busy. four loads of laundry and still have to remake the bed. otherwise okay i guess.how was your night?
rotten. Misstepped yesterday and am aching allover. Was irrepairable awake at 4 am.
oh darling. how many times have i told you... no drinking until after 5pm. but seriously did you hurt yourself?
I don't drink after 5 pm. It wasn't my bladder, but the pain that kept me awake.
yes I did hurt myself. My foot slipped when I was standing on my bed ladder. Reflexive muscle reaction did the rest.
was it your usual pain, or are you hurt from the fall?
thank you for the recipes, btw! :)
both. Usual pain made worse by the fall.
oh no...... poor darling.... don't forget the magnesium, sweetie.
am gonna take a hot shower after babble, then painkillers and magnesium. Aiming for a low-key day ;)
i should think so. feet up. being waited on, hand and foot. xoxox
mwah, my family isn't much for waiting on me. I have to ask for every little thing and that gets old amazingly fast. But it will be ok. In two days.

It ends with a word that starts crus and means crab or shellfish

The last four letters are the last four letters of the body of water that comes after Atlantic
If you do a Google search on "crab" you will see the crus word I was referring to
And my clue should have been "ends like a word" not ends with a word, sorry.

I'm not sure anyone gets the full effect of the horror that was The Civil War until you visit a place like Gettysburg.
good idea car:)
I completely agree Molly. My hubby's most memorable moment of the trip was standing on Little Round Top looking down on the battlefields with it mapped out where things happened. It was very moving.
a lot of them died form disease and not gunshot

I really like Valley Forge as well. The Washington headquarters was so cool and to touch the same bannister that he and Martha and his generals put their own hands on was amazing!
stats for any 6 letter word please?
Mount Vernon is a beautiful place too. The Washingtons had nice homes.
fa 6/30
found one nvm
nbt and nbs
I have not been there YET....
Well done!
ty car
If you ever do a trip to DC, try to fit Mount Vernon in.
It was really strange, I had never though of Martha Washington being at VF. As soon as I heard she was also there, I started to think of things through her eyes. Wow!
molly the one thing that sticks out in my mind is the bedroom where they think the time of the clock was set to the time he died
We have been to DC a couple of times, but have yet to make it Mt. Vernon. I really want to go.
mt Vernon is breathtaking
I think that was done as a tribute back then.
Go in the fall the colors of the leaves are incredible
I can only imagine!
:)
Having left the US and being unable to travel now, I really regret not having made time to see those historic places AND the national parks.
I generally prefer to travel in the fall anyway, but with the kids in school it is very difficult to get them time away.
And hello everybody, I enjoyed your travlogue
car good point too bad too
hi ruby
Whenever we go to a historical site, we spend a lot of time talking to the Park Rangers. They are mostly wonderful and have so much more information than the general spiel.
Hello Ruby!
It is such a pleasure to enter this room!
ruby as time has gone on I have regrets that I didn't go to those places more then once
At Independence Hall in Philly, the Park Ranger thanked us for starting the revolution when he found out we were from the Boston area! LOL!
I never saw Yosemite or Yellowstone or the Grand Canyon, except once from 35,000 feet
At Washington's headquarters, they introduced me as a celebrity when I told them I was a Mayflower descendant! LOL
Good morning, all!
hi judi
car aren't you special lol
Trif is here. HAGD all!
bye car
ruby I too have been over the Grand Canyon
Did the pilot point it out or were you in a helicopter?
I was in an airplane
Seeing it from an airplane doesn't count. It just looks kind of orange from 39000 feet.
Hubby wants to tour the national parks. Some day... some day.
