Good morning
Clues are up
mornin' Maisie. welcome to my nightmare. a grid with no list... lolll
lickety, stand still while i kiss you.
OK now then. I'm putting words in and they are all phantoms
and done. i had 6 to go when lickety posted his list.
good morning all
and wtg rose!!!!!!!!!
good morning dearest sprite. xoxox
*hugs rose* How was your day, darling, and how are you?
pleased with what i have achieved, but i am going to pay for it later. and you, honey?? good or bad night ?
somewhere in the middle. Sorry to hear you overdid things. It is hard, isn't it, learning to pace ourselves.
i know but i a week or two it would have been impossible. our summer is coming at usin a rush.
I hear ya. Sometimes it is simple the best we can do, and we pay for it. *lots of hugs and healing vibes*
i wanted the small bar frig brought in for extra drinks in the hot weather. in the process i spring cleaned 2 of my kitchen benches and everything on them.
simply*
ah :) Looking at those cleaned benches is a great feeling of accomplishment, isnt it?
seeing the gunk i scoured off, yup, sure is a pleasure to see them. it's amazing how much it builds up, especially when the female of the house hasn't had much to do with the kitchen for some time.
I know. Same here. Sometimes I get so discouraged when I realise how much backlog there still is. I can't wait until we are able to sell this big house and build a tiny house somewhere.
where's our Maisie?
oh, it seems she's out chasing squirrels... lolll. i did say good morning to her.
wow, not even halfway and already 2x7. I am improving, lol.
oh my, is the squirrel chasing thing catching??
yup.... you better check around your house... lolll
*firmly stays put* Nah. Nah-hah. Not me.
*giggle*
maisie is no longer online, I see. Sorry to have missed her.
speaking of squirrels, we have a university in the netherlands where the squirrels are plentiful and so tame and used to students they come eat from your hand.
want to see that next time sprite
okay :) It is in Nijmegen, a bit far to drive, but we will find a way. Maybe borrow a bigger car from a neighbour, switch cars for a day.
or we can hire a bigger car when we are there
we'll see when your plans become more concrete. If we want to do a lot of driving around, it might be wise. But if not, it would be a waste of money. Our neighbours are like us, not at all difficult about stuff like this.
we'll rent a wheelchair for you too, rose, next time. It will make it possible for you to see more and enjoy it better.
on the other hand we can all go away for a few days together.
hony. with the wheelie walker anything is possible. don and i both agree the extra cost of bringing it is well worth it.
oh, that would be nice too! Lots of possibilities for a few nice days. Lol, am getting all excited already.
hony? horny? ahhhh honey...loll
lovely. And rose, before you go bring the wheelie walker, let's check if renting one here isn't much cheaper.
a freudian slip if I ever saw one...
would you like to stay at the same place, or should we go look for somewhere else?
hmmm, only if we can have the room with it's own bathroom. i'm sure if we book far enough ahead we should be able to have it.and yes, hiring a walker might be a good option too.
very good
perhaps we good go over to Caya's side of the country. no that would be evre so lovely. honestly, i could just squish that girl so hard, i love her that much.
she is just plain beautiful, isn't she. Such a radiant soul.
some ugly words in today's grid :(
and yes, we could go to Zeeland. That would bring us close to Belgium as well, we might hop over the border for a spell even. Am all bubbly here, jumping up and down in my chair :)
have you tried mobilising with a walker yourself? i love it as i can lean on it thus lightening the amount of weight through my hips and back, and the big plus.... a seat wherever you happen to be.
not yet... maybe I should try it. Not sure I am ready for that though, grin. That would put me straight in with the elderly...
*ducks*
honey, if we are spending 3-4 weeks hter we can do whatever you like, with lots of down time for us both.
just as well you ducked dear. i nearly spurted red wine and lemonade all over you.
it's gonna be so great. Even more relaxed than last time, with that many days to spend together.
zackly.
