hi peeps. i emailed lickety yesterday to warn him that the flip will be an hour later (our time) as our daylight saving has started. unfortunately he hasn't read his emails, and put up his 'new' list an hour too early. hence lickety's list will be for yesterdays grid until such time as he sees my email.
thanks for letting us know granny. I think that happened a few weeks ago also?
a few weeks ago it was for a different reason. he now has to reset the time for sending the list. unfortunately, it may happen again when your daylight saving finishes.
in the US it ends nov 4
yeah, a month after ours starts. will try to keep it in mind. thanx jane.
hello everyone :)
Hi nan and everyone :)
me 8
pe8 & pe9
well, that finally sunk in
:)
me 7

don't know lizgirl.
*hugs rose* We will be fine.
*hugs Liz too*
Hugs both of you
the pe8/50 & pe9/66 is what i have.
Same
sprite, how are you doing after yesterday? were you able to sleep/rest last night?
rob and I both were low on energy and in a crappy mood yesterday. We cleared more clutter and stuff, but took it a little easier and we went to the place where the sea container is now, and put a stone with our names on it beneath it, as a symbol for our first step towards our tiny house.
oh wow !! *grinning from ear-to-ear* lovely
Noud gave us the suggestion. He said it is important to start letting go of the old house, and to remember that our house has not only been a special place for us, but for many other people who found a welcome with us. He suggested the stone, to 'anchor' all those good ties to a new place, and free up the old one.
i would also suggest symbolically cutting a string as you leave the old home, showing you are relinquishing all ties to it.
we should all be doing that
yes hurshy.... too true
I love that idea, rose, we will
re: the planet
roflol. Leaving for Mars?
no, but the end for the human race on this planet has pretty much been officially sealed now.
i agree hurshy. it's all very sad.
it's been pretty certain for awhile but today is like the official Official end
why is that?
hurshy, has something happened? specifically?
kavanaugh's confirmation officially removes any chance that the united states will act on climate change in the near future. it was already pushing "too late", there's no way now that things will be done in time. billions of the poor are doomed, and quite probably the entire race.
wow. That is a black statement, honey.
A sad day in the US for so many. I'm stunned.
oh, i saw that. scary stuff.
yeah, it's also true, honey.
hi all!! nbt/nbs
hiya dizzie, good job!
hello all - i found the pe 8/9 - cant find the me8 and have no idea what the other 9 is - help please
me 8 - method of cooking fish

it is not un5neet
hurshy, you must have faith, girl.
*hugs peach*
I found the fish... well kinda fish. Fish people.
Thanks, sprite.
It is the
French way of cooking it, sprite.
yeah. And me6, fish people. Not sure they can be cooked in the me8 way though.
not ethically
true
would have been a nicely alliterated dish though
i feel like this is revealing a callously ghoulish side of you, sprite, lol
*grins* Can't deny that
have we got the upper A?
os9. Plural stinky thing on caterpillars
at 4
ah silly me
Thanks, Sprite - had to google that. New word for me. Enough for now. have a good day / evening everyone. Hugs.
thanks sprite, that helped me know that i needed to turn to morewords, lol
woohoo... sprite you rock.... now tell me again how bad your english is......
yvw, Liz *hugs* to the both of you and have a great evening
lol rose... all those loose trivial facts that I retained from biology and other school classes...
15 words to go and slowed to a crawl....on my knees.... while i'm down here, anything i can do for anyone?
don't ask don
french boredom is in the grid too.
* lips are sealed* lolllll. did i ever tell you about his dear little jigging dance he does?
no, please tell
whenever i walk past, and i either pat him or caress him he jigs up and down. sort of like the involuntary movemen of a dog's hind leg when you scratch their sweet spot.
awwww that is so sweet!
now that you say so, I remember seeing him do that.
i have 8 tiles from which i am missing a single word...
ouch
moi aussi, granny!
infuriating ain't it, hurshy?
nah, i don't care
just found the worms and the river
well you're a better man than i, gungadin.... loll
worms... river...
ta6/7 and se5
oh ok, i have those then
i didn't know those were worms
phantom: serenade
tapeworms, iirc
two episodes of House MD turned out to be tapeworms
I love that series
yeah
there is an emily dickinson poem i found that i think really applies to him
would love to hear it
Much Madness is divinest Sense - To a discerning Eye - Much Sense - the starkest Madness - ’Tis the Majority In this, as all, prevail - Assent - and you are sane - Demur - you’re straightway dangerous - And handled with a Chain -
very apt
yeah, i thought so
now i have ni4/4 singletons, granny! lol
yay hurshy
24 words left all told
i still have missing 2 x s and 2 x d now. closing in on them... loll
well i need four each of A and P, so...
remove curls or remove breathing stuff, rose?
put clues up in profile until lickety is back, if anybody needs them!
ooh just cut the A to 2
bless you dfm. many thanx
yayyy dfmc, great service
ah the curls were mine sprite, thanks!
yvw hursh.
that's 90%, 20 left. gettin sleepy. laterz!
sleep well, hursh
also hi all :o)
hi :D
dfm, the second ac in your list notmaking sense
why not? I got the same one
you might have to refresh, and this is using enable2k15 (couldn't find the original)
forgot a multiply in the script the first time
aaahhhh, that did it.
ugh, plural bambi. I though plural bambi was the same as the singular.
oh there might be a bug to iron out still, looking into it...
it is enable that is odd, not you, dfmc :D
you are in the grid, ro4! Am very much ashamed to say it was one-but-last word I found :(
fireflies
WTG SPRITE !!!
how about you?
yay sprite, conga-rats!
STILL STRUGGLING WITH DFM'S LIST. NOT SUR WHICH WORDS I AM MISSING.
sorry for shouting.... loll
last-but-one*
which letters/counts?
she does have an extra ce4/6 in her list
don't know sprite. the list i have says there are 3 x da words, and 13 x de words, and 1 x di word. that's 17 and there are only 14 according to the tile.
fixed it - refresh!
thanx dfm. well done. xoxox
aggghhhhh, face/hand..... two obvious de words.
guessing the extra ce was "ceca", the script forgot that even the first letter couldn't be re-used... hehe
I cannot make the excel thing work. The formula just is not taking!
and done. the un6, water nymph was my last.
wtg rose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
conga-rats rose too!
dmfc, are you good with excel?
kind of?
I am trying to insert a formula to take the first two letters of the word. But when I do this one, it does not work: =left($B1,2) with B being the cell
weird, that should be fine - what error message does it give?
#NAAM
omfg... never mind. I forgot I am using a dutch excel and it needs me to enter dutch commands. Jeezzz. Got it now.
oh yeah was gonna suggest that after seeing your error message :o)
roflol, that finally registered with me too. Thanks!
I hate dutch programs. Grrrrr.
=LINKS($B1;2) ;o)
okay, off with me, lots of stuff to do and I want to go to the OA meeting too. *hugs* to my friends. An extra hug for rose. And to you all, a blessed day and a pe5ful night.
you use a different separator too o.o
bye sprite!
yayyy that is the one, dfmc. But the comma worked fine.
xoxox sprite honey. and dfm, thanx for the list.
Just fixed the Daylight Savings issue
Clues are up
thanks lickety

