a little better. I did the soda bath thing yesterday and it seems to help a little. Am gonna go for a new round after babble.
the tw words are recurring babblets, matty. You know them.
Sorry - are the TWs words I've ever heard of?
matty think more than one for the same amount of money
Got it - thanks! I *might* have found it eventually but it'd have driven me nuts!
short drive matty.... lolllll
Too true!
*giggles* True for all of us
humpfff, what's this us white man?
tw6 the price of one... it is one of the first babblets I learned when starting to play babble. Drove me straight into the curtains.
hehehe... us, my darling rose, as in you... and me... and me... and you...
roflollll. would have loved to see that
oh I was a basketcase back then. I was not even aware words could start with cw... or pt... or cz... I didn't know some words don't have vowels... babble sure broadened my horizon. And taught me to doubt my allencompassing knowledge of life, the universe and the rest.
*rocks sprite's basket* shhhh, sprite is sleeping....
mama!
god, I wish, rose... would have been a different life, with you as my mum. Or someone like you. Ah well. We wouldn't have met as friends then and you wouldn't come to spend a vacation with me here!
Do you ever manage to use any babblets in conversation?
if i had been your mum we would be living in each others homes all the time.
not that i know of matty
oh yeah, sometimes :) But only when I tell people about weird words or the fun of babble.
okay my beautiful people, I have to go. *hugs* to you both, and a hug for Don too.
Have a good one, Sprite
thanx hun. and hugs for you and Rob.
That's me done - have a great day
Busy day planed, sunchine and a tiny grid.
and a spelling (or typing) lesson -- lol
Good day for a short grid. You can get outside and bask in the glory of your garden.
Yes, and I'll do some "pot planting" on the deck this afternoon. We prepared the various pots yesterday, some of them fancy Chinese bronzes
fies
whoops, sorry
Ruby is going to get into some pot this afternoon. Dude!
Hahaha
*Imagines Ruby sitting in the middle of her garden, munching on a bag of Cheetos and wondering where the dogs are*
No medical MJ exists here; I could probably eliminate my painkillers; Is oxty worse than pot? Probably

hi.
firewks
Yeah. Me too.
Sigh. Our cleaning crew here at the office is low budget. They actually use vinegar to clean our windows. My bulletproof glass is now streaky as hell.
vinagar? I'm surprised they don't use newspaper!
pesh
pesht
sorry
Hi, Ruby! Professional cleaners is a bit of an oxymoron here.
You can see I'm desperate. Everybody said this was easy! Not for me
I struggled a bit with the last 25 words or so. Don't feel bad. The smaller grids are always the most annoying.
I have 22 left and see nada, and still no 7
Off I go to re-clean my window. See y'all tomorrow! *POOF*
Bye
Tw is only 7

Sorry. It isn't a word (according to Enable)
And I've just been here a couple of minutes & messed up already.
(((Nef))) I am lurking. Should be grading papers, but... ;-)
Hi stid. How are you feeling these days?
Not bad. The dog didn't run away the last two days, which was nice... <sigh>
Is he running away frequently?
He would if we gave him more chances. I really NEED Tom to get the ground in Wally's fenced area finished. He is dragging his feet for some reason... but I cannot order multiple yards of materials to be delivered (they only deliver on weekdays!) because I don't know Tom's schedule. So I am having to wait for him to do it.
What is he doing to the fenced area?
It needs the substrate. Wally is a digger so we cannot just put him in a fenced area. We have to have gravel and put cement blocks around the bottom of the fence so he cannot dig out.
oh-oh. Is wally a mutt?
Wally
Of course!
:-)
He's part golden retriever, part shepherd (I think australian shepherd likely), part "who knows"
He is, of course, inordinately intelligent...
The reason I ask is that my sister raises golden retrievers; and she only had 3 males last year & she kept finding that they had ripped big holes in the chain link fence that their kennels were made of.
Yes, Wally might get to that point, but hopefully not too soon. Summer break begins in two months from tomorrow!
Turns out another dog down the road was in heat & my sister's 3 dogs ripped the kennel apart & ran away trying to get to the femals
You're counting the days Already>
Wow....... being a rescue, Wally is "fixed" so that's less an enticement. Although, to be fair, he is a very good hunter, so he's quite keen to get acquainted with all the lovely furred and feathered neighbors!
Not quite "counting" but noticing the passage of time. Despite the health issues that have plagued this school year, these are wonderful kiddos and I will be sad to see them leave. I offered to move up to fourth grade with them... (no takers!)
could i get a clue for the tw6 please?
lso hello all!
aww. They must be a good group of kids. There are 3 classes of 2nd graders in my grandsons school; his class has been delightful; but another class is the complete opposite.
Hi Miss O
more than one for a single price, MissO
They really are a great group of kids, yes.
hey nef, stid how are you both
thanks stid
tw 6 is like a special offer on vitamins (or whatever)
Enjoying a quiet evening. Tom just took Wally out for the third time since I got home -- Wally really is getting insistent on Tom's attention these days.
cute!
hmm i assume americas have a word for that we dont use here?
ive been preoccupied with cross stich this psat week or so, my babble game is lacking
got it tho!
:D thanks
We have an expression that means "buy one, get one free" if that helps?
go MissO go!