*giggles* Glad I evaded that liquid blessing
and there are many people much younger than you who use wheelie walkers.
like me for instance....
yeah you are right. Might go look into it one of these days.
lol yes, like you :D
Don has been playing with his new toy. a chainsaw for pruning very high trees. he was quite cross when i told him to stop. he has filled our driveway with bits of tree and i am not gonna go out tere and help him clean it up.
it's Rob's canoe club day again, am home all alone today. Gonna get groceries, walk Terra and then install myself in front of the telly with my knitting :)
very good, darling. If he wants to play, he has to clean up after himself too. He is a big boy now.
sounds lovely. enjoy it.
oh I will. I love him to pieces, but it is nice to be alone sometimes.
i hear you sister of my soul.
:) *hugs rose until she squeaks*
*squeeeeeaaaaaaakkk*
oh... okay... so you want to breathe? Tsk. Unreasonable demands...
or as the scots say so eloquently: hmmphhhh
breathing is NOY over-rated, as one aneasthetist told me.
*NOT*
yeah, right, ofcourse he did. It is his bread-and-butter to keep up that illusion...
wow, those last 12 are like pulling hen's teeth here
yup. some weird ones there.
like i sa4 much earlier, i listed with 6 to go. and they ALL were weird.
okay then... 5 more to go before listing, lol
goooo sprite.
all those again words that are not valid... jeezzz
i tried reshut so many times. i thought that it was quite a valid word. surely one reshuts doors all the time.
indeed. And re + three of the sc4 words too.
ah, found it. And it was an again word, LOL
oh did i tell about one of my horrible dreams i had? when i awoke i giggled so hard i woke don up.
you didn't tell me yet. You were giggling in a horrible dream??
i dreamed i was at the hairdresser. and she sa4 i'll just use your usual colour. when i looked in the mirror my hair was long, way past my shoulders and post-box red.
roflollllll oh my I am picturing it.
see what i mean?? how could you not laugh ??
yet at the time, in the dream, i was appalled.
indeed :) Reminds me of the time I had the hairdresser dye my hair (in stead of doing it myself). When it was rinsed, she said: "Oh dear." That was when I knew enough, lol. It was truly, purely, aubergine purple. She had to redye it to bring back some of the brown.
but that was in my wilder days, so it wasn't too bad. Nowadays, the natural colour will do just fine, though.
oh wow !! it would have looked fantastic. nowadays i have to be careful. over here there a women called the blue rinse, pink rinse and purple rinse brigade. they are all generally over 80.
oh yeah :) I know what you mean. We have them too. They always remind me of Mrs Slocombe from Are you being served.
when i worked in a nursing home i would use mercurochrome, very diluted and gentian violet, also very diluted, to give my old girls a bit of colour in their hair.
aw that is sweet
I am down to 2 and definitely not seeing them. Lickety, here I comeeeeee!
awww tell me first....please.
missing two S words, both 5s. Lickety says they are both Sh.
ouch, that is embarrassing... first one is not weird at all.
last word: sh5/16
be quiet !!
*mum's the word* Not saying anything... nothing at all really... so quiet here...
roflolll... that'll be the day
:D
I'll stock up on sangria spiker when you come. We'll need double the amount for 3-4 weeks ;)
i so adore you honey. can't wait for our next visit. maybe next year.
me neither. It will be great to be together again.
btw WTG SPRITE !!!
not yet. Still looking for the sh5/16
BUT I GAVE YOU A CLUE
oops sorry.
starts and ends the same
ohhhhh it was a clue! Found it, honey, thank you. Fireflies!
lol, don't yell at me, woman!
LOLLL oh dear... have you had your coffee yet?
nope. Didn't go downstairs yet, am about to. It was lovely chatting with you, darling. *hugs* for you and Don, and have a peaceful night, both of you. No hairdye dreams.
hugs and kisses for you both sweetie. xoxox
I like not only to be loved, but also to be told that I am loved . . . the realm of silence is large enough beyond the grave. --George Eliot We've all heard many times that we must love ourselves if we're ever to love another. Too often we mistakenly think that means we shouldn't need to hear someone's affirmation of love. That assumption is wrong. Praise from others builds our self-confidence, keeps us on track, aware of how we're presenting ourselves moment by moment. But many of us didn't develop healthy egos in our youth because we didn't get feedback that affirmed us. We didn't hear we were loved. As adults, we're scrambling to feel confident, to feel sure of our direction and our value to society. And we're hoping to hear we're loved. We can be certain someone close will be helped by hearing our words of love.
well said
