factors
Peri, did you get your won place?
I am looking forward to having my own bathroom!
I like peace and quiet.
Or your own place?
I did, MOlly. in the house where my good lives. her cousin owns the building.
my good friend lives.
That is great. I know you have been wanting that for a long time.
it will be on street parking that I am not happy about and the rent is higher but I need to leave here.
I will have most of my credit card debt paid by next months. so I will not have that hanging over my head.
next month
I would have like to stay in this area but I could not afford it.
there are trades offs with everything

the refrigerator in the new place is very narrow and I am trying to convice the landlord to get me a bigger one. It will happen, but just not now.

I need to get a new bed for my son, but the brand I prefer is very expensive.
congrats on the new digs, Peri. good luck in finding a bed you like.
ty lbd
what brand is that Molly
Stearns And Foster
carol the landlord just bougt a sleep number bed and really likes it but they are expensive.
that is a good brand, Molly, guess it depends on the type of mattress you buy.
my friend Mary as a tempurapedic and likes that
I have not bought a bed in 25 years
do you have a raymour and Flanagan outlet near you Molly. There is one not too far from me. thought I would go to a Raymour and Flanagan regular store and maybe sleepys and Macy.s Then go to the outlet to see if they have what I want at a lower price.

fw
clues before I run?
congrats
any weird sixes, i would take a clue for, as i have no sixes yet
ca 6/24 sounds like the fancy tropical islands where the 1% traditionally hide money.
ag6/30 - a + most of Monopoly + ends in most of water
an6/21, an6/24 -- not healthy
ma 4/7, second one, pls
nm
ooh thanks
that ca6 is a crocodile
I know what it really is, was just going for a different clue :)
and the an6's are related to low blood counts
well crossy, as i don't know what it really is, i am glad you did
off to start the day - happy babbling all
oh i see kje said, crocodile
taht is why i clued it the way I did
i take walks in the morning around the neighborhood near my work and there is one house that has a statue of a crocodile in their yard. i find this very weird.
I only learned of this croc recently always something new to learn on babble:)
although not as weird as the house where there is a used ice cream van sitting outside with a skull for the handle on the top of the shifter
Why go with a boring pink flamingo when you can have a croc:)
As long as its not a real croc!
:)
so hey i have a movie recommendation. i'd only ever seen david suchet as poirot, and then i discovered this old star-studded version of "murder on the orient express" - idk which poirot actor i prefer, but the overall movie was so great. listen to some of the cast: sean connery, vanessa redgrave, ingrid bergman, lauren bacall...
mm :( grids like this you just send out the monkey's to toss letters around and see what sticks :)
Wow! Some big names:)
albert finney played poirot - he was the older guy in the bourne movies
I must dig this up - if only to see this cast!
i got the dvd from netflix
I just did the cheap thing - checked with my library - no luck! obviously must make an investment in it.
sometimes libraries are very responsive to requests that they purchase something
This is true - and you should see the list of books and DVDs I have already accumulated on their suggestion page! I'll give it a try.
:)
anybody have a clue for ya5? it's my last word
I just looked it up in imdb for the date - it's the first listing they come up with!
ya + male people
thanks!
I was a devoted fan of Marian Zimmer Bradley, and the word there refers to an alien race - reclusive, forest-dwelling, psychic - so I always boggle at it in babble. But it's a boring house of a high official in the chinese empire!
Can you guys clue a very tired me my last three words? They're probably really obvious but I'm sluggish
wi5/22, ac5/12 and ae5/12?
Got the WI!
It's the name of a place in the North of England :)
ac5 you can think of a certain acid
ac + scrambled eat
but not end in -yl
ae + the US spy service
or -one!
Oooh - thank you - that's fireworks
Brilliant hurshy - I couldn't think of a clue for that at all!
We're off to Newark (in the Midlands of the UK not New Jersey) soon, once Jeff has had his fill of the rugby
Have a good day all
midlands of UK sounds much better than jersey
i should say NEW jersey in such a context rather than shorten it, shouldn't i, lol
Heh. Actually, Newark is nothing to write home about. It is near Lincoln as well (not Nebraska) which is nicer. Newark is a working class market town past its prime (in my opinion anyway_
Hursh, have you ever thought of moving to England, since you seem so enamored of being "one of them"?
of course i have THOUGHT of it, it's the actual doing of it that's hard. finding jobs there and whatnot.
I must say Newark N.J. was dismal on my only stay there - but it was just before Christmas, my aunt there had died, there were all these strike - including the fire department and truckers! - and I once got dragged into a diner by three kind black teenagers who told me that it was too dangerous to wait outside at the bus stop - and that the cops were as dangerous as anybody else! I think it's changed some since then.
they don't make it easy to switch countries in this world, it is one of the very odd things about life
good heavens, helen.
Secaucus was my worst stay in Jersey.
Oh, yes - there was also a flu epidemic - I just barely got back into Canada (on Christmas Eve) before they closed the border because of it. And I think the guy next to me on the plane from Newark to Erie had it!
i've only been to princeton. or like, gone just directly to newark airport maybe also.
Princeton is lovely. I like Princeton. Trenton on the other hand....
Newark is literally the only place in NJ I've ever been. When I visited my aunt she was living in New York.
no wait, i've also been to one of the expensive suburby towns, what was it called...
oh well, ttfn all
I've been to Hoboken..and would choose not to ever go back
same here ruru, i was offered a job there once and couldn't imagine living in that area.
maes
at the time.. I was looking for a studio to rent and I couldn't afford manhattan
oops darn it
this is the biggest babblet board of all time
Surely Brooklyn or the Bronx would be ahead of Hoboken in your list!
not at the time.. Brooklyn was pretty rough then
so was the Bronx
the Bronx is still pretty rough :D
And Hoboken wasn't?
oh sure.. it was terrible too
I was an idiot to look
I thought its reputation was pretty much like Newark's.
the place was a shithole for $2,000 a month
true ru! amazing how hip Harlem has become
yes.. harlem seems to be improving
I think it can be hard to accept a job in NYC - my son was offered one with the teacher's union (archivist) and had to turn it down because they weren't offering enough for him to live there!
yes.. same story for me.
Fireworks!
I was planning to work there for a few years and "save" money and go spend a year or two in europe
yeah i don't know how people survive there on teacher, firefighter, police etc. salaries
good for you Helen.. I have no clue on the last 25
I think a lot of the firemen and policement live on Staten Island. Or even in NJ, though I think they have to keep that quiet.
Take a break,ru - I had to be off for a while, and a lot came easily after that.
yes I thought they had to live in "the city" but sure is tough
Well, must catch up with my email - horrid thought - back later maybe.
bye helen
well.. I am going to have to list on this grid.. first one in a while
firewords! The ac4/5 related to highest point were my last - thanks lickety & all cluers
phantom: kangaroo
completely stuck now
Oh, hey there Ru. How are you doing? : P
yeah.. there is life here
I was thinking that everyone is lurking and hiding from trolls these days
or imaginary trolls even
Usually, lurkers "come out of lurk mode" to say something, which seems to defeat the whole lurking thing. But what do I know?
yep.. either you're lurking or your not
As for "trolls"...some people are unaware of what the actual definition of an "internet troll" really is.
for some people one size fits all
I looked up internet monkey and couldn't find anything either :D
One size fits all...yeah...depends on how passive/aggressive someone is, I guess
I sort of understand Passive/Aggressive.. but not completely. I'm not really clear on it
The passive/aggressive types think everything is viewed as an attack on them. When something doesn’t go their way, it is seen as unfair or an injustice. It’s all about how the world impacts on them.
yes.. I get that.. sometimes it is more deceptive though isn't it?
I have to get running.. getting my hair cut (or what's left of it ) :D
bye molly
pas·sive-ag·gres·sive adjective of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or misplacing important materials.