I know!
i don't disagree judi but its still kind of cool anyway
I travelled a lot for my job, so didn't travel much on holidays
Off to breakfast! *POOF*
bye judi

That was a cryptic clue?
ty ruru, scrolled back to find your opera clue. Hi to all
yw aloy
just made coffee.. starting my day
I have to work today unfortunately
ready for my second cup, having a nice slow start here
working from home or traveling today? Hope it is a pretty day if you are out and about, ru
traveling.. have to open up 6 champagnes for a client.. and then I have to bring them home and drink them :D
LOL.. now that is a tuff day!
wwhy do you have to drink them ru?
because they are there bichon :D
doesn't your client drink them?
he tastes them.. he'll probably keep a couple of bottles.
got it. Fun work you have
not always.. but today will be good for the holiday weekend. I'll have bubbly by the pool :D
What a life )))))))
was just given a bottle of bubbly to open on my b-day. Canah Periage, not from Calif., sorry
should be warmer today
where's it from aloy?
oh it's a prosecco.. delish
Italy, yes, prosecco, brut
buys some melon, strawberries and soft taleggio cheese to have with it
good to hear, haven't had it before
that was BUY
it has two G rosso stars.. that's a good thing
wow, you are amazing. don't know taleggio cheese either!
my BIL does everything organic - it came from him
taleggio is a soft white mild creamy cheese from italy
it's great with cut bread and fresh fruits
We enjoyed the Periage Riva Moretta he also brought to share
It was a 2013
I love them because they have such low alcohols and are delicious with food
yup, no headache!
and usually they don't break the bank either
one of the champagnes I am opening today costs $180 a bottle
holy cow!
costs.. sells for more than that
I drink iced tea and diet soda, plus water
I drink a lot of iced tea.. I don't drink soda except root beer on occasion
*Imagines drinking $180 a bottle champagne in a lounge chair on the beach : D
have tongue receptors that strongly reject art. sweetners, so no diet drinks for me
I am diabetic. Diet soda is my lifeline. Can't drink alcohol
oh bichon..
now that i'm older i'm drinking a lot less
Good morning! I drink water.
well.. that's boring m9
I didn't drink alcohol before I became diabetic, so I don't miss it.
And I just tried making my own drinking vinegar, it was pretty good! But sweet.
drinking vinegar?
And sometimes I drink tea, usually peppermint.
m9, iced water with lemon is a favorite of mine too. Drinking vinegar?
But mostly water. It's my beverage of choice.
I like ice water and cucumbers and lime
Yes! It's super big in Korea.
I made blackberry thyme.
so when someone asks if you want to get pickled.. you say you already are
sounds interesting, m9
I gather it used to be made here in colonial times also and was called "shrubs" and it's making a bit of a comeback.
that sounds like a lot of work making that tea m9.. you must have a lot of thyme on your hands
ok, chalk up a groan, ru
yay
if you google "imbibe homemade drinking vinegar" it will bring up the article I got my recipe from.
ty m9
Imagine you cumin up with a pun!
usually I give sage advice
And now we shall pepper the chog with more!
This conversation is savory
Aw, that was so sweet bichon!
well.. we'll curry some groans eventually
we should act gingerly around aloy though :D
People should join in, because if you cinnamon a pun, he is amused for a day, BUT if you teach him to pun, he can really annoy others for a lifetime!
Ru and I are regular alums of the punning college.
oh oh, red bars but time for me to scoot anyway. 28 left for later. Hate to leave in the midst of a pun fest, but duty calls. hagd all! Poof
rats, my post isn't showing - and aloy just noticed she is in the grid. I'll try to refresh, but something is amiss..
don't get carawayed away aloy
LOL, that worked.. bye, ru, have a popping good time today!
Guess we weren't ginger enough? How's the weather where you are Aloy? If it's chile make sure you take a cardamom with you.
*sets up molly on the beach with a ice bucket with Bubbly* and an umbrella
*Sings Ru's praises forever and ever(
wow.. I just found a ce 8
*puts out fresh shrimp and cheese*
share, pls ru
ce 8 regarding the whale family
ty ru
there's a second one too
ce 8.. that deals with the study of whales.
Thanks for finding one of the big ones Ahab!
