somewhat, but not MUCH. pulse-ox numbers went up a bit, which doc was happy with. he wont tolerate the mask while awake + since hes sleeping on his belly these days, we cant do the mask while hes asleep, so we've been trying to make do with the blow-by. but the meds were expensive, so i asked if we had other options. we ended up getting an inhaler with a tube/mask, which K is taking to much better, so we are hoping for significant improvements now!

Inhaler with chamber with mask is what we prefer--easier and quicker than a nebulizer. So I would have put him on Flovent 44 2 puffs twice daily.

Things are working now (after a total of 3 1/2 hours on the phone with "help" desk).I'm just glad *I* was the one working on this because both DH & my son would have thrown the new modem at the wall or something as bad. It was very frustrating; gave me a major headache last night; etc. but 1 thing I do have is tons of patience!.

My son is a QA specialist for a couple of small program development companies (not sure what they call the companies that design & build new niche programs; but his job is to make them work & try to break the programs). He basically works for 1 company in the daytime before his son comes home; then the other one after his son is in bed at night. After we'd worked on this thing for about 4 hours last night with calls on my cell phone for 1 1/2 hours & depleting the phone battery, *he* was extremely frustrated & we were both ready to bite each others' heads off. I had a massive headache & went to bed then (somewhere around 3 AM); not sure when he gave up though.
what an ordeal!
(and he's ADHD, too; so you can imagine how he was!)
trying not to think about it....:o0
The good news is that he will be glued to his computer most of today just to catch up with where he should be' though!

Sleeping at the wrong times. I was just kidding about Netflix
Iron shots do help if you need them Ruby; how bad is the anemia? As far as I've seen, the shots do not cause as much constipation as the iron pills (but then again, your hemoglobin must be fairly low for him to choose the shot over the pills)
Because I'm on morphine, I'm reluctant to take iron pills
So was I when I asked if the Netflix caused the anemia! ;-)

I'm loving this spring, so this news kind of knocked me for a loop
Is your weather nice this spring? (Here in MN we are having our "theater of seasons" again; it was in the 80's 3 days ago, now after 2 days of rains its been in the 40's & low 50's (F)
It's still chilly at night but warm weatherr comes back when the rain stops. The garden is spectacular this year but I'm growing tomatoes in potson the deck instead of in the potager
LOL! *my* garden has been taken over by tall spindly dandelions that blossomed out & in (maybe 1/2 hour) bolted from flowers to the flyaway seeds! I don't used chemicals; & I'm sure my one fussy neighbor isn't happy that he lives right next to that dandelion patch!
(It was supposed to be a whole bunch of perineal plants ; but it looks like I lost about half of them.
The dandelions here are huge but what used to be grass is full of "wild flowers" (weeds) and moss
Hi all - sorry to see that you're having a tough time, Ruby. Hope things are back on track very soon.
The first couple of years I put in hollyhocks, lupin, foxglove and MANY other plants that flowered only once or twice
I don't even remember what all I planted last year; bee balm, colyopsis (sp?), some sort of perennial daisy and asters (or at least they looked like that) and several plants that are very dead this year.
The second year I had more than 300 tulips planted. One year later there were about 100. The third year about 10.
I think that the locals dig them up for winter

I know how tough it was for my son; but other than giving him a ride to his attorney once for an emergency meeting; I stayed out of his business. (it was very hard, though, because they were both living here in our house until she moved out!)
I am responsible for half of that debt.Think it is ironic because I worked my ass at a steady job for 19 years.I have a great retirement, a 403b and a savings account with credit union. He is entitled to half of the money I have. I am also entitled to half his money, but he has no money.I'm also entitled to half his debt. So he gets my money & I get his debt.
