Since I developed mobility problems I'm not a fan of snow :)
heck no, me neither. I once made a very bad fall in the snow, and had to crawl back inside the house and call in sick at work. Snow is overrated, once you have mobility problems.
At least, spring is on the way. February is almost half over and Easter is coming :)
we had a lovely day yesterday. It was freezing a little bit, the sun was out and almost no wind.
I fell on the way into work once, I had to crawl to a bench and pull myself up. After sitting there and trying to get up while cars were driving past.

Well, the parking lot was down a bit of a hill, it's possible they didn't notice.

Anyway, after that day I didn't take the bus where I had to walk a couple of blocks to work. Worked it out that someone who worked there would drive me or I took cabs until I was accepted by the mobility bus service here. Now it's great.
lol I am almost halfway and I don't have anything over 5! That is a record even for me. Jeezz.

Heads up my friends: Microsoft is set to roll out it auto pre-install of Windows 10 this coming week. If you do not wish to be involved with windows 10, i would turn off the auto-update feature and set it to permission only, so you can review each updates as it is suggested.
If it happens again I'd begin to take it personally! Just joking!

the general verdict on 10, sprite, is that it is a fine OS, but a tad too "big brothersih" when it comes to your data being transmitted back and forth to Microsoft.
Doc says she is 'teetering" on the edge of needing medication, so We must be careful
Avoiding medication is the best way, if that's possible.

and I hate the way MS tries to use our data. Is it possible to turn it off in windows 10?

I found that word easily. I just used more words for 2 of the ae words - I'd never have found them.

8 and 8.1 were a train wreck for all intents and purposes. it was not a tablet os, it was not a laptop or tower os. it tried to please too many platforms and failed.

see, I just checked mine. says I have 37 "important" updates and 75!! "optional" updates.
yeah I used to have it turned on notification only when I had XP. Kind of lazily left it on automatic when getting a legal version of win7.
lolllll that is bad. Can't see the trees for the forest with that many updates.
it is laid out well, I can check or uncheck the boxes and install only what I wish
good. I am certain I will find out next wednesday, lol
the 37 were all security updates and a single malicious software removal tool, so those got clearance ;)
