Scrabs, you mntioned yesterday about inhaled steroids for asthma. Are you speaking of Advair?
Advair has a steroid plus a long acting bronchodilator.
I use it and my asthma is completely controlled [except when I have dripping sinuses]. My d.i.l. refuses to use it on herself or the kids.
It is a step-up from using a daily inhaled steroid.
The goal is to use the least amount of medication that controls one's asthma well.
She was severely asthmatic as a child and always in the hospital. I think this has clouded her judgement.
But when she was a kid inhaled steroids were not available for kids. They have transformed asthma control for kids.
It's very difficult to convince her of anything. She just relies on Albuterol and qvar.
QVAR is an inhaled steroid, like Flovent and Pulmicort.

That's been the problem all along. She won't listen to my son.

I'm in an unusual situation. My Dad was the eldest of 15. My Mom was the eldest of 12. Both my parents are still alive (thank God) but all belonging to them are dying like flies ....
