Flip! LOL Was trying to find a good pic of my Wally. Have to go do teacherish things tomorrow, so will sign off and see you-all again soon I hope! *poof* -- and if O2baflyngdog is still here, I think I found you in fb and messaged you.
Ok, I'll have a look. G'night!
nbt, should i sat or should i go?
hello everyone :)
derp -- still not a word

Clues are up
six u words???????where???????????how???????\n????
I still have yesterdays clues!
Phanton: metronome
Does anyone else still have yesterday's clues?
right click on the clues and choose refresh from the drop down menu
haven't listed yet, try a hard refresh (shift+F5)?
or maybe it's ctrl+F5
No, I’ve got today’s. Sorry!
ok...thanks!
or right-click in the margins of Lickety's and hit reload or refresh page or whatever... at least that works on desk models
The control + F5 did it...thankyou!
I'm more than halfway, NBT, NBS, and that means it's waaay past time to brush my teeth and head to bed. G'night all
it sometimes will pull up your previous view of the page especially if you have "save data" or "load faster" settings on (like chrome does by default) even if you refresh normally, ctrl+F5 or shift+F5 forces the page to load fully
ur6,7
thanks DFM I will bear that in mind!

crashing -- good night
nite nan, thanks for the 8-9
good mornig all
morning to you, spritey (though late night for me)
hiya hursh, evening!
hi :)
lol, yesterday we had pious Aeneas, and now we have Di4/6
i only see two U words
I have them all, need help?
sure, i have pee and a pee tube
first general clue: they all share the same 3 first letters
mk that got me 2 more so far
5/14 and 6/24
and you are looking for 1x4, 3x6 and 1x7
for 6/7 think of goose down as ending
thank you, sprite. Got them all from that :)
me too thanks
yw dcseain
my pleasure, hursh
cooee and g'day {{{{{sprite}}}}} {{{{{{hurshy}}}}}} {{{{{{seain}}}}}
coooeeeee roooooseeeeee! *hugs* Good evening, dear friend, how are you doing? Any recovery time today?
i cannot match this
yes honey... all day a recovery day... and you sweetie? any relief from all that stress on the ol' body?
match what, hursh?
the level of enthusiasm
still going strong here, lol... today is kids day, Tim and Caya and Lisa and us making a dinner together and all. Tomorrow... tomorrow I am gonna crash.
bless you sweet hurshy. *sends some enrgy over*
no reason you should, hursh. Just be yourself and we will love you to pieces.
mk thanks :)
my good deed for today did not go unpunished. i noticed that one of my sister's gerbils had blood on one leg. so we decided to get her out and try to gently clean the wound with a wet cotton ball and a little dish soap. i held her while my sister cleaned, and the poor little freaked-out scamp bit me.
aw poor hursh
gerbil is a phantom today
indeed
but the one that bit me was no phantom, lol
lol Hurshy...
hiya Flask!
definitely not, lol. Sharp teeth on them too.
Hiya Sprite
i just hope that the wound won't get infected
you'll be fine!
we read that rodents have fatal reactions to certain antibiotics, though others help, and we couldn't find the name of the one my sister had for her dogs in any of the lists of either safe OR fatal, so we decided not to try to use it
*healing desinfectant vibes to hurshy's finger*
hey ya flask. long time no see honey
no i mean the GERBIL'S wound, i'm worried about her
if mine gets infected, i'll get treated and i will not die
let it lick the wound as much as it wants
Hey Granny...nice to see you, how are?
well of course, sprite. we can't really stop her from that anyway.
long time no see indeed, Flask. How are you doing?
have done better flask, but not gonna die just yet... loll
hey i just had that thing where you type in something and don't expect it to work and yet it does
Well Granny am pleased for you, how was your christmas?
btw, sprite, flask, it is looking more promising for May 2019. i, and DH, will most certainly be over for 4 weeks then.
we once did all we could to prevent Terra from licking a wound at his foot, then the vet told us we should have let him, it is their way to clean the wound and usually works better than the things we can think up.
