Ok snack time, cheese and apple slices anyone? Brb
yum!
cheese and apples?
(I'm not planning to open the fridge again today)
:) like eating cheese on apple pie
what?
is that a mid-west thing?
Some Hoosiers put a slice of cheese on apple pie.. I think so.
cheese on apple pie?
oh weird
Cheddar cheese.
I prefer ice cream lol. Surprised you have never heard of that.
never heard of that
fireworks
I just like the pie on its own
yay dee
nice grid huh?
I have tasted it, not bad, actually.
Yes.
I do love apple pie though
my SIL makes me one every once in a while and man are they good
It is one of my hubby's favorites. We are close to fabulous Michigan apples.
Very cool. How have you been, ru?
yeah.. that's the most important thing.. other than not too much sugar
Definitely.
My grandmother used to make a tart apple crisp that was amazing.
I'm great.. my house passed inspections so we'll be increasing the deposit if the appraiser values the house at what I'm paying for it
I Like apple anything
Fantastic! Glad to hear you have found one you like.
I love this house
it's perfect for my old age :D
One story, like ours?
one story.. 3 bedrooms 3 baths vineyard view, nicely remodeled
Excellent! Nice kitchen?
smallish kitchen.. but nicely laid out. and bright
You should try apples and cheese Ru, a nice apple like a granny smith and good sharp cheddar very tasty
big living room and large family room
I will try that meliae.. I haven't ever considered combining the two
That is my fave, too, mel.
Nice for entertaining, then.
yep.. and I'm putting in a small swimming pool
I like them with Brie too but cheddar is my favorite
I wish we had done that. Probably won't be able to convince my hubby now.
Sounds very lovely Ru
brie is really fattening though. I avoid the double cream cheeses
I like pineapple preserves with Brie, along with champagne crackers :)
it's not that expensive dee.. I was really surprised
Same here Ru
I have to lose more weight. I've been kind of stuck
My real estate agent wants to introduce me to a friend of hers :D
We went the hot tub route, now I wish we had a pool instead (for no-impact exercise for me)
LOL... sells houses + a matchmaker - nice combo
yes.. me too dee. just to stretch out my back from driving
it was pretty funny today
Exactly.
With our weather here, they are a lot of work, so hubby wasn't / isn't keen on the idea.
I'm only making a 4 foot to 6 foot deep pool.
we have to have them here it get so damn hot
Sounds like the pool we saw in the Outer Banks. They were perfect.
Make sure she is a logophille Ru!
what's a logophile?
Good advice, mel.
Not telling lol
she's a Pilates teacher and about 52 or 53
Ru, aren't you in Napa? It doesn't get THAT hot there...I'm over in the foothills, now that's where it gets HOT! We go to Sonoma to cool off!
supposed to be cute
I'm in napa and it get's plenty hot here
where in the foothills kama?
Calaveras County
gets that is
oh yeah.. it gets really hot out your way.. are you near Angel's Camp?
I have an acquaintance out that way
Glad you found a nice house! It's so expensive over there... Yes, I'm about 25 miles north of Angels
Make sure she also knows you play games with women from all over the world as well, lol
oh. .lol meliae
Lol, Mel!
LOL, mel!
in my dreams :D
Well, I am off til the flip. Need to take a flexeril tonight and try to get rid of some pain and muscle spasms. Hope you all have a lovely night / day! *Poofing with hugs!*
night dee.. take care
Well isnt that ironic, se 8 is entangled with se 5
You, too, and congrats on the house!
thanks a lot dee. I'm really excited
Nini Dee ((hugs))
Is it move in ready Ru?
yep.. pretty much turn key
Very nice.
just some landscaping and spiffing up the garage and laundry area and planting some fruit trees
Do blueberries do well down there? I am putting in 5 more bushes, such low maintenance and I love blueberries
might be too hot here for those
we do have blackberries everywhere
Sounds great! I know you've been looking for a while. Don't over-pay! Real estate in that area is insane, and my father in law owns quite a bit...he has good tenants that he doesn't want to lose
But he needs a place where he can have a live-in caretaker now...