...Shrimp...cheese...champagne...the beach...heaven...
it was a fluke m9 totally
I can't find my last six words
glad I was able to baleen you out m9
*sends servant to massage molly's feet to push her over the edge*
Sorry not to be taking the bait on some of these, orca so much going on...
are you doing that on porpoise?
perhaps a breach of etiquette, but there ya go.
she's moving in for the krill
I'm distracted listening to a pod cast.
at least you aren't blubbering about ailments :D
I beluga out of the water with that one, didn't i?!??
the pod cast was a good one.. I have to remember that one
damn it.. missed the money word
ch5?
to ch5 on a test
or c + not cool
No, I meant is that YOUR money word?
no.. mo5/6 was the money word.. missed it.. had to go to lickety for my last three
ah. it has pl also. Just three, I'm impressed. I usually make it to half way but sometimes not much further.
good morning everyone
Hi nan.
morning nan
Fall has arrived :( How is everyone on the east coast doing? - some terrible looking storm video on the news last night
we are inland in Connecticut so it won't be so bad
glad to hear that, bich
Some wind and some rain for us. I wonder about Anniebrook. She was hit hard by Sandy
Is she in NJ?
No, in Brooklyn right near the shore
NYC right?
hiya all! can I have stats for either O?

Ah.. now that I know what it is, not so strange. Fun to say though.
it's hard for all of us Alex :-)
mcdonads is grows

Many of us use cheats Alex.
don't think I've eaten at Mac's more than once -- when the kids were very small. Even they didn't like it.

My son worked there.
People, please don't feed the trolls
Unless it's McD food, then you can feed them all you want :-)
Oh, super

Ive only got 8/50
i have CE 8/65 - ends in scientific study
there should be a study of pennies
I thought the same thing!
The other ends like a word that starts crus and describes a crab
hmmm... would that be a penny for your thoughts?
50 to go.
ty molly - 44 to go
got it - thnx
33 to go here
It is a difficult grid. Or should I say it has teeth. Or lots of babblets?
I'd just say loads of words I've never heard of
syal
syal?
See ya after lunch?
every time I think about listing, I find a few more -- just found the village people word
now that song will be running through my head all day
love your profile pic, molly
*Looks for YMCA in the grid
Nan, for all the times you have said you don't get the popular music clues in the grid, you dug up a Village People song that I had forgotten about. Go figure.
give a hint - stats for song
ma5/16 manly
had that - forgot about the song
my kids were in their teens when that group was popular
anything after abba, you can pretty much forget for me
I have never liked pop music. I am stuck in the 50-60's
Oh wow, I was in my teens when that group was popular. But I was more into blues rock and roll at the time.
noooo! not the dreaded ABBA earworm! Now I shall hear "Knowing Me, Knowing You" echoing in my head for the rest of the day :(
I like the big band music of the 30s and 40s and have learned many of the old time traditional music that goes way back - so in that case, the 50s and 60s are "modern" music
Bich, did you not listen to the music your kids liked?
i have never tried listening to the music of my two boys
Not really. My first love is classical music, but I was a teenager in the late 50's to early sixties
My granddad used to say it was all noise and you couldn't hear the words. Guess what I think now
I do like folk music as I listened to it when in college.
i know that when the two grandkids went with their parents to a concert, they were both given ear protection to muffle the noise
same here bich - studied violin in those days and belonged to a couple of chamber music groups and played in 2 orchestras
also still enjoy the folk music
I will listen to pop music in the car, but can't wait to turn it off
we have an mp3 that we use in the car so we can have our "own" music and never have any of the local stations on
think I need to list -- last 30
I think a mutual appreciation of music connects people. My kids were raised listening to the music I liked, so I made an effort to understand the music they liked when they got old enough to hone their own taste.
firewords! tx Molly, Lickety, ruru and all cluers, lo8 was my last
Bye 2Bit. Go out and enjoy the glorious weather.
don't imagine it's too glorious in DC right now
has the storm hit there, dan?
Oh no, it's very nice. All the hurricane weather moved south of us.
oh -- that '
oh - that's great!
It will be crappy for people on the coast of Maryland and Virgina, but inland, it's fine.
And after two solid months of horrible heat and humidity, we are enjoying cooler temperatures.
the breeze is noticeable, clouds have some giddyup, but it's a lovely temp as Molly says
same here -- we've gone from the high 80's to the mid 60's in the last 10 days
go 4/8?

