but I solved the problem by calling them and asking for new papers. What's a bit of ego-loss compared to even more hours of searching, right?

I hate it when machines do something I didn't tell them to. And windows update is evil. It doesn't kindly ask me: "I want to reboot now. Yes or no?" It simply closes whatever you are working on and just goes right ahead.

He didn't say. He did suggest trying the Diabetes Association diet which is heart healthy. I guess we will see in a year. I'm sure my doctor will send me for the same test again then. It would be nice to stop the meds because they give me indigestion. Probably going to have to start taking something for that :)

I'm on a low carb diet because of diabetes. The carbs I eat are whole grain
Just looked at a diet that said you should have one starch each meal, including potatoes, whole grain breads or noodles.
bichon, we follow Banting - low carb, high fat. Has had amazing results with diabetics. I haven't had carbs or sugar since September and have never felt healthier. Starch is poison, not natural to the human digestive system :)
potatoes are bad on a diabetic diet. I have to eat unrefined carbs which prevnt constipation
Well, since I am not a diabetic, I guess it might affect me differently.

Before I started I was convinced I'd simply EXPIRE if I couldn't eat bread, but actually it hardly seems to matter. The high fat food keeps you full so you end up eating a helluva lot less. I've lost a lot of weight and gone down 2 dress sizes.

Our doctor actually CALLED US to come in today to talk about Vicki's blood sugar levels. Not looking forward to this. The doctors never call us unless there is nasty stuff coming our way :(