awesome, rose!
would humans licking our own wounds help clean them?
christmas was frenetic to say the least, flask. hence today being a recovery day..
Hurshy, tell us what the word was then we can all try it and see if it works us?
probably not, hursh, with all the bad stuff we eat like sugars and all
hurshy, have you never sucked a jammed finger, or a paper cut?
well flask, it is an en6. you take a normal en6 word meaning to last well over time, and then you change the last letter
yes, granny, i have sucked, but not licked.
this convo is going downhill fast, LOLOLOL
*giggle* hurshy....
this one, i tried to push out blood for a while, washed, and put on antibiotic ointment and a bandaid
sounds good to me
Wow! it worked for me too.....do you have anymore like that???...lolol
what i gathered from the internet seems to indicate that it is not nearly so worrisome as a cat bite
well, i have made one trip through the grid. i have half the 7s but no 8s or 9s, with 27 words left altogether
Hi all
not too bad
*hugs Liz* Hello dear one! Great to see you, how are you doing?
it was the same for me hurshy. those biggies totally eluded me too.
Yes, I think the big ones are hard today!
HEY LIZGIRL !!!!
may i have some clues then? :)
Hugs, friends
All’s good here - as usual. Hope you’re all well and are enjoying the holiday season.
Hurshy is it me you'reasking?
only have 7x2, nothing bigger yet, sorry hursh
en8/9. en + most of extinct bird + epid***, top layer of skin
no flask, i'm just asking anyone who might be able to assist, such as granny, who spoke in the past tense :)
ahhh thanks granny :)
thanks for the skinny ones
Thanks, Rose.
i always enter the forest moon of Endor, even though it's both fictional and proper
ge9. ge + most of sign of future + first part of neptunes fork.
I have that same thing with Oreo. Cannot stop myself.
ooh what a fancy one!
sign of future?
sign of future = om4
ohhhhh right, thanks
Thanks again.
thanks
me9. me + first part of dessert made with sponge, jelly and fruit + last part of no longer living
Thanks again, again 😊
I’d never have found those without clues.
no longer living = dead... ead = not in the grid... = confused hurshy
past tense, hursh
The act of becoming that way, hurshy
now i will stop, before sprite reaches out through the screen and puts a trangle hold around my throat... loll
don't stop, lol, am loving the clues.
*giggle* strangle*
but if i use the past, then i can't get it to be 9 or if i do it is ... maybe i have the wrong dessert
i thought dessert = to5
dessert rhymes with stifle
what the first part of the fork called?
hursh, try this: Absolutely frozen to stone from fear, change first letter into M
Rhymes with being really scared pe 9 (notion grid)
much better clue sprite
ahhh
Easier the way Sprite wrote it.
both ways work if you have the right dessert lol
*takes bow* Thank you, thank you, couldn't have done it without you all though
i guess if i think i know that a to5 is not made with sponge
am still stuck on the GE clue
(insert comma after "think" in that sentence)
if there is ever a WRONG dessert, please don't tell me... loll
flask it is mostly a math subject
Flak - more often ends with c
but then you make the ending like if you want to pay with a personal check you may have to show two forms of...
I know...just can't get the ending
it ends in inversed soil, filthiness
i put about the ending but idk if the thing about checks is only a US thing
Excuse typos today.
THANKS....got it!
yay! :)
mk so that wraps the 9s, how about another 8 or two? :)
yay flask
fi7/8. flames + not a cat
compound flames + pet(s)
ahhhh yay that's F Finished too!
thats a new word to me...
ro8. circular shape minus a vowel + french water
it's the iron things in the fire that hold up the logs, i believe
dunno why they called them that
sorry, thats ro7
needed that too though so thanks!
limiter, something that qualifies another thing, mo8
mo8. mo + princess who has died + flames mixed up
thanks spritey!
yvw
given her name, i guess you could say that she di'ed every day she lived...
*giggles*
i think that's all the 8's.

Geordie is a proper noun.

