Co 9
nene
oops - sorry
not seeing that de 7
past tense nan
don't have the 5 or 6 - whichever
de+a short letter
de6/21.de + musical symbol
ty ursh and rose - must be bedtime when I'm missing ones that easy!
off to bed - good night everyone
fw and off to bed, good night all
good morning all
desort - to mess up
btw, rose, our washing machine died and they are coming with another one this morning... may have to leave here without announcing. Will be back to finish, of course
{{sprite}} hugs my dearest friend. what bad fortune to have the machine break-down.
ikr? Each and every time I manage to get our finances in some sort of order, stuff happens :( It brings me down, tbh. Feels like fighting a pointless battle.
*hugs rose* Hello my darling friend. How was your day and how are you feeling?
have sent you an email. still weepy. i think it's the pain from the nerve. using TENS and taking drugs...loll
btw, there had to have been a reason why i transferred some extra into my account this morning.
of course you are weepy, my friend. Pain is a HUGE energy consumer. And I mean huge. You have been in a lot of pain for quite a while , then the infusion with its side effects, and now still that darn nerve pain. It is great the FM is under control for now, but that nerve is draining you. *holds rose in a comforting embrace*
thanx my darling. i wish i was there for real. fortunately i have a good memory of all those hugs when we visited.
ohhhh, *giggle* the last of the acrylic nail varnish has finally gone from my left hand. just a little left on the right. i don't think i am going to forget my visit for ages.
hehehe true, makes it easier to regenerate the feelings of wellbeing we shared while hugging for real.
what? omg! That is amazing, LOL! Poor you. Guess I did a great job applying it :D
emailed you back, darling.
and back atcha !!
all teared up here
gtg, doorbell
back. Good grief, those guys are professionals. Quick as water and very thorough. And in a great mood.
woohoo.
they have taken away the old one i take it?
yes, they have, thank God.
brb, dinner is served... lolll
ah, good, enjoy your dinner :)
and back, plus a call from one of my charities. how are you doing my dear?
tearful, lol. But good. wb, how was your dinner?
yummy. we went out for lunch so dinner was a light meal. and stop that my dearest sweetheart. get used to having a family member who is with you every step of the way.
that will take some getting used to for sure. Apart from my sister, no family member ever had my back in anything. I feel rich, having you in my life.
ugh, why can't I make a past from the an8?
because the 9 is co9, a past tense.
but but but I want two 9s *pouts*
not in this grid sunshine... lolll. and pull that lip in before you trip over it.
*giggles* tough love!
thanks for the co9
and tell Rob, your are my sister, he is my brother-in-law. the like of which i have never had. God bless you both.
will tell him. May the Big Guy bless you and Don too, every day and all day.
nice grid. Quick start, then some interesting words
WTG SPRITE !! hold me close to your heart, as i do you. xoxox
lol noooo am not done yet. Am in the interesting word finding phase. And I will. Always. Hold you close to my heart, I mean.
my eyes are burning. prolly unshed tears. may i help you at all?
shed them, silly sis. Here, on my shoulder. More room outside than in, ya know? And you already helped more than I could ever dream :)
i don't care what anyone says. i love you so much, and miss your physical presence everyday.
anyone saying bad stuff?? I miss you too. Wishing for a Scottie to beam us over every day.
goodnight honey. i hope you have a great time with te new washing machine... lolll xoxox
lollll I will... sleep well, my darling. Dream even better. And take care of you. Love to Don and *hugssss* to you both.
fireflies. Bye all, have a blessed day and a peaceful night
First run through and have found 137 words.
Make that 64 just found the CO 9 :-)
Make that 64 left I mean.
Good day, Babblers.
hi Scabbs, hi all
Hi Periwinkle.
Hello, Scrabbler & Peri :-)
How are you today, Zooz?
All okay here thank you, Scrabs. How are you keeping?
I miss the sun. We are in the midst of almost 2 weeks of rainy, drab days.
Oh yuck! Sounds like England lol. Hope it stops soon for you. I bet you would like it to turn to snow so you can get your snow shoes out!
As I typed those words I thought the same thing--life in England.
coeds
Free word.
Ha yeah it is like tht a lot here. Espeally the Winter months :-(
*Especially
I got my light therapy light out yesterday but it WON"T work! I just bought it last winter, so I am very angry. I need to contact the seller and find my receipt.
That is typical! I think SAD lights are a good invention!.
I take it you checked to see if the fuse might of gone.
I have a big light box but the new one is small and easy to bring on travels. I don't know what to do with it.
Hello everybody! It's cold here, but sunny, so no complaints from mee.
Hello, Ruby :-)
Cold is fine but I need sunshine.
Ruby, I thought of you as I read the book, The NIghtingale. It takes place in France during WWII.
((Scrabbler)) I will give you a virtual hug to try and cheer you up :-)
My son and his wife are visiting this week and it's very heavy going! John is an "expert" on absolutely everything and l, of course, am a know-Nothing idiot!
Ignore him. I bet he is actually insecure.
TY, Zooz.
Sounds like a nasty man, Ruby.
Why would you treat your mother or anyone for that matter like that!
Denise is pleasant but, even though l know she doeesn't like me.,,John is just like his father!!
Prrobably because l'm both stupid andd annoying
(andmake many typos LOL)
Well that is probably what he thinks. But we know different. you are a kind strong lady!
That is probably what he hates..A strong woman. Probably scares him LOL
I am saying probably too much.
Sounds like an unpleasant visit, Ruby.
One of my sisters hates the rest of the family. She says we are all peasants. So we do not communicate at all. And that is fine by me.
I think I have killed thechat so will go and grab a bite to eat. Hope you all have a great day. Happy babbling everyone!
No, zooz, we are trying to protect our Ruby.
lm OK, having been mentally prepared for the worst.
Almost every family has at least one toxic member that disrupts the peace.
They needed to visit, but for me it's more of a chore, not a pleasure.
Sadly I must get ready for work now. Maybe I will return tonight. Enjoy the day.
Hello Ruby - looks like you are the only one here
Bye Scrabs and thank you for your kind wordds
Hi lynxx. Zzoozz and scrabs were commisserating (sp??) about my nasty son who is visiting witgh his wife this week
The three of us are sitting herre , each with his own computer.
Sounds like you need to make a looong list of things for him to do while he is there and keep him out of your hair.
His wife builds fires while he snoops around in cupboards and closets, shlepping all the photo albums downstairs without particularly wanting things identified
He sounds bored - def needs some jobs to do. Gardening? Brushing the dogs (ha! as if they would let him)
You're kçidding, right? l can't even get them to walk the dogs
The dogs love both of them which is very nice for me as, occasionally, Rufe decides to dislike someone and can be really obnoxious about it
And today is a Holiday so no housekeeper and feww restaurants open
That is nice...
so they are making you lunch! nice!
te 7 any hints?
te & down****d*n or under the thumb
tyvm is the 8 an extension of that?
have you tried it?
didn't go thru when I 1st tried ... tyvm
No. l made French toast for a late breakfast and there is plenty of food for dinner. When John shops for food, it's like he''s starving. He's fat, but says that in the US that word is taboo!
that happens to me too - I counted once, took 4 goes b4 it went in
ac 8/50, pls
You mean an8?

