Wow. That was the greatest baseball game I have ever seen
It was even better than the greatest baseball game ever in game 2.
No kidding
yes it was! wow!!
Such great teams. Just incredible
It is good that tomorrow is an off day but I don't see how either bullpen has anyone left.
Yes. I am exhausted just watching it
And now I must go off to bed.
Good night wht
good morning all
Hi and hugs Sprite. How are you and how was your canoeing trip?
*hugs Liz* I am fine, thanks. Canoeing was very exciting, high waves (and an open canoe), about at the limit of what our boat could handle. We worked as a team and got through, had a terrific quiet night with campfire and a half moon over the lake. It was amazing.
Sounds lovely - just what you needed - a lovely getaway.
it was very good for both of us. Or all three of us... Terra had a lovely time too. How are you and your beloved doing?
We're fine. Just had a lovely few days with Melbourne family who were staying in the area for a few days.
that sounds great. Nice to be able to spend some time together.
It was. Now life is back to normal which is also good.
here as well. I love 'normal' when it comes to my life. :)
Normal is good :)
the older I get, the more I value 'normal'. And the more of normal I need to balance out the exciting and new stuff, too.
I think that's very true. The "exciting" stuff is great - you look forward to it and then enjoy it but also enjoy getting back to normal.
Perhaps we're getting boring!!!
*giggles* You, never. I, for sure. When I sit on the couch, with my knitting, watching a series on netflix, I am boring as can be and happy as a clam.
Sounds good - though not so sure about the knitting!
am knitting a sweater fair isle style, with owls and leaves. It is gonna be pretty and so lovely to wear, such soft yarn.
That sounds lovely.
Not that I need it here, but my fav sweater is one my mum knitted for me - like you say, so soft.
Perhaps I'll need it one day. Certainly not throwing it out.
must be amazing, living somewhere where you just do not need sweaters. Here, autumn has set in for real now. We had a very long after-summer, with mild temps for the time of year. But now it is getting cold. And wet, and stormy. Definitely sweater weather.
I love it, that you still have a sweater your mum made for you!
I do use warm clothes on winter evenings and definitely when we go to Melbourne. It's ridiculously warm today - more like summer. Storm season began early. We sat outside last night with our family, watching lighting flashing all around and bats flying in front of the clouds. Amazing.
Time for me to go - lovely catching up. Hugs and keep well.
ohhhhh two of my favorite things, bats and lightning storms. Must have been a splendid show!
*hugs* and have a lovely evening
co5 rooooseeee :) Are you there? I will be off in about half an hour for the monday morning meeting.
and now that the endone has kicked in and i am again something which resembles a human again.... {{sprite}} lots of hugs and kisses.
lovely to see that your little break away was so nice. you so deserve it.
*hugssssss rose* Hello my dear friend. How did you fare post infusion? And how are things now?
pain from FM under control. knee nerve is perfectly nasty. using TENS, drugs, whatever it takes. i also had residual nausea, ketamine headaches and dizziness. all resolving slowly thank heavens.
lol, you would have scolded us for being irresponsible. The waves were too high, Rob was willing to go home. And for some reason, I said YOLO, let's do it. And we really worked as a team and enjoyed it.
doc john has requested permission from Workcover to denervate the nerve again.
yay for the FM pain being under control. At least one thing you do not have to work around. Sorry to hear about the darn nerve. No news yet from workcover about paying for the desensitizing?
how lovely that you both were able to reinforce your teamwork. so important.
oh... lol... crossposts.
it takes about 8 weeks honey, which is why we have requested so early.
re crossposts... just what do you expect when it is us chatting.
okay... I hope they will be prompt. Time for you to be without pain again and able to enjoy living.
have you heard anything from Maisie? i hope she and hubby are having the loveliest of times tgether.
lol too true. Sharing a brainwave. I think of it every time I drink coffee or tea, using the little coaster you sent me with 'Sisters Forever' on it.
not yet. I hope they are enjoying themselves too much to bother with internet :)
also sorry to hear the rotten side effects of the infusion were bad this time. *hugs*
ohh, you use the coaster ? how abfab. i sort of hoped you would.
every day. Literally.
and my squirrel bracelet broke...*pouting* when don moved the furniture around in our bedsit area he found all the bits and has repaired it for me. i am so happy to be able to use it again.
oh wow! Yay for Don!
darling, i am still so motivated to get things done. yesterday it was a day of perfection. quite warm. don and i went out mid-afternoon when the north side of our house is mosty in shade. we have a rhododendron which is red grafted onto a purple base. over the years the purple has taken over. so we went together, and pruned and pruned. finfers crossed, the red graft will start to develop again. we left one purple branch there, just because.
oh wow, lovely
Sounds gorgeous :)
hehehe, she's back :) wb, Liz!
and i was given some bulbs of what we call Dutch irises. you know the Van Gogh painting. we have them in place now.
Snack eaten - happy me, especially as I had some sort f our freshly baked bread.
I hope they will bloom for you, in plenty
Love Dutch irises.
{{liz}} my darling. i am so sorry i have been remiss in catching up with you both. but i do think of you both and pray that you both remain safe and content.
We’re very well thanks and as ever, enjoying life. Sorry that you’ve been hurting again.
i have planted them beside my dark brown ones and there are some in a pot which i want to plant out too.
the ones in the pot are white, and i have seen some incredible yellow ones.
baking bread has been on the back burner for a bit, Liz. Will pick it up soon though. Calmer times ahead :)
liz, sprite, hurting or not, i am determined to LIVE. i have so many things to be thankful for.
Great attitude.
I hear ya, sister of my soul. Pain is a lady dog but it will not ruin our lives for us.
atta girl, sprite.
Went to a communal challah bake last week. Great fun (50 people) but I prefer our recipe.
*highfives rose*
so Liz, what is the adorable Peter up to these days?
Planting veg and taking photos and spoiling me!
speaking of photos... how is Don doing with the pics of your grand tour?
wrong order... spoiling you co5 first... loll
Ha! No, definitely not.
Yes we’re still waiting to “seeâ€your trip.
good question sprite. he is mostly reliant on my guidance. but i am baaack. i am going to be stronger about requesting so4 of his time for the pics.
goooood! Our patience is wearing thin, LOL
at leas something is getting thin....lolll...certainly not my tushie or waistline..
okay, sorry to be leaving but my time is up for now. *hugs* to all four of you. Enjoy your evening and have a peaceful night!
Have a good day, Sprite. Hugs again
hugs and kisses for my soul sister and her beloved.
*waves to my dearest Dee*
Miss you Dee
BBL. Hugs Rose, if you’re still here.
hugs liz, for you both. xoxox

