Flip!
hi, Nef and all!
hi bud!
rbud
(I don't know which is worse; my typing or autocorrect)
... maybe we're the only ones here... nahhh... ;)
Nope. It says that there are 74 lurkers out there
I am just lurking-- very tired
I'm focused on the grid but here
yes, I picture them typing madly! :D
yay, four corners done, heehee
LOL! I knew ru was here (sorry, ru, I shouldn't have called you a lurker)
hey, that counts in Bingo, doesn't it?
I've got 3 corners AND the center tile. ;-)
ooohhhh!!! :D
maybe we could add some excitement to the old "nbt, nbs" thing by going for a big X or the like, haha...
nahhhh....
i'm down to 20.. but missing some tiles
WTG, ru!
Clues are up
bud; I will often go through the grid and black out letters on purpose just to make a design. Maybe one night I decide that I'm going to black out all of the edge letters first; then the next group of letters; or maybe do all of the rows on the left or right, etc.
Thanks, lickety
aw, i love you nef
thanks, Lickety
hi hurshy. You love me because I'm weird? ;-)
glad I'm not the only one who does weird things in the grid. :)
because you're the same kind of weird as me :)
So; does that make us the 3 weirdos?
shadrach, mo, and aramis?
Umm, I'm not sure if I like those names; how about hurshy, bud & New?
methinks we all may be weird...
“How do you know I’m mad?†said Alice. “You must be,†said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.â€
i just chose members of three different trios cause i thought, what could be weirder than that?
And I just read my last entry & am scratching my head over *that* bad typing.......
a faithful Israelite who survived a fiery furnace, a stooge, and a musketeer would make a highly weird combo :) :)
that's ok, i knew you meant Nef
I see the symmetry, hursh, and the random appropriateness
Very true, harsh.
hahahah!
hurshy! DANG!
"random appropriateness" - that's a good phrase!
to7
finished
thanks for the to7!
YAY, ruru!!! WTG!!!
(& thanks for the 7!)
ia 6 for the lone i, and congrats, ru!
i had the lone i, it's the lone top E and lone bottom A that i can't see
but my typings getting worse & I have another long day ahead of me tomorrow; so I think Need sleep now
yeah, don't have those two yet, either.
at least the y's are easy
ad 6
ahhh thank you broll
yw
en6 for the top E
en6/21, to be more exact
ty
did i miss what the other 7 was because i came in 17 mins after the flip?
haven't seen mention of it yet
k will i'm out with 15 left, falling asleep here, night all
night, hursh! or are you shadrach? ;)
hello
ae7 is the other seven
found a raccoon like creature
and a buffalo
drif t
oops, sorry
good morning all
good morning Sprite
good evening, flosey *hug* How are you today? No more new headaches?
not today thanks Sprite, and fine, played bridge at the club tonight
and how are you Sprite?
ah, wonderful. Good robbers? (if that is the right word)
robbers to me are people who take things that don't belong to them
I am fine, thanks! Feeling the aftermath of all the stress leading up to the party, but that is okay. I can take it easy and be kind to myself, and tomorrow should be a lot better.
good for you, hope you were able to enjoy the party yourself
*giggles* To me too. In dutch, a round of bridge is called a robber. The english robber we call a 'rover'.
slight correction Sprite, it would be called a 'rubber'
I must admit I am not much of a party person. I enjoyed seeing my sister so very happy, and my niece and nephew in finery true to themselves, and meeting a cousin I had not seen in 20 years. Other than that, we were glad when we could leave ;)
ah but so nice to see a relative you haven't seen in 20 years - WOW
ah! That is pretty close. To me, 'rubber' is the plasticky stuff. And a condom. The difference a letter makes :D
both of my parents were from families of 8 kids - so we do have many relatives and most of whom I seldom see
yes, it was great to see him, and meet his wife and children.
oh wow, flosey, those are big families. If you'd ever organise a full family get-together, you'd have to hire a whole party center!
k killed. Had not even noticed there was one in that corner. Sneaky bastard.
for sure!! and I don't think I could handle it - would have to hire someone else to do all the work
indeed. Way too much work for a company that huge.
