They replaced my favorite morning show this spring, now the replacement is starting. They replaced them with younger people.
TV seems to do that a lot. Replace older, more experienced favorites with young people who are clueless.
Although, the main woman is a quite good journalist and interviewer, the rest are annoying so far:) But, there are a lot of people angry about it. The previous show was more laid back, this reminds me of the US morning shows. We shall see how I feel by the end of the week.

dogs need mental and physical stimulation just as a cat or human, depending on age will determine how much sleep is required
we were just at the jerusalem zoo where they gave the elephant a big frozen watermelon, which was very difficult for him to crack open and eat, but provided lots of challenges which they said was good for him.

the Jackpine lake fire is in the mountains about 25 km away from us and is small (13 hectares). The Bear Creek fire is a lot closer (about 10 km) and is of more concern. It started during the storm last night and has resulted in some evacuations (wondered what all the sirens were aobut) but no houses lost so far. Now that it is daylight they will be able to hit it with the water bombers and get things under control. We also had some rain this am, so no worries yet.

last time I did give blood, I got light headed a bit afterward. May not have been related, but I quit anyway. I don't think that are that many concerns about giving blood, more concerns about getting blood.

I can't donate because I have had Typhoid. Believe it or not, a little girl got typhoid in the 60's in California.
what happens if someone gets blood from someone who had typhoid? i'd have thought it would just give them antibodies and it would be a good thing.
Me too. But I have been told I cannot donate. I was near death when they didn't know what was wrong with me and finally a resident at Stanford who had been in the Peace Corps said that he thought I had typhoid. They never thought to test for it before.

Hi all. I can't give blood either because I contracted some fom of jandice (hepatitis) when I was about 8. Add to that having such naturally low blood pressure (so much so that people taking my blood pressure and talking tome ask if I'm a corpse... my Dad was the same) giving blood is a no-no. Shame, cos' my blood group is quite rare, o nly 6% of the UK population.
Just as well my OH is a universal blood group and a blood donor!