Blueberries might do well too. It gets in the 100's here and mine do ok
I didn't .. I can afford what I bought. I didn't go overboard. I had to put the hammer down on this property
All of our blackberries burned in the Butte Fire... boo hoo, no blackberry pie this year
oh.. that's too bad
that was a really horrible fire
They may come back Kam if it was mostly a burn over
I can't get my alkaline soil peated up enough to grow blueberries, but I try every few years...love 'em
Yep, that and the Valley Fire...both nasty. The Valley fire area was more populated, so got more attention...we still have people living in tents, and snow level is supposed to hit 1500 feet tomorrow...I feel so badly for them
I'm planting a peach, Apricot, and santa rosa plum tree .. probably an apple tree too.. need to do some research on the best varieties
No, our property was fried - melted glass and metal.
wow
The best apple flavor is Arkansas Black
did you house go up too?
How does kiwi do down there?
Hubby's house did, fortunately we were living in my house
Arkansas black. I'll remember that
But over half of his stuff was still in his house...it sucks
kiwis can grow here
oh.. that would be awful to lose possessions like that
You know you need a male and female plant to get fruit, right?
yes..
Yes I have them growing over my back porch :)
one of my wineries has an arbor that the kiwis grow on
Yes, he's still suffering the losses, and his dad won't even talk about it - he bought the properties way back in the 50s...family history just went poof...it's so sad, especially the grandmother oak. We won't know till spring if she'll make it back or not...at least 300 years old
oh.. I'm sorry kama.. that's really sad
So terrible Kam.
I like kiwis, but I think it's too hot here. I keep losing fruit trees, but we have horrid clay soil.
I used to go up there years ago when I sold the Stevenot wines
Yep, the fire was horrible, and the road is washed out now too.
YOU sold Stevenot?!!!!
interesting area.. especially Murphys
yes.. years ago
Oh, wines, not the winery. Yep, Murphys is a cool place
Oh look into an Asian Pear Ru, very yummy and not like a regular pear at all.
I like them in salads meliae
Ironstone is the big winery now. They have decent zin, but the old vine zins from the Lodi area can't be beat IMO
but they aren't really fresh when they get here from where they are grown
As do I another fruit I like with cheese
zins are getting expensive here in Napa
I wish I sold Stevenot winery.. I wouldn't have to work anymore :D
Good zins are always expensive. I have to conserve finances so have gone pinot or shiraz...
Really! I mis-read what you wrote, lol!
I love shiraz .. especially from Australia
my favorite is about $49 bucks though.. I have others I like for a lot less
Oh Ru I forgot to tell you! Day 8 of no smoking!!
oh yay mel.. congrats
it's so hard to quit.. I hope you keep it up
I'm proud of you
it's the best thing you've ever done (quitting)
Australian shiraz is the best I've had. I have to stick to the less expensive stuff though.. Trader's has an Italian zin that I can't even remember the name...but it's good!
Congrats Mel!
I like the Rosemount Shiraz wines.. they're reasonable and very inexpensive.
I even thought the Yellow Tail Shiraz was ok too and that is really cheap
YAY!!! I use the e-cigs, at least I'm not inhaling smoke...and half of the 'scare' type reports are bunk, I've done my research, and I'm much better off without tobacco. Hang in Mel!
Thank you I am sure this time I have it whipped I did it with no patches or drugs. And tapered down slowly until I realized I was down to 2 ciggs a day. I just thought why even bother lol
Rosemount is good, and affordable!
yeah.. we can get them here for $10.. and it's a nice bottle of wine for that price
The Yellow Tail Pinot is better than the Shiraz - that's what I had tonight
I miss drinking wine :(
ah.. (sorry)
I had a nice menetou Salon tonight
with a shrimp salad and grilled chicken YUM
yum is right!
Hopefully soon I can add it back, but right now I am on a really sketchy diet trying to get this autoimmune junk figured out.
I hope you keep off of them Mel.. that's really great news
oh..
I'm trying hard to eat lighter meals
Absolutely no refined foods of any type, cooking totally from scratch etc.
that's what I do
I hope you get it figured out Mel, it sucks. There's a group on FB called Foods for Fibromyalgia that has so many good diet ideas that work for most autoimmune issues, hit the files section.
I always cook from scratch
My cheat was cookies and crackers the rest I am doing ok with. Oh and croisants :(
oh.. I avoid those
need to move some laundry. .bb in a bit
Yep, no junk. I cut gluten to see what happened, and guess what...when I added it back in I had a major digestive issue. I try to eat clean, but the wine is a downfall...I love a good glass of red!
