calling it a night -- see you tomorrow
nite
good morning all
yoohoo {{sprite}}
*hugs rose* Hello my darling, how was your day and how are you feeling?
i am quite up-beat today. Thom's Place today was really terrific. i served an assortment of dips with flat breads, followed by lamb shank and veg soup. we had a wonderful time. and the gym work is starting to pay off. i was flitting around like a teenager... loll
wow rose! That sounds awesome. I am so glad :) Was the vicar happy?
how was your yesterday and night? and yes she was. she understands completely why i want her there, on site, when T'sP is open.
very good. She needs to be there, it will help ease the way for people to join you. Yesterday was okayish, I did the things I had to do and put my feet up for the rest. Quite a bit of after-pain from the day before. I slept okay, heavy dreaming but nothing too scary.
tomorrow we meet up with dan2bits. it will be so exciting.
lovely! Tell him hi from me too, please
i will.
how is Don today?
he seems okay. he enjoyed T'sP also. no unusual squeals or groans today... loll
*giggles* All good on the male front then.
ahem..... ahhh.... yeah..... i think......
it is my turn to cook again today, and since it is friday... I am gonna use your slowcooker again. Boeuf bourgignon, with red wine.
oooohhhh, yummy
right after babble I will start it, and this afternoon I have an appointment with Noud, and when I come home, everything will smell so divine!
and so it will.... lolll.... that reminds me. the vicar said she could smell my soup cooking all the way from the street to the front door of our church.
wooooot and the water ran into her mouth all the way
btw, did you receive an email from renny feld yesterday/eve?
no, I didn't. Should I have?
well you are on the list of recipients. could you please check? it was sent to your upcmail account. i haven't opened it yet.
I did not receive it. I even checked the folder with removed items.
that's weird.
why haven't you opened it yet? Does it look like a suspicious email? Pretending to be from renny but not really from her?
exactly. that's why i checked to see if you had received it. as i said you are on the list of recipients along with evanonut plus others.
it might be my provider has filtered it out as a spam email then.
that's where i found it.
I don't have a current email from her. The one from the little cake factory bounced when I sent her a christmas wish.
hang on... i'll cut and paste
take care, that you do not get infected with a virus or data miner
http://invitation.charlotte-rodgers.co\nm/today3 that is the link supposedly sent by her.
<qqp7692d@royal.ocn.ne.jp> ..... that is supposedly her email addy.
that would be odd anyway, out of the blue like that. Delete fully and don't go to that link, I'd say.
and done
renny, if you see this, could you please confirm ??
now isn't that interesting. i just went into rankings and typed renny into the "find" box and she is nowhere to be found.
she goes by renfield, I think
She is dead. Don't open the mail!
ahhh will try that
hi Haz, great to see you. Thanks for telling us. I am really sorry to hear she died :(
thanx haz. you were on the list as well i think
She died in a house fire but her email seems to have been hacked.
some people are so so sick in their heads :(
i feel sick. what sort of person does that?
I have blocked that email address.
oh, now i remember that news, haz.
It is maybe a year or two now. Am typing slowly because I am on my tablet.
typing on tablets is the pits. A true test of patience when you are used to touchtype at high speed
I know!
dinner will be here soon. please excuse if i disappear soon.
all good, darling. Go enjoy your dinner. I will be off soon to start ours too :D Slowcooker for the win!
All the best and no opening dodgy mails!
never do :) Thanks for popping in to tell us, Haz. Have a grand day!
thanx dear haz. and {{sprite}} hugs my dear. xoxox
bye sprite. dinner here. luvs ya
*hugs rose on her way out*
Thanks, you too.

Hi kids.

One game played so far. I was losing by 90-100 points and came back to win by a few. Lucky me.
Sweet
morning, babblers!
Morning, all!
Hi Eva. How's the little boy?
Hi Bea and Baby K's Mama.
Hi Bea
*typing away gleefully* I love big grids. I type words that I suspect are there and they are.
i like big grids and i cannot lie...
and hi all
hah, scrabs! I do the same thing
It's fun, isn't it, mael?
Hi jbp
howdy
It's a fabulous grid. The er and es and est are in just the right place.
Good morning, Haz. I just finished a Colm Toibin book and thought of you the entire time.
Well, that's flattering!
I've been looking for Ps forever and I can't believe I'm still missing 23
I was looking at maps of Ireland and North Ireland to find the towns he mentioned.
One of the fun things about Ireland, north and south, is the variety of the place names.
I need 44 more Ps.
I don't know how to pronounce many of them.
There's a townland near here called 'Hurtle Toot'. It always bring to mind a runaway car.
Haha.
Time for lunch here so I'll wish all happy babbling - knowing that it's a wish that will come tr4/5.
Bye and thanks for the clue.
You're welcome! Have a good day.