Hello everyone...Happy Sunday
Good day to all.
Hi Scrabs!
How are you doing?
Great! You?
Deep in grief after sudden loss of bunny Remy.
hi car, scrabs
oh noooo, i am so sorry
I know...I am so sorry :(
Hello welki
On Sept 24. Then I went to the Adirondack Mtns for a week. I returned Friday and am acutely aware of his absence.
i did know - confused remy with lightning
(your sister's bun)
Lightning is holding his own and might have an echocardiogram on Thursday.
This grid is quite overloaded with vowels.
Yes, yes it is
Well, I managed to find at least one of each letter, so there is that I guess
I have some blanks: 2nd column n, 3rd column e, 4th column e's
ni 4/5, er 4/4, fourth column E's are er 5/10 and er 4/4
I found an na5/12
Yup...you are correct. Sorry about that one.

Na5/12 has 3 vowels in it!

I will look with you, Flask
i am also looking.

ty mkg for the pe 8/9
the na 5/12 I have only has 2 vowels
Flask, there is no ce5 on the list. There are 2 ce4's and 2 cr5's
Scrabbler, am so sorry!....am obviously very confused...sorry for wasting your time!
I decided to check the list, and I found words while searching, so no time was wasted.
98 left and I am done. Maybe I will return tonight. Enjoy the day.

It has been a strange run of months. How was ye merrie olde Englande?
I saw what I wanted to see in Enlgand but need to go back to Scotland and Ireland, where I really wanted to go in the first place.
Are you teaching again this year? What grade
:-) . I loved the pics you posted. Looked like good weather for a visit.
It was great. Not too hot and the rain would miraculously disappear when I wanted a picture
Yes, teaching again, still third grade. Three anaphylactic incidents in the last two weeks... Allergist scolded me for not using the epipen right away on the first one, the others were more subtle and didn't get bad until middle of the night (bi-phasic reactions are the WORST) so I wasn't awake to know I needed them.
So, not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep at it, but loving it while I can, and appreciating the fact that I am finally making a salary commensurate with my education level.
OMG. Please take care. Too many people would miss you if you misjudged the severity too often.
Tom must be sleeping with his eyes open
I know. And I really AM very careful... but I cannot control what chemicals my colleagues, students, and their families choose to bathe in. LOL . no, Tom doesn't even notice anything when he is wide awake unless I point it out to him. ;-) . He's a good man, but he isn't very alert to physical things.
hi bugs
waves to ruru and his dogs
hey ruru!!!
...cleaned dogs.. :D
hello stidster
Anyway, it's a lovely group of kids this year, and I am enjoying (almost) every minute of it. This grid on the other hand... tricky little devil!
cleaning dogs is the worst unless they love the water. They still hate soap tho

Smart man! Wally needs bathing again -- last time he drank the bath water, so... LOL it takes a village to bathe this dog!
I just brush mine. Water on his curls is not good
Good man ruru. Smelly dogs are pretty bad.

Wow, cool! I'm good too, no Steinway, but still good :)
the second row, third column E.
Just going to patiently wait here for someone to type one of the 9's in the chat ;)
The Steinway was a dream come true. I had an old Henry F Miller baby grand before that. Steinways are all they are cracked up to be.
I haven't even got to the big words.
So, I almost bought a house, that didn't happen. A few weeks later I strolled into one of Cleveland's last piano stores and. . .
