Hi all and hugs, Sprite
How are you?
*hugs Liz* Hello dear one! How are you and your beloved? I am okay. Just too busy, kinda surviving on willpower. But it is worth it.
We're fine - living our usual live quite happily.
Willpower is a good thing to keep you going.
Wow! I remembered the Welsh word with no vowels!
yayyy :D
yes it is. However, there is a price to pay. It is definitely a balancing act.
Stupid thing to say - but try not to overdo it!
*grins* Nah, not stupid, just showing that you care. Thanks, Liz. Great to hear you and your beloved are doing well.
A brief visit from me - that fish won't cook itself. Keep well Sprite - your family too. Hugs.
*hugs Liz* Have a lovely evening, Liz
fireflies. New word learned today is Pi7/48, which turns out to be an alternate spelling for the card game. *leaves big hug in chog for rose to find*
Okay first run through and I have 22 words left. Did not find that pi7 or the qu8 someone called earlier. Happy babbling everyone!
Zoom, if you are still here, the pi7 ends like the lawn game with balls and mallets, and the qu8 is when you stop paying for your apartment.
Ah! Many thanks, Molly! I was just about to get in the bath and put music on through the computer when I saw your message. Now have found them. Many thanks once again!
Thanks from me too, Molly
gm, may i have a clue for the qu5/18 plz?

Ends like a boggy place that starts with an ma
Too late
Good morning
Could anyone clue the ci 7 36 and the ci 8 please?
Something may w***** on the vine. Put the c in front of it
tyvm bichon

yw
plural of ci7/36
not getting the ci
ok just got it finally. so sorry
but i got a 6 7 not a 7 8. any ideas?
i have ci 6 7. but what about the ci 7/8?

bichon, add a cons. to the very end of the ci 6. then plural it. ci: like wi**** but with a C, then add another cons. at the end, and then plural for the 8.
Morning all!

did you get it bichon?
yes, ty
pi 7/48, ps
same as pi6,30 but add another cons in the middle
ty Natasha
FW! But I'd like to propose a law banning words with no "real" vowels. And I'm not talking about using y as a vowel.
I always forget how to spell the cr5/22...
I can't get that word
... which doesn't have any vowels, fake or otherwise
exactly my point
damn welsh
Nice mountains though
got it, ty
As a Welsh speaker I can give you a clue by telling you that 'w' is the vowel sound - it's pronounced 'oo'.
that helps!
Fair enough. If y can be a vowel, why not w :-)
I guess you have to be a native
The Merriam-Webster website has a "word of the day" podcast about this word... very interesting! Can't post the link as it has the word in it
Hiyas, kiddos.
hi Judi
that pi clue: i dont get it. i have one pi: 6 30. is that what you were cluing? or is there another pi 6? ty
natasha, you clued that pi word. not sure what the stat is for it. please let me know.
there are two pi6 and one pi7
I was clueing the 2nd pi6
the pi7 is a variant spelling of the second pi6
ok. so can you clue the second pi 6 to me please? ty
change the last consonant of the first pi6
got that second six. not sure i see how to make it into the 7.
stick another cons in at the 3rd position
got it. ty natasha. ty
yw! I knew the word because I used to be a huge fan of Regency romance novels by Georgette Heyer
