he's called Loki and he's an adorable little brat :) Sily is SO well. She's now 10 (!) and is finally comign into herself. She's turned bolshy and lovey in her old age!

Scotland is still amazing, and it's just a wonderful place to be. I can go up to Orkney for a weekend, or explore all the west coast and east coast. The weather is just horrible at the moment :(

i had a computer with a floppy drive.
have. still have until i figureout how to get stuff off of it
what i did was email the files to myself
might have to compress the larger ones
i thought of that but there is no internet on it. it had a dial up connection.
i think perhaps find a usb port, if there was such a thing back then.
A comport tech should be able to take out the drive and convert it

There are some programs that will help you do this, I think....but I have no idea how they work....another option is to ask a computer tech guy if he could take things off a floppy....would be cheaper than having him deal with the whole computer.....

Well you never know what they can do with the disk unles you ask....

i think what pen means is save the files to a floppy disc and that way, all you have to do is bring the disc to the computer tech, not the whole machine
If you had a portable hard drive, you could save things to it on one computer and access it with the other (after reconnecting it)....
what does that have to do with an external hard drive, is the question.

i do not think i made myself understood. the computer with the files and a modem connection has what i want. it has a hard drive and a floppy drive. i do not know how i would connect an external hard drive to that dinosaur.

dan2.. i was looking at a tenderloin roast and the cheapest was $72 so we settled for a ribeye roast. I didn't know till the butcher told me that the tenderloin = filet mignon! Oh yum, no wonder it disappeared
I was happy not to cook but we had 3 turkey dinners with all the trimmings for 3 days in a row. I think Mr Bugs wanted his own left overs
