oops sorry wrong box
blame the silly layout of the site :)
No blame me for not concentrating
day was busy. started with dishes and cleaning jars ready for the ladies at church. then i cleaned out the cupboard in the bathroom, removing out of date stuff, and then i cleaned the bathroom itself. whew !! don has started up again, removing bricks from the fireplace between the kitchen and laundry.
hi there Rose and hugs to you and Sprite - and hoping that your next trip will be to western Canada???
yay !! maisie!! hugs and kisses for you too dear lady.
wow, busy lady!!
wow, going strong there, rose
All that cleaning then he starts making a mess, not good
lol
and i had a great idea for the kitchen. when we remove current cupboards we are going to put in a floor to ceiling display unit, with cupboards at the bottom. this way we don't have to move the current door into the kitchen.
wow nice, sounds like a good idea
Hi and hugs, friends
Big job Rose but sounds lovely
{{liz}} hugs and kisses for both of you.
Hi Liz
*hugs Liz* Hi there, I hope the both of you are okay and had a nice day?
Like your idea for the kitchen, Rose.
Quiet day here. Hubby had an appointment, so I cooked him a surprise b'day cake. Just back from the gym.
Hope it does take as long to finish as mine is
happy birthday to hubby!
it would empty two display units currently in the loungeroom, and would probably take all out good china and glassware.
hi Liz - lovely birthday surprise!
*our*.
Not til the weekend but I wanted it to be a surprise. Then our anniversary on Sunday. Busy weekend! But thanks.
hippo birdy to Peter
Happy Anniversary
Thanks
Thanks also, flosey
and a happy anniversary to you both
and wow!! happy anniversary too
We deliberately got married the day after his b'day, so he'd remember the date!
lol!
roflolll, and did it work?
Good idea Liz, mine neverremembers our anniversary
Yes!
Well, I learnt because I always had to remind him of my birthday!
mwah..... had my pneumovax on Monday. it is now the size of a serving spoon. so hot, and quite tender.
He remembers my birthday, it's too close to Christmas to forget
what is a pneumovax?
vaccination against pneumonia
Mine too but we don't celebrate Christmas, so that doesn't help!
Good idea, Rose
aw, poor Rose. *cooling kisses*
over 65's get it for free.
Yes, loads of sympathy too.
I hate needles but due to have my travel injections next week
Oooh! Where are you off to?
China
not fun, Maisie, but necessary.

Exciting.
Are you gentle then Rose
I bet Rose can give them without you even noticing

Nurses are always better than doctors in my experience. Apologies to any lurking doctors!
absolutely, besides it would mean another trip over there... loll
Now that would be good
very true, Liz. They get a lot more experience for sure
Aha! Good scheming.
lots of my patients would ask, when are you doing it? and i would say, all done
You're booked!
:D
Not surprising, You're a gentle person.
my patients were never used as a dart board.
OK time to go shower. BBL. Hugs to you all.

sweet dreams dear flosey
i'm not seeing june tomorrow. her sister is visiting. might take DH out for lunch i think.
sounds like a plan
what's on for you today, honey?
nothing much, methinks. Internet meeting at 10, I hope. Bit of writing and translating, bit of pebble painting. Walking Terra. And baking bread.
oh, and cleaning the kitchen :)
good luck with the bread. the only bread i ever tried to make we used as door stops.
am making spelt bread atm, so far it looks like Rob can eat that without triggering gout attacks. It is very tasty. But in the bread machine, am still learning to bake without the machine.
you will succeed at it i am sure.
in the end, yeah. It takes lots of practise.
fireflies. Not a bad grid. We might be in for a real biggie soon, if the gerund will form.
WTG SPRITE !!!
*hugs* and lots of love for the both of you, darling. Sleep well tonight and have a wonderful day tomorrow.
hugs and kisses for a great day, honey. hugs for Rob too.