I have always ate crackers, cheese and fruit with a glass of either goid beer or wine for an evening snack. Cant have it now lol
NIte, ru, nice chatting with you - and glad you found a place you like!
Ok Ru :)
Mel, I've been using the rice/almond crackers - and not too many at a time. I like humus, so I use that, or just eat a few plain to get the "crunch."
I really miss my crackers but other than that I am doing ok. Oh I will have to see if I can have those.
They don't have gluten - which autoimmune issue are you fighting? I just had a long talk with my chiro today...
I have fibromyalgia and a couple skin diseases
He said the chronic fatigue might be a mold problem, which I was wondering about. Was diagnosed with fibro in 87, and CFS in 2002. Then psoriasis hit me
Notalgia paresthetica
And lichen sclerosis on my stomach and back
I hadn't heard of that, so looked it up...I get the same damn thing on about a 2.5 square inch area of my chest - I started treating it with frankincense oil topped with coconut oil and it's going away.
But I hate the itch!!!
I use coconut oil and trimicilone
Yep the itching will make you nuts.
I found that helichrishum helps the psoriasis even though I've never seen it recommended anywhere - but it's so darn expensive! Coconut oil is my savior for dry itchy skin - this time of year is so bad when we're inside because it's cold outside!
I should buy stock in a coconut oil company I literaaly batge in the stuff, lol
Bathe*
I got my last jar at Trader Joes and it smells like coconut, which I hate! So I melted it and added a few essential oils to mask the smell. The other bottles I had were processed so they didn't have an odor, but were still labeled organic...need to research more. Yep, I slathered myself with it after I got out of the shower last night!
I buy pure organic it has no smell
Mine is labeled organic virgin oil - maybe virgin means it still smells like coconut? Like I said, more research...but it works well in the kitchen!
I'm eating hummus right now & using hydrocortisone as moisturizer on my arms & legs - so dry, my doc says I scratched off a few layers of skin.
Smell of too much coconut makes me nauseous, but good tip.
Sorry, didn't mean to barge in on your conversation :)
I added more fat to my diet to try to help the dry skin - I'm like a freaking dandruff machine! I use a dry brush and have to sweep the floor after! You didn't barge in, this is a public chat!
Be careful with cortsone it can actually damage your skin.
Really!
Kam, do you do sugar scrubs?
Yeah Kam, I used to chat on here tons, now just 'lurk.' :)
Doc told me not to use the trimicilone on my face too often. That was the last time I saw him...he wrote the scrip and didn't tell me that, but I'm scared of cortisoids
I use salt
mel - Haven't used it in years, but aloe, then vasoline didn't work, every moisturizer I have was a gift given to me & all are scented - which I don't like.
Smelly additives are just bad.
Yes it can be very bad for you so use it sparringly
Eucerine lotion rocks
Ack use sugar not salt Kam
I have a salt scrub with essential oils that I love, but it is such a mess to clean up the tub after I shower! I use Lush's African Paradise after I scrub up, then lightly rinse, and my skin wasn't too bad last night.
alt drys skin, why would you use salt?
*Salt*
Fragrance free, skin calming Eucerine, I love the stuff
I use pure coconut oil and sugar no mess to clean up at all.
Oh, I didn't know it dried - it's a good exfoliant, and I thought it was supposed to help. I haven't used it in a couple of months though cuz of the mess it makes (from all of the oils)
Mel - use in the shower? I don't have sugar in the house...
So I just googled Eucerine - there's so many types, which do you recommend?
Yep mix the sugar with it and put on your wash cloth and wash with it where you are dry and itchy.
I don't own any sugar either :)
mel - what would you recommend besides coconut oil? Too powerful a smell for me.
Mine is a big white tube and the exact wording is, skin calming, daily moisturizing cream, with natural oatmeal and rich moisturizers. Fragrance free
The Eucerine that is
Thanks mel :)
Does Walgreens carry it?
Yes I am pretty sure that is where I bought mine, there or Rite-aid
As for the coconut oil mine does not smell let me go see what brand it is.
Oatmeal is a great exfoliant - I'm going to give it a try. No Rite-aid around here.
You can't smell it? My derm gave me a sample of face soap and I ended up throwing it away - I think it was Eucerin - I couldn't stand the smell it had. Now, oatmeal I have in the house! Hubby loves it, maybe I'll give that a shot!
