must try and find a solution for the darn car. Called tripleA yesterday, they seemed to have fixed it. Then when we wanted to leave for singing lesson, it was dead again. It is probably beyond repair. And I can't do without a car, and of course we don't have enough funds for one... I wish we could finally get a break. It never stops.

I suppose it's a bit anal but it helps me to have the books in reading order and sometimes a book's author was written one way and sometimes another, so I'm just trying to make it consistent.

I am just as anal. What works for me is last name author, comma, one initial. And for the title, in series I start with [abbrev of series + order numer]. Works like a charm.
I know - that worked for some of the books you sent me but I ended up with, for example, the Mercy T books in one place and the Alpha Omega's somewhere else. So now all of Patricia Briggs are together.
And the Dark Hunter books ended up all over the place - because of the anthologies and short stories.
yeah, that is because your iTunes sorts differently from calibre. For me, they are sorted perfectly this way, by author and then by series. The short stories and anthologies are in their right places too.
I correct the metadata as well, but for some reason, some things don't come through as they should.
That's right. I could sort manually - but that's a lot of books. It sorts by title and author automatically. I had the time, so I'm sorting out the problems.
There's no explaining it. I'm just working on a series of 5 books by Tana French, which I bought. Calibre has converted 4 with no problem - the fifth is being awkward!
So very happy that hubby is so computer literate! I couldn't have done it without him.
that is so odd, isn't it? I got them too, so if you want to try another version, let me know. What always puzzles me is the cover. I put in the right cover into the meta data. Then, in my reader, it shows the old cover in the lists, but uses the right cover once I start reading it. No explaining it.

I love soup and stews. In the freezer I have butter bean soup, lentil soup. red lentil curry and a vegetable curry.

then just use regular curry and not too much. I use a combo of regular and the madras curry which is hotter
