good morning all
{{sprite}} good morning dear one how are you? and how was your yesterday and night? xoxox
*hugs rose* Hello dear friend, good evening to you and your beloved. I am fine. Bit of a bumpy night, no doubt some processing of the dentist terrors, lol. Otherwise, all is well. I cooked a curry yesterday and it was to die for. Also made a prayer booklet for OA and am now translating it. Might give it as a present to other fellows there.
how about you? How was your night and how did your day go?
night was good. alas don seems to have picked up another nasty bug. very sore throat. he had a script for some anti's so he went and had it filled. he is very sleepy too. not liking this at all.
aw poor man :( Are you giving him your miracle mixture lemon drink?
i am managing okay now. getting breakfast was a bit difficult as i can't take any meds until i have eaten.
i can't get out to buy some lemons. this is si frustrating, not being allowed to drive, and the walk to the shop is too far.
ugh yeah, that is a nasty challenge. I know that feeling.
can you ask a neighbour to bring you some?
i have given him warm salt water gargles though which are helping.
honey, question about bipolar. my next door neighbour had her meds changed just before we went away. she was a little catty but not too bad. but now she is being down-right spiteful to me.
that might be more her nature than the meds, though I am no expert. Bipolar behaviour tends to vaccilate between being on top of the world with the sky as the limit, and very depressed and inactive.
she critisises my clothing, very loudly, saying i hate that and where did you get those dreadful pants. then yesterday at the luncheon, i found her pulling apart a sandwich i had made, with her bare hands, saying, accusingly there's no cheese in this.
could it be she is jealous of your grand tour? Or miffed because you have not asked her to look after mail and plants?
wow, that is really spiteful behaviour
not to mention bad manners. Am sorry, honey, you absolutely do not deserve that.
i just don't understand her actions or words. all i have ever done is tried to encourage her, and build her spirits.
perhaps you should ask her if her mama has not taught her better manners.
i have never been derogatory about her clothes and habits. just accepted her for where she is and who she is.
she sounds like a lady who needs that very much. But don't let her walk over you, my dear friend. It is very much okay to let her know you do not appreciate her attitude.
nah, don't think so sprite. i don't want a tit for tat thing happening. might have a word with the vicar perhaps.
anyways..... how's my favourite family in the whole of the Netherlands?
sometimes it is hard to understand other people's behaviour. Don't have to tell you how people can take offense at some tiny thing and turn all nasty, and don't even accept honest apologies but insist on hanging on to their feelings of being slighted. This might be something like that, some innocent thing you said or did that she took the wrong way and is now obsessing over.
ahhh, good point. i do have a weird sense of humour. mayhap i did slight her.
oh, we are fine :) Tomorrow I am gonna play taxi for Caya and some of her friends, driving them to the ferry to one of our islands for a short holiday.
how good you are sprite. i hope the friends appreciate it. i know Caya will. is the weather being nice?
well, that would be a better way to handle it, maybe. You might ask her if you have done anything that hurt her and if so, that you are very sorry her feelings were hurt. It might clear the air. Though from experience I must say that sometimes it won't. But at le5 you will have tried and done all within your power to solve it.
are they camping under canvas?
nah, it is a pleasure to do something for our kids. And yes, Caya always appreciates it a lot and her friends are, according to her, amazed at her parents. We got a good rep, lol. But it is plain normal parenting and loving.
yes, they are.
i wonder how much sleep they'll have?
caya is an experienced camper, so I think they will be fine.
hm, brick wall at 2/3.
need a bit of a hand, honey?
nah, second wind will kick in at some point. This is about normal for me, a brick wall at around 2/3 or 3/4. And then, a little later, it is like a curtain is lifted, lol.
the last few grids were easier, no brick walls there.
thanks for offering though :) *hug*
strange as it may seem, i love the bigger grids.
oh yes, I love that feeling you get when you can enter whole series of words.
not a lot of runs in this one i'm afraid.
no, definitely not. But that is fun in its own way. Certainly challenges my sleepy brain
challenged my unsleepy brain.... lolll no surprises there
*grins*
yep, second wind hit. 15 left
wowie !!
somehow that always makes it clear to me that whenever you get stuck in life, it is enough to have faith and wait, and things will start solving themselves.
too true
fireflies. That was fun :)
WTG SPRITE!!! may you have a lovely day full of good things. hugs to you and Rob.
sweetie, I am gonna score a cup of coffee and then work on my prayer translation. I wish you a good evening, a peaceful night and a blessed day. Give Don my very best and wish him well. And please, sweetie, take it easy on yourself. *hugs*
I'm back! Have sent you an email Rose
Hello?
Hello, ((Ruby))
It is a beautiful day here! The humidity has dropped and, though still hot, it's lovely, and there's fruit
epts
oops
((zzoozz))
The heatwave in europe has not come to the UK. A blessing for a lot of people I suppose. Although I would love it.
PMy only problem is that I ned a ride to the pharmacy, but will just have to drive myself -- not a good idea, but I don't think I have a choice
I love the heat but when it's really humid, it's noy so pleaxant. But it's better than winter!!!
Morning Ruby and Zooz! Hope all is well...(and I agree - I hate winter)
How coild is it there?
May I have stats, please, for the N in the last column?
HiMatty
Sorry to hear that, Ruby. No neibour there to drive you?
Hello, Matty. NE 5/10 & plural
I asked one, so far, but she immediately syarted making excuses!
Thank you!
It is around the 19C here, Ruby.
I need those n's, too, will hunt
Can give you more of a clue if needed, Ruby.
Would getting a taxi not be feasible, Ruby?
I have the meds, so the pharmacy will just have to wait for thr scrips.
Ah that is okay then!
Here you have to give the perscription before you get any meds.
A boy comes to walk the dogs and feed the birds when the housekeeper isn't here and they just came back and I offered Camember to Raffie. She likes chevre, Rfie doesn't. He likes brie and Camember, she doesn't.
They are so funny!
They both like cream cheese.
Give the scrps to the lad and a few euros and send him on his way :-)
The pharmacy knows me and it's just a continuation of the same drugs
Nice to see the dogs have their own individual tastes lol
It's to far and on a Dangerous road and he would do it on his electric bike, but I am reluctant to send him.
Chow chows are definitely specuial: Tjhey make many lists of 10 most: beautiful, expensive, most Dangerous, least smart! hahah
I am sure he will be fine, Ruby. Could just ask if he would not mind and it does not matter if he does not want too.
LOL yes I can imagine!
He would do it and I always pay him, but if Something happened to him, I would nave forgive myself.
never*
I kind of understand, Ruby. But I think you are worrying about his journey a bit too much :-) He wil be fine.
can't find those pesky n's
NE + most of the sausage in pastry.
I think l'm particularly dense this morning
In fact i like the mini sausage ***l on a stick and warm not keen on a sausage ***l cold.
ne + ....out the barrel without the double consonant at the end
We'll have a barrel of fun!
Which is a lot better than a barrel of monkeys. : D
:-)
Okay bath water is ready. Time for a soak. Happy babbling everyone!
Back. The boy was here to do the little chores but I'm stuck w/out driving.
need to run some errands and can't
Nothing earth-shaking, just annoying

