Hi Nan !
nbt/nbs
Thanks, Jess
yw
ahhhh, nothing like a good settling into bed for babbling on a friday night
are any 8's called yet?
Jess called po8
Jess called po8 (still looking for it)
(evening all)
Hi Pini !
hia rainiqui
pa8
top row grey
(still looking)
Why is it that when someone calls an 8, I immediately find a 4? Please.
*giggle* I feel your pain!
thankee jess
yw
i feel like poff should be a word. like a puff who's also a toff could be a poff
(not being actually british, i have no idea what degree of insulting i've actually just been)
Clues are up
thx lickety
have the po 8, but only pa 4's so far
Thanks, Lickety.
the pa8 is less normal than the po8
I'm still looking for both 8s...
does the po8 begin with a bear?
yes
hmmm...
Well, at least I have the bear...
FWs
...guess I'll have to find more bananas for the monkeys
wtg jess
thanks Pin :)
grats jes - still have 45 here
go nan!
Well done, Jess.
found the po8 ! :)
3 left here, 2 P and one L
1/2-way!
got the L!
one P6 stands between me and victory. jess, are you still here? if so, what is the point total for the grid?
ah nvm, monkeys worked fast
wtg hurshy!
this grid seems less difficult for its size than average
or my monkeys drank some red bull while i wasn't looking
*giggle*
I'm finding it that way, too...now that I've found the 8's...it seems to be moving quickly now...
i like your swan there, pini - is it a symbol or anything, or just pretty?
Thanks, hurshy...it's an image I purchased for the purpose of marking the books I create for my family (it compliments my last name which sounds like it has a "swan" in it). :)
(or rather purchased the "use" of it)
it kind of has a yin-yang quality about it
oh, didn't even realize that...it kind of does, doesn't it :)
i'm taking a tai chi class - apparently each half is 70% one color and 30% the other, and, this is part of a thing in self defense, if you have 70% of your weight on one foot and 30% on the other a lot of the time, then you are most ready for an attack. 50-50, you have less power, but 90-10, say, you're too unbalanced and can easily be knocked over.
That's interesting and makes sense.
i know, i'm filing it under "never remotely thought about but seems obvious now that you say it"
...exactly!
still can't find that pa 8 --- any clues please?
heinz has 57 of a va word that rhymes with pa8
it sort of extends the pa6 before it
ooooh, that's a good clue, hurshy!
thank you, thank you, i'll be here all week
*giggle*
ty hurshy - that's me finished. Good night, all -- see you tomorrow
wtg nan!
down to 16 here :)
...and chugging right along.
i am impressed pini......wow.
:)
4 now :)

cya next time! :)
yay pinikula
off to bed, will be back in the morning to finish
g'night flosey
morning all - this grid is not as easy as it looks !
hi, ursh. no, it's not. i have a number of letters where i have all but one.
Hi seain. I've been trying to print pictures to take tomorrow on a trip; & my computer & printer both say it's printing but nothing is happening. I just thought I'd try to find the "easy" words while I figure out what's wrong (I've been working on this since before midnight!0
Hi ursh
Hi Nef - printers are the source of huge amounts of stress and irritation - sorry yours is playing up
It was printing my pictures on the 8X11 regular paper easier (instead of the 4X6" glossy photo paper earlier; I finally got all of the settings on paper size, etc. but now it just sits there doing nothing.
I'm so dang tired I should probably just give up & go to bed.
maybe one of the colour cartridges are empty ?
ALL of the computer & the printer say that it is set at the right size , Inks are all full too
(I'm heading to bed; this isn
working & I can''t stay awake
maybe better after a good sleep - good luck
thanks; good luck with this grid!Q
screeching halt at 87 wçrds, nbt and nbs. Bye
Good going, ruby!
I have 96 words but have no 7 or 8s yet.
Heya. Any stats, please, for the E in the last column, second row (under the T)?
EG 5/14
Thanks - looking!
Found it, thanks. Are you well, Zooz?
