i made a beef stew in my slow cooker for today's luncheon. used tiny chat potatos with absorbed the flavour of the gravy.

OK, I know which ones. There are so many choices, and I always pick the tiny ones for stews. And will again, come October or so! Too hot too stew in summer. So I'll enjoy hearing about your house smelling like what you are cooking!
so lovely. I prepared the evening before family constellations, seasoned ground beef and mixed with chopped onions and garlic, egg and breadcrumbs. Made a loaf, put it in a freezer bag, into the fridge. Then cut up/sliced a heap of veggies, seasoned, all into another freezer bag and into the fridge. And made broth which I also put in the fridge. In the morning, I put the loaf in the middle of the slowcooker, the veggies all around it and added a bit of broth. On low for 8 hours, to die for.
and my cohort in crime, the other 'chef' at Thom's Place made lovely individual apple pies with a lovely short pastry on the bottoms.

we are having very hot days for the time of year here, but it will not stop me from using the slowcooker. Nor the oven, lol, made a lovely casserole yesterday. I am all for easy cooking.

Our house gets so hot so fast when it gets hot outside, so cooking goes outside to the grill

kam, in summer i use the cooker overnight, then refrrigerate the meat the next morning for fresh cold cuts for dinne.

I have so many deer in my yard that growing hydrangeas would be challenging...a buffet for the deer. They already eat my hostas. I spray my garden with a deterrent.
Same here re hydrangeas this year.....mine are doing better than ever.... I'm sure a lot of the lushness is due to all the rain rain rain!

Yes, bichon. I spray every 1-2 weeks. I also bought a cat deterrent spray because the neighbor lets her cat out and I see my beloved birds and chipmunks murdered.

The solution to this problem is ON HIM.
Let him face the music.
The only way for him to change is behavior is to suffer memorable (i.e. painful) consequences. Make his life miserable.
Do not be a helicopter or snowplow parent or else he has no reason to change his behavior. Be firm and detached.