stats for 2nd column lowers e, pls, or even a clue
re7 xhat one has for the "finishers"
Aretha Franklin sings about Re7
Molly's clue is much better!
Your clue was fine. That song just starts playing in my head whenever I see the word.
Do you sing it with a little dance?
People are so Strange; they are always saying "If there's anything I can do to help" and then, just noiw, one called and I asked her to drive me 5 minutes away, she said that there is too much traffic!
Always, always dance to Aretha music. How can one not? As for people, yes, they are often saying "if there is anything I can do" but rarely follow through on that.
And she called me!
ruby, what stats did you want at 5:22?
This grid is full of Fr words, some of themnasty lol
Hi, Byz, anything for the lower l in 2nd column
la 5/16 --- the immature, wingless, feeding stage of an insect that undergoes complete metamorphosis.

Thanks. I didn't see the other a and had tried it with an e
lo 5/18
It's OK; I have more than half, nbt and nbs
correction: lo 6/18
Now, if you'd just hurry on over and drive me on my errands, I'd be very happy
add, genuine
Nah, I'm happy anyway!
I think even if I hurried might not be fast enough to get the errands done today
See you later
I'll manage, but thanks, I have plenty of meds and food in the house
Be well, Ruby
Thank you. I even have a few blackberries from the garden
where do you live, ruby?
I was just asking, ruby......maybe I can drive you to your shopping places.
Well, you'd have to fly to France
How long can you wait?
hello friends
hi trif
hello hurshy!
give me my propers when you get home
oh! Thank you!!!
saw coldplay last night - what an amazing show!!!
oh yeah? nice
it was everything you want in a show - pyrotechnics, lights, confetti, warm summer night with clear skies, good friends, cold drinks.....and the band was in absolute TOP form.
hmmm. my favorite concert that i've been to didn't have pyrotechnics, lights, or confetti, lol
I'm there with you, hurshy, usually I am more....pared down? But boy, it was overwhelming how much "show" was in the show

Good Evening
For being a "smaller" grid for the weekend, it is tricky. I have just 1 C word & haven't found anymore in spite of the fact that I've actually printed the grid out & worked on it off & on all day.
back - 46 to go. getting tough.
I have 66 left & am struggling with it, Harry
I don't have patience to struggle this evening Nef. Will probably list soon.
barvage: the stuff discarded from a tavern.
