back
cooee and g'day friends. {{sprite}} honey. what's for breakfast today?
*hugs rose* Hello my darling, great to see you. How was your day and how are you doing?
breakfast is a coffee and 3 slices of bread, with hazelnut paste
day was quiet. everything an effort at the moment.
small slices i hope....
why small?
bread pretty high in carbs isn't it?
yes but I am not on a low carb diet
ahhh, okay then....
:D
when is your next infusion, hun?
(found the fish)
let's see, today is monday. i go in friday afternoon.
ah good, that is pretty close already. And you are taking very good care of yourself, right? Easy does it? (How about the cleaning lady?)
Hi all and hugs
have mentioned possibility to don. it is percolating through his grey cells.
{{lizgirl}}
hi Liz! *hugs* How are you and your beloved?
Very well though pretty exhausted
good job, rose. Only, he must realise it is not a possibility, but a necessity. For your health.
busy times, Liz?
Jet lag
Got home Saturday night
ugh. Lots of fluids and lots of rest, I'd say
ahhh... welcome home dear liz.
did you have a good time, Liz?
where did you fly from?
Just trying to get on as normal. Best way to adjust.
Flew out of Rome.
no stop over at all?
how long was the flight?
It was an amazing 5 weeks. Saw loads of fantastic things and met some great people.
3 hours in Singapore
yay! So glad it was a good vacation for you
With stopover about 24 hours.
wow !!! you rock lizgirl. i could never do that.
Star places were the Pont du Gard near Avignon, Pisa and Ponte Vecchio in Florence
We find it much easier not to break the journey
i would have to be admitted to hospital if i did that. i can imagine every muscle screaming in protest.
it all depends on one's personal situation
Ah well, we each do what’s best for us.
next time the netherlands again, Liz ;)
The weather was wonderful. I loved the heat.
Who knows? We’re thinking Portugal next.
if you stay a night in amsterdam, rob and i will cook you dinner
Sounds yummy. I’m sure we will get back to the Netherlands sometime but I don’t know when. We’re also thinking Alaska
i have heard alaska is beautiful
The trips we’re looking at are awesome but now we’re really into river cruising. That was just wonderful
fireflies. *hugs* to you both. *hugs rose and don too*
Congrats and hugs Sprite

Glad you have less pain, Ruby! Hope you are keeping the fluid intake higher in these hot conditions.

Hope you have a good 10 minute blitz, Haz. Go get those words.
I know. but better to keep on top of them, a little at a time. It's a bit of a treadmill sometimes.
Okay, ten minutes is up, nice round number of words and off I go on the hunt for dirt. Have a good day!
Hope you have a great day too, Haz!

Co 9/60 and its plural

when you write a book of research, you often have extra things to say that you don't want to put in the body of the main text, bichon. once upon a time it was hard to get them at the foot of the page they went with, on account of there not being word processing programs yet. so instead people did en8, collected all those things and put them at the back of the book together.

Good morning all
you don't drink wine? really?
hi liz
Hi Liz!
Hi Ru and Car - just back from drinking some lovely wines inFrance.
I don't drink except on rare occasions (wedding toast, e.g.) or if I'm in Italy. Wine in the USA gives me a headache.
Hi All!
Very nice!
there ya go.. wtg liz
Much prefer French wines to the Aussie ones my hubby likes.
How was your Canada holiday, Ru?
I don't know.. I'm not Canadian yet
I know that but I thought you'd been on holiday there recently.
oh.. my vacation was fantastic
I've been a bit out of touch with 5 weeks inEurope
I don't drink any alcohol. Never liked the taste nor the effect on my brain.
I hung out with Bugs and Saanich and we all had a fabulous time
Right - lingo problems. Vacation not holiday.
Great, glad you enjoyed it.
Great, Ruru!
my back has recovered from the whale watching trip too..
we had kind of rough seas on our trip
Ouch.
OK that would upset your back. How were the whales though?
Oh no :(
we didn't see any this trip.. we got a free pass for the next visit
it was still beautiful cruising around all the islands regardless
there are only about 74 of the whales left that we were trying to see.. so sighting them can be rare
Good that they gave you a free pass. The companies here do that too. The islands looked beautiful when I was there but it must have been disappointing that the whales didn't come to play
I've had a lot of great whale experiences.. so I can't complain
I passed halfway so I am done. See you tomorrow.
I've decided to buy a home in that area now