Ok my coconut oil is, 100% pure coconot oil brand name is louana non hydrogenated non gmo
Yeah, I won't purchase anything like this unless I can take a whiff first.
My Eucerines are all fragrance free
Helen, just google organic coconut oil without odor - that should give you a lot of choices. Just know that the Trader Joe's brand smells like coconut...
I play the vi4 and vi6
mel - Walgreens also for coconut oil?
Hi dc :)
So do I!
Walmart iswhere I get mine
hello, kamanjah, HK, mel, ete al :)
Seain is such a show-off :)
Hello Dc :)
Ugh, won't step into a Walmart - they disgust me, at least the ones around here.
good morning all
Do you really own an old fashioned vi4, DC?
morning, sprite
Try any food store
Hiya sprite :)
Albertsons safeways
hey helen! Long time no see. How have you been?
i like Safeway. There's one a few blocks from where i live.
hi seain
Sprite - up & down, mostly down, so not much chatting - but very good to 'see' you again :)
Louana.com or can call 1-800-379-1041 to find a store by you
i know someone with Virginia license plate VO4
and vice versa, helen. Sorry to hear you are traveling such a bumpy road. I hope things will be more up than down for you from now on!
For the oil Helen
No Safeway or Albertsons around here either - makes me wonder do I really live in a large city?
Hello Sprite ((hugs))
Kroger should have it.
Thank you Sprite & right back at you!
hi mel! *hugs*
or Stop & Shop or Fred Meyer
Dang, Kroger's long gone from this area also.
ugh luminol is a brand name, apparently
Did you see the website and phone number Helen?
Brb
Thanks for all the info mel - you're a fount of knowledge.
then hit up Jewel :)
Seain - none of those either - wow!
Bingo - we have Jewels here!
mu8 and mu8 of people all over the world. LOL
Hi and hugs, Sprite. Hi all.
Just emailed a reply to you, sprite.
ok, checking...
Hello Liz, and you are very welcome Helen.
Hi mel
Very tired, nice to see you all - old friends & new :)
niters everyone :)
Sleep well, Helen
Good night Helen, sweet dreams
nite, helen, nice chatting with you!
sleep well, helen, sorry I was afk
back at you, Liz :)
Just read it thanks - OK. At some point, let me know when you're not too busy and I'll let you know the books. There are quite a few of them - making up sets :(
darling, just send me the list. It is really no problem. Checking, once you know the system, is a matter of seconds. And I am happy to be able to be of assistance.
That's wonderful of you. I'll put it together over the next few days - McCaffreys and Kellermans are the ones that spring to mind.
But I have some of those as ebooks, so it's filling the the very vast gaps!
all good! Put it all in the list, and I will see what I can do.
How are you today?
Ugh been looking for my lasy 'i' word for a good 5 minutes and there it was twisting its way across the grid
better. I allowed myself a day of moping and lazing about yesterday and I slept a little better too, so things are turning around again emotionally. Thanks for asking :)
yayyyy mel! You beat the bugger!
Happy to hear that. Have you got another easy-ish day today?
Hubby knows the news site you've mentioned, Sprite.
um... right. Let me send you another email, hold on. As for today: work shift this afternoon, and I have to go by bicycle, so that is pretty intensive. Also, officially I must cook and shop, but I think I will ask my beloved to do that for me. And the garage will come and get the old car.
lude
oops!
Sorry about that!
lu4n's is a brand of cough drop here
Thanks Sprite - shows what I know. Yes, he does know! He's used the site before.
Hi DC
just send me the list anyway, Liz, I'll gladly look for you :)
Will do - and thanks again.
my pleasure. And yay, texted my beloved and he will shop and cook today. He is the best.
Did you find a car yesterday?
That's brilliant.
yes we did. Got an address from our old garage and that panned out, thank God. Even allowed us to pay in two installments. Just hate the idea that our small reserve is gone again.
That's frustrating but like you said, you need a working car. So, I'm glad you found one.
Almost time for dinner here, so hugs, Sprite. Hugs to Rose if you see here or speak / write to her. Hope your day is the easiest possible.