Yes, tams
ooooh so sorry cursure in wrong place oops
cursor think i need a nap!!
hi tedy
Thank you MollyL.Things are a little now that I am back at work. I am just dealing with things one day at a time now.
hi Min
Hello hego! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
Good to see you! I'm good.
Min, I hope your troubles are not the same ones you have been dealing with for some time now. And if they are, I would gently suggest that enough is enough.
hello everyone
Hello Anniebrook! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Hi Annie
Hi Minver, I hardly ever see you. What a pleasant surprise.
Hi Hego
MollyL,I finally decided enough was enough, but now I am dealing with another HUGE issue that threw a wrench into my plans. Hubby is VERY sick and I do not know what to do
hello min. sorry to hear this.
Min, I'm so sorry to hear this.
If I leave my husband, he loses medical insurance which he absolutely needs at this time. Timing totally, totally sucks!
Hello 72 Temple Owl? Thank you!How are you doing today
hi all
Hugs to you Min.
Min the timing does indeed suck.
Min the timing does indeed suck.
Hi Peri
glorious day here
Hi folks
Hello perwinkle! How are you doing today?Welcome to grid
Min, you can continue paying for health insurance for your husband even if you separate.
I am doing well, Min. Wish you were
Hello origami! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
Ori!
I'm OK Min. Sorry you are in such a difficult position.
Hi Hego :-)
Min is such a nice lady. She deserves better.
I agree Hego. And sometimes, problematic people are like the gum on the bottom of your shoe. You just can't seem to scrape them off.
True Molly
The trick is not to enable.
That is my problem.I have been enabling him for too long.
I can't blame him for everything, but I am at fault as well.
I will be thinking of you, Min and hoping things work out for you.
MollyL,I am looking into options in terms of healthcare. He may actually be better off without me because he can get SSI disability and then be eligible for Medicaid&Medicare.
yes
Thank you hego. I know we all go through life struggles at one time or another.Guess now it's my turn, unfortunately
Min, you need to look into what will be better for you.
Hope things work out soon Min.
I must go. Best to you, Min and All.
Have a nice day hego
I know, however, I am not the one who is sick. No matter how angry I am, I want him to get better and to be able to live a long healthy & productive lifee even if it's not w/me
Thank you hego!Have a nice Labor Day weekend.Goodbye
Min, you know I think you are a great woman. So I mean this sincerely. If his health issues are the result of his "condition" then he made those choices and now he must deal with the consequences. You, however, do not have to deal with those consequences.
Well put, molly. {{{ hugs to Min }}}
You are absolutely right Molly! For some reason,I'm having a hard to to detach. It is easier said than done. My hubby did finally stop drinking and he is going to AA meetings.
Hubby has BEGGED me not to leave, but I already told him it was too late. I just have to figure out the best way to do it where it won't compromise his health. That is important
Min, I understand. It is hard to detach when you have been enmeshed for a long time. And I will remind you that every day is a 50/50 proposition for an addict or alcoholic. Just because they have "quit" doesn't mean they are going to stay "quit".
you can leave, not finalize things, keep insurance. for now.
I am not the kind of person who kicks someone when they are already down.On that note, thank you for your support and kind words & support. This is why I LOVE the chat log.
Why wouldn't he beg you not to leave Min? You have been supporting him and his habit for years now. He is probably terrified of facing life on his own, which is just what he needs to do.
And you, my dear girl, need a life that is free of him and his constant strife. Go get it.
I have told him he needs to learn to become independent.
Believe me,I do intend to get my life back. It WILL happen
I won't belabor this point any longer Min. I just hope that you will remember what is best for YOU. I will keep you in my good thoughts and prayers.
Min, I was in your shoes with my first husband. My Al Anon sponsor told me to give him a date to have things set up under his own name, and stick to it. I left. A few years later he did wind up as a ward of the court after going back to drinking. I know I didn't cause it, and couldn't fix it. He made his own choices. My heart is with you as you take this courageous step away from codependency. You WILL get your life back in ways you might not even be able to imagine now.
I was there also Min. Take care of yourself. I will be thinking of you.
Adding to what ch1212 said...you didn't cause it, you can't fix it and you are NOT RESPONSIBLE for it.