ut5/12 - a useful French word.
hi Haz and thank you
You're welcome, peri - and hello.
good to see you Haz
bbl
Bye, peri.
Hi Haz! How are you? I miss seeing you here!
Hello, Scrabbler, I'm well, thanks. How are you?
I am doing well. How is your husband? Do you have a dog?
Husband is fine, still working but starting to think of retirement in a couple of years. I have a little blue roan cocker spaniel (5 years old).
He's called Dempsey and is very handsome. We've just come back from a rainy walk and he's having a nap.
I just looked at Google photos--beautiful dog.
His beauty causes him to be excused most things.
Same with most animals and very young children.
I know. I'm something of a pushover with him. He's the living embodiment of the Olivia Newton John song 'Hopelessly devoted'.
How about your bunnies, still hopping along?
I currently have 2 rabbits: Remy Martin is a 3 yr old tri-colored mini-Rex and Sir Gulliver Rabbit is an 8 yr old helicopter boy--one ear up, one ear lop.
That must look quite endearing (the lopside ears).
I know you looked after your grand-nephews for a while. I thought you were heroic. They're doing well?
It is.
I see the boys every Monday afternoon and they are doing well. Their parents (long separated) both need to mature into respectful adults though.
The parents growing up seems to be a harder problem than the boys. I'm sure the boys appreciate all you've done for them.
That was a very tough 6 months for everyone--me, the boys, and the entire family. I still cannot believe that I was a foster mother for 6 months.
The boys are just 5 and 2.5 so too young to understand, and I am not sure they will remember that they lived with me.
The older one will
Sometimes you just have to do things because it's the right thing to do and taking things one day at a time is probably the only way to get through it.
Hi bichon.
If you stay in contact with them, they're bound to remember you and be thankful. If they have any sense, that is!
Hi Scrabs, Haz
That is what I did, Haz. I did what I had to do, knowing it was finite, and I just loved those boys everyday.
Hello, bichon.
I know it was tough for you but I was really rooting for you.
I lost 20 lbs and was exhausted.
Goodness, I must see about fostering boys immediately. I could do with some weight loss.
The exhaustion I could do without.
Yes, it was a very effective weight-loss program--foster 2 toddlers for 6 months.
I was a single, working mother at age 56. It was challenging.
I w onder if that could be worked into a maths exam question? If a woman loses 20 lbs in 6 months with 2 toddlers, how much weight would she lose in a year with 4?
And now I must go to work and earn money.
Hope your day goes well, Scrabbler.
Good one, Haz. I need to lose more weight still.
But you're fit and active, that counts for a lot.
anybody have the fifth column second E?

Helloeverybody
... good morning ruby
128 words this morning, but fell asleep after lunch
Do is still licking and it seems to be his "dewclaw" (is that the right word)
Your were all very kind yesterday
... too many w ... unless that's the French
I was just guessing, no idea of the French
I just looked it up. I think he must have caught the dewclaw on something
... I imagine that a dog would have trouble with that ... I'll bet it is prone to infections from trapped dirt and such ... probably quite annoying for the animal
ruby, did he hurt his dewclaw Can it be removed?
I looked at it but it doesn't look odd, just wet. But if it hurts, that must be why he's licking it.
I keep seeing sinister, that would have been a good word
morning all
me too mael
ruby, it is an easy operation to take off the dewclaw.
give him the benedryl again, it might help to keep him calm when you take him to the vet
or, they can give you drugs for that purpose
how is it posible to not see any N's
and then they come
Are you sure Sue...I asked once about my 3 y.o. dog and was told dew claws can only be taken off when they are very young - too painful otherwise
at least 4 of them
Lynxxx, if it is causing an issue, i think they would have no choice.
after reading a bunch, it is best to let him smoke a joint, and then throw him in the car and take him to the vet. and then like most kids, take him for ice cream after.
ruby, i waited on an absess on my dog until it was a huge surgery and very painful for her. I feel so guilty.

have u been to either of those places owl?
swmbo if you mean the another name for breasts? i got a 7/8 from it not 8/9
passed through johnson city and perhaps franklin, but not terribly familiar with eitner
Johnson City, East TN -- Franklin is south of Nashville
franklin is expensive ot live .. never been to either and i think Johnson city is in the mountains?
i think it will be a mess, with those roads towards ashville
MLF - you need to add a vowel in the middle
yes MLF is right :-)
yes, the scientists say if there are clouds it may be avoided by going over the mountains
franklin is in the middle of nowhere i thought
how?
une am i right about both areas?
staying at someone's relatives; home
franklin is a city
MLF - the end of your word is the name of a book, yes? stick a vowel after the "breast" part
how as in add a vowel?
Franklin is a small town about 20 min south of Nashville
the old part is "old south charming" :-)
nashville is prime viewing i heard
never mind for now about the in 8/9 i gtg will be back....
and with the cma stuff it will be packed
well it was but just now the forecast is for possible thunderstorms
What does the U start with?

Ty, Une.
how about franklin
weather is sooooo changeable!

we're debating whether to drive 2 1/2 hours north to get into the full eclipse zone...but traffic could be really bad
in 7/28, pls
the scientists are looking at the GOES satellite to predict the weather. they saw something in the pacific the other day that will make its way across

BBL -- byeee :-)
ah, nice, which beach?
franklin looks party sunny with chance of showers
OC, MD
nice!
are people in OC, MD obsessive?
Maybe that would make the OCDC.
if that were the case they'd rename their freeway the highway to hell :D
If you've ever driven around DC, all the highways lead to hell.
just when I was a kid
you use the term "drive" rather loosely there judi
if you've ever parked on the highways around DC
Ha. Yes, that would be more accurate, Mool.
I seem to have hit the wall on this grid.
I found that wall a while ago

gu8 - sounds like a deep throaty utterance
Yes, the humidity is back up in the "bad hair" range here too.
I am letting my hair air dry since it has a natural wave and gets wavier in the humidity
not crazy about the look but will keep it until the weather cools off. found a hair stylist who know how to work with wavy hair
looking for the gu8
ti8 - windows and hair can be colored or shaded with a color, but this word is ti8 meaning it hasn't had it's color adjusted...