hello trif
Hi, Trif.
Hiyas, kiddos.
im so hungry, lunch could not come fast enough today
hi judi
I was really hungry today too waiting for my meal to be made.Had to plates of stuffed pasta
one of my 7th graders just made me laugh so hard - he grumbled that he HATED the two snow days - when I asked why, he answered, "well, I am reading The Shining...."
Ha! Creeped himself out, eh?
Indeed, Judi - didnt' sleep much I would say
A 7th grader reading The Shining?
hes way advanced, mlf - shining star that one!
judi should I use crayon, pencil, colored pencils/markers or chalk to draw the bridge?
trif that is scary in itself!
I'm off to use the Shark...He has a lot to eat today...Dust bunnies everywhere...
you are so nice bzz
Hmm. Chalk would probably be the easiest to remove, MLF.
but the messiest judi:)
Hubby and I are both sick. Sounds like a TB ward here.
judi uggh the flu?
oh no judi!
I am sorry to read this news
Just colds, but we're both coughing our brains out. Have to go to the drugs store in a while to get more OTC cough medicine.
drugs are good judi:0
Hell yeah they are.
Thought it was the flu, but it's snot.
well thank goodness it isn't the flu .. colds you could probably deal with better don't ya think?
My husband and I snot instead of not sometimes.. just something silly we do
judi, get some elderberry elixir - that stuff WORKS - it shortens colds by an enormous factor
trif have you ever had elderberry juice?
Only 144 words left!
We actually are taking elderberry & zinc disolvable tablets. That and mega-dosing on vitamin C
Gotta go easy on that elixir - it's a natural laxative too.
yes maam. elderberries grow all over my property, and i sometimes, if it has been a good season, make elderberry things.
sounds like a great idea judi to try to help get rid of the colds
gotta run -world's shortest lunch period has ended. boooo
trif I love elderberry juice but hard to find in the stores.
Ooh. I'm jealous, Trif. We used to be able to pick elderberries on my husband's uncle's farm. That was in upstate NY. They don't seem to grow here in the mid-atlantic.
I used to make apple elderberry pie. OMG, that was sooooo goooood.
We can get elderberry juice here at our local health food store. It is ungodly expensive though.
ves t
sorry, I seem to be doing that lately, sloppy fingers!!
wahoo! Giving a make up test - extra babble time!
Huh. make up test. Some real sweating going on there I bet.
last year the elderberry yield was naught, due to a weird drought at summer's end
nah, it is a good student, she was legitimately absent yesterday. she read the book, she will be FINE
Oh, that's good.
I am not sure I know 21 Y words....this is a challenge
I have 14 of the Y words so far. Stuck on the last 7.
i made it to 12, and there I think I will remain
LOL, can you tell I work in a middle school? Tried every form of "derp"
Bang! Zoom! Found the rest of the Ys.
wow judi!
There's only a few weird ones.
made to 17, so theres that.
good morning all
Hiya, Nan.
hello nan!
okay, this is fun - the 7th graders are performing an additional act they wrote for Hound of the Baskervilles, as a performance based assessment. I find it hilarious that one of the girls is bitching more about having to wear a dress than one of the boys is. He just shrugged, said "whatever" and put it on. Good lad!
What a trooper!
Interesting assignment. Who plays the hound?
it is a fantastic assignment. In groups, they had to rewrite the last scene. They had to retain the spirit, logic, and dialogue of the play, but HAD to name a different murderer. What they came up with was great.
Cool!
someone brought in the world's cutest stuffed pug toy and said it was their "hound"
Ha! Not quite the same, but points for originality.
it was super cute.
Wasn't the hound in the book / movie a great dane?
Or a neopolitan mastif?
in the play it is part mastiff, part great dane, part shepherd sort of thing. cruelly starved by kathy to be an attack dog. crazy bitch. lol
Ah yes. Been a while since I've read it or seen the old movie (with Basil Rathbone as Sherlock, of course).
how old are these kids, trif? -- I thought you said 12 - 13?
yes, 12 to 13
Gotta go get my drugs. 68 left in the bucket today.
one of the kids brought in the most amazing old suit EVER - he got it from his grandpa. Straight out of time, lapels thiiiiiiiis wide, head to toe plaid. A thing of absolute beauty to behond
behold
I'm glad it wasn't considered appropriate reading material for grade 7 when I was that age --- I would have had nightmares for months after reading it
they loved it! we gave it to them one scene at a time, so they could not read ahead to discover whodunit
I don't care how long it takes to read it --- it would still have been more than I could handle at that age
good to know, I wont send you any scary texts, nan!
please don't!
you have to realize, Trif, we are talking 60 years ago. Children were more innocent and better protected from the horrors of life then - no social media - no TV
bell rang, sorry....
ev 7 please?
the most ev 4/7
ty - sometimes I wonder if the word 'most' has disappeared from the english language
I think it has Nan - both more and most - we use the extensions more than was allowed when I was a kid
lol - as I just pointed out to Trif, a lot of things were different back then.
chrisk - have a look at my profile -- might give you your morning chuckle
break tie - bbl
Hound of the Baskervilles was on our summer reading list between 5th and 6th grade in 1966.
Nan - that's great and how I feel sometimes
wow....big one today...
hi all. something happened to me yesterday i want to share with the world
hi sue
I have adhd and have been mis diagnosed a bunch of times and have take what feels like a hundred different meds for eveything from adhd to bipolar. I went to a doc yesterday and after telling her i stopped meds 4 mths ago because i dont think i am bipolar, she agreed. then said i was adhd . no surprise there. then she asked me what my Genetic test told my doc about how my meds where supposed to be subscribed for me
genetic test?
my what? she told me about genetic testing for drugs to see which ones would work best for me and my metabolism and that is probably why i was being put on so many meds i didnt need.
interesting...
a $330 test (dont know if my insurance will cover, on the phone with them this AM and will find out monday) will tell me how medicine is delivered into my blood stream.
interesting....never heard of that....
this testing has been available for the past 6-7 years and i have never heard of it either.
i have been on a multitude of drugs and omg what they have put me through. including job and friend lose.
it will be interesting to see whether the insurance will pay for it....it would seem to be more cost effective for you, given your history of meds... be cheaper to find out which might work for you....
I have chronic pain from a spinal cord injury. I would love a test like that, especially since I seem to metabolize drugs more quickly than others. It would be well worth the $330!
Apnea
Apneas
Oops
i wonder if it i appropriate for all types of drugs...
np....had it anyway... ;o)
Finally found an 8! Yayme.
nice...
eieios that is what this test shows. I just got off the phone with my doctor and they dont offer it. go figure! they where saying it was too complicated and then i stopped her and told the lady that the NP i saw yesterday, swabbed my cheek and will send it out to be checked. complicated my ass! they got all that money for me going back and forth. did you know there is a warning about pain drugs and the rate of the metabolism. let me look for the article again. brb