{{hugs}} to my two fave girls in the world. my tummy full, it's pasta and pizza night for us. yum, yum, yum
me too. It should be ready this afternoon or tomorrow. Can't wait. I hope it will be dry when I have to ride the bicycle to work this afternoon, lol. So sad to sit there with wet legs.
LOL - hope you just read what I wrote!
Hugs, Rose
*hugs rose* Hello darling! Good to see you had a lovely dinner. How was the rest of your day?
no i didn't. i want you to write again... lolll
Roast chicken for us - Friday night usual dinner.
Very traditional
HUGS, HUGS AND MORE HUGS. Really need to go now.
*hugs Liz* Have a lovely evening, and enjoy your dinner.
And thanks, again, Sprite.
any time. Don't worry about it!
doc (gp) appointment this morning. my new cholesterol drug has brought my levels right down. kidney and liver functions all good. that's the good news.
yay for that good news. What is the bad?
i have two cysts in my thyroid over 1" in diameter. they need to be biopsied. haemolglobin starting to climb again so we are re-testing in 6 months time.
oh darling :( Just what you don't need. *hugs*
thyroid also slightly enlarged
hmz :( Not good.
might explain some things. like why i put weight on when i usually only eat enough to keep a mouse alive...loll
how frustrating, rose. It is one thing after another for you :(
it's not going to get me down sprite. not being validated gets me down the most. like when workcover decided i had to find another job.
oh I know! That really sucks the life right out of one. I remember being in a trainings program to try and improve my functioning with my disabilities... with the pelvic instability and all... and the psychologist claiming I could even do wall climbing again if I wanted to.
how silly was that!!!
ikr! Same as with you finding another job. It is so far removed from your actual abilities that it is like a whole other universe. And then from people who should know better. I remember very well how that brought me down.
was your night any better sweetie?
yeah, quieter dreaming and not as horrible. I feel better, emotionally. Allowed myself an off-day yesterday and it helped.
good darling. i am glad it has paid off. is today going to be busy?
have to work this afternoon. And go there by bicycle. But I just asked my love to do the shopping and cooking and he will, so that helps a lot.
yay. please give him a hug from me. what a darling man he is!!
he really is. Always has my back. Will do! He loves hugs, hehehe.
hmmm, maybe hold off until you are both quite alone??
lolllll no, not for a hug. We hug in front of the kids, no problem. Anything more though... yeah, that will have to wait!
no kids here although our elderly neighbour has a bad habit of turning up unexpectedly. one day she is going to get an eyeful... lolll
good morning.
whoot!! {{hugs}} darling ruby
hi ruby! *hugs* and warm greetings... it is COLD, isn't it?
bad day yesterday; I finally broke down, although I guess it was inevitable
in front of a stranger, the lady from social services
yeah, that was about to happen, darling. Good thing it did too. Just wish I could have been there for you.
*gentle cuddle for ruby* it's hard to work through my love. you have been so brave.
'bound' to happen, not about... sigh, sorry
and my fall on Wed left me sore all over but, fortunately nothing broke
sorry you are hurting inside and out. It is a tough time for you.
the only good things are John, who is back in regular and caring touch and my first 'trabsfered) oncologist is coming in march.
to work, I guess, but also to visit me, as a friend!
yay for John. About freakin' time he got his head out of his arse, if you ask me. What is oncologist thing exactly?
good for john. and i am guessing you would really like to see your old oncologist again.
She was the one who gave me the initial bad news in July when John ws here. I only saw her one other time before she was involuntarily transfered, but we really clicked. Previously, she served with Doctors Without Borders in Afghanistan and she,s very smart and interesting
oh she sounds great! Glad you get to meet up with her again.
And John, with the Dan Eaton Band, released a new album, Another Storm. He isn't the lead, but he plays guitar, mandolin, bass (the magic of laying tracks on top of tracks° and sang, as well as having produced it
He also was offered a new job (amazing!) in Orlando, so they'll py him to commute 3 weeks/month
wow not bad!
I am very forunate in so many ways, but i miss the old Burt!
