How's your hubby doing, Diz?

Liz he is slowly recovering but he gets very frustrated when he can't remember things. And he is bored shitless cos he can't do much
Must be very hard for both of you. Perhaps he should start on babble ;)
Best wishes to him from an unknown (to him) babbler in QLD!
wish he could but his memory is stuffed and he can't recognise a lot of words - takes him forever to read a simple sentence. I have to stand back and bite my tongue - as in not to jump in and help until he asks.
thnx for the wishes. xx
Ah! That part of the memory :( Very difficult
BBL - Enjoy the rest of the day, Diz. Sleep well everyone else.

cooee ivesy. are you doing well tonight?
morning rose, doing good, ty how about you?
going great thanx. still pain free since my february infusion.
great news! good they found something that helps. do you do that every month?
i have it when i need it. now nearly 8 weeks. i am trying to make it to at least 8 weeks. am hoping for 12 weeks.
nice feeling to know something helps i bet.. has your former employer signed off on everything finally?
YES!!!!!! hooray !!!! just another few weeks and i will the money. plus they agree to cover ALL medical costs for the rest of my life. * big happy grin*
oh wow! great news..medical costs are outrageous here, insurance premiums sky high. cant wait til i get medicare..i pay $353 a month and they barely cover anything. lucky i can get my meds.
eek ivesy. how terrible for you.
:( but good for you ! sure it is a relief to have all that nonsense with them over..but too bad pain goes with it
ivesy, i am extremely happy. all i have ever done is told the truth. my ex-employer realised that finally and decided to pay me out before i changed my mind and took them to court. pain... i can take it...it is much more manageable now with the pain doc. in control.
they always look for a way out..doesnt matter how long you worked for them...**stards lol. eventually truth wins over
*giggle* i hear you sweetie. but i was taught patience many years ago. as the eldest of five i learnt long ago to wait my turn. lolll
lol.. came in handy then... as a middle child i learned to fight ...lol
oh yeah... and i bet you did that in spades...
of course... still am ! lol
*giggle*you should see four adult men, six foot and over, when my eyes start to spark and smoke starts to come out of my ears.
lollol they know they went to far...next time record it. make tons of money
Good morning all.

Hi all
Hello
Back for a NY minute, having to look up the poem in my profile
Hi
hi ruby - comment ça va?
ça va bien, cherie
so glad to hear it - has spring arrived there yet
we're still in a cold snap
Here too it's supposed to warm up after Saturday though :)
can't wait
We have snow, expecting rain and flurries.
It's arriving in bits and pièces, but cold and grey again today
All the flowering trees are on the verge and there are tulips, daffs, forsythia, Japanese quince and a white-fluffy-flowered shrub that my grateful birds planted
I love spring here as it lasts a very long time, unlike Binghamton NY, where it lasted about a week and summer about 3 days!
I love forsythia - my neighbor has a full hedge in the backyard - great sight from my window
forsythia is turning green already here
The birds have all put on their dazzling spring plumage and have maany nests in the hedge
do you see robins there - or are French birds different?
light rain now ... 70% chance of snow as the day progresses.
The winter was so peculiar -- very long and grey, not much snow, very little sunshine -- so the forsythia has been in full bloom for much longer than usual
((byz))
Hello, Ruby. Hope you are well and smiling.
Yes, I'm smiling. My sister just called and it was a pleasure. She's funny and very smart and I was writing to her and had to include the Mary Oliver poem that's in my profile
No robins here, but we have red-throats and pinsons which have soft red breasts. Most of the birds are similar, e.g. verdiers look like they are green fiches.
The breakfast room window faces the bird feeder, so I keep my bird book handy to identify any that I can
hello friends
hello Trif
Massachusetts has multiple personality disorder this year. it's quite dispiriting. yesterday it was 19 degrees Fahrenheit. today it's 55.
That's quite a range!
then
the cold killed every. single. one. of the flowering bulbs in my front yard
the question when we're getting ready for school lately is "so we need coats today" and the answer is usually "go outside and check"
sorry
Hi Trif!
sorry trif :(
if you can get them to WEAR coats, you win in my book!
hello car.

Hope to see more of you as you heal. Take care. Got to go now x
It started with thepara thyroid but I had atrial fibrillation which stopped that op dead in its Tracks. Had a stay in a cardiac ward and then went home on dozens of pills including Warfarin. This caused abnormal bleeding so back I went for more tests. They were worse than childbirth incidentally. Found the cells so had op. I still haven't had the thyroidectomy!
Bye, Chrissie, lovely totalk to you.
peri and I are having the same problem
My problem is the grid is too small.
Wrong way to look at it, Byz ... Your words are too big.
My font has the same settings
Ha. Didn't think you were still there. ... It's that the letters are squeezed together in the wrong formation.
Just teasing. If you mean there aren't enough words to make a good game with this grid, I agree.

Good for you, Hego. I'm sure Worzel will agree with me when I say us residents of the British Isles have learned ( the hard way) how to enjoy life in the cold & rain!
Oh I can't agree with you more Soodle. I work outside and this last couple of weeks has been appalling for me. Still, if (and it's always a BIG if) we have a nice summer I shall be in seventh heaven!!

I always think of Ireland as Ireland. Not a "British Isle". I guess that's just me.
It is just that.
I like your motto!
I think there's a lot of people in Northern Ireland that would agree with you Molly. To be honest what the British have done to the Irish in the past appalls me
I shall treasure it.
hello...
the Irish have done a lot to the Irish too
Hi Penq
Well, I guess the Irish have a right to do whatever they want to each other lol but the Brits have no excuses! Mind you, the Brits have always had delusions of grandeur . . .
Hello Penq
Comtemplating human inhumanity is emotionally exhausting.
Or is it inhuman humanity?
and demoralizing.
Good question worzel.
You think. So gather up and go into another area and brutalize others is barbaric
At the least
Geographically speaking, Ireland is part of the British Isles. In this centeniary year of the revolution, I think anybody with an interest in Irish history will acknowledge that that is all it is. Geographical.
true
I think the Romans gave them that name, no?
The Romans called Ireland Hibernia - because of the cold. They weren't wrong.
I've always been fond of the mad Irishman in "Braveheart" who referred to Ireland as "my island". : D
the land of winter. :)
My favourite Irish character was Michael O'Flynn from The Quiet Man played by the marvellous Barry Fitzgerald
loads of stuff on the internet about the 1916 rising.
I alway considered the Irish to be quite fortunate that the Romans had no interest in them.
Worzel - Father Father, From Priest to Patriarch is a book written by an uncle of mine. Tony O Carroll. In it is a description of a meeting with Barry Fitzgerald.
wow small world!!
It's a little island Worzel. ;)
True, Hego!! I read my uncle Tony's book recently. It was a well written account of his life as a priest - but the first couple of chapters deal with his very early years, and refer to my Dad & my great grandma & my grandparents, so it was reLly special to me
Sounds very special. And nice for you to have that.
ac 6/24 anyone?