Same here
i am just sitting down after unpacking from chrustmas visit.
Unpacking is not my favorite thing.
that's why i did not let it slide. empty food containers and presents must still be dealt with.
You're doing the right thing.
feels good to be home, though home is in chaos ;0
:) Totally get it!
i received lemon white balsamic vinegar and oiive oil as one gift. my niece made dressing with them that we served. i cannot wait to make some.
That sounds wonderful!
my sil has become wary of the ingriedients in commercial dressings, so has begun to make her own. we had lemon and fig
it was very good. dressings are easy to make but i never do unless it's for a recipe.
It takes a bit more time, but home made are always better to me.
that's so true! even a simple balsamic vinegrette.
I assume because of all the preservatives in store bought.

Holy Moly. I don't think I have spent more than 2 waking hours away from the cooker in the past 4 days. Full Irish breakfasts every day - soup & sandwiches 3 hours later - then a full meat, potatoes & 2 veg dinner 3 hours after that. I'm exhausted.
What the heck are you doing, Soodle? Don't your people have hands? :)
Sounds like you need to rechristen the "holidays" to the "hellidays"! Make them help more?!?!
I launched a protest this evening. Apparently - breakfast will be delivered to the Soodle-Bed in the morning...
Well done!
Lol, we'll wait & see what gets offered, Champ!!
As long as there's a warm beverage and a little something-something...
Apart from being chained to the cooker, Christmas Chez Soodle was lovely. I hope yours (all reading this) was as peaceful & pleasant.
I have learned never to critique those offerings however terrible... I smile and swallow and figure it beats getting up and making b-fast myself!!
Plus, I'm still (vainly) trying to create a habit of thinking of others...
The only time I complained was when they put salt in my coffee thinking it was sugar. :'_
Natasha - my mantra in these times is 'What's seldom is wonderful'
INDEED!!
But it could be less "seldom" and then they'd be better at doing it!
It's all been good here. Still like everyone. The college kids are less messy this time, and married son/daughter in law were present and helpful when requested.
I trained my DH to do the laundry. It did involve "sacrificing" several beloved pieces of clothing to his "mistakes" with the bleach. But I bit my tongue till it bled and now he does the laundry without being asked.
Always good when you still like everyone after the holidays, Champ. I'd call that a result!!
If you still like everyone on the 27th... wowee kazowee!
The laundry is always a pain in the butt. May be "done", but still in dryer. May be done and out of dryer, but on kitchen table. And yes soodle...agreed!
It does help that they're working and earning money on their break. We all get some apart time.
I'm happy to fold so long as I don't have to cart it up and down the stairs!
Law and Order reruns are excellent for folding to
I can watch that all night long!
Me too, sadly.
Natasha - sometimes it takes a mangled tongue to keep a marriage intact! Well done you!!!!
Miss Jerry Orbach still.
LOL Soodle! As my neighbor says, "Sometimes the secret to staying married is... STAYING MARRIED" \
LOL Soodle! As my neighbor says, "Sometimes the secret to staying married is... STAYING MARRIED"
Hmm, don't know why that posted 2x but a good cliche is worth repeating
Well, it's true. You just keep going, and there you are!
Well, 46 left to go... need a break. bbl
Well, 46 left to go... need a break. bbl
Guys - if any of you subscribe to Amazon Prime .... Believe me.... Outlander is one of the best series I have ever watched.
okey dokey.
I loved the books, just haven't gotten caught up in the series yet. The girls got me into The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and am loving that. Only 2 seasons though.
Bye Natasha ((()))
Sheesh.... Mrs Maisel did nothing for me!! But... Outlander... great story, really well told & & more eye candy than you could shake a stick at!!!!
Well of course! If you haven't read the books...highly recommend.
I love the clothing and styles of Mrs. Maisel. Very nostalgic.
Well finally FW! Clues?
Outlander is outstanding. I toured Scotland in the 1980's;the Isle of Skye was wonderful...sheep everywhere!
Hi I'm sorry, I hadn't introduced myself. I'm Jacqui from
Irvine, Ca, originally from NYC.
One of the babble words is bairn. Means baby.
hi egbok, welcome to Babble. Just to let you know, we try not to put "answer" words in the chat. Only clues, and only when asked for. Sometimes people make typos and put words in by mistake & that's okay. hope that's alright with you. You can put all your personal info in your lovely profile, including pix and your music, too! Enjoy.'
but bairn is not one of the words today...
Mrs. Maisel is a hoot, I love it! I binge watched the first two s cenes. Tony Shaloub is terriffic.
egbok - left you a message at 5:10
90 to go, and stuck. going to the list!
I see the "help" area is not functioning. Got any questions?
I just finished the sopranos, and am looking for another series to watch.
Hi Harry - what did you think of the ending?
I'm sorry, I was just mentioning a Scotish word.
well obviously I'd heard of the ending years ago...but it was still discomfiting
egbok has been a member since 2011 so is probably up with everything
hi all first re6 pls. 8 re words left
nm
Thanks lynxxx. My apologies egbok - A friend of mine started to play aa few weeks ago and gave up because there was no "help" so I made a wrong assumption with your entry. Very sorry.
PS the Help is working for me
I'll try again later. The signal is playing on its roller coaster again today. It just interrupted me again writing this. i shall go hide my head in a bucket before I say something else.
Bye
see you soon - bye
do6/7 is news to me. we always called them bumper cars.