Must've been wonderful.
oh.. unbelievable.. it was amazing
I still have the photos...
I bet you treasure them.
in 6/27 pls?
in + wild rabbit
wild rabbit? hare? no idea!
oh.. .. try this
in + prisoner + sometimes vowel
Now that I understand. And I've learned something new too. Thanks.
coney or cony is a rabbit (in old language)
I've not heard that before - or I've forgotten it.
i always thought it was with an e
you might be hard of hare-ing then :D
:)
you're acting on a hutch
cony relates to the pelt and coney is the rabbit actually (we shouldn't mention this with scrabs around)
Can't even begin to think of a pun this morning. Jet lag isn't helping.
shirl is firing off pellets
Usually I'm Lapin up the puns .. but I'm slow today
thats a groan there.
BBL. Enjoy your evenings.

Hi all. Finishes many hours ago. Can clue for a bit if needed.

Clues or stats anyone?
164 to go, just returned.
Hey all, 87 to go, harp will likely beat me :)
found some fish
*checks words, nope no fish yet*
Watches harp and helen to see who's ahead.
73 to go - am going through my words, adding 's' - how's your arm jacs?
Arm's not too bad, helen, but I'm going to take the advice from my friend Sue and see my GP.
145 to go
Sue's dodged the grim reaper twice and probably knows what she's talking about.
jacs - I think that's a good idea. There's no telling why things like that pop up. But, you're probably right, too much knitting.
go harp go!
I'm pretty sure it is too much knitting, Helen.
I'm invincible, dontchya knw? ;)
How do you think you're withdrawl will be? Expecting a case of the shakes, lol? Then we can have more baking pics, yay!
Oh yeah, the older we get, the more invincible we are, also bullet-proof. :)
Baking hasn't been something I've wanted to do in the recent hot times in UK. But I'm missing home made cake, so might have to do it soon, hot or not.
I'm missing the savory stuff - that always make my mouth water. (Sometimes I even dumb down something you've made - you know, fewer ingredients, less work. Sheeeeh, don't tell anyone.)
I did make bread pudding on Sunday with the leftover bread P had from his week on the road. That was baked.
LOL re the dumbing down of my recipes, helen!
:) You should take that as a compliment :)
I'm doing Cheddar Cod tonight and warm chorizo salad in the week. So for the fist recipe you need a cod steak, some chopped tomatoes, some fresh breadcrumbs, grated cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper. Just warning you in advance.
*making a list*
Warm chorizo salad - chorizo sausages you can slice or cut in half, pickled beetroot to slice, same of mini pickled gherkins. Lots of mixed salad leaves, balsamic vinegar.
Oh, and for that last recipe, very thin slices of potato, fried until just soft and golden.
That sound scrumptious!
I'm still amused that daughter's ex-b/f (a Romanian chap) who made a point of never eating vegetables or salad, surprised himself by wolfing that meal down when I put it in front of him.
If there's one scene from the past that I hit the replay button in my head to see again, it is him saying that. LOL
Another scene is when me and OH came home from holiday and Dorin asked if we'd had a nice time. I said that we had, apart from all the midge bites. He, still learning English then, looked totally horrified as he imagined midgets (small humans) biting us. I did explain.
LOL - that's precious, midgets biting, and creepy.
co7-8 combo please?
harp - co7/32 = prison lag + short written thing on paper. co8/45 is the verb form.
jacs - ya gonna take this one?
nm