Hello everyone...Happy Monday

Hi, all. I have two co9s. Clues for the third 9, please? Btw, I cannot scroll thru the Chong on my iPad.

good morning, babblers!
not a word, but sorry anyway
hi Eva
Hi Mama and K!
hello, Dr Scrabs!
How is baby doing? And tired mama?
How is the cute boy doing?
lil man is doing well - dont think i saw you last week, Dr S, but K has had HFMD. he is definitely feeling better (and sleeping better - YAY!) and he is finally starting to look like his "acne" is clearing up. heh
mama is tired, and i think im a little under the weather again, but ill survive. :)
Was he refusing to drink? That is the toughest part with the little ones.
thankfully, no - he was still taking bottles, milk + some water. and he was ok with yogurt + his pancakes. but other solids were a no-go
Sometimes little ones must be kept hydrated by a syringe and Pedialyte.
we did try some pedialyte in his sippy cup. he took one sip and looked at me like "woman, what is this crap in here??"
lol, Eva! Isn't Pedialyte sweet?
its kinda like kiddy gatorade
Haha. It has a low concentration of sugar, for optimum absorption, so the salty taste is not masked.
Gatorade can be diluted 50% for kids over a year, but that still has too much sugar.
hello all
Ah. Well, so much for slipping something by him!
Hi MLFAN
Hiya, MLF!
ive since heard we may have had more luck with the popsicles, but luckily it ended up not really being an issue. he only had a little diarrhea for one day + generally was good about taking his bottles + drinking, so we were safe there.
hi judi!
Pedialyte is salty?
It contains sugar and electrolytes in the perfect balance for absorption. The salts can be tasted because of the (healthy) low concentration of sugar.
I in the corner stats pls?
meanwhile, mama is drinking hot water with lemon + honey. blergh.
scrab sounds like a terrible thing to give to a kid yuck
in5/10 = plural of in4/4
eva my mom used to drink lemon in hot water
Well, I hope our little guy is going to wear a way cool Halloween costume and Eva will post his picture.

Hi Angel!
oh the word I was thinking of is coherce

do you still need the co 8/9/9/?
still missing six c's
hah....i am missing 27 Cs.....a quarter of the words i have left...
figuring that out was depressing... :o(
last night i would enter words and they did not appear....when i noticed i stopped.....a few seconds latter a whole bunch of words was accepted....happened over and over....very weird...
yes.. the game is wonky these days
we had a big storm going up the northeast coast....figured it had something to do with that...
Wonky and Babble go hand-in-hand.
found my last c's finally.. taken a long time
cool...
closed out the I and R now too.. found some 9's
luckily, i am done with the 9s....
the e's are easy
e's are always "easy" :)
I flushed them out in a heartbeat :D
have 2 of the 9s
a's are a little tough.. but wrapped them up
did you use a bow?
not a fun grid for me
yes.. and some scotch tape
i am going very slowly now....86 left...
ooh, scotch tape...my fav
ahead of me pen...128 left here
I think this grid is more worthy of a hot glue gun.
oh, I do like a good hot glue gun, marvellous things
yes,mool....but you will probably finishin the next ten minutes... ;o)
I thought gorilla glue was the no.1 selling glue. And gorilla tape.
not as big a fan of gorilla glue to be honest
I know better than to have a hot glue gun at my house :D
Never wrangled a glue gun myself.
they're awesome
100 to go...just five tiles greyed tho
I believe 10 minute have gone past....still 86 to go
112 left here. Must do some real work now. Probably won't get to finish this beast today. *POOF*