Hi and hugs :)
but wouldn't it be fun to meet them all!!
*hugs Liz* Hello dear Liz, how are you and your beloved today?
I bet it would, flosey. I'd opt for a whole weekend though, so you could sit through a couple of meals and teas and such with different people, taking your time to connect.
We're fine thanks. Hope all's good with you. Good that the party's over and you're now able to recover and get fully back on track with your life.
Hello
Very happy Flosey, that you're headache free today :)
Hi Ruby - hope all's good with you.
I have an old friend whose mother (now 92) is one of 12.
all in all, it was a healing experience, Liz. To know he really doesn't have power over me anymore. Took a lot of hard work and wow, it is great to feel it gave the results I hoped for.
Wow! I come from a small family and that suits me fine.
That's great, Sprite and the other positives you mentioned are very good to read.
Sye has a lot of money and arranghged for a re_nion every year with all the auntaz, uncles, children, grtrandchildren, etc; in places like Hawaii and rents whole hôtels or ships or several houses for everyone.
thanks for having my back all the way. It is still amazing to me how powerful that is, friends who support you and think of you.
There are many sets of twins and even two sets of triplets
Again Wow! I'd love to meet up with my Canadian cousins again - it's a long time since I saw them.
That's what friends are for, Sprite.
is that the direction your next long journey will go, Liz? To Canada?
My friend, my age, alrrady has 7 grandchildren!
Must be tired. I have one 7 and no 6
6s and am over half way
No Sprite - no idea when we'll get over there again - perhaps when one of the kids gets married. France and Italy next.
I can't imagine such a big family!
true to form, 3x6 here but zero 7s. :D Yeah, true friends do that, Liz. And I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you all.
two beautiful countries, Liz. You'll have a wonderful time, no doubt. Any stop-over in Amsterdam? :)
Growing up, l had many cousins and aunts and uncles, but now only 5 cousinbs left and we're all over the place
I can give you stats for the 7 I have if you'd like. And thanks for spurring me to find the k
Not this time - we're doing a boat trip from Chalon sur Saone to the South of France and then by bus to Rome via lots of lovely places.
thanks for the offer, I'll happily stumble along a little longer though.
No problem
oh wow, sounds like a wonderful holiday, Liz.
if you'd like stats for the 6s I have, I'll gladly share
I'm sure it will be and no doubt we'll come back with another 20000 or so photos to sort through!
I'm also fine for the moment, thanks.
no doubt indeed. It will take ages to sort them, but such fun
all good :)
We enjoy the sorting and then we'll make another photo book as a record for us.
quite tired tonight, think I'll call it a day and come back to this tomorrow, good night all
I'm still waiting for Don to send me pictures of their stay here. Unpleasant things like flu get in the way.
Sleep well, Flosey
I'd love to see their photos too.
ty Liz
bye flosey
sleep well, flosey *hugs* And sweet dreams to you.
Flu isn't fun.
no, poor Don. I hope he will feel better soon.
Indeed.
Miserable to come back from a fabulous holiday and then to get ill.
very true.
I've been meaning to ask, did the whales show up for the trip with your friends?
(sidenote: I want coita to be the plural of coitus)
Quite a few whales but not very active but they enjoyed it. There were many more whales today than last week. Then we went and had a lovely lunch and then we watched the huge bats we have here sleeping in their trees. Now they're resting or looking at photos and I'm doing this!
I tried coita too.
wonderful! Glad they enjoyed it all. And glad I am not the only one to try that word.
They've only got another 2 days here :(
sounds like you'll miss them.
would love to see those bats too, in flight. We have tiny ones here and I love them.
We have huge fruit bats, also known as Flying Foxes. Just like the Batman image. Hordes of them fly over our house at night but they eat the mangos :(
sorry about that mangos but wow, that must be a sight!