TO, Habitat For Humanity is one of my favorite charitable works. I hope you enjoy your time with them.
Is TO working with hammer and nails, or in their store?
well after my first run through the list, i only have 3 to find...
i am missing the PS words and one TS word...don't feel too bad about that....
working the new store for now. doing a neighborhood clean up end of april
most of the building dates are taken by groups, but i will sign on when one opens.
ps words are a latin prefix used in the latin word for a false or alternate name
ty....got them...
aw, there goes my challenge to finish without clues. probably a pipe dream.
good for you TO. Restore did very well by us on both the donation and purchase ends when we moved and renovated.
i am done....
grats, pen -- 20 and counting down
one can get some great buys with lieftover contractor materials. we cannot buy or set anything aside when we have a scheduled shift
ty....not a bad grid...
it is a grand opening but a 6 1/2 hour shift. not sure i can do that after an early AM and then the gym but there will be so much crap donated the first weekend.

the one i am clueing is the UR 4/6....
it's almost abs*** how long it's taking to get this word... ;o)

http://holyjoe.org/poetry/carryl2.htm
yes, i did not think of that....my niece loves cheese "crottes"....

Good evening Babblers. 96 left and going to the list.
Good evening wht.
Hi peach. Is this a peach of a grid?
Not really a bad one, wht. Have seen much worse.
After you have been around here long enough, there is always one longer, one shorter, one harder or one easier.
Yep
this was a very enjoyable grid. sorry i had to rush the last 40 or so but i need to hit the hay. happy babbling
Good night TO>
FW finally. Blessings all
wtg peach
Fireworks for me. Last words were a twisty, snakey pair.
Good night Babblers
not too hard to hit 300, anyway
I try to get down to 20 words before I go to the list and I have 21 and I absolutely cannot do it. My monkeys are overworked. I know I'll want to kick myself when I find the five 4 letter words that I have left.
Yay! I got down to 20. Time to list.
pr 7/32 any hints?

I don't know if there are more than one or not.