Not too bad thank you, Matty! How are you keeping?
Not too shabby, cheers! Jeff (the OH) is working this morning so I'm just chilling. Thinking of things I should do but am not currently doing ;)
LOL yeah I know what you mean.
Back! As a means of getting through the horrible winter, l've just ordered plants from Promesse de Fleurs -- vrious things, all in my palette
lt gives me Something to look forward too while l sit shivering and playing Babble.
Flowering Winter plants! Nice one,Ruby!
I also had 2 stere of wood delivered this Morning.
Yep this house too will be cld in the Winter :-(
That should keep you going for a few months then!
No, flowering spring-sum plants, some for the deck, some for the garden
As long as you can light the damn fires!
l'm also trying to findnn someone to help on the weekends -- walk the dogs, make a fire, etc.
I have all three 7s but no 8s....
Good idea! Make sure they turn up early so it will be nice and warm in the morning!
Lucky dogs, even if they Don't get walked, they have a very big , safe garden
Would you like stats for the 8s Matty?
Yes please!
PA 8/45 & PO 8/45
Plenty of sniffing space then Ruby LOL
Many of the plants l want are unavailable., l have two aru, one white, one pinkish, but need at least one more to go with
Thank you! I shall look at once. Amused that both spellings of Jeff (and Geoff) are in the grid today
And I did try those too, Matty!
I always try names as most of them seem to be allowed.
They often are. Alas, not Jeff. Nor, for that matter, Kate (my actual name)
Are those two 8s 'real' words?
I think the only ones who "breach the perimeter" are a nasty large black cat who teases the dogs and a fox whom l've never seen but who leaves his stinky scat
The PO8 is.. It ends in what interest rates do.
Got it! Thanks
See you later, kids.
You could phone some plant nurseries, Ruby they might be able to put you in contact with someone who grows what you want.
Oh..Bye Ruby. take care.
The PA8, Matty I scammed from a clue given by Hurshy. Something like heinz has 57 differnt...VA it is similar to that word.
Ah - got it - thanks!
Nice one! Even with that clue it took me a while to find!
The L is bugging me - I only have one (the obvious one - la4/4)
Plural it for a start.
I have the one meaning a den...
Oh the other LA 4/4 will plural sorry
Right - got that one now. So don't feel so bad that I now have three of 'em
LA 5 & 6 end in double vowel
then plural of course.
Ah hah! One L left now :) Thanks!
The last one you need is a plural one word. and SOUNDS the same as the den one.
A plural one word?!
Never mind - got it!
See what I mean now lol
i.e. a word that seems to exist in the plural but not the singular, I'm guessing
Thank you!
30 left
Yes that is what I meant :-)
Well I have 14 words to find but will keep those for later. Nice to see you, Matty. Happy bbbling everyone!
Enjoy :)
Ruby Tuesday: was curious as the to measurement "stere" in regards to firewood and looked it up. A "stere" seems to be 3.6 "cords" of wood. Now it does not say if that is a face cord or a bush cord. Back when we used to heat entirely with firewood, we used to need 5 bush cords of hardwood and two face cords of softwood to make it through a standard winter. ;)
Used to cost the better part of $1000 dollars for it all--cut, split, seasoned, and delivered to our door.
That was just dumped in our laneway--we had to haul it and stack it. :(
Sounds like a lot of work. I grew up in NYC with central heating
yes it was, but when the winter storms knked out the power for three days, it was a godsend.
Then once the storm was over, it would take a better part of a day to dig your driveway out down to the main road :/
Then you had to dig out your woodpile--you are right, it was a lot of work!
Fireworks. Have a great day all
Is anyone here?
Need stats for the second column "o"

I’d have to guess there are a lot of empty animal crackers boxes around harp’s house
and a baby horse
(I wish, ruru!)
and V-flying birds
found the stuff I don't drink.
Blessings to the un-caffeinated
I don't care for the smell of it, therefore never tasted it!
The smell of that hot drink is one of my favorite smells. It reminds me of home. And home-like places.