It really is and visitors here are amazed by their size.
amazing creatures. You have lots of those there in Australia.
We do. I love living here.
Thankfully I've never seen anything really nasty.
that radiates from everything you tell about it :) It is quite a pleasure to enjoy it vicariously (sp?) through you.
Oooh! Both 7s killed. Still no 6s.
Correct spelling.
woooot well done Liz! I made it to 4 6s. Still not a single 7 though.
Got a 6 - because of the 7 I found.
And a 2nd one!
thanks for the spelling check!
gooooo Liz!
hah, one 7 found
Goooo Sprite :)
Good morning all, been away babysitting for my son but back now
:)
Saw your post about the party sprite. Well done you x
Just going to process a couple of bat pics for you Sprite - perhaps after a break I'll find some more words.
welcome home, Maisie, and lovely to see you. Thanks! For thinking of me too.
oh I'd love that, Liz! If it isn't too much work. Thank you!
Email done
and sent!
ohhh am gonna look right away
wow! They are really huge! The dutch ones are hand-sized at most, full wingspan. Those on your pics are... mammoths compared to them. Beautiful.
UK ones are probably similar to the Dutch ones. I wish I had one of them in flight - it's so Batman!
not easy to catch them in flight, I guess. At least, the ones I know have rather erratic flight patterns.
Help with the lowest a in the middle column, please?
ad6/30, floating along
And for that matter, with the 3 at the top of the same column. Thanks for the a :)
Just got that and it gave me 3 other word
WTG Maisie - the sad thing is, I had the other words but not that.
good job, Maisie
en6/21 for that E, I think
Typo - that was meant to say e not 3!
Looking and thanks
thought so, lol
Funny how we get word blind and miss the obvious
babble blindness. It is a real thing.
I have to say, all those A-something words, like afire and ahorse and this one, are words I always miss.
Yes thats definitely it - Babble blind. Not even treatable
nope, no cure for that. Good thing it is balanced out by our ability to spot words like crwth and ywis and inia.
And the buffalo of course :)
Never used any of those in a sentence
yeah, the flipping buffalo, lol. Fireflies!
What's the buffalo?
Congrats, Sprite
an 4, Maisie
it is in my babble idiom list under buffalo babblet.
Oh is it in todays puzzle if I know the word I didn't know it was abuffalo
Lol will look sprite
over time, you le5 the weirdest words and their meaning in babble. My brain is a holding cell for scores of words I know and will never use casually :D
yeah, it is in today's grid, it is the only an word.
Never even think of those words except when they appear in babble.
I had that
the worst thing is playing another word game and spotting those words, and then finding they are not valid in that game's word list!
Just going to have a proper look at your list
well, there you are, meet the buffalo. :D
That's funny and so enable!!!
true, dat, lol
4 to go.
goooo Liz! I'll wait until you FW.
That's nice of you but don't delay if you've other stuff to do.
I am taking things easy today. Just shopping and cooking to do, and singing lesson tonight.
so let me know if you need help :)
Using Lickety now
that always helps with those nasty last few
Wow that must have taken you ages to do, well done
Fireworks - that was frustrating! The last one was a tr4, that I could've sworn I'd entered.
it has grown over time, Maisie, am adding to it whenever I find something appropriate. I enjoy it :D
Time to go and process today's batch of photos. Thanks for hanging around, Sprite and hugs to you. Bye Maisie too. Hope you both have a lovely day.
Bye Liz you have a good day too
wtg Liz!!!!!!!!!!! *hugs* and have alovely evening
Actually looking at the time I'd better be off too. Bye Sprite and anyone else who is here, see you tomorrow
*hugs Maisie too* I am off too, have a grand day all

Oh that facial spasm. It gets so much play here.
That's a fact, Molly! I'm unimaginative. But it worked!
You have a great imagination Champ.
Oh for goodness sake! Just found the oc6/21. It's amazing how easy it is to get stuck thinking a letter can only go ONE way.
We are not taught to read in spirals. That is one of the many reasons this game is so difficult