Good evening Babblers.
hello, found some bugs
138 to go
Thanks so much, origami.
Back for my last 134. I actually got started at the flip last night because I was watching the World Series.
Good evening, wht.
the world series kept me up too last night
at least the team I am rooting for won
It's good that there are only two games left at most so that we can get some sleep. :^)
Go Dodgers!!!
Whoa! ASTROS!
I just want something nice to happen to Houston.
They're playing their hearts out. It's been a great series, so far.
I think Houston will recover from the hurricane damage even if the Astros don't win.
I agree Champ. It has been a fun series to watch.
At the rate they are going, game 7 will end in the 15'th inning with one team using a second baseman as a relief pitcher because they have used up their bullpen. The other team will be using an outfielder to pitch.
You're right Molly. We were talking about that this morning. The city will be fine, but we all are really excited for the team and want them to win for them.
A friend of mine's husband just won a trip to Game 6 through a talk show host tonight. He's a first responder, and won with some of his guys. How exciting is that?
Texans are made of sturdy stuff, Champ.
I am rooting for the Astros, but the Dodgers seem pretty sturdy too.
The city is going bonkers. I had to drive into town today, and it was pretty smooth sailing. Think everyone slept in!
I remember in 2004 that here in Boston, the whole city was suffering sleep deprivation during the ALCS and World Series, the games all went so late.
No one was complaining though.
I hate it when Boston teams win - everybody here gets so smug.
woohoo found a 9!
Just found the in9,66 myself.
that's the one I have :)
Y'all are on a roll!
just got nbt. 154 to go.
nice wht
The other nines come at the beginning, Harry.

Good Evening. I have 220 to go but have been trying to find that in9 you guys clued a bit ago; I haven't found that but did find the sc 8/50
If I page you on the in8 to tell you, you would then know it.
in9,66 plural of in8,50 - a communication device.
Thank you who!
wht! Darn keyboard!
lickety has an sc9 -is this a mistake? is the sc8 also a mistake?
Sc 9 is wrong; sc 8/50 is correct
ty nef
Hi Nef
(& I'm not sure why the pl isn't a word)
(even the Enable dictionary thinks it's a word)
I think I am getting Babble Blind. Can I get a clue for the ne6,18?

It's nice that there are so many convenient "S's" on this grid! :-)
37 after a first pass
Can I have a clue for the sc8,45 and sc8,50?
add another consonant, and then a cancerlike suffix
sc 8/50 is a type of cancer
first 5 letters for both words are the same; almost like the whites of your eyes

hi all, long time no see
Hi Gwen! (I haven't been around much; I've had my nose buried in a few books lately!) ;-)
books, ooooh! 8 - )
been moving for what se4s like forever, finally done moving, but not done unpacking. Oy
Did you sell off a bunch of books before the move?
I always think unpacking is a pain.
sold a few, not as much as i would have liked, thoug
that's too bad. There were some really interesting books in your files; I wish I could afford more & had the time to read them all.
sc8....help please!
clued between 9:20 & 9:22, aeb
nvm
(there are 2 of them) Lickety has an sc 9, but Babble doesn't
time to say night night, gotta get some sleep, chow buds
Niters, Gwen.
Hi all -- chuckling in sympath with book
book -- also surrounded by unpacked boxes and wondering where I'm going to put everything
Surrounded by a whole bunch of crap that needs a new home ... redoing my house and getting rid of things. Ugh.
I've laid down the law to my family now that we will be moving to some sort of senior housing in 2 years. I've told the kids that their stuff needs to be out of here before then (& that includes that the son & grandson only have that much longer to live with us); but DH has already started bringing *things* to me & asking if I want this book (or this picture or whatever) so HE can get rid of it! He's Not going through his own stuff!)
not getting anywhere with those am's
2nd me 8/50?
nm
I have an am 5/12, am 4/5, am 5/12 , am 6/24 and the plural. Need clues cyber?
sc 8/50?
Sc 8/50 is a type of cancer, if that helps
I give up; I keep typing in words I've already entered. Good Night & Happy Babbling!