It was a grand love affair, but started petering out in 2009
Now if I can just pull myself togethr and complete the mountains of paperwork, I can start to breathe again
Enough from me, thank you for "listening"
ruby, it is so very true that you lost Burt in many ways long before he died. You have been grieving his loss for quite a while, in that respect. And his dying just brings that up again too. You are a truly courageous woman.
and ughhhh the paperwork... always a killer and with the irs involved it is always even more stressful.
the guys from the IRS called me on Wed and said he needs most of it translated and/or summarized
yeah you said so yesterday. I truly think you should let them know that you cannot possibly do that. And remind them of the fact you just lost your husband!
he gave me another month
it's hard to imagine that they continue with my case
fireflies. Last word the male seed... not in my normal state of mind, apparently, grin
another month? Is he out of his freaking mind??
WTG SPRITE!!!
I must be off, alas. A big *hug* to both of you, and take care.
{{hugs}} dear. enjoy your day. xoxox
clue for the 9 please.
anyone there?
Good morning all.
hi sukee. any clues or did you just start?
Nope, just starting.
morning, all -- just starting here too :-)
Hi une.
super. th.
Ah, lovies should be there :)
:-)
have 90 words -- 57 are 4-letter LOL
anyone have the 9 yet? i dont have any 8s yet either. good you got to 90 already une.
The longest one I have is 6 letters
me too, sukee
ok. i have 4 of the 7s hear. just add three letter ending to some 4s.
aahh, tx -- got li7
TY, I think I know which 3 letter ending you mean :)
And I now have 2 7s
i dont have the li 7. looking. ty
the guys who run after the tennis balls during a match
ooohhh, no-- that's the li8 -- have a big word! woohoo! LOL
li7 is same word minus the "s"
ty uni. that is not the 3 letter ending i was referring to. there is another one: a plural.
Got it
ok, will look for other 3-letter ending
My two kitties are lying on the couch washing and biting each other :)
:-)
so i must find the li 8 now. i have the 7. are they similar?
my two dogs that sleep with me every nite are sound asleep under the covers :-)
The cats still do not get to sleep in the bedroom )
li8 is exactly the same but add the plural letter before the male ending
ty got it.
cool!
i could use any clues for the o top right. ty.
need that one too
nm found both.
add o to the de words. one is a plural of other. so a 5 and 5.
tx
did you get them une?
yep :-)
neso
oops. sorry.
not a word anyway.
trying to get n words for last column n. so far none.
Yep, I tried it anyway :)
I don't have any either
same here LOL
One ends like the od word
tx molly and hi :-)
ooh, got one, NE 4/6
and plural
looking ty.
And ty Molly, that gave me the od.
finally found another 7-- do7 -- lace items your grandmother put on chair arms :-)
TY :)
yw :-)
that is the other ending of 3 letters une.
My mother liked those too.
i have two in use now. my grandmother crochetted them.
cool!
still not seeing the n words for n last column. ends like the od?
Also, ending of Ad Naus***
yes -- ne + T**s -- you take these pills for indigestion
to got two of them. ty.
anyone get the u word for top row u? i dont have that one.
also still need the 9 which i know will be a plural.
Nope, don't have a single U word.
ok. i have other one.
no u words yet . . . sigh
looked back at early chat -- the 9 is il9
looks like word meaning "lights up"
need to take pups out to pee, feed them, and give meds -- back in a bit :-)
I got it! TY\
hello
Hi Ruby.
After a week of holding it together, I finally went to pièces on Wed. but I guess it was inevitable
It has to come out sooner or later.
I think I was holding it all and it took the presence of a stranger, a lady from social services, for me to lose it.
Hopefully, today will be better....
You were trying to be strong for everyone.
I'm off for a bit to have some breakfast. Take care.
bye sukee

Hi Scrabs, car
Arf, arf. How are the dogs?
Great as usual, how are the bunnies and the great nephews?
I just trimmed Remy's nails so that task is done. The greatnephews have been ill all week with coughs. Ryder had bad croup on Sunday and Monday and is improving.
i hate g's
It's always something with kids. My daughter had toxic synovitis when she was in grade school and my son had an infection in his thumb from sucking it

in this case my vote would be g's since I have all but 2 of the v's and still need 6 g's
Phew.

I love my smart TV. I can use Blu Ray to watch things
5th column top o stats please?
PHANTOM enemies
od 5/16, 6/27
The recommendation is to get a "dumb" TV and then get Roku and/or Amazon Fire Stick. Smart TVs "age" out quickly, in terms of computer software.
true you do have to upgrade your computers at times

Add the higher valued vowel to those ne words.

