Prayers going up for you already.
the babble praying and good thoughts circle... also a very powerful tool!
all my training i loved except for the cardiac stuff. i would just shut down totally. i simply can't handle heart stuff
you haven't been able to in the past, but you will be in future, my dearest friend. One step at a time. And with our support. Have faith.
You're in my heart and thoughts, Rose. I pray all goes smoothly for you.
*hugs Kam*
thanx kam. guess i'm being a bit of a wuss. lots of people just go through it and get on with their lives.
*gently but firmly corrects rose* You are NOT a wuss, silly. You are afraid, due to your family history. You are entitled to feeling scared. We are here for you to help you cope.

hey there rubes
my Maiden name is in here, li4/7
Do maidens still exist (or would teenagers scoff?)
i have no idea what teenagers would say to be honest
not a lot of them here to ask :)
how to connect maidens with the phantom dildo word ... think think think
the dildo's maiden name was....
easy
hahahahah
that whole epispde went over my head -- or someplace
it's okay, I almost said I wouldn't know what teenagers think, because I'm not Judge Roy Moore...but that seemed too much
l'm like the shrew whose brain shrinks in winter to conserve energy....per a NYT article
he's my fave --NOT!!
ooooo that's a good one moo
he's not on my non-religious winter celebration card list :)
25 to go
or that creep moore from alabama
It does seem often that the most righteous are the most wrongeous
l think l'll just buy some bottles of champagne for whichever friends invitee me and ggive money to the restt. No way to go shopping
seems like a strategy rubes
Do they even know they're hippocritES,
l lack the sttrength to do more
if they're real friends Ruby.. they will understand that
I have a lot of 7s left it seems
If l stay lucky, bichon may visit in April, that is if l survive the winter
that's kind of dramatic ruby
Any clues for the fo8?
And French people all love champagne; they drink it pre-meal instead of decent cocktails
The Danish have Hygge...
sorry, ru, but it's "bleak o'clock"
what is hygge?
to pre-execute something, like a plan phae?
we all wish you continued good health
archaic word phae
hygge is getting "cosy" or something to that effect
Thank you, you're a sweetheart
got 2 words outta that clue, thx moo
you're welcome shirl :)
l thought Hygge might be an alcohol new to me (though l didn't think therre was one)
sahti is a type of finnish beer that is strained through juniper sticks
l miss "martini time" witth my husband; it was a grand ritual for all our years togeher, even at the office
then there's kvas, but you probably know that one
l knew kvas but know zip about beer
I know nothing about beeer
Stone's Green Ginger Wine maybe...
My son is a beer expert
I stick to the beer myself, occasional cider
there's also perry, which is pear cider...but not as tasty imo
When l drink, it is either vodka or gin with a splash of water
I love sake, but it's hard to find here, even in the sushi bars
i have a new drink where I actually like vodka
perry is a great name for a drink
i generally don't like Vodka (especially Potato Vodka)
what's in it, ru?
I don't mind a bit of mead every now and again too
Vodka, Lime juice, Grapefruit Juice, Campari and a sprig of rosemary
Galliano is another less common one out there
it's kind of a combo of a negroni and a greyhound
and while we're on italian, how about limoncello?
i like limoncello.. it's great
especially on a really hot day
Cheers, l just made myself a Smirnoff and Evian, no ide

it's a french word meaning sad....
pen isn't the French word for sad a word that begins with en?
MLF...the Aluminum ****, you wrap food in it.
or a word that means to trick a criminal
no, the en word doesn't mean sad exactly....
that's what I thought, I apologize though as I was spelling the first part with an I not an e
Yes, but the three prefix clue was confusing because that usually ends in an i
I figured it out :)

TY!
OR Girl Scout sugar cookie :-)
Yes, and I am a proud Girl Scout too. Troop 914.
tr6 after attempts
i was a Scout for many years -- and my mom was our leader! :-)
I have fond memories of being a Brownie and Girl Scout--crafts, projects, adventures, hiking, camping, and cameraderie.
prefix for 3 + watch your ***p when walking on ice
me too -- and especially our week-long trip to DC!
TY, I did not understand earlier clues.
We didn't go on faraway trips although camp seemed far away when I was young. Camp Ski-High is actually about 20 minutes away from me now but was sold to a private owner.
ok I'm off, have a good night everyone
Bye, LWG
it was a HUGE deal -- Mother even had us spend a weekend in Nashville in preparation -- some of the girls had never spent the night away from home, much less in a hotel . .
we had MANY fundraising spaghetti suppers :-)
I learned so many things when working on badges, but we just had so much fun together. I learned to love camping--making fires, cooking, hiking, etc--that serve me well today.
very cool that we got to present a handcarved Barbry Allen doll to Jackie Kennedy's personal secretary for Caroline:-)
Wow.
the times have certainly changed -- if you can imagine, it was my mom and her co-leader with TWENTY girls! LOL
Yes, we had a big group of neighborhood girls. Now there are not enough leaders for girls that are interested. I offered to take girls hiking and to teach fire-making and survival skills, but I never got a call.
OMG Scrabs, I can't believe they passed on that opportunity -- what a shame
I knew the mother because I was the doc for her daughters.
hi all. any clues for the 8s? ty

need some clues for the E words for top row E and 3rd column E. ty.
Penquis, I met someone that used to live in Gouldsboro, just north of the Schoodic Peninsula, so we spoke about Acadia NP.
nice....i don't know that i have ever been to gouldsboro...
got some of the E words for top row E. so ty anyway. but still need for 3rd column E one word. ty
er4-while = previously
er 4....a babblet....
ty. just got it. ty
Do either of the er4s constitute a "babblet" (I don't like that term)? They both seem like regular words to me. Maybe not.
could use stats for the o in last column please. ty
or6/21 and os7/32
i also get confused by the term babblet sometimes.
ty! looking for them scrabbler.
i don't think it's a regular word....especially since it seems derived from er 4while....but perhaps it's the other way around....i call it a babblet because it's not a commonly used word, but it is one that is often in the grid...
Babblet is a made up term from years ago. Like the whole monkeys thing. I'm not sure why they are still around.
because they convey meaning to people.... ;o)
Apparently they only convey a meaning to some people as those terms are often questioned. But whatever floats people's boats.
well i dont see those or or os words. but still looking. ty
monkey does mean to play idly with something....when i try all kinds of dumb combinations to find a word, i feel like i am monkeying around....
or + vowel + the ***s of MArch
We are monkeys here, for sure, Penquis.
personally, i never refer to "my monkeys" but i have used monkeyed as a verb, i think....
my cable just went out....:o(
ty for or clue. perfect. ty.
So how are you on here?
yes, i don't do internet with my cable company...
Oh, we cannot do it any other way out here in the country. Some folks don't even have regular internet--they connect through their cell phone.
well i live in the city.... 7400 people in the winter!...
Is there a ski resort nearby?
feif
Damn, I need one more F.
well there is a small mountain with skiing...it's actually in the town limits of a coastal town....
There is a ski resort across the valley from us and they are eager to get snow with the storm which starts tomorrow night. We will get 10-20 inches.
the town's slogan is "where the mountain meets the sea"....
Nice. I miss Maine very much.
well i am sure you will be back...
The 12 hour drive to ANP is a killer though.
i'm sure!...
But staying with a friend north of Boston helped.
8
yes, it's nice to cut down the car time in more manageable pieces....when i go to the Outer Banks in April, we stay one night with a cousin in CT....
4. What a PITA to finish a big grid.
