Well hello mum! We are both fine (it's only 730am here so she is still asleep) and I am shortly going to be getting ready for work - last day before my week off which, I have to say, I am looking forward to. Haven't spent nearly enough time with Diane thanks to work. How are you and Dad? x
we are both b/well exhausted. thanx for asking. we were manning a table in t5he local shopping centre, trying to sell raffle tickets, from 9am til 3pm. even my eyes are burning... loll
next monday i go in for my infusion. the last one lasted 12 weeks.

first three prizes are a brand new car. we are fund-raising to pay for the play equipment we (at our church) are building. it has security fencing all around so the little ones can play in safety and parents know the kiddies cannot be snatched or run onto a ro4.
well, we aren't building the equipment, but we have built the play area. so far without asking for any financial help. but the equipment is jolly well very expensive.
thanks for the ro 4 lol am having a terrible time with the grids lately every little helps. And your cause is an awesome one I hope you raise the money you need. You obviously have some very generous donors for prizes! I once won a weekend to Paris in a raffle so that was nice - mind you it rained all weekend and my exwife was in a foul mood so that kinda ruined it, but still, at least I can say I've been up the Eiffel Trifle!!

No I didn't see that about M&S. They have had lots of troubled times in the UK over the last 10 to 15 years, financially. They seem to be holding steady at the moment but this week alone the UK has lost two of it's major players on the shopping front - British Home Stores which has been around since the year dot and Austin Reed - a major clothing chain here. I'm not personally a shopper at M&S but I wouldn't wish them ill - too many companies are folding at the moment

When we moved here and in the year before, I had 15 different trees planted, some of which are huge now
I have two trees in my garden that is all the room I have as my garden is rather small. But I am pleased I have them as they also have birds tweeting in them too :-)
All the other gardens on my road does not have any trees at all.
I would love to have enough property to plant 15 trees.
I knew nothing about gardens until I started re**ing about them as this is my first and although there was space here, there was nothing else but a few shrubs and pine trees and a herdge all around

One of the trees is a "seureua" which may be the same thing. It has white flowers and orange beries which the birds love ANS it had a baby, not far away
Also, we planted a tiny holly which is now very big and it, too, had babies. The birds love it so much that they eat the berries before they tirn red

my dogs have pretty much landscaped my yard, and not in a good way
we had it redone two years ago, fairly dog-friendly, but they had other things in mind
i'm putting in a small lawn and some fruit trees.
my dogs are going to mostly be inside dogs I think. Like right now Dylan is sleeping under my desk
we did the tiny lawn and sections of prairie grass, lilies and some drought-resistant bushes
i'm probably going to have a lot of rock areas.. to cut back on watering
and at the lake house, we back onto the 18th fairway - just a deck, block patio and grass - so no landscaping there, but we have to do some patchwork on the grass
I finally got a landscape company to take on the project
that's harder work than i thought it was - sitting with blueprints and an open checkbook
yeah..it's going to be a chunk of change alright
worth it, if you can maintain it - we should have done a better job
planning to have a gardening company take care of stuff. I am just not good at it.
I do want a plum, apricot, peach, and lemon tree for sure

I hope you take more than just one little one every year. I liked at least 3 weeks to feel like I actually stopped thinking about work.
I have to work a lot. I tend to try to take 3 day weekends when I get tired. I can't get away for weeks unfortunately
but you can work as much or as little as you want, right? I am doing that in retirement now and I am a lot happier
I can work whatever hours I choose. my Ex (and biz partner) is a slave driver and works me to death :D

I like my job though So I don't mind the long hours most days. But now that I'm older.. I know when I need to rest
yes.. we actually get along much better now that we don't live together. it's working out fine
it is often the case that you get along better but I wouldn't want to work with my ex. not seeing things from the same viewpoint was the biggest issue we had
