Just felt really lethargic yesterday. It was a weird week - funeral of a friend, even though he was much older. Still shook us up a bit.
I spoke with ruby a few days back and she wasn't doing well. She needs our ongoing support for sure.
I think it's finally hit her.
oh, you poor love. yes it does shake you up. even when it is a friend. maybe more so i guess. you can choose your friends, you can't choose your family.
not weird at all that you felt down and out, Liz. As you say, it was quite the week and losing a friend is never easy, no matter the age.
I saw that she's got to have some radio-therapy.
I guess, though we've been to other funerals since we've been here, this was the first one where the death was actually a friend of ours. A lovely man - a real gentleman and a gentle man.
yes they have decided on how to continue to treat the cancer. I think being in mourning and battling cancer and having to jump through hoops for the tax office would be too much for any of us. It is a tough battle.

Having specialised in teaching English, albeit at primary level, it's difficult for me not to conform to grammar and spelling rules. If I do type without caps, or spell incorrectly, it's usually a mistake!

We have new rules and regs regarding cable coming into effect March 1st, but it is too little, too late. The CRTC is forcing the cable giants to offer a flat 25 dollar 'skinny basic" pack, then we can "cherry pick" single channels afterwards for a price per channel yet to be determined.
I bet it will not be cheap for the Discovery channel :(

my brother used a 39 in which his enter fit.they don't seem to hold much larger than that, but his living room is small.

there was a great furniture store in Concord years ago - very country in style that did gorgeous work. It was not any more expensive to have one built than to buy off the floor.

Though it is all in what you are used to. i remember as a child living up north, and all the winter rituals that would seem odd anywhere else. like removing the battery from the car at night and bringing it inside, putting a blanket over the engine to keep the frost off it, and using a block heater. Having a mud/ snow room where you would broom all the snow off your outside clothes and hang them up in there instead of bringing them inside--otherwise they would be perpetually damp with melting snow/frost. leaving all taps in the house running just the tiniest bit once it went below minus 40 to keep the pipes from freezing up ;)
