Thank you, Lickety.
ho 6/39
diz.. grannie.. do you remember last year when your country had an american visitor and a plea from the mom of a traveler??
hi all.
hi mkg
hi
?? @ "sammy" what's your point?
Diz kicked some butt on this grid sans clues - yay for granny :)
Oh, sammysmom, I remember that.
good morning all
Hi there, sprite. How are you feeling today?
*hugs peach* Hello dear one! I am okay, pain still manageable and not too bad energy levels. How are you holding up today?
yoohoo !! g'day peach....g'day sprite.... hugs by the armful for you both. xoxoxoxoxoxoxox
The pollen is in full swing...otherwise, I have felt worse.....so guess I shouldn't complain.....now you have a legit reason to just take it easy. I know you will be so happy when you have all of your strength back.....and you will.
*hugs rose* Hello my dear friend. How has your day been and how are you doing?
Hey, rose! Hugs back attcha.
i have taken it very quietly for most of the day, honey. weather is warming up AGAIN.... i did clean our bathroom.... but in stages *grin*
ugh at the pollen :( Not at all pleasant. Glad to hear you are not feeling at your worst atm. I hope things will improve more though! And you can complain, if you need to vent. Very healthy to do so, every now and again.
yeah, I'll be happy as a clam when I'll be able to walk a little again, hoping for ... not at all sure of the english phrasing... plaster you are allowed to put your weight on so you can walk.
good girl rose! You are doing so great, honey, learning to pace yourself that way. Not easy, I know. Yay for the bathroom, blech for the heat, and hugs for you.
Yes, and when did the doctors say they would be able to put you in some plaster casts?
need to find food.....back a little later....
walking cast is the term you are looking for. usually has a little rubber heel on it so you don't slip. but you will still need crutches of some sort as you will be only partially weight-bearing.
not sure yet, peach. I have to go back to the hospital next week. They will remove the stitches, check the ankle and decide if I get plaster to walk on, or the other kind and instructions not to put weight on the ankle for another 4 weeks.
ah right, walking cast. Thanks honey
i have seen a sort of seated scooter thingy. you can kneel on the seat and scoot with your good foot.
yeah, but partially weightbearing will be such an upgrade from this :) Hoping and praying. I really really want to be allowed to put some weight on it. It will help me balance, if nothing else.
ohhhhh that would be awesome. I was thinking of something like that, didn't know it already exists. Of course, it probably won't be available in the netherlands yet.
*giggle* do you remember when the surgeon sent me home on crutches, and i fell over in the laundry? poor don... he didn't know which bit of me to touch. me ? i was laughing hysterically.
check it out at your chemist or where ever you would hire such aids.
lol yeah I remember. Nope, not available here yet. Ah well, I will make do with crutches later on. For now, the walking rack and wheelchair will suffice.
just checked...called a knee walker or a walker scooter
yeah. I found them. Just not here yet.
I can order one to have it imported, but I would need to buy it then. Pretty silly to buy something I will only need for a couple of weeks. It's okay, honey, I have all I need.
hmmm..... what about trying at a physio clinic?
am due back at the hospital on march 6th. If no walking cast then, I will try that.
try at the hospital then .
did I tell you the leg of the caravan table broke off? We ordered a new one, was delivered yesterday, I thought... turns out they made an error while packing and we got someone else's order. Sigh. So there we go again.
will do, sweetie.
good heavens..... how damned inconvenient...
just called them. What would be your first word after hearing you messed up so badly?
i'd start with i'm sorry
me too. Not them. He is gonna fix it, that he promised, but not a single sorry. Ass.
hummmph.
yeah. It is so silly. Even with a screw-up like this, with a heartfelt sorry he'd take away my bad feelings. Now, I am not ever gonna use his store again in future.
brb.... phone call
all good, honey
still 45 words to go so will be here for a while, lol
s'okay. begging call and don is trying to tell them we are already supporting a very similar organisation.
lol, it was so very cold this morning... Rob went out of bed and turned on the heater... went back to bed. I opened my eyes and said: Shouldn't you close the roof hatch before turning on the heat? He'd totally forgotten to close it for the evening and night, lol.
lolll.... no wonder it was so cold....
indeed. And lots of mosquitos.
ugh.... hate mozzies.... that high-pitched whine drives me nuts....
poor man, it is all a little too much for him. Today, he has a meeting at work about which other jobs he might be eligible for in te organisation
oh me too! The stings, mwah, I can accept those. But that whine. Ughhhhhh.
sounds interesting... does he have any idea of what they are going to offer him?
no, this meeting is with someone whose job it is to figure out the possibilities. We will see. Rob's new manager is much much better than the last one and is gonna help as much as she can, so I am a little more positive things will work out for Rob.
so glad that the new manager is better. then again, anybody would be better than the last so-and-so. he must start to feel better in himself when a manager thinks she can do things for him... and that he is worthy of her attempts to help him.
very true, he does
phantom: whatsoever
phantom of phantoms i say... loll
*giggles*
nearly dinner time honey. i must go and see what he's up to.
okay dear friend. *hugs* and lots of love for the both of you. Enjoy your dinner and evening.
thanx honey. luvsya. glad we were able to chat for a bit. xoxox

