I've gotten a little adventurous with my dining today - you may (or may not) recall I recently had two operations to sort out some intestinal problems. Today I had eggs and toast for breakfast for the first time in about 4 months or more, and so far so good, haha.
oh wow! Milestone, rbud! Am so happy for you. Isn't it absolute bliss, to finally be able to eat something real again?

I've gotten really good at running tuna and chicken salad through a little blender, though - comes out like tuna mousse, not bad.
ugh yes. That gets boring fast. It is a long haul for you. I hope the upward spiral will continue and you will be able to eat a stew soon.

hahaha!! well, I put boiled eggs and pickle juice and other goodies in it, not bad, taste-wise.

not too bad physically, except that my breathing has gotten a bit worse over the weekend. went to dr. and he prescribed another type of inhaler. I quit smoking in August, you'd think it would be getting better, wouldn't you?
it might take time. While your lungs get cleaner, the bad stuff has to go somewhere, right?

I just keep trying to drink more water to help flush and loosen stuff, but it's hard with the slowness of my digestion. things go through so slowly, I can't eat or drink a lot at once.
as long as you keep up a steady input of fluids, your body will do the rest. I am certain that you do not have to drink more than your body can handle :)

It is. We all know it's coming eventually...but when it's your own parent, it's hardest. He helped me through losing my mom, now it's my turn. Breaks my heart, they are so close.

We're both the oldest of two. My brother passed a few years ago. His sister lives near dad, so has been doing a lot of the care, but all she does is complain about how much time away from home for her...not to mention I didn't even see my husband until the 7th day of the year!

I don't think the de10 is misspelled. I think the word has a different meaning spelled this way. In dutch (coming from the french) it would mean when a firm or shop has a second office/shop in a different location.

Pesce spade con potate..probably misspelled, but a dish I love to fix, Tuscan . Bought the cookbook at the library thrift store and fell in love with the pictures of that area, so we went there and it was just fabulous.. hego goes there for the food too!

Yes, we had a gas grill. I used a crock pot a lot. An electric skillet and an electric roaster makes a fine little oven.
i have to admit, I get confused as anything when I visit my sister in law in ireland. she has an Aga and LOVES it, but to me they just don't make sense, and the oven cavities are way too small
