Well my gson is lactose intolerant so I am experimenting with ice cream like treats for him.
I love berries! But all of our blackberry bushes burned up in the Butte Fire. I hope enough come back so we can have a harvest in a year or two. There was a bear who lived somewhere in the area who loved to eat them, I hope he/she made it through the fire ok.

I do not mind as such but it gets very tedious when he describes what has happened to him there and then. But he will then Say like the time when I was with Mme (who ever) many years ago or when this happend or when so and so said this and this goes on for over two pages. By the time he gets back to the day he was describing in the first place I have pretty much forgotton what he had described in the first place.

My printer has not worked well since I upgraded to Windows 10. If I have to print out something I have to save it as a graphic or the print is blank.
I like to think I have a handle on technology, but I don't really :)
Thanks for that, su. I've been told not to do that upgrade -- get pop-ups every time I turn on or leave the computer for a few minutes. Printer problems llike that are just one more argument to stay with 8.

Annie, did Bobby get a good report from the urologist?
Scrabbs, was away from keyboard. His kidney is okay but there is a stone in his right kidney (2mm). They are letting it stay there and hopefully it won't move. He has to go for a bunch of blood tests in April and back to the urologist in August. I find this kind of nerve wracking because I worry about him being alone if anything untoward happens.
(On phone with my mother.) 2 mm is tiny, so maybe he can pee it out.
Thanks for reassuring me. I am trying very hard to stay on an even keel.

in my experience, pain is caused by a stone in the ureter, not a stone inthe kidney. hope he gets plenty of good drugs and passes it quick

i have had stones in my kidneys for several months and I feel fine. those stones are the ones that cause problems, usually (of course there are always exceptions)

The herb chanca piedra works to eliminate stones when formed but also to keep them from forming at all. A friend of mine who was plagued by constant stones started taking it and the problem completely went away---no stone formation as long as she took it. Works for gallbladder stones as well. You can get it on Amazon. It has been used in S. America for decades.

I have been getting some home improvements done too, projects which have been long overdue, because I postponed them.

i can redo floors and plaster and paint but not much of a carpenter. . .
and terrified of electricity. . .
and i made all my own curtains. . .
She quit at 50--burned out.
too bad. . . maybe she will find what she needs now. . .
My next big project is flooring--laminate flooring--and I wish I could tackle it myself. But we're talking most of the downstairs, the stairs, a hallway, and my bedroom. Plus the carpeting has to be ripped out first.
of course you can burn out doing good works too. . . .especially . . .

well surely you can do the tearing out. . . I would think you could lay the floor except maybe the stairs. . .
The subfloor has some uneven areas, because the left half of the house was an addition. That flaw must be evened out.
if you wait until after tax season maybe I can come up and help for a while. . . :) sounds like a job better done with friends. . .