just finished so I'm off. Hope you're able to get some sleep tonight, ruby
togs
sorry
I think do6/7 is a Brit term for what we here in these united states call bumper cars. I've never heard those words used for them either.
well I am from Michigan originally and that is what we called them all the time.
it is a shortened term for the word them at the end
meaning avoid them
Ah, I see. Maybe it's a regional thing here in the land of the free and the home of the brave, then.
Hi all, hope everyone survived the holidays in one piece.
hi all. need clues majorly...........have no 8s or 9s. help!!!!!!!!
also not finding the words for the E in second column 4th row. clues welcome with stats of course.

i can only think editor and not in grid
ed + what ** + 3 letter ending. I have never seen it like that, only with the Y ending that is common, which would be ed 5/11 (if Y is worth 3?)

fi7 is a term used for implements to adjust the wood and coal of indoor flames.

tomorrow's my birthday.
Poem or song with a french ending... ro7
Today is mine, mix.
Saturday is my sisters. Lousy time to have birthday.
Yeah. I had three of mine in January. Only a little better.
Happy birthday smithchick.
My son's is Christmas Eve. He loves it - the whole family gathers for Christmas, so they're here for his birthday!
Thanks! Happy birthday to you tomorrow if I'm not on here.
Pastor, everybody left after Christmas around my house. Including my siblings who went and stayed with my grandmother or friends and my mother, who went back to work. It was always a little lonely.
Yeah, that part would be hard to take!
mixi, ro7 french word. circular shape minus the letter u + french water
ty granny. fw.
and the happiest of Birthday wishes to you both, Mixi and Smithchick.
ty, granny. Congrats, mixi!
WTG MIXI6!!!
wow so many clues and all great. ty ty ty
i dont do the birthdays.
we give 1K check when they are born. then every year, each child and spouse (6 kids, 6 spouses) and every grand child get $36 dollars for hanukah gelt. 36 is the number of candles lit for chanukah: 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8. it is also double chai in hebrew meaning double life which is a great thing to wish someone. so for all the grands and kids and spouses we give over 1200 dollars for chanukah........it adds up.
otherwise, when i visit, i bring my bubby bag full of freebees for kids to take if they wish, and i sometimes take kids to the dollar store to get treats.
that is all i do unless there is financial need and then of course it is the parents we would give money to.......so far luckily most of them are fine. but two are struggling and we help.
we hope that those 2 will soon be on their feet and doing well.........they are holding jobs and managing and we love them a lot. and what is money for if not to help. my husband came from a family where his father hoarded money and claimed poverty his entire life. when he died all were shocked at how rich he was and the IRS took it all as he did nothing to protect it......it was horrible. so we would rather give to kids now if we can. just now we must take from our retirement accounts and so if we have extra we will be traveling and then fixing our house as it badly needs. and after that if any is left, we will give gifts evenly.
you have a well-thought-out plan - that's awesome!
Good morning Vietnam. We're on the Me Kong river
ty. i live as my parents did. they were amazing. they couldnt do enough for us. and they had very little to ever share financially. never had much money. but they were happy and loving.