judi help with that N please?
ruru I don't understand that clue?
Ah. Just need add that letter in the middle. Ty, RU.
look up glen Campbell's greatest hits mlf.
Ne4, 5x 2 & 6: all sound something like Seinfeld's hated neigbor - the postal worker.

judi just found nu 5/14 from the other n
I have the li7 which is similar to the title of one of Glen Campell's songs
add a plural mlf

Hubby brought me a milkshake last night. That finally made my throat feel better.

tea with honey helps too
1/2 choco, 1/2 vanilla.
the go to tea for soar throats
Oddly enough, I don't have any honey in the house, Blah. Tried maple syrup. Not the same.

Li7/40?
past tense
Name that proper noun: Teenage hispanic boy band.
past tense of what?
judi I was never really a fan of that band
Judi likes boy bands ..
apparently lol
Me neither, MLF. Just couldn't help noticing it's in the grid.
I noticed it was in the grid too
Boy bands = ick.
*puts on one direction for Judi*
*runs screaming from room*
oh god they are so overrated
I like watching "Donnie Loves Jenny". However, whenever Donnie is on tour with "New Kids on The Block" I just cringe. They rocked it when they were teenagers. Now they are in their 50s. Hang. It. Up.
judi problem is they still think they can rock it
It's just sad, really. So are the fans who still cling. Yeech.
scary isn't it?
then again we still do have "metal heads"
I think Donnie still does it because his band mates have no other source of income.
Or talent, for that matter.
that's why has beens do reality tv

dutch word.... but no menudo accepted ; )
Ah, I see Penquis has gotten over her aversion to the endless nonsensical words.
well i had time to go through the list once....was curious about the words i could not find....
i made up some words and they were accepted....i was lucky... ;o)
thankyou for li7, new word for me
I think it's a new word for anyone, unless you are a person who ardently studies crabs.
not ardently :)
not ever...
just kidding, per my scrabble dictionary the li7 is a horseshoe crab
I am a dilatant in crab studies :-)
heading out....goodnight all...
hagn penq
Hmm, wondering if that was dilettante or dilatant
Meant dilettante of course Molly. I have been pretty sick and just happy I can put any words together :-)
The delirium seems to be subsiding some though.
Oh, sick and delirium..
Not my favorite things ... fever is now below 101 though
Good Evening Everyone. How are you tonight?
You've been sick, origami? Flu or ???
delirious .. how are you Nef?
I think I have a secondary infection of some sort :-(
doing good. :-)
Trying to stay out of trouble ;-)
Why?
:-D
I had my knee replaced back in November & am finally feeling good enough to do Something (just not kneel )
Oh, that
Rather, oh, that's right. glad you are feeling better.
I'm concerned about your temp being high & delirious; are you really okay?
I'm OK really. I have some nice chicken soup, hot tea, and a heating pad now. Just a little fuzzy, not really delirious. and someone is here with me.
TY Nef
Thanks. Here I thought I scared you off by being my nosy self!
No way.
I'm a retired nurse and am concerned about people's health when they say something out of the ordinary

Hi peri
This has been a horrible fall/winter for me. One nasty thing after another. Getting older ain't for sissies.
hi Nef
HI peri

Thank you helensgirlkid
I kept wanting to find an oul or oud, but alas.
Get in line with the rest of us
Enjoy the grandson even before he falls asleep - well, of course you will, but . . .
The line of people wanting to find an oul or an oud, that is.
He just got here; so I'll be back later I guess

fw.. off I go, Happy Babbling!
evening folks. :)
*whispers.... "Dumbledore dies...." and relurks*
LMAO!!!!!
LOL gotcha! ;-) LOVE your kiddo -- I hope someday I get to meet him. One of my students is reading two of the HP books simultaneously so he can catch up with a friend!
How do you read two at once???
Why not just plow through them sequentially?
He has one in his desk at school, and one at home!
Ohhhh! Daniel's been dragging the hardcovers back and forth in his backpack.
My student is on the petite side, so for him it makes sense to not ferry books back and forth. (nonsequitur) How goeth the weaving?
I suckered.....err....showed a friend from work Babble tonight. She loves word games. She's finishing up report cards, but hopefully she'll be able to make it here later! Mine are all done. *skips and dances around the room*
It stalleth for the moment. One project on the small loom, big loom is intimidating me so I haven't warped it up yet!
woo-hoo! Mi4 are distributed, so I am taking tonight off...