I went to an ALNON meeting a few years ago, but I did not like it.It seemed like they were trying to make excuses for why their loved ones drank.Just felt like it was not for me
Although hubby had millions of excuses for why he drank,I NEVER made any excuses for him and I never will. I've also told my husband that his mess is so not my responsibility.
Min, it's not for everyone. It was just one of the many tools I used over a period of years to work through my issues of codependency, childhood abuse, etc. For me, I chose to not date for many years as part of my healing. I'm sure you'll find the right paths and support you need as long as you're open ... and it sure sounds like you are. {{ hugs }}
My therapist wants me to go back to ALNON meetings. I'm thinking about it since I am in a different stage of my life.
Sadly, the Alanon groups have espoused a "no cross talk" philosophy" which I think is not helpful. People need a discussion about what they are going through. Not just an hour of people making statements without responses.
When I went, I was not looking to leave husband yet. Now that I am, I may have a different view of ALNON ch1212.
I may wait until AFTER divorce and I am finally on my own.
Anyway, I don't want to hog the chog with my pathetic life
I need to continue 2 look for words. Thank U for thoughts!
Min, it's never hogging the chat when you need to vent or get some support. People understand.
I guarantee you'll still hear some people focusing on their alcoholic, and others who are just beginning to focus on themselves, and some who have been putting in the work. As far as cross-talk, what's usually meant by that is members want to support each other but respect each person's right to make their own decisions. So, for example, instead of me saying, "Well, Min, here's what you should be doing, or shouldn't be doing" I can instead share my own experience, strength, and hope from my own perspective. It's a tricky concept for many. Ultimately, it's kind of like going to therapy. Some people go with an attitude of "make me better", while others (like us) realize it's only as effective as the work we put into it. And 'hog' away, Min. We're here for you!
Oh, and it took me a few tries before I found an Al Anon group where I felt like I belonged.
Therapist said the same thing.ALNON is not for everyone. I could try going to a different meeting w/a different group
Everyone is different. Don't use me as an example, but it took me nearly ten years to reach a point of true wholeness. Along the way there was Al Anon, individual therapy, group therapy, a stint in-patient, experiential therapy, regressive hypnosis, and a tremendous support group of strong women and men. I believe my 'recovery' is a lifelong process. The big difference is that for the past 20 years, it's been a joyful daily journey. And ... now I feel like I'm hogging the chog. I will go hunt for words now... :)
Everyone finds their own way to wellness. For some, it is groups like Alanon. For others, therapy. For others, just a support group of like minded women or men. Find what works for YOU, Min.
I am so glad you found your happiness ch1212. I also hope to find mine at the end of this dark tunnel. Thank you for sharing your advice, experiences and wisdom. It helps me.
:)
ch1212 is a true Alanon-er. Sharing her ES&H...experience, strength and hope. : D
I am a little younger than you, but I hope to be where you are when I'm your age ch12. Something to look forward to
You humble me, Molly. I still have lots of moments that pop up and I soooooo want to get involved with someone else's business. Thankfully, most of the time (but not all) I step back out of their pooh. :D
I will be back later. Need to get some lunch. Bye all!
Oh, we all have our moments. I think the AA/Alanon/Alateen programs teach some great spirituality and life lessons. I'm so glad for the people who keep those programs active and helpful.
Goodbye ch1212! LOVED chatting with you today. Thank U
I think I am going to go do the same thing. It is 3:33 in NY and I have not eaten lunch. Too busy babbling & chatting.
I will be back later on to finish and write my story of clues.
I realise that over an hour has passed since the last chat, but, Min, if you are reading this....Many of us here know the torment and pain you are going through right now. Our hearts and prayers are with you. I have always thought that you should change your Babble name from Mineryork to Saint Babble, because of your fine clueing!! Please know that you are a treasured, loved and valued friend, and that I sincerely hope and pray that things work out for you.
Min, my vote is to keep your same name. Saint Babble is a little over the top. : D
hello
Agreed Molly. But in my head, I will always see St Min when I see Minver's posts. Without doubt, she is one of the most agreeable, non-confrontational, pleasant of all Babblers, and it is always a pleasure to see her.

