We used to have such grand conversations on how she would soon get herself a small cabin in the mountains so she could get away from the heat she hated so much :(
Sometimes I wonder if our deceased babbler's families are aware of how close a circle we are. In Mimi's case, I know Sue is contact Mimi's daughter with our condolences. But others who have passed over the years, I wonder. Then I think, I hope we babblers have let a family member know to sign on and let our online community know. Crossy, I would hate to never know if you just suddently disappeared one day.
Once, we spent a good half hour mentally drawing up floor plans for her new place, and she would send me pictures of likely prospects so i could toss my two cent worth in on it.
we have lost several fine babblers in the time i have been on :(

yea i still collect stamps. Nothing out of the ordinary really. GB, penny red plate numbers, regionals and machins. Am going to start collecting US stamps again soon. Used to collect them but (long story) lost my US collection so shall be starting to collect them again soon
It's just that I have a stamp collection dating back to the late 70s, not added to since then. I'd like to give them to someone who cares. They are mostly British, US, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
I'd hate to just give them to a charity shop, and can't really be bothered with the hassle of trying to sell them.
i just love looking through bags of stamps i find and sorting through them. Gives me hours and weeks of fun!

Fine thanks - it's been a great couple of weeks - GrannyRose up here for a holiday and then she left and we went out whale watching on Tuesday and saw Migaloo, the only albino humpback whale.
I hope Granny Rose and you had a great time.I'm sure you did. Albino humpback...Wow!
It was good but the whale (named Migaloo) was awesome. We also saw him in 2009.
We say whales in Mexico and apparently we saw the first baby of the season.It was great!
It's good that he's still going then.
It's fabulous seeing them. We're so lucky. We have a season ticket and go out pretty much every week. We've also seen a couple of calves this year.
Back soon - need to hang washing out.
I saw a whale in Bermuda in the 90's and there was a chinese whale ship after it, but as soon as it came into the harbour, they couldn't chase it but as soon as it went back out to see they were after it...I hope they didn't get it!
