I actually like it better when lickety comes in later. I'm gr5ful for the list, don't get me wrong, but it's fun to work at it among ourselves, too.
for the volunteer work I do, we come together with our trainer and our fellow members and discuss some of the telephone or chat conversations we have had in the past month.

I agree, Maisie, never through sniping. But having your first child is definitely a culture shock. Not sleeping the nights through doesn't help matters. And the hormone rollercoaster of pregnancy, birth and feeding is a lady dog. I can understand her being unreasonable.
Our son is the daddy, and he's a bit reluctant to turn into a domestic type. :p

although this little boy is not your son's child, could you advise him, quietly, that to make a fuss of him will make a world of difference.
i don't know how my son did it. he has two step-sons and they both listen to him when he speaks out. my son now has three of his own, and the way he runs his home, in tandem with his wife, is staggering.all the kids heed him.

My parents were getting rid of some of their books and I saved one called 'Advice To A young Christian' and inside the front cover a hand written note from a guy called Henry Hope to a Edwin Wozencroft and it is dated January 29th 1893. and the hand writing is beautiful. Not seen calligraphy like it.
now that is a beautiful keepsake to have. .
Although the book is looking a bit tatty which is a shame. But I could not bring myself to let it get thrown away. So I had it.

My dad said he had a lot of hand written books from the 19th centuary and he sold them all for £3 at the car boot sale. I was gutted and felt sick as I would have snapped those up in a heart beat.

You could slap a diagnosis on everyone in this country and it would not predict who was going to commit a massacre.
Families tend to be in denial about things like that. And getting rid of guns won't completely solve the problem. People will find other ways (home made bombs) to perpetrate their misguided beliefs.

It was a long season. Worse than any we've had in our area.
One of my brothers in Missoula has been diagnosed with ALS (he went to Mayo Clinic here last month); & he asked us to come out there for Christmas. The 5 of us are planning to go out there; it's going to look so different with all of the fires since we were out there 2 years ago.
He thinks this may be his last Christmas. :-(
Very sad, Nef. My heart goes out to your bro, you, and your family. :(

So sorry about your brother. ALS is mean stuff. Actually with snow on the mountains you won't notice as much burn.
LOL! That depends. I have 2 full brothers & sisters; but my Mom died when I was 8 & we were raised by an aunt & uncle with their 1 child (So I think of & call my cousin my sister too since I lived with her longer than any of my other siblings). Then our dad remarried & I have a half sister & a half brother. It's my half brother that has the ALS.
Aww...a big family! That is nice. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 2 years ago. It is slowly taking it's toll on him :(
That's another tough disease. And my hubby has MS. These neurologist-degenerative diseases make aging tough.
Indeed they do! We're learning a lot as we go along. He's got a good attitude which helps to keep us smiling :)
