BOTTOM ROW GREY!

12:40 am

anyone have a clue for he7?

12:42 am

he7 is pl of the he6 before it

12:43 am

the only he I have cannot be pluralized

12:44 am

he6/7 are words that talk about the best part of your life. The he7s of summer

12:44 am

Also: compound, and alternate spelling than you're probably used to seeing it

12:45 am

thanks sam and nono

12:46 am

12:47 am

. . . why is de 6/30 a word?

12:48 am

. . . I mean, really, who thought there was a need for that word? Why did that come about?

12:48 am

don't know. didn't get it yet...

12:48 am

clues welcome hint hint..

12:48 am

i think it predates the de7 (not on the grid) word that it sounds like.

12:49 am

extend de 5/14, which is most people's second worst fear after public speaking, and then ask yourself WHY THAT WORD IS NEEDED in any language

12:53 am

I don't know. Sounds like a word that might have been invented on the Colbert Report

12:55 am

*snrk* Not inaccurate

1:06 am

1:58 am

yw, I'm struggling with my last 6: I don't think lickety is up yet

1:58 am

it's not ...weh

1:58 am

1:59 am

hurshy has list in profile

there are some good useful clues in the chog, though

2:01 am

yw

I doubt you'll need a clue for your last H after looking at the list, jbp, but I have it if needed.

2:03 am

i had to go back for the singular. ;-)_

2:05 am

so if hurshy is not online, how do I get to her profile?

I went to the rankings and did control-f and then searched for Hurshy.

I'm sure there's an easier way, lol

2:06 am

smart!

2:06 am

i went to rankings and looked for her name and clicked on it

lol, doris, your eyes are working better than mine - I scanned all up and down and couldn't find her profile.

2:07 am

ok, so i need an 5/10... i have insect-a-plural...

try the other plural form, jbp

ugh, my last word was a missed plural. I do hope I wake up at some point this morning :/

2:10 am

i know it's an an 5/10, and my only other one is the one i gave and it's plural

end that one in a vowel instead

2:10 am

ah, latin roots will be the death of me!

2:11 am

congrats on fireworks!

2:11 am

i have 2 left... will see if I can revive my monkeys

ty ... can I help with clues before I go?

2:11 am

2:13 am

i would swear I typed that in before... thx.

2:13 am

2:14 am

Good morning

4:04 am

So far, dog walker came and gardener just arrived. The garden looks like a jungle but the tomatoes are starting to ripen!

4:18 am

There is nothing like sun ripened tomatoes.

I only eat tomatoes when they are from the garden. The one is the store aren't Worth the trouble.

4:49 am

4:49 am

4:58 am

There is no substitute for fresh. Fresh strawberries and fresh peaches come to mind. Once you have had those, the ones that masquerade as strawberries and peaches in the grocery stores don't come close.

the one before the 7 is the one I am looking for?

5:26 am

I don't have any 6 or 7 letter words yet.

the he6 that comes before the he7, please?

5:33 am

The singular of the 7

5:34 am

Ah...finally got the HE 6/7

5:35 am

5:35 am

HE 6/7 - what the best time of your life is often called.

5:35 am

Now I only have 6 left

5:37 am

Does anyone have a list in their profile?

5:37 am

I have Hurshy's list in my profile

5:38 am

ty Molly

5:39 am

Whenever the previous day has Lickety at one off from the regular grid, the next day Lickety will be late. Somehow, that one word difference messes with his program.

5:41 am

Thanks for explaining

5:42 am

ok...down to the last one.

5:42 am

Not much of a problem with the smaller grids. Usually a problem with the larger grids since there are those who will not work with any list but Lickety.

5:43 am

Hello again. 10 left

5:46 am

Can't seem to get that last SA 5/14

That last word was a good find because I am hungry and it is time for breakfast. I won't be having that though :)

5:50 am

I have that one, but ty anyway

5:50 am

I like clues that make people think. Unhappy = sad. Then, what would a two letter word for man be.

5:51 am

Take care all.

6:37 am

9:27 am

pl noggin

9:28 am

I have that one.

9:28 am

9:28 am

9:28 am

Yes.

9:28 am

that was my last word to find, it hid from me.

Are they running out of words?

9:29 am

Hi Trif. Are things better than yesterday?

9:29 am

5/22?

9:29 am

Then that's what I need--he5/22.

9:29 am

Got it.

9:30 am

hi scrabbler, person in question was medflighted last night to a much better, bigger hospital. cat scan, aspirations, infections disease specialist. Trying to stave off amputation. patient is responding to meds now, thank GOD

Great news, Trif.

9:31 am

9:31 am

thank you for asking

9:31 am

Is it a MRSA infection?

9:32 am

Dr Scrabbler was immediately worried after getting some info yesterday. I went right into doc mode.

9:32 am

I don't think so - something about grand long rods? staph or strepto variant I think

9:32 am

Gram negative rods?

9:33 am

I didn't write it down, I'm sorry

9:33 am

Staph and Strep are Gram positive. Refers to Gram stain.

9:33 am

9:33 am

Thanks for the update. Now I have to shop for mom and visit her. I am departing on vacation in the morning.

9:34 am

9:36 am

that is fantastic!

9:36 am

he6/30= he5/14 + sometimes vowel.

9:37 am

The 2nd he5/14, bichon. And now I must say farewell. Mama summons me.

10:18 am

I KNEW it was an F key but just couldn't remember which one. Thank you for reminding me.

10:22 am

FW. Here to clue if needed

10:26 am

dont know about anyone else but I find the yi4.7 singularly unpleasant

11:04 am

There are a lot of racially and ethnically "unpleasant" words. They are still words and are still playable in a word game like this, or Scrabble.

They allow dago for example

11:07 am

They allow cunt too and that seems to set people here off every time it shows up in a grid.

oh gosh, I have 4 3 a's and an s. 4s and a 5.

now I have an s and an a.

11:51 am

Well that was a quick one. I am done in less than 30 minutes! Thank you Molly, I used the list in your profile.

I have an se4/4, sa5/14 and two sa4/5s. What am I missing

5:30 pm

Question for someone far better in math than I am (and I suspect that's everyone on here...) So I have a total of 870 items, of which 11 are red. So I think I divide 11 by 870 to get the percentage of red items, which comes out to 0.01. If I'm reading that right, that would be one tenth of one percent, right? But that doesn't seem right.... help!

5:34 pm

I'm thinking it through that 10% of 870 would be 87, and so 1 percent would be 8.7. SO it doesn't make sense that 11 would be smaller than the 1 percent.

5:40 pm

You've missed out the 100 bit of the division to make it a percentage. You have 0.012 i.e. 1.2%

5:40 pm

So 1.2% would be 11?

5:42 pm

1% is 1 in a 100. or 10 in 1000; 11 is close to 10, and 870 is closer to 1000 than 100, so yes 1.2%

5:42 pm

1% is 1 in a 100. or 10 in 1000; 11 is close to 10, and 870 is closer to 1000 than 100, so yes 1.2%

5:43 pm

Ah, I just checked it, and of course it is (close enough). THANK YOU, scouser! Do you need any clues from me? And thanks for the explanation - that will help when I tackle the other figures.

5:43 pm

and I don't know why it sent it twice!

5:43 pm

I only just started on the grid so I should be OK. Thank you anyway.

5:44 pm