hi Jac. Long time no see
Hi Bug. How are you?
I am well thanks, and you?
Still recovering from the opon my shoulder, but getting there.
Op on my shoulder. Sorry, keyboard is sticking. Must get a new one.
surgery? That is a rough one. It took my friend a HECK of a long time to be able to move her arm with a full range of motion and no pain
I sure hope your recovery goes more quickly
Well, it's only 17 weeks and my surgeon says full movement could take 18 months- 2 years. I'm getting there slowly with physio (physical therapy).
that is the length of time I was talking about but she did all the exercises whenever she could and now has full range of motion. She says that she cussed the physiotherapist out all night after a treatment but now she sings his praises
Did you break it?
sorry. I just realized that I should stop talking to you so you don't have to move the cursor
Yes, I exercise at lot and see the therapist every 2 weeks. I curse her sometimes but each of the exercises does work in the end. The worst part, aside from the original injury, was spending the first 6 weeks after the op with my arm in a sling 24/7.
No, not a break - worse (apparently) - I dislocated my collar bone (all the ligaments holding it down snapped) - fell down the stairs.
she hated it. She couldn't get her bra on other forms of self-care where done but with questionable efficiency
Had to wait a year for the op so was almost out of pain when I had it and then was back to square one. Needed to have the op. though.
OH my goodness!! Torn ligments as well
Yes - the bra thing and other stuff is difficult. The arm behind the back movement is the one I'm working on most now. Surgeon said it's the last movement you get back.
I can't believe you had to wait a year for a spot. We have national health care too and since yours was an injury it would have been dealt with ASAP, even if that is wait
It's the average wait for 'non-emergency' ops here. I had to wait the same length of time to have my gall bladder removed, even after one attack left me hospitalised for days.
yes, we have waits for gall bladder type surgeries
but if the surgery was to correctly reposition the collar bone and tighten things up, why wasn't that dealt with?
If the people who make the waiting lists had ever actually had a gall bladder attack (it's worse than labour, believe me) they wouldn't make people wait!
that is sure the truth
:)
Fireworks! *~*~*~*
Do you need any help with clues, Bug?
I need help with a life decision
What decision is that ruru?
YAY for Jac and finding ruru here when I came back!
The doctor is in
((hugs bugs)) hey all
finally taking a break, was trying to do some online training and certification... a few glitches really slowed me down though.
Hi stidmama. Well, hi and bye. I have to go now. Happy Babbling all. xx
((Jac)) bye!
Hello stidmama! How are you doing today?Welcome to grid
What are you trying to become certified in stidmama. Was also going to take online classes this summer, but I wasn't able to because of summer school. It was a ton of work!
hello Min -- it's a new online testing system the official training at school wasn't accessible to me because of the chemicals on some of the other participants (it was district-wide and some of those people use a lot of "products")
So I am trying to get this out of the way so I don't have to try to do it this next week -- with many of those same people in that room.
What are you te4/6ing this year stidmama, middle school?
It's a district-wide online assessment system, Min -- multiple content areas. Tedious.
And I teach elementary school -- permanent position. :-)
*sits in PB*
Did U become permanent this year? What grade do U have
I have been permanent since 2014, actually. Third grade.
any help on the fe 6 or fe 8?
I saw earlier people were stocking the PB with some good things, but I forgot what. Thought PB didn't exist anymore
I'm almost done, but unfortunately I do not have those stid
fe6/33 is adverb form of the fe4/7 word.I just found word
bummer. down to 26 here. Listed about 40... feeling tired.
fe 8: study of unborn
got it. thanks indiajan
and thanks for the fe 6 also, min
strange to adverb-ize a word like that!
Will you be in middle school this year Min?
I will still doing ESL in a K-8 building in 2 different schools.
okay, well at least it's something familiar! We hired a new ELL director for our district this year. It's a lot of work, to come into a new district and evaluate the program... I know changes will be made, but it will take a while to get everything in place.
down to 7.... *trudge trudge trudge*
26 here and its a struggle
three now...

