I'm glad the dictionary is working again.
no kidding, I've used it several times, just wondering what the heck some of these are
I've found a set of ba 5, 6, and 7 that sound sort of related to cigarette contents, but are actually berries
they use the double consonant
berries!
hiya, Kam - berries or olives, it looks like
Hiya rbud!
This is a real bear!
yes it is! I'm beating morewords to death, bwahaha
if it is olives.. I still haven't tapenade into the clue :D
I've been there a couple of times...haha! Actually, I'm remembering some of the really obsolete ones tonight. Maybe all the retrogrades makes my brain try harder? ;)
dictionary dot com said berries

Hello, Ruby :-)
l'm starting to feel human again -- very slow start today
Slow is always best. Just take your time.
Except Raffie has been hiding in the garden since yesterday's traumatic day. She had small surgery but they anaesthetized her and cut and shaved a lot of her knotd and dirty fur. She looks ridiculouz, zo perhaps hy whe is hiding.
sorry for the garble, but l'm,barely ambulatory
let alone articulate!
Oh bless her. Hope she is all okay now. It will take time for her. But I a sure with all the love you give her she will be to her normal self soon!
Not a problem, Ruby. I can read typos as good as I can type them myself :-)
I am sure it was traumatic for you too to see her go for surgery. Hope you will feel better soon too ((Ruby))
Coming back from the vet, she nestled against my bare arm and neck (Nathalie was driving) and slept
snoring in my ear!
Aww that is sweet!
ilt's painful, loving our animals so much!
Where was rufus when all this was going on?
He stayed under the hedge all day until she was back home, but she still won't come nto thr house
Maybe try and get them together and see if she can entice him out?

Hi kids.
Hi cougar!
Hahaha! Ihave 7 0r 8 men in my office--a record!
meow!
How is your hand/wrist?
scrabbler, I have been loving following your adventure in flooring - and helpers!
Are you having surgery on it?
My alter ego is Sister Mary Pediatrica, so to talk of being a cougar is funny.
Much better and I will see a hand surgeon on Monday.
I enjoy enteraining folks with my mis-adventures.
ask them if you can help....buff it.
Hahaha!
what are you talking about?
I am having 1700 square feet of flooring done in my house so I have had a lot of men here since Friday.
LOL...buff...I love that word
we are shamelessly objectifying YOUR gender for once, ruru
ruru, I have played the role of cougar with all of these young laborers here.
oh
(I kind of remember the ol' cougar thing)
I have to read something now. I'm not sure I can do it with my br5 being like pudding, but I shall try. HAGD everyone
well.. I hope you keep your hands to yourself scrabs
I will and I do, ruru.
stats for the 4th col. e and the o please?
ob4
great scrabs.. there's nothing worse than a guy trying to do a job and have customers mess with their tools :D
ty ch1212
Rur, these guys have so many tools, some wrapped around their waists, and many power tools.
I love a man who is good with his tool(s)
These guys are expert tool users. And then to hear the power saws. *growl*
yummy
go get em, tiger!
:D no hardhats in bed though
I am struggling to get halfway here.
Ouch,
Scrabbler, I agree. By the way, we're having new countertops installed today.
I need that dne too, ch. The problem with a new project is that other projects are then needed-upgrades. I need a surround shower-tub installed, new counters, backsplashes...I won't be able to retire til 92.
I understand! We put in cork floors in 3 rooms a couple years ago, but the main living room-kitchen floors really need replacing. The countertops moved to the top of the list when a plumber cracked them while installing our new sink. We're reusing the old backsplash until we can afford to do the special tiling I'd like. One thing at a time :)
Yes, one project at a time...and paying off home equity loan along the way.
I like to do some projects on my own, but I cannot do everything.
Deferred maintenance is my middle name... my floors have needed resanding or replacing for years but the amount of work that entails is so off-putting I have decided to just live with it.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T! I have no talent or muscle for DIY. Good for you, Scrabs! Natasha, that's approach has a long standing reputation ;)
what's DIY?
Natasha, my carpeting needed to be removed 15 years ago, maybe 20, but I kept putting it off, trying to save money, or paying for other necessities. Finally the carpet got so disgusting that I took out a home equity loan. And this project (new tiles in kitchen/entryway and laminate flooring) will transform my home.
Do It Yourself
Do It Yourself
I replaced tiles in my shower after first installing a cement board behind it--videos and other how-to websites helped.
scrabbler, I agree about the videos! I have done SO many things around here after watching super helpful videos
may I please have a count for one word from the center a please?
ac 5/10
ac5/12
thank you
ac 7/32

Trif--you and I are tough, self-sufficient women.