YW!
deorted
I would think they would call Animal Control
Yw :)
sorry I was on the D's.
Yeah. We don't do animal control. I told them to call an exterminator. It's probably either a bat, bird or squirrel.
Exactly! Whatever it is, police don't need to be messing with it.
In that case you are correct Judi

ol 4/4
ol 4
ol 4: it is another word for marjarine used back in the 50s....
i can believe it's not butter
thnx
i doubt anyone under the age of 50 would know that word. my grand kids never heard it for sure.
for real, mkg... mine would have the 'deer in the headlights' look if I asked them to define, lol.
i think when it first came out, in the 50s, it was called ol**margarine as one word. it got shortened to ol** and now it is called margarine. not sure why.
coke stayed coke. cant imagine why the name changed.
dunno... ol** may have been a brand name and margarine was generic?
actually coca-cola became coke later...
ol** refers to the chemical compound (I think). probably some marketing person thought it sounded too "artificial" to keep that reference
Shirlockc, I seem to remember that tidbit, you're probably spot on (chem compound, that is)...
do people still use that spread?
Morning campers...how does she fare this morn?

Those spell it out **** clues work every time
well i try to clue in a way that will work with the person i am clueing for.....what i really hate is clues that include stats for another word as the second part of a word....like re + ti 4 for retire....might as well spell out the word...
ac6, please?
May I please have a clue for an8d50? Thanks
a short story told often to amuse someone or as a beginning to a speech...
that was the 8
Ac + not yes + you always **fy me. HOpe that helps Marc.
Pen, I don't get the re + ti4 clues either. It used to be a common thing here not to clue more than the first two letters. If you give the first four, as in the example above, it is almost the same as just posting the word.
Lighten up Molly....keep your blood pressure low. We all love you
I have no problem with my blood pressure, but thanks anyway. I was just agreeing with Pen.
Hi all
Hey there, LIzlin.
Hi peach
Thanks pen....i've been watching too many Johnny Carson reruns and the only thing I can think of is "monolog".

Hello, everybody. I asked a question in this chat last night and got an interesting answer, so I thought I'd try again. As a wordy bunch, does anybody here have any favourite poems they would recommend?

Heya rbud. How are you doing? Savannah is gorgeous!
just finished up here, yay! Oh, thanks, I know she is, but it's only been in the last week or two that we've started to see her smiling. She's been a colic-y unhappy little bit for most of her life so far. Finally a formula mix (along with what her mama can come up with) that works.
guessing savannah is a new grandchild?
yes, first and only so far. certainly wish Hubs had made it long enough to see her, she'd have charmed him right off. :)
and then... my mom got to meet her, too, on her 87th birthday, Sept. 26th - her first great-grandbaby! and then sadly Mom passed away a week ago. It's been a rough year.
glad to have this new little one to take my mind off it all. ♥
