When we ran cottage rentals, we always had citiots destroying fridges, so we kept about a dozen spares in storage. the only problem was that when stored or transported on their sides as often as they were, you had to remember to let them sit a bit before use again. The Freon in them needed to "settle' once more. We blew quite a few units before learning this important fact. same would go with air conditioners that get moved around a lot from room to room I would imagine. We have a porable air unit on casters, with a dryer-type vent. it can be wheeled around and placed in any window we wish. i have to remember to let it sit as well after i have jostled it around.
I can see that happening, but this is a unit with a gas pack. Not movable at all.
I don't know about anyone else, but the first 200 or so went fine and now I have slammed to a halt.
