gout is hard to manage with meds. Some days, regular meds will work just fine and he can even drink a beer. Other days, he gets a gout attack from walking past the beer in the grocery store.
poor man...so restricting for him. mind you with my hips i have a lot of empathy with the pain onsets.
yeah it is a bother. But not as bad as chronic pain and there are even worse things we could have. He is managing, drinks a lot of lemonade these days, and carbonated water with lemon. What is really frustrating, is that sometimes he still gets an attack, even with the daily meds and no alcohol and avoiding certain foods. When one is being so good, one wants to be rewarded for one's efforts.

I usually buy online and have it shipped straight to my mom's house so I don't have to worry about packing presents. I'm driving this year, though, so I'm good.

Bought Mom a pretty necklace and Mom memory book that I have to fill out. Getting Nephew a gift card for a tattoo parlor, which Mom isn't too happy about, but giving him a GC to fix his hideous tattoo is better than letting him walk around with it as is. Dad I'll get some special-batch bourbon. Dad's wife is a little tricky. Have to figure that one out still.

my oldest grand daughter has come up s with a fantastic idea for me for christmas. it is hard for me to shop. i have been trying to unloa my house of lots of treasures that i have gathered over the years
she says i should wrap them up and give them away for presents
i have books earmarked for every one of them, vintage clothing i have kept for 50 years or more, games, puzzles, tools antique glassware and tons of other stuff like elegant plantpots and quilts and ....................

Its scary because 6 weeks ago there was a guy walking down the street shooting random people a block away from where I work.
It is scary. When those two guys were driving around this area, shooting people at random (Beltway Sniper Attacks) people around here were terrified.