Hi stidmama. I got down to 1 word while you were away. I did congratulate you on your fireworks. Not sure if U saw.
Hello again babblers.
Hello origami! How are you? Welcome back to the chat log
Okay everyone, as I promised earlier,I just wrote a story of clues. It is in the profile if anyone needs/wants to read it.
Good Evening, fellow Babblers. Hubby & I spent about 5 hours at the Minnesota State Fair today; we just got home.
Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the chog
Nef,U got here just in time to witness my fireworks at last.
Hope you and husband had nice weather for the state fair.
I'm tired but okay. DH was on his handicap scooter, but I had to walk. For some reason his scooter battery (which is only 2 years old) runs down faster than normal & it was hard getting it onto the bus because the battery was so weak
Did you put your word in yet?
It was a beautiful day at the fair, but suddenly cooler than usual. \
(It was very hard trying to get through the crowds today; I don't think I've ever seen it that crowded before
I am finished! I have fireworks! fa7/44 was my final word.
YAY, Min!!! WTG!!!
Nef, do you need any clues before I retire for the evening?
How's things going for you?
How did your husband's appt. go?
I am going with my husband to see specialist on Tuesday. I will know more after that. Thank you for asking though.
You can retire for the evening Min; I have 96 words left to find. Oh! I thought you'd already been there! (Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.)
Thank you Nef. I leave you with story of clues in profile in case you need it.I hope to be back in the chog again soon.
Goodnight to all babblers!Have a nice Labor Day Weekend
Your story has helped my get down to 94 now! :-)
sweet dreams min
I can help a little bit, for a little while.
Hi stid; how are you doing?
I am well -- a wonderful start to this school year, and while I can see it will have its share of challenges (what year doesn't?) I think it will be a WONDERFUL year.
Hi Stid and Nef
Sorry if I am distracted, we are watching the movie "Brooklyn" and I am enjoying it no end.
Hi DR
DR!!!!! DR of the young, handsome, actor-son! How is the sunny south?
I am amazed how grown-up our sons are... when we "met" here in the chog, they were just goofy kids.
*wistful, aging mama look*
LOL - It is actually a balmy 66 this evening- It was 80 today.
Yes, these boys of ours!! Driving and acting and growing... how dare they
stid; I'm so glad you're so happy about how this year already looks! (& remember when you said you weren't comfortable with "little" kids in 3rd grade?)
yes! He has made some adult choices and is focused on school and finishing strong. 4 AP classes!
I love that Stid is excited about teaching. I always thought I wanted to be a teacher
So happy for you all, DR!
I'm crying in my heart tonight, they found the remains of Jacob Wetterling today, 26 years after his disappearance.
LOL I remember, Nef -- it was a big transition.
I saw that, Nef -- so sad. I am heartbroken for his parents.
And have arrested the man who they suspected but couldn't prove or connect him with the crime (he took the police to where Jacob was buried.)
Jacob was the same age as my son.
Yes, I think that he led them to the remains means he at least knew all this time... all this time that his parents hoped but grieved, that he could have given them resolution.
Such horrible people.
So horribly sad
He admitted to doing it.
Sorry, I didn't mean to depress people; the news is on & after all these years I had to say something.
And I am so very happy for you stid.
I did it again... I wandered off. Realized I wanted to update my blog. Hadn't done anything since July!
I am glad he admitted it. That, at least, will spare them some hardship.
sounds like you might need some sleep if you keep wandering off, stid.
fanta
sorry, not a word.
(It seems *I* might need sleep too, right?)
LOL indeed, Nef -- but Tom is making some popcorn and we are going to watch some old Dr. Whos (the Sylvester McCoy) and then turn in for the night.
any help I can give you on the grid tonight, dear Nef?
Are you looking for one of the FA5, or the FA 6/7 combo?
I've made it to half way, stid; I'm going to answer a couple of emails & go to bed myself in about 1/2 hr to 45 minutes.
well done! This was not a particularly easy grid. I worked on it in between other computer tasks today.
enjoy your popcorn & Dr. Who episodes while you can! ;-)
:-)
Heading out. be well, all! *poof*