(do weavers have warped personalities?)
Woof!
wefted ones
I have to plan lessons, and we are only a couple months away from the first tests, so we are starting to really try to make sure the kids have enough experience with the tests, but we also have to actually teach the content... and and and. *sigh* I don't have any big projects at the moment.
DOUGLAS! :-D *bounce bounce* and dan! *scatters choclits willy-nilly*
Lol, hi guys!
feather & stid!
& Douglas
I've always had a warped personality. Weaving is just a by-product!
I just got through the mess of January assessments and budget orders and report cards. First night in a while I haven't felt like I had something looming (ha!) over me. (Didn't mean that one, just sorta happened!)
Ah Report cards....I feel that pain ;)
Hi Sara!!!!!!! Friends, meet Sara. Sara, meet friends.
I've got a grand total of 6 words entered so far, been too busy chatting.
*grin* had to happen sometime, I suppose... I did some assessments at the end of last week to be sure the grades reflected current knowledge. But of course some kids are always absent, so their grades had to wait, .... yep. oooh. SARA!!! LOVE that name!
WELCOME!!! *scatters more choclits in Sara's honor*
wow, I hadn't looked but already down to 64. Of course, my laptop is going to die in the next fifteen minutes.
:) I had a great 'over a beer' introductory course!
go stidmama go
I was just thinking mine's going to overheat soon, the way I'm sitting on the couch with the blanket. Probably right in the middle of the 9 letter word too.
lions
lol, wrong box. ;)
the 9 letter word? LOL SARA use the "Add Word" box under the grid
woops - wrong entry! I guess that 'over the beer' course wasn't so great!
well, it was on a tiny phone screen!
oh! I stumbled across the 9-letter one by accident earlier.
I haven't moved past the top row yet.
Sara, there are lots of different ways people play. Some play every day to complete every grid. Some pop in, do just over half, and call it enough. Some disappear for months (me) then come back to a lovely welcome home party, then disappear again. I used to do every single grid....then I had kids and they kinda slowed me down! This whole needing eye contact with mom thing, ya know.
I am still trying to get NBT though -- that O in the top right (not asking for clues yet!) is eluding me tonight.
(NBT= no blank tiles....at least one word from every tile)
I used to finish all the grids and then I became a teacher and entered seasonal hermitage like feather....
going to dig into the grid for a bit. give me a holler if you need anything!
Thanks - I'm already addicted...much to my husbands disgust!
she's one of "us" stid!!!!
and feel free to ask for help, Sara -- a quick shorthand we use is to give the first two letters of a word, then a number/number with the first number how many letters in the word and the second number the total points the word earns. 4-letter words are just the tile points, 5-letter words are double, 6-letter triple, and so on.
YAY! Always good to have a new babbleholic on board!
your husband might enjoy the sudoku puzzles on the sister site... my Tom does those sometimes.
Oh, and the Babble dictionary is weird. Some words are accepted, some aren't. You'll learn a TON of great new 4 letter words for Scrabble through this though! Like toea, etna, etc.
naoi...
That's the one! I knew there was another vowel heavy one, but coul dn't place it.
etui, nene
oops
hey, thanks!

firewords1 tx stid & molly & lickety & all cluers. li7/40 that rhymes with economic sti8 was my last
congrats dan!
ty for the li7
yw - off I go
night
Oh, Sara, when you finish a grid, you'll see fireworks on the grid display! That's why Dan said "firewords".
ahhh... i doubt, at this rate, ill finish! Maybe some day!!! :)
to finish faster, lots of people use Lickety's clue list. link is down below, bottom left of the page, under "Friends of Babble".
I've not opened it up yet, still slogging through my first pass.
yeah, i'm a glutton for punishment.... I will slog it out!
:)
woo hoo, exactly halfway through!
getting the list, don't want to stay up too late!
on second though, going to call it quits here. have a few other things to catch up on before bed, and it's getting late. Night all!
Goodnight - my battery is almost dead....thanks for hooking me up with this! Have a great weekend!
Welcome! Night!
Hi again. My grandson is now asleep; and I can hope to try getting more than half way.
Hi Feather! I haven't seen you for a Long Time!
Oh, darn; I missed her