I spent the day with a friend who had hand surgery. I took her to the surgery center; sat in the waiting room for several hours; brought her home & stayed with her as long as I could.
hope they make a quick recovery nef, you make a good nurse and friend :)
that was so kind of you, Nef! :-)
Easter Friday here, and also my late nanas birthday... i was going to brave the droves of people but everythings closed til tomorrow anyhow
Ended up securtereing the crap out of the weeds and Hevean tree out the back
eed to seriously poinson that thing :(
Do they still have blue laws down there? In the U.S., stores rarely are closed!
She's doing well but isn't supposed to be alone; so her niece came to spend the night there. She's single, & one of my former co-workers. And as I've probably said before, several of us old time nurses have an agreement that we'd watch out for each other if 1 of us gets sick or has surgery.
poor weeds... ;-) remember a weed is just a plant that is in the wrong place!
Public holidays it's small trading only if they can afford to ope it, chain grocery and things like clothing stores, banks, everything else are closed
You need to come have that talk with Mr Heaven/Hell tree out the back Stid
And Nef, that's the way it is! Although I'm not in touch with any other nurses these days... Guess it will be me nursing my stubborn nurse self... - oh dear!
I wish stores were closed for holidays like they used to be; it has gotten to the point of people treating holidays like work days now
clue for the second ca4,9 please?
Tree of Heaven... so pretty to look at, but if I remember right they drop a lot of material, and are they also one of the ones the sprouts from their roots?
duckers for days stid, up to 100 feet away from the initial terror of a plant
i moved into this place of which my partner owns around xmas time, he can't garden and its just been left to ruin... it's yeah...
Fire would be a blesing!
Although i read earlier that fire makes it grow more
no fire for me:(
I haven't listed MissO, my 2nd ca is what you do with tents & sleeping bags & a firepit
Yep... I remember now. So pretty, and so deadly! I don't usually use chemicals to control plants, but that sumac relative is one that I would consider it. I actually have only used "Roundup" for one purpose ever -- a plant that I brought from a grandparent's yard decades ago that I later learned was on the banned list for being too prolific. I thought it had died out, and then found a happy stand of it a few years ago!
I am down to 5 with no clues or list (yet) -- just finished grading. :-) Will give myself another 15 minutes and then turn into a pumpkin.
the second ca 4/9 is something that rum and other liquors are stored in. Poe wrote a great story about the ca 4/9 of Amontillado.
hmmm ar5,12 please?
Hi kiddos.
ar 5/12 babblet. starts like the word for length times width; ends with a adjectivizer
hey origami
heyyy ori!
how are you?
stid is correct; I didn't see the stats on your request, MissO
Hi ori!
Hi stids How are you doing?
good, thanks -- you?
three left now...
Doing OK friends.
no idea but thats stid!
How is DH Nef?
My mind is raging at this heaven tree nef, i have no space in here for babblets :P
Glad to hear that ori.
2 to go tho
the "adjectivizer" is often clued as 2/3 of frozen water
And how are you, of course, Nef?
I'm struggling to keep my eyes open here; I'm pretty worn out from doing nothing all day
winner! fireworks! thanks stid, nef!
YAY MissO!
LOL Nef! Isn't that weird how it works?
YAY, MissO!!! WTG!!!
IV bag of dark roast espresso will cure what ails you Nef ;)
2, a 4/5 combo
Yay, Miss!
It's much harder to do nothing all day than to have a very busy day. (At least that's what I think)
ty neffy and ori :D
LOL MissO! I think I ran 4 cups of hospital strength coffee today too! :-)
hee to clue as i spool emboidery threads
oh dear... ate it with a spoon?
urgh now i want chocolate coated coffee beans
nomnom
Go, stid! You can do it!
going to ask for an L combo... I have LA 4/6, 4/5, and 4/4 I need an L4 and an L5
Miss! You are certainly interesting. :-)
Didn't quite need a spoon, but definitely got shake after that last cup!
Why thank you Ori :P
oh boy Nef... I was subjected to America coffee and tea whilst I was over there.. it's.. no... I can't even begin to imagine the... nightmare that is american hospital coffee
got them! Looks like a currency word
I don';t have them stid but am looking now
I had to give up coffee. It is very sad. I loved coffee. I have gone to tea.
they are -- 100,000 rupees, apparently!
anyway... have to head out. it was the LA 4/9, 5/20 combo. Thanks for teh conversation and help! *poof*
thanks stid! <3
give up coffee?! oh my
Thanks for the clues, stid!
We do have good coffee and tea here, Miss. It isnIt isn't in restaurants.
hmmm
*isn't in restaurants* rather
i was in philly and got stuff from the italian market and south street specialty goods stores
better than that starbucks wwill by far but still not pleasent on my face hole
My son recently told DH & me that we drink too much coffee. However; HE's the one who makes it very high strength; & I think it's too strong. (I normally drink 2 - 3 cups of caffeine a day; not sure what I'd do if I had to his coffee all the time
Ugh! Starbucks is awful. A good French roast, freshly ground and properly made probably tastes as good wherever you make it. Oh, great Now I am craving coffee.
Oh, Nef! I like it strong.
The reality is that I have "settled" for tea. I have always liked tea. But, it isn't coffee :-(
i do too, but when you brew it too strong, it doesnt taste good anymore.
Sorry to make you suffer, ori.
Thanks a lot guys :D
gtg bbl <3
See you, Miss.
bye MissO!
OK, 7 hours before the alarm goes off. Good night!
niters,ori. Sleep well!
sera
sorry.
