how's your mother holding up, car? And you yourself?
Mom has not been well. We even have a meeting set up with hospice. However, now she is off the anitbiotics, finally!, she does seem to be rallying a little. Unfortunately, she gets up every 90 minutes at night. No sleep aid yet has worked. :(
I am exhausted.

I got a stretch of 3.5 hours last night but I feel absolutely retched.
could somebody take over the watch rfor you for a couple of nights? So that you can sleep? And maybe once or twice every week?
I'm working on it. Someone is going to have to. I'm crashing here.
it is not humanly possible to function without sleep.
Of course, she does nothing but sleep all day, so that doesn't help. Now that she is feeling a bit better, I am going to have the day nurses try to keep her up more while I'm at work. She can have a little nap in the afternoon, but that will have to be it.
Alzheimer's sucks.

We are fortunate that our VNA services DO have aides that will come at night. Even a couple of nights a week will be some relief for me.

hi all, on day 22 of being in the hospital with my darling hubby, who's fighting a cancerous tumor on top of his damn muscular dystrophy. Found a visitor computer in a lounge area. Took forever to recall my password for here, lol.

thanks. he had second chemo treatment Monday, and daily radiation now for almost 3 weeks. A couple of docs think it's smaller already, one is not so sure, but the heck with him. >:P

the simpson trial was the biggest travesty in the last 3 decades.. just awful
i like toobin, he is a good writer and presents very level headed. of course, there is so much interpretation of this trial
sounds like a good book. I might check it out.. I've read other books on the subject.. just a horrible outcome. he's likely to be free soon too

ru, this trial has to do with a rape trial in which the judge repeatedly referred to the victim as the accused and (get this) asked her why she couldn't just keep her knees together

he was a provincial judge when this trial was held in 2014 - since then, he's been appointed as a federal judge. big hubbub up here about whether or not he should be allowed to remain on the bench
i just don't know if there's anyone, other than a rapist, who'd want him presiding over their trial
we just had one of those here in California where a Stanford student raped an unconscious woman and only got three months in jail.. because the JUDGE didn't want to damage him for life.. what about the victim.. they are recalling this judge too.

So tomorrow I will avoid the staff room and see if that makes a difference. I am betting it will be a big difference. :-)

How's the new kitchen working out, Bugs? Do you like the handles you chose for the cabinets?
I love the whole thing. the handles are easy to clean, don't catch things and big enough for Mr Bugs to not scratch the cupboards so they are excellent
sounds perfect.
okay, I am going to drink my glass of water and head to sleep. One of the medications I was prescribed yesterday wires me up... the other makes me extremely groggy (only just took the second one this afternoon when I was desperate...).