I wish we could help each other on projects.
I absolutely LOVE learning to do something new. It feels GREAT
Me too.
Next on tap = painting my living room. I have wooden panels, which were stained a dark brown.
ugh. sounds like a job for Kilz!
I already painted one section in a hallway and I just painted right over easily.
you go!!!!
my first retirement job was to find the walls, then paint the walls and ceilings.
after 10 years a couple of closets have not been done, nor most of the interior doors.
need to start over on finding the walls.
the doors in my house are my cross to bear.....all the upstairs closets had those hanging sliding doors, and they have ALL come off.
I have those too, Trif. What do you change them to?
empty gaping holes
the bedroom doors are plain, but all the others are louvered and must be stripped first. Done a couple.
I like to walk through Lowe's and Home Depot to get ideas and see choices.
I need a break. 62 hiding.

You know i have no life because I finished this horrible grid.....

They had to culture for MRSA... I have had 8 previous MRSA Infections.... I have no immune system...
This foot is disfigured from previous staph....
oh, so sorry....
Oh, no.
The infection started in the middle of last night.
Anyway... This grid is a bear but I cannot exactly say why. Lots of obscure words???
oh dear Jaia - no wonder you are crabby.
yes, words i haven't seen before...
Yup. Just spent five hours on two busy interstates fighting truck traffic to see two doctors... Etc etc whine whine

Might have to get off the iPad and go to pc so I can list.
Anyone around ?
Later then
Anybody have the ba7? Hi, all.
no, sorry don't have that one yet
cabe
whoops, wrong box and a type
Found it. It's a strange one that is new to me.
can you clue it, please?
Ba not front but double the 3d letter and add what you did when you had dinner?
Hi not a good clue but not sure of definition
It's part of a series ba5, ba6, and ba7. They are berries. They use the double consonant and another vowel for the 5, two more vowels for the 6 and the past tense word meaning ingested food for the last three of the 7.
Oh yes now I remember the berries clue !
Wasn't that a nice concise clue?
thinking on it! thanks
Lol, it took me forever to monkey the 7. I kept wanting to do three vowels at the end.
got all three--that actually was a good description. thanks again!
Sure!
catu
Oops... monkeyed in the wrong box.
Down to 10. Time to break out the list.
Thanks smithchick. I would never have guessed those.
No problem.
I think I looked back at the early chog and found clues that related to the stuff that is in cigarettes.
Does anybody have ma6/27?
Not I , smithchick
biar
oops and not a word sorry
reason 1001 that I dont usually join the chog chatter!!
I don
Oops. I don't often.
Happens all the time mamawa
It IS more helpful if it is a word in the grid :D
yep I know ! If I am going to go in wrong box at least put in a good word !! There used to be a lot of incentives for getting put in the penalty box!! Like brownies and cabana boys!! Whoohoo LOL
Fireworks! Anybody need any clues?
WTG smithchick !! Congrats!!
Thanks! I had to use morewords for three of them.
I am looking for two cu words. 7/40 and 5/18
ma 6/27 ma+ first two letters of thing you drive + when it is cold you wear a **at
Yes I broke down and listed ! On my laptop now
Good work smithchick.
Needed that too, Natasha TY
The cu7 is a chemistry word that is sometimes spelled cou. I want to say it is a medication.
The cu5 word is the little fruits that end with the sometimes vowel.
you're welcome!
Cu7 is used as an anticoagulant.
TY !
What is with the cu4's I found one but can't seem to find the other 2. I monkeyed around and even went to AtoZ but nothing.
Why isn't capri a good word? aaarrrgghhh
sorry found them
I am stuck on ca 's but going to try and monkey thru
One of the cu4's just has a different third letter and the other is like the vegetable on the cob but with a different vowel.
Throw a sometimes vowel on one of them for cu5.
Throw the letter that there are a bunch of on the end of the word that you tried, MaMa for a ca6/27.
I have 27 left now , sorry I wasnt watching for the clues. I need a ca 6/27 and ca 7/36 are they related?
the second pair
I found the 6/27
got the 7/36 . There are many unfamiliar words to me. And I read anything and everything like a fiend, play crosswords, anagrams, scrabble , words with friends, c
word scramblers etc etc etc !! I wonder where they come up with some of them. When I' m not working against the clock I do stop and look them up.