Oh look, it's that sheep person. You are in the grid today. That makes you a baaaaad ass. : D
Not with my skinny white legs.
I only have one left and can't find it! First RE6. This is the easiest grid since I started playing again.
A grayish green.
Can someone give me a clue for the de7, please?
the most de4
Oh THAT d! Thank you
The DE 7 ocean.
In "Free Fallin'" Tom Petty said, "It's a long day, livin' in Re6"
My stomach is growling at me.
My stomach is growling at you too, Zooz.
pet it maybe zooz
Thank you all
well, I racked my brain for crayola colors of grayish green and couldn't get it, so I broke down and looked it up. Thanks anyway. Got my fireworks, now gotta get on with it.
Prob would've gotten that, Molly!
Nah not going to pet it I am going to stuff it. Back later.
Never heard of that color. I know "greige", but that's only from watching HGTV.
Fire twirps!
'Grats, Judi
18 left and listing
And out. Thanks again for the help, and I'll see y'all later

molly clued below at 9:46
if you're a Tom Petty fan or an LA expert
am neither, different clue, pls
don't know who Tom Petty is and have never been in LA other than to drive through on #10
the first re6/21 is like the second re6/21 except swap the last two letters and change the vowel in that final pair
don't have the second
ty dan bit
it is a plant, a minor planet and also the name of a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley.
2nd re 6 is to sow again
ty dan, got it
yw both
da 6/24 please?
firewords! thanks molly & lickety and all cluers. start af6 was my last
da6 is like Mother Na6 with a different final vowel
*!*~*!* ty dan
woo hoo cybernan!
^5 dan
on my way -- have the cohen inquisition on tv - time to shut it off - getting tired of the badgering
vi 5/16, pls
I lost interest when the Republican kept going on and on about procedure and his other whining.
Vi 5/16 - sounds like a disease that goes around with a different vowel.
Well, not exactly a disease.
It also affects computers.
ty sukee, nice to see you
re6/21 the first one please?
re & a car body type minus last letter
i'm at a loss on the car body; there's no c nor L in the grid.
dcseain, a 4-door model
obviously DC rides Mopeds around
have DE 7 and FR 7 - stats for last 7
Tom Petty..."Free Fallin"...It's a long day, livin' in re6
I think the earlier clue referred to a Shelia E song...she's got big thoughts, big dreams and a big brown Mercedes se5...
oh, last letter, i interpretd last vowes. I've a bit of a cold and am fuzzy-brained.
FW
are there 6 PE words?

Sounds almost the same, end it in a vowel
ah, ok thanks!!
Yvw: )
hello 69 to go
Having a giggle about sp 6/24 - I see in the chat some babblers saying they would never wear the garment; here, they are known as "budgie smugglers"!
Or squirrel smugglers
Lol the beach will never be the same for me!
they call them nut smugglers where I come from....
which seems more forward than the other terms....
44 to go
Squirrels. Nuts. Same thing i guess
Nope
Well squirrels are always after nuts. ?
Squirrels hide the nuts
th5/14?
Then they are nutjobs ...
lol - what a solid conversation
essentially - yes. Nut jobs :)
Or maybe the nuts are shell-shocked?
that could always happen - you never know.
it is a risk
I'll have to bring it up in my next conversation with men if they wear squirrel smugglers or not just to see what their reaction is. ;)
he6? either one?
I've nothing - I'm just here for the nuts.
Both are based on the preceding he5/22. Rhymes with something that a person with asthma might do, or someone who's been running hard.
i found it thanks
but I could use th5/14?
th5/14 is a type of insect
Ends with a tear (e.g. in cloth).
I can give a lot easier clue if you want but thought we'd start there
or that, lol
thanks
i never knew what that word meant
12 to go
I only know because I found them on a mulberry tree last year and had to figure out what they were!
we6?
Sometimes yiddish squirrels mate with catholic ones
was that a clue Ruru? lol
We call them cashews out here
lordie I hope not
just checking my icon
yep all good. 333 next grid
7 to go and I am totally stuck
6
5