Poor Ru, he missed defining the ga5 of his profession
What is his profession?
the sexual union of his profession? what does that mean lol
ca5, please?
use the ca4 and insert
oops use the ca4 and insert another vowel in the middle
got it thanks
yw
Ga5/20 is a grape, not a sexual union. I thought you defined it, Blah
Molly - you said ga5. Not ga5/20. See your comment below. Thanks.
And yes, I did provide a def for the ga5/20 - a grape used to make wine, commonly red, most typically beaujolais.
My apologies for not being more specific
what does the second ga5/20 mean?
No need to apologize, just pointing out that there was no way to know which of the three ga5's you might be referring to. So I had some fun with it
mo - apparently it means "with sexual union," whatever that means lol
and the ag6 thus is the opposite
Ruru's ears must be burning by now
are we talking about the same ga6 ... the one ending with the 4 value word?
sorry ending with the 4 value letter.
oh that's the 3rd one - I had to look that one up too. It is "an unscrupulous opportunist who stoops to sharp practice" - based on a Yiddish word
thank you ... I could not find the definition
If you click on the "?" for a definition and it says "DID YOU MEAN _____" click on that word and you will get the definition
I did molly and it came up with alternatives but not that word.
i think the one with the f at the end is an alternative spelling. I just googled it in any case.
it has gone very quiet now so I will wish you all a very good evening and if you are in Britain ... do not forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight.
g'night mo
good luck all
another week til our clocks change in the US
goodnight therealblah.
The Enable Word List, which feeds this game, recognizes many alternate spellings.
