i bought a live one two weeks ago (and a dungeness crab) - was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge
sounds yummy.....haven't bought a live one in a long time....there is a place here that will cook them for you for a small fee....
i prefer crab, he prefers lobster - so we each have a little of the other's and enjoy our feast
i like them both!... ;o)
they'll steam them here, too (for free), but i don't mind doing it at home, especially if dinnertime is hours away
my place is small....don't like to smell up the place....
ohhh, i like them both, too - wish i had access to blue claw and soft-shells, i sure miss them
if you throw in a little old bay, it smells lovely, like the sea :)
here i eat Maine crab once in a while....i like all kinds of crab....
during summers, we rented a place on the maryland shore - that's when the tablecloth was brown paper and dozens of blue claws were steamed (with old bay) and picked apart with reckless abandon
very nice...i visited someone years ago who lived in the Potomac area and they had a cage where they kept some crab....had a feast outdoors there in a special open, roofed area ....yummy....
