it was. we had beef steak honey-glazed in a black pepper sauce, scallops and vegies with cashews, and pork belly, slow cooked in a very lightly spiced sauce.
mmm pork belly - sadly I like mine with fat on (not good for me I know, but you're a long time dead!!) and sadly I can't manage cashews owing to my dentures (god i'm getting old!!!)

Oh I have denture cream, it's just that I can't wear the bottom set as they hurt too much, so crushing a nut against your gum is out of the question lol. Don't know how I've managed for the last 17 years without nuts as they used to be my favourite snack

No, I've had 3 pairs made since having the operation and none of them have been comfortable. I told my dentist that somebody should come up with dentures that have a thick rubber base instead of hard plastic but he said they wouldn't work. I can't see why not - thick rubber would be much more comfortable. I'm fine with the top set - have had 2 different pairs over 17 years and never even had to wear denture adhesive to keep them in place! So comfortable.

Sure. But growing up within 20 minutes busride of the Yankees, Dodgers and Giants stadiums, thinking the World Series was always held in one or the other of them, it's hard to take the Mets seriously.

On another note --- the youngest Soodle offspring is spending Summer 16 in the States. 8 weeks working at a Summer Camp in New Hampshire - then 5 weeks touring. NYC, LA, Vegas, Nashville, New Orleans.... Oh boy! It would almost be worth being 21 again! :-)

Just found out that 'texted' is not in the dictionary. How funny is that?
Not really funny. Texted is a made up word based on smart phone usage. Way before the Enable word list that has not been updated since the year 2000.
I just think it's funny because it's been a long time since I didn't use that word every day.

Sorry. Got side-tracked. Yes Molly - the younger Soodle has very expensive travel plans. Mitigated somewhat by lengthy bus journeys instead of flights & several Air BnB stopovers. Icant say I envy her....
